I am not happy at all. First when I bought my puppy I was told I would get him in two weeks. Ends up the date scheduled was 23 days. Further, I was told I would get updated pictures and a weight update every two weeks. I eagerly waited, but of course no update. I called on Thursday, Friday and today. The agents are all very nice and say the have sent a message to the breeder. This may not seem to be a big deal to you, but if you knew everything I've gone through in the last month, you would definitely understand. This has been literally the worst month of my entire 50 year old life. I paid like I was supposed to and expect y'all to do what you said you would. Very disappointed.

Ok so now I’m posting an update. I spent almost 3400.00 dollars for a purebred long hair miniature Dachshund at PuppySpot.I felt guilty because I have always gotten rescue dogs. However, I really wanted a miniature long haired Dachshund puppy. I got him and instantly fell in love. However, when I got the DNA test back I found out he is only 37.5% miniature long hair Dachshund! He is 50% short haired miniature Dachshund and 12.5% terrier/other. As a resolution they said I could give him back and get a refund, or they would give me 350.00. She stated that the 350 was a courtesy and they didn’t have to do that. So, if you want to pay for a purebred puppy and get one who isn’t even 50% what you paid for, this is the place for you!
Delivery date negligence
Due to negligence on behalf of the breeder, my puppy is unable to join our family for another two weeks! I have taken time off of work, scheduled vet appointments, other family members have made travel arrangements to visit the puppy, etc. All of which will result in not only a financial setback w/ lost income, disrupted travel plans w/ change fees, and vet cancellation fees, but now I will no longer be able to take an extended time off to be with our puppy upon his arrival. This is all due to the breeder's negligence. They could not be bothered to turn in one simple form on time after collecting thousands of dollars in this transaction. Puppy Spot claims they have contacted the breeder multiple times with no answer, so they just had to postpone the puppy's arrival by another half of a month! Shame on the breeder and shame on Puppy Spot who claims that they only work with the best, most reliable breeders. Puppy Spot refuses to even offer any type of financial compensation for this situation. After calling customer service yesterday to find this out (since they would not share the reason for the delay with my on their Puppy Spot App which is their main form of communication), my issue has not been resolved nor did I receive a phone call as promised by their customer service yesterday evening. All I received was a form email w/ no resolution. I will not be recommending Puppy Spot to anyone in the future.
Desired outcome: 1. Get the form and deliver the puppy on the date promised or as close to it as possible or 2. Provide a refund for all or a portion of the $899 delivery fee due to negligence on behalf of the breeder
Customer Service
Very rude and just inappropriate. They will be the nicest person when you purchase the puppy, but if you have to cancel the attitude comes through. Don't purchase from this place.
Health guarantee
Don't ever buy from puppy spot: read my story. I am so unsatisfied with your kindness to animals will never EVER purchase an animal from your puppy mill again. I am in love with my little one and it's not her fault that she was bread Andy sold by such a disgusting company but the poor girl had a mass that could have likely turned to a cancerous tumor...

I made a purchase on line of a Labrador puppy. They charged my credit card $4, 563.39 for a puppy advertised for $3, 099. They added $899 for travel, $179 for a "puppy kit", that I didn't order. After reading complaints about the company for being a puppy mill, sending sick, dirty puppies and those with congenital or hereditary conditions, I called their Customer Service representative. I asked for the name, address and telephone number of the breeder. They refused, claiming "protocol". Every breeder I have talked to told me they welcomed calls from clients. I cancelled my order.
Refusing to return all our money when the puppy we were going to purchase lost half of its weight and we cancelled our order based on health concerns.
