quality guarantee/refund policy
My vet prescribed Purina Feline UR ox/st wet food for my cat. He had been using it for almost a year. My last purchase had a new label but the food formula has not changed. My cat wouldn't eat the new food. I called the 800 number listed on the can and they told me about the Purina Quality Guarantee program which would refund me for the case. I wrote a letter to Purina on May 11, 2016 about the situation and I included my receipt for $44.64. They sent me a letter saying they received my letter and a refund would be processed and mailed soon. It is now July 6th, 2016 and I have yet to receive my refund. I have called 3 times, each time I am assured my refund check is in the system and will be mailed in two weeks. Yesterday I received another letter from Purina saying they valued my comments and included two $5 off coupons for Purina ProPlan dry food from my Veterinarian. Each time I have called I'm told that the clearing house that takes care of refund checks is new and they take longer than the old company Purina used. PLEASE!
Canned kitten food
I have been to the Petco on many occasions to purchase Fancy Feast canned kitten food and they are either out of it or very low. I try to save a trip by buying 2 cases at a time. My kitten can only eat canned. It is frustrating walking out with nothing. When I asked I was told they are only shipped out so much. I shop at the Livonia store and feel they need more shipped to them.
bad cat food
I have been purchasing Purina One Smartblend & Indoor Formula for years for my 9 cats. These last 2 large bags (22lbs. bags) have big pieces of food they can't eat. Obviously the machines were not working properly for this to occur because I've never had this happen before. I'm very disappointed in this product now & may have to go to Iam's or something else for my cats . This food cost $ 30.00 a bag & I can't afford food my cats can't eat. What happened to your quality ? I also can't put my name at the top of this for some reason so I will down here...Jeralyn Glowacki
poisoned my cat to death
My cat has been eating and only eating Purina cat chow.For the past week and a half she had been throwing up, she ate too much and was a rescue so was nervous by nature.she has thrown up before so it wasnt too concerning at first.Late last night she starting acting strange, and meowing alot. This worried me enough that I called the vet as soon as they opened, explained all of her prior behavior and her struggle at that point to breathe.Immediately left for vet clinic which is five minutes from house.To our sadness and shock died as we walked in the door.The be looks her over and came to the now obvious conclusion that she died from her food.she was poisoned. There are several reasons why the vet came to this conclusion, our beloved cat was an indoor cat only, only ate Purina cat chow not even treats, her assessable areas were safe .we had her for numerous years. She was healthy and had no medical problems. The vet said numerous animals die from contaminated pet food. After many hours of searches and phone calls(our daughter works for the state house)we have found hundreds if not thousands of people complaining that this Purina pet food had killed their pets .there are complaints about salmonella, rat poisoning, maggots, insects etc...in their food products. We called Purina and they denied wrong doing until I told them that the bag of food, the vomit and feces were sent off to testing.we are also paying another dreaded 367 for an autopsy to be done on her to rule out everything else because we will sue them and bring attention to the thousands of animals their food kills and the families.they leave devastated. We are beside ouraelves knowing that Purina had these very same complaints in 2007, with thousands of reports of pets dying and not one freaking thing was done. How corrupt! We will fight this all the way to the supreme court if we have to .we live in America where you should trust that the food you are buying for your pet is safe.

bugs in food
i purchased fancy feast cat dry food fillet Mignon n tuna flavor from stop n shop in east Islip NY 11730.when i opened The bag n fed my cat i noticed tiNY bugs in the bowl.i checked the bucket i poured food in and there was bugs.i buy this cat food always and never had a problem please look into this matter.

I have been finding the same thing in the Chicken & Turky FF dry food. I even place the bowl in a big container of water, and I noticed that the bugs were in the food bowl. When I pour out the food I don't see anything, I will get rid of this. FF really needs to look into this.
I had the same thing happen.only it was with a wet food-Fancy Feast Classic Chicken. It was full of little bugs. I also have used Fancy Feast for a long time, but I won't anymore. I purchased mine in Bremerton Washington.

For some time now I have been buying the 32 pack of friskies cat food.( purple package)
Almost every second can of chicken dinner " meaty bits " is BAD !
I'm sick and tired of wasting my hard earned money on a bad product. Don't these people have any quality control.? ?
If any of my cats get sick I WILL be filing a lawsuit. I hope others will to.

One of my cats vomited after eating (not uncommon for cats) Fancy Feast Gourmet Gold dry cat food, and now my light carpet has a permanent pink stain. Yes, my cats like the taste, but color is definitely meaningless to them. The food dye (check the ingredients list) is added for us humans--not our cats.
