I have two great danes.My male is 9 months and my female is 6 weeks younger. They have been on this same dog food since we got them as pups at 8 weeks old. I have never had any issues. We recently bought a bag over the weekend (Sunday 7/16/23) and Monday (7/17) morning woke to my female covered in diarrhea all over her kennel. We limited her food Monday and she did ok. Tuesday my male is now having the same issues. I allowed the female to start eating and Wednesday morning was horrific. The male is now covered in diarrhea, and the female has it again. This 47lb bag of food is far from cheap. I am very confident it has to be a bad bag of food, nothing else has changed. Additionally, after seeking advice on a Dane FB group, there is an issue going on right now with this brand of dog food and I am not the only one. Sad for my puppies. I was pouring this into our 2 dogs' dishes today only to see what looked like worms & bugs. We were using this food at our 2nd home in Mo. while we were there as well. One of our dogs got sick and we ended up with a hefty $500. Now I'm wondering if this food was the culprit. I've never in my life had this occur and I've had dogs my whole life. This made me feel sick to even think about what they've digested.

I purchased the 40 count canned friaries. I have approximately 15 can left.

When I opened two cans they all refused to eat their food. One can was mariner’s catch and the 2 nd can was chicken & tuna dinner, both are Best Buy APR2025, numbers 31181157L63821902 and 31111157L63930953.

I opened another can of food and they all accepted it without hesitation.

On 5/2/23 I heard my nursing Mother cat gagging while eating a can of Grilled Turkey Fancy Feast. I opened her mouth and pulled out a 1/4 inch piece of flexible black rubber such as would be used in a gasket. I could see flecks of debris mixed throughout the food and immediately discarded it and the other cans of Turkey that I had. I believe they came from a 24 pack but I no longer have the box. Purchased from Kroger in Richmond VA some time in April 2023. The serial number on the can is 30639052L2A2231648 Expiration March 2025.

This food is nasty and unacceptable. My cats 20 yrs old and she's not picky. I purchase wet cat food once a month on my income and this month I decided to try your brand. My cat is trying to eat it but doesn't seem to be able to tolerate it. I'd like a full refund. This is going to cause my cat to suffer because she needs me to voice her dissatisfaction. I'm so unhappy with fancy feast wet 12 pk of cat food. Ive tried everything ti make it acceptible. Shes going to lose weight and starve waiting for a refund of the worst cat food i've ever seen. How could a purina product be so badly accepted by my car? I've owned a 1000 cars in my 65 years of living. All fed and raised in purina cat food. Help me feed my old cat. Shes hungry!

I went to FreshCo today at 13:55:56 pm 1550 Tecumseh & Huron Church I bought dog food cans cat food cans and a Lg bag of Purina Friskies cat food 7.26 kg. When I got home I opened it to put it in a container and at the bottom of the bag was wet and the food was moldy and smelled bad.I called the store and went to tell them but all I got was the run around again they kepted passing me to someone else and I did not talk to anyone so I left my phone number now this is the second time this has happened to me. Up front, I am aware from previous employment of mfg products that not many customers take time to complain of their dissatisfaction. In fact, only one customer of 20 in my business would take time to complain. They would simply select another manufactuer. THAT IS MY CASE of this matter I will explain:

I am a small Texas Rancher 80 yrs of age. Having purchased PURINA products since I was a young lad working for my father in the 50's. In fact, I wore shirts and shorts made of CLOTH Purina 100 lb feed sacks of Layena Chicken Pellets.

Always the product my father chose. Same here in my business over the years.

HOWEVER, quality of Purina products has eroded and I shall not purchase another sack of Purina Cattle cubes for the time I have remaining in my business. WHY? Well, I shall explain: I feed 28 head of cows daily from a hand applied pellets to the ground where they pick up the pellets. The entire 40 sacks were comprised of CUBES, DUST, & CUBE FRAGMENTS! Seems like the entire contents of each sack were "sweepings" or a matter of curing before processing the cubes? I dunno?

However, I shall search for another supplier of cattle cubes with my next order soon.

ALL written to advise; you must review your Quality Control procedures to avoid more loss of business and the good reputation Purina once had in my business.

I purchased a 14 lb bag of this food because the normal Original Purina Dog Chow was out of stock. At first my dogs happily chowed it down rapidly, like usual, then started throwing up and having diarrhea.
Then I noticed, toward the middle of the bag, it was moist and in clumps. As I investigated further, I realized the moist clumps had moldy spots throughout.
I was very concerned, immediately threw away the food, and located the usual Original Dog Chow I’ve feed them all their lives. They are turning their nose up at this too. It is what I’ve fed them their whole lives (10+ years).
I am so disheartened, have always been happy with this product, and now don’t know where to turn.
Have you changed your products formula recently? Please help. Thank you.

We run a boarding cattery at Stoneygate kennels and cattery, Burdon Lane, Sunderland SR3 2PT.
We have used your products for 7 years but recently have found that your pouches of Felix as good as it looks is giving off a Rancid smell as if the product is off or going off and we have been experiencing this for a few months now and we have found that the cats boarding with ourselves are not eating their food and the ones that do are either sick are have diarrhea could you please look into this as we have had no problems with your food other than the last few months.

I recently purchased a 17 lb. bag of Purina Pro Plan/Salmon and brown rice flavor, for my dogs after my veterinarian recommended it.