On Tuesday May 26th, I spoke with Anthony Smith of PuppySpot about a female Bichonpoo named Collette. Puppy ID 646544. She was 6 weeks old. Date of birth April 11, 2020. He sent me pictures of her parents. I asked a few questions that he could not answer including what testing the breeder does on the parents for eye and orthopedic health so he offered to call the breeder. He tried calling the breeder and was told that he was busy but could be available in a couple of hours. Anthony called back a couple hours later with the breeder on the line only known as "Aaron". I was told that they would not reveal the breeders name until I made the purchase to protect the breeder. I asked Aaron to tell me about Collette and her parents. He told me that Collette was 2.5 lbs the last time they weighed her and she was on Royal Canin dry food. He told me that he did not do specific testing on the parents for eye and orthopedic health but that they see their vet regularly and the vet told him they have no issues. He told me that he intends to start having his dogs tested for these areas specifically. I asked about her parents age. He told me they were 2 years old. I asked a few more questions about Collette's socialization and his background as a breeder. Then we hung up. Anthony called back and I told him that we would like to go ahead and get Collette. I asked about travel arrangements. He told me that she would need to be 8 weeks old and at least 5 lbs. He thought that they may be able to charter a flight to get her to Phoenix and estimated her arrival date on June 16th. He emailed me the Agreement Page while he took my credit card information. The total payment was $5, 840.02. That included $4, 549 for Collette, $799 for her health certificate and travel and $492.02 for taxes. After our call, I received an email with the terms and conditions of guarantee and letting me know that going forward the Puppy Manager team will be available to answer questions and a link to download their app. I downloaded the App and noticed that Collette's parents were only a year old. The next day on Wednesday I texted the puppy manager team via the App and asked how much Collette is weighing and if her dew claws were removed. I received a reply that she was 2.5 lbs as of a week ago. I replied that I was aware she had to be 5 lbs before she could travel, when would she be weighed again? The reply from the puppy team was that the breeder would monitor her weight and let us know. I did not hear back so I reached out again on Friday and they offered to contact the breeder. They again told me that she is approaching the weight and age requirements which is 8 weeks and 5 lbs or 12 weeks. Due to the virus, transportation is more challenging and they had not received tentative arrival dates. I received an email on Saturday that Collette was now 7 weeks old. I was hoping she might reach 5 lbs in the next week or two so I texted the puppy manager via the App and asked for her weight again and the name of the kennel. Again, they replied that they had reached out to the breeder and they could not give out the breeder's personal information until the pup has gotten home! They apologized for the misinformation as I was told I would be able to get he breeder's name as soon as I paid. On Monday June 1st, they replied to let me know they had an update from the breeder and Collette is 1 lb and 3 oz. she is doing very well, we are in the process of weaning her and she is starting to eat puppy food. You can imagine my concern that she had lost about half her weight! I asked them to confirm her weight with the breeder and expressed my concern. The reply back was that they are also concerned and they had asked the breeder for current weight and current weight. They suggested that the wrong information was entered into the site in the beginning. I replied that the breeder also told me the same weight and I did not purchase a pocket puppy. I asked that they let me know right away. On June 2nd, I texted them again following up. The response back was that they had not heard from the breeder. At that point, I was tired of waiting for the breeder to address my concerns about her possible weight loss and I asked that they have a manager call me. They responded that they could not call me, I would have to call them. I called and spoke with one of their puppy managers named Leki. He told me that he called the breeder and they told him it is likely she lost some weight during weaning and they would call back later that day to verify her weight. I didn't hear back so I texted the puppy manager team on June 3rd and asked that someone please confirm her weight that morning. The response was that they did not hear back from the breeder and would let me know when they did. I replied back that I spoke to our vet regarding weight loss during weaning and would like to cancel our order. She does not appear to be healthy. I had waited two days to hear back from the breeder and was cancelling due to concerns about her health. They replied that they would have someone from their client services team contact me. I received a call from Carmen Johnson right away. He tried to talk me out of cancelling. He said that it is absolutely normal for puppies to lose a little bit of weight. I told him that after speaking with our vet and looking on-line, losing weight, certainly that much weight is not normal or healthy. My husband and I told him that we wanted to cancel our order with a full refund due to her health issue. He began arguing with us telling us that our vet didn't know and did we have proof that Collette was unhealthy? We told him that we are basing this off the information they are giving us and wish to cancel. He told us that they will keep $495. I told him we would dispute that. We hung up and called our credit card company to file a dispute. Looking at their website, they put Collette back on their site as available and she was sold within 2 days. She is now listed as 8 weeks and ready to go home. Somehow she gained almost 4 lbs? Or they gave us wrong information about Collette during the whole process? There is no reason to charge us a fee.
Dalmatians are perfect as a companion, a watchdog for family and a marvelous pet. I fell in love with how smart the breed is. There are not many dalmatian puppies for sale at affordable costs. This website said, Good breeders will ensure that both the parents of your new puppy will have good, even temperaments Moreover, they will also provide a loving and engaging home environment to their dogs. https://dalmatianpuppyplace.com . They're both affordable and have very useful info on adoption. They care for their litters and everything but I am still wondering if Dalmatians are easily trained ? What about their eating habits? Need additional info before making it final.

Sale and care of puppies
PuppySpot at first glance appears to be responsive. That is the case until you actually receive your puppy. The first time I should have known was when I asked for Breeder information and they provided the excuse that they have to protect their breeders and puppies from theft. Well we have in the past purchased from breeders and the breeders are usually proud of the puppies We lost our dog and we went to PuppySpot based upon the reviews on their direct website. What I didn't realize that when I attempt to leave a review on their direct website there doesn't seem to be the ability to do so. I did not do a general check as I have done now. There seems to be several reviews over the internet of others who have experienced what I have experienced.
Breeders are usually anxious to share the information, then I asked for the USDA # for the Breeder and apparently that is a secret as well. It is my opinion and the opinion of more than one vet we have talked with that this is most likely puppies received from puppy mills. The puppy is from Missouri.
Unfortunately our puppy came to us skinny and according to the vet was treated aggressively for Gardia risk while in PuppySpot's care. The vet was extremely clear that the type of medical care she received demonstrated that the breeder is well aware that it has this problem at the kennel and they sold her despite this issue. In addition the puppy guarantee is a joke. They delay, don't respond, claim they didn't receive complete record. Anything to delay and avoid.
We will do what we need to do to treat her. Her form of Gardia is so aggressive it has been over 3 months of treatment and she is still infected. As a result she misses out on puppy play dates, training and the like. She can't go to parks and play with other dogs and my guess is the puppies who have come from this Breeder are experiencing the same issues. She is on a special diet and still on medicine. Puppies get sick. But the secrecy of the Breeder (Name and USDA#), the aggressive Medical treatment by the Breeder for Gardia type diseases, and lack of response is unacceptable.
We are not sure ultimately what other health affects she will suffer. If this doesn't resolve we will need to take more aggressive medical action which has side affects. Beware of purchasing puppies from this company.
This just came in. They do not disclose the breeder. Roxi is a golden retriever. Again, I cannot stress enough not to purchase a puppy through this company. The plane ride alone will cause endless anxiety for the puppy. I would also suggest you google delta airlines regarding a puppy death during this type of transport. (no idea if this puppy was purchased through puppy spot) however, I would never ever do that to a puppy again after witnessing my dog's anxiety and reading about what happened on an unrelated delta transport.
In addition, Roxi's severe giardia resulted in health complications with her digestive system which still requires prescription food.
Do not buy from this terrible company. I got my Frenchie from a Puppyspot and the Breeder was in Missouri. Bonham Breeders all bad reviews.
My Baby died 20 months after I got him. Heartbreaking for me and terrible for this sick pup.
I am so sorry, honestly I don't know why there isn't a class action lawsuit against this place with all these reviews and treatment of live baby animals. I used to work there and then quit, they pay their sales associates minimum wage and if you don't meet your weekly quota then they will fire you. They brain wash their sales associates into scammy tactics. They just care about numbers opposed to humane treatment of puppies. Basically the top sellers were scum bags. I'm so glad I left that awful place. I am so sorry, I really hope you get justice.
Good morning!
We are in contact with a breeder from MIssouri and ready to make a purchase through puppy spot . Do you mind sharing theme of the breeder you purchased from and the kind of dog?