My Malteze and Morkie liked it until we reached the bottom half of the bag, when much of the dog food had turned to powder. I literally had to put it through a strainer to retrieve the rest of the kibbles.

I purchased it from Chewi.com in December 2022 and did not keep a receipt.

My dogs are allergic to chicken, so my vet wanted me to try the Salmon recipe.

I wonder if this is an issue with just this flavor or if others have the same problem. My dogs did not get sick, so I do not think it was contaminated or spoiled.

I would love to give the Salmon flavor another chance, but I was not satisfied with my first purchase.

Purchased 22lb bag of Purina One indoor cat weight control. In the bag was some type webbing on the food and larva attached to it as well. This isn’t the first nor the second time this has happened. I’ve attached photos, but not sure they uploaded correctly. This bag was purchased at PetSmart located in Baton Rouge, LA. Store # 1078. 10527 S Mall Dr. 70809. The date was Dec. 15th. I don’t have my receipt accidentally got thrown out. I have a pic of the back of the bag where Purina’s info is on it. I can show in bank statements that did purchase on the 15th of Dec and I spent a total of $99 and some change that day. All one cat food, treats and cat litter.

Hi there, I recently purchased your fancy feast hors d'oeuvre flaked tuna and was very dissatisfied. I am a cat rescuer and been relying on your products for years. My cats love your brand and I've been feeding them this brand for many years. I recently opened a package of food and saw that it had gone bad. The smell, color and texture was awful. The expiry date was April 2023. I have pictures I can provide. Our little fur babies are our family and the last thing I want is to have to spend money at the vet because my cats are sick from the food they've eaten.

I have been buying the 20oz. container for years with good product control as far as broken pieces are concerned. But the last one I brought had more broken pieces and crumbs than whole pieces. Have you changed your product recipe or manufacturing procedure? This is the only dry treat my three cats will eat.The price has gone up on this product quite a bit in the last couple of years and I do not want to pay for mostly crumbs. On November 28th 2022 I bought a large bag of Purina Dog Chow complete adult chicken flavor dog food, I opened it and when I got to about the middle of the bag it was kind of moist and I had a bad smell I didn't think really a whole lot about it cuz I've never had a problem with any of yours products but after I got to the bottom of the bag there was feces dropping and it look like torn up cardboard like it had been chewed up or something and it made my dogs definitely sick I don't normally complain I'm not one to complain I've been buying Purina for years but when it made my dog sick it kind of got me worried

I purchased the 30/20 purina pro plan dog food and I found WORMS in the food. It was absolutely disgusting! I expected so much more out of the dog food that is ‘highly rated.’ When speaking with the store that I purchased from, they said they receive many complaints about the food coming back with worms in it and it’s due to the type of bags the food goes into. Clearly this is a serious issue as it could cause medical issues for my dogs (and other peoples dogs). I don’t know how you could continue to sell this without upgrading what is needed to ensure this stops happening. Needless to say, I will no longer be buying dog food from Purnia Pro Plan.

I recently bought a bag of Purina Fancy Feast dry cat food, savory chicken and turkey. When I opened it and poured it into my cat bowl a few pieces of cat food came out followed by a large chunk of the food which was a solid mass. There were several very large chunks in the bag, which I had to throw away as my cats could not eat them. I opened the bag 11/08/22. The best buy date is Feb 2024 with a number underneath which is 2237 1082 1834L 18. I have included a picture of one of the chunks for you to see.

I purchased in Petco the cat food and when I got home I noticed that the food looked different. I thought that I could have been a change in formula, but it wasn't. My cat been on same food for at least 10 years and had no problem eating it. When I gave her this she would not touch it and I noticed that someone have mixed the original food from the bad with something else. I went back to the store to return it and they would not take it back and told me I have to contact the company. So here I am. I am asking for at least a new bag of food since I couldn't exchange it or even get my money back.

I have been feeding Purina Show rabbit pellets for well over 3 years and have an issue with large amounts of powder “fines” in my feed. I have talked to the local Purina rep but still continue to have this issue. I am having to sift my feed every evening when I feed and I go thru approx a ton of feed a month from y’all. I am getting anywhere from 1 1/2 pounds to 3 3/4 pounds of fines out of every 50 pound bag. If I don’t sift this feed it plugs up my feeders and the rabbits have respiratory issues. I really wish someone would look into this issue before I am forced to switch brands. I honestly can’t believe I’ve stuck it out for this long.

I have been given the run around for over a year on why every store quit stocking this canned product . I've read it was melomine in the food killing dogs . Something must be wrong with it since no stores no longer stock it . Just give me the answer and I'll swith from Purina to another company . It's not the pandemic so why do stores refuse to stock it . Has to be a reason .

I purchased several boxes of the above cat food. On opening a box I took out 1 sachet only to find that it was swollen. I did not open it as I thought it may be contaminated. The batch information is as follows: 04 2024 05/035/8000/ABP/OFF [protected] 22.02.ONE F01H

Normally I would not have done anything about it and thrown it away but as this product is extremely expensive, I am currently purchasing 12 sachets at a cost of £5, I cannot afford this to be an ongoing problem.I

Can you please investigate this for me as I do not want to change to a different cat food as my cats really enjoy it. Thank you in advance for your help