Lies and horrible communication
Horrible company! I enquired about a puppy and was told it was in Indianapolis which was only an hour and a half away. I purchased the puppy but was told a few days later it was actually in Ft Wayne which was a lot farther drive. After going back and forth we agreed on a date, pick up location (Ft Way e airport) and they offered me 100$ credit for the "miscommunication" of the puppies location. The day before the pick up I had not heard anything from them about a time or an exact location. The pick up spot was the Ft Wayne airport so I needed to know exactly where to go. I was on hold for over an hour while they went back and forth with the breeder. They came back and said oh sorry the breeder has to go to the Chicago airport now and can't meet at the Ft Wayne airport. They now told me I had to wait until another day and drive over an hour longer to accommodate the breeder. This was over twice the original drive time I was told. However they did say if I wanted to pay an extra 50$ the breeder would meet me at the Ft Wayne airport! I was lied to several times by the sales person, communication was pretty much non existent unless I called them. I finally asked for our money back after getting no where. They said they were going to charge me $495 then hung up on me. Thus is a money grabbing issue exploiting people who are trying to buy puppies.
follow through
My experience initially was very good. The information, follow up and interaction on finding the dog I was looking for. Once I made the decision on the dog I wanted to purchase, the performance from PuppySpot turned into a complete fail. Coordination on delivery, communication, information from one "manager" to another was terrible and condescending. I completely arranged my personal work travel around the delivery and was very transparent with PuppySpot about the travel constraints that I would be working around. They could not give me consistent information and literally rescheduled the delivery 18 hours prior to the planned delivery to a week later and could not confirm this is now firmed. My money was paid in full almost a month prior but I am now still waiting for delivery with a tentative date that now does not work for my schedule. At this point I have moved from highly recommending this group to highly discouraging folks from using this group...
My experience with PuppySpot was not the best. At first, I was excited to select and purchase a puppy, but things went downhill quickly. Trying to contact and work with this outfit is a joke. Every time you call, you get a different person. We even had to talk to people in the Philippines! Nobody ever knows anything and they never answered my e-mails. The delivery was messed up and nobody ever said why. Our puppy finally arrived 2 days late. The only good thing about this transaction was the puppy. She is beautiful, healthy, and happy; only the breeder deserves credit for that. I would not recommend PuppySpot nor would I go through the hassle of dealing with them again.
I had a very similar experience. Very engaged and eager to speak with you before the sale, and after you pay - silence. Then once you call, you're put into what I would describe as a call center queue waiting to speak with someone for awhile. Once the connection is made, the person you speak with is not as engaging or really able to answer the various questions you might have. There's unfortunately no regulatory measures over the sale of animals or puppies like these. This service is a puppy mill and if you're serious about being connected with a good breeder or want real information on what you think is a healthy puppy, then do not go through puppyspot. If I had to do this again, I would have held out for the dog I was looking for through a rescue organization.
puppy purchase
I contacted PuppySpot concerning purchase of a English Golden. Someone contacted me and he could had a difficult time speaking English language. I asked questions relative to the specific puppy I was interested in and he had no information pertinent to my questions. I asked him to give me specific information on the breeder, championship bloodlines and...

I got my first puppy thru purebred puppies. They received numerous complaints about puppy mills and came back as puppy spot. I had to cancel a puppy reserve twice due to surgery and the second time because my husband wasn't ready. Both valid reasons. Even though I had previously purchased two puppies, I was denied the ability to purchase another puppy. I...

First off I love the little puppy i bought from them but she had a parasite, was not being fed waht they said she was and contacting them to ask a question is a joke. Was told someone would contact me by the end of the day never heard from them for days. Puppyspot takes a big bite out of what you pay for a dog. When I was looking one of the puppys on puppyspot was priced for 2800 the same puppy was on puppyfind for 1200. Seriously...
puppy mill
This company has the worse customer service. They lie about vetting breeders before working with them and most are actually puppy mills. They scammed me out of $4, 500! I selected a puppy on July 18, 2019 and was assigned a puppy manager to assist in getting my puppy home only to find out she couldn't answer my questions. They sold me on using there transport team instead of flying to pick up myself. The travel travel date was delayed 4 times before I finally voiced my concerns. As soon as I did they said they can't place the puppy with me. I'm now trying to get my money back! It's a scam!
transportation issues, no communication about the issue
My family purchased almost $10, 000 worth of puppies from this company. There was no issue with the first two at all, service was great. But, when it came to the last puppy getting delivered it was a complete disaster. I was told my puppy was going to be at my house July 13th but multiple people. I got a text from the transport company with transport information that was for me, but with the wrong puppy and wrong date two days before the delivery date! I called them to fix the issue and was confirmed three different times to make sure it was adjusted correctly and that I would be receiving my puppy on time. I got a text the very next day with correct puppy information, but with the wrong date still! I called them to fix their issue once again and requested I be refunded my $799 delivery fee since they messed up so many times and that I would not be getting my puppy until a week later to be told no. So they lied to me the day before saying that everything had been fixed, when it had not. They told me I could reschedule but it would be another two weeks. I asked why all of this happened and they explained that they had to switch the transport company because the truck was full. They failed to notify me of any of this! I had contacted them 3 separate times prior to this incident to get more information on the transport and got a response 2 days later each time only to not get any information and that they would get back to me on this. I am extremely frustrated that my family spent so much money with this company to be this dissatisfied. I need at the very least this transport fee of $799 refunded to me as the company did not do their due diligence to make sure the customer was completely satisfied and communicated to about the issue they ran into. I purchased my puppy June 15th so this really should not have been an issue since the travel date remained this the entire time! Please refund me the transportation money asap. This is a copy of the receipt I received in my email for payment conformation just so you can see my individual transaction.
Lonnie (Puppy ID #604136) $2, 349.00
Health Certificate, Pet Carrier, and Travel $799.00
Taxes $299.07
TOTAL $3, 447.07
TODAY'S PAYMENT -$3, 447.07
REMAINING BALANCE $0.00
I paid way too much money for this to be handled the way it was and for no one to communicate at all with me about the situation. I now have to take the day off to receive my puppy since they scheduled my puppy's delivery date on a weekday without notifying me prior to scheduling. Fyi, my puppy is not even leaving until the day after it was supposed to arrive at my home. So I will not receive him until the middle of the day Thursday, July 18th. This is so unacceptable I cannot believe my family gave so much money to this company. My phone number is [protected] if you would like to contact me for any more information. Thanks
puppy sales
At first, PuppySpot looks like a great website with lots of puppies to purchase. However, the salespeople are just that... salespeople. I asked two different salespeople how big the puppy that I chose would grow to be. One said 70-80 pounds and the other said 100 to 120. They really have no idea. They will tell you anything to sell the puppies. They promised to send us photos and videos of the puppy after we purchased her. They never did. They promised that the breeder would answer our questions about the puppy we purchased. They never did. Even worst, the puppy that I purchased arrived sick. Two veterinarians confirmed that the puppy was sick for several days before shipping. Also, the customer service people did nothing to help our sick puppy. They just quoted the warranty, which actually does not cover illnesses that the puppies may have when you purchase them. So, the health warranty that PuppySpot promotes really means little. I asked multiple times to have a supervisor or someone from management contact me. No one ever did. And emails and calls to their customer service were not returned. We learned our lesson and will never use PuppySpot again, but will rather go straight to the many breeders available.
my puppy makana hart dn56704802
I purchased a puppy from PuppySpot and picked her up from the breeder May 19 2019.
I believe the breeder exchanged the puppy I'd adopted which was more expensive, for her sister of the same litter. Both puppies were advertised through PuppySpots website.
I've contacted PuppySpot more times than I can count for various reasons but it seems like when they have your money, nobody wants to return your calls.
I sent pictures of the puppy I currently have and there is no way they can deny I have the wrong puppy. This is too complicated to get fully into it but communication has been extremely PROBLEMATIC for me. I have to keep contacting them for updates but nobody gets back to me as serious as this complaint is.
I finally got a hold of someone and I was told customer service advocates is handling it. So I hope you got all the pictures I sent as that wasn't acknowledged, either.
sick/unhealthy puppy
Tim L in California bought a puppy. Their breeder is a puppy mill and the veterinarian failed to check the puppy for a hernia. I'm a chef and I noticed it. We were lied to from the start. Lied about the breeder, about the health warranty and health of the animal. Now they are refusing to refund the full price. I have called senator Marco Rubio's office about this company.
misleading information
I thankfully never got to the point of buying a puppy, although I was pleased to see so many positive reviews on their website, which I am now convinced were produced by the owners or employees. I was looking at a Pembroke Corgi puppy named Bree...black head, so probably a tricolor...with standing ears. I read about her, then went back to where I saw her picture, to go on to the next puppy. Imagine my surprise when Bree was now a much younger puppy of the same color, ears down, with a pink bow, and the puppy that was before called Bree was now named Jackie. I was confused, but went on to the next puppy that looked similar to the original Bree. Her name was Angel. After reading about her, I went back to the main page to find that Jackie was nowhere to be found, the puppy with the pink bow had a new name, and Bree was now a puppy two rows down. When I couldn't find Angel again, I decided to send a message to Puppyspot. After outlining all that I said here, I tried 4 or 5 times to submit my message but kept getting "error." Without changing any of my personal information, I entered a new message that just asked them to email me, and surprise! It went right through. A company that can sniff out a complaint before the message is even submitted? Obviously they've had so many complaints that they can. I wouldn't dream of doing business with such a shady bunch!
failure to uphold their health guarantee
We are the parents of a Morkie from Puppyspot. The puppy came from a breeder in South Dakota. Our puppy has tested positive for Giardia and its side effects have put the health of other family members in jeopardy due to compromised immune systems as they have had exposure to our dog. The parasite has also affected our 3 lb puppy due to the side effects of the parasite as well.
Giardia was not something we expected as the pre-flight veterinary exam, which was completed 3 days prior to her arrival, was attested to by a veterinarian who claimed that she had a "normal" gastrointestinal system. It was confirmed that the "breeder" did not provide a stool sample and/or the vet never requested one. I am of the purview that the puppy did not have a through veterinary exam prior to the flight. In addition, the "breeder" vaccinated the puppy herself and that proper veterinary care at the appropriate interval would have eliminated this issue.
Further, as no breeder ID number was able to be located for this person at the time the deposit was made, a search of same has revealed that our puppy is one of many puppies she breeds. Now, with a diagnosis such as Giardia, perhaps her housing is not a clean and healthy environment for puppies to be raised in. Further, research of the breeder together with a review of what Giardia is, this purported person from South Dakota, may possibly be a puppy mill with unsanitary conditions. With the above being said, your "health guarantee" states the following: It all starts with choosing our breders. We carefully screen our breeders and only work with those who meet our industry-leading standards. Once a breeder has been accepted into our community, we continue to ensure that they are raising healthy puppies by requiring comprehensive health evaluations for every puppy they place through PuppySpot." (As an aside, the typographicial errors in the aforementioned sentence are by PuppySpot.)In this case, the within diagnosis does not uphold their alleged guarantee.
It is unfortunate that I already had reservations with regard with purchasing a puppy through PuppySpot after reading the reviews about other owner experiences with regard to sick puppies. My concerns were expressed to Lynn at the time the discussions began with regard to our puppy and it was explained to my husband that there were "just a few bad reviews". I am now one of those owners with a sick puppy and I intend to make other aware of my "1 star" review and of the misrepresentations sold.
Due to this Morkie's diagnosis, PuppySpot does not comply with their own health guarantee and I am of the opinion that the examining veterinarian was a fraud
teacup puppy
I purchased what I was guaranteed to be a teacup Pomeranian. While they now state they make no guarantees to the size of the dog, they did listen to recordings and the agent did indeed guarantee this pup would be 5 lbs or under. At the "ripe old age" of 8 months, this pup is already 12 lbs. I called and spoke to the office numerous time, each time they assured me that they would get back to me. They blow me off, don't get back to me and have not kept their word on any type of refund. Once the pup leaves them, there is no such thing as Customer Service. I paid $3, 749 for a puppy that I could have rescued at the humane society for. Completely disappointed and let down by this organization and will NEVER recommend them to anyone I know.
