So I inquired as to what...

I purchased a 2000 5.3 motor from quality auto salvage. They told me the motor had 78000 k miles on it.
When I receive the motor I called the number on tag from where motor came from Pennsylvania. Inquired about the motor they pulled up info. On it
That motor 2000 5.3 they sold to quality auto salvage to sell to me had 148000 k miles on it.
Quality auto salvage blatantly lied to me.
That's what peed me off

Sold broken car parts
I ordered a steering gear box for my nissan from this company. My order was taken over the phone and I was reassured it was an inspected and working part.
I finally received my parts via courier, 4 days past the delivery date in a box that looked like it was kick here from the scrap yard they supply parts from.
I had the gear box installed and upon a wheel alignment the service tech informed me the alignment was good but the problem was a worn out gearbox. I argued with him about it because I was told it was inspected but he took me to the back and physically showed me the excessive lateral movement in the pitman arm.
I proceeded to phone quality autos customer service and was met with hostility about reporting a broken part to them and the blatant lie that they "inspect" my parts prior to shipping.
I forwarded a copy of the mechanics notes to prove I had a professional tell me the part was shot. They stated they could send me another 1 but the picture I received showed a gear box in worse shape than the initial box was. I informed them I will be returning it for a refund. I was told I will be charged a "restocking" fee for the broken part. I commented that the part was defective and not suitable for any vehicle on the road but was informed they will do another"inspection" and restock it.
I have photos of the way it arrived, how it looked and 1 of the replacement they offered. Seems I can't attach them for some reason. I will gladly email them if I can have an email I can attach them too.
Desired outcome: Full refund
Ordered two car doors
August 2015 order two car doors Sent pictures of doors, looked in very good condition, salesman said they were in great condition. Paid $4000.00 for the doors, shipping, Canadian exchange, etc. Doors arrived at the body shop they were not useable and they could not fix them. Called salesman he would not speak to me or return my calls. I was told to return them at my expense, I did not body shop junked them. Then I requested a refund, we settled on $600.00 signed a paper and faxed it to them in October 2015 to date I am still waiting for the refund. They emailed and said the cheque was mailed. Followed up again because no cheque came. I was emailed hey would credit my visa, now they are unable to do that because my card expired in Aug and I have a new card. Now we are back to waiting for for the cheque in the mail. If you are truly going to do something about this issue I can provide all the pictures, documents and string of emails. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Ronald Haab - ronaldhaab @shaw.ca - fort mcmurray, ab canada
Ordered a 1992 suzuki sidekick engine and received a junkyard 1989 engine that was broken
We bought the engine on Sept.. 17 2015. The order # 234752 I ordered a 1992 Suzuki Sidekick engine. It was suppose to be a remand engine, we paid 1, 450.00 for it. When we received it, we were shocked. The engine was a junk yard engine that look like it was drug across the ground . It was rusted, bent and broken parts, rocks embedded in all the cracks, It was frozen and would not turn. It looked like hell! I called Quality auto parts immediately, and asked them if someone made a mistake and sent us the wrong order. I told them this engine is not the one we ordered, we ordered a 1992 remand engine and this is a 1989 junk yard engine. She said it was the right engine at first, then after a very long argument, she said that the 1989 will fit our vehicle. I told her we paid extra for this engine, if I wanted a junkyard engine I could have bought on for half the price . She told us sorry but you got what you ordered and it will fit your vehicle. Kept calling, and they finally told me they would discount the item 50.00. I told her no way. Then they said 150.00. I told her to take this back and send what I ordered, or return my Money. She said if we return the engine they will refund part of our money. I said part of our money? She said yes. Didn't you read the disclosure. I said what disclosure, I ordered this over the phone. She said we will not be re reimbursed for the shipping or restocking fee. I was so mad, I cant say what I told her. I was sent the wrong engine and the machine shop we had look at it said it was very worn out, it had a cracked head and a worn out bottom end. I told them I would not pay to send this back, I did not order it. The cost to send it back would cost to much. She said, that's all they will do. I tried to have my credit card company dispute it, but they told us unless we sent it back they couldn't do a thing . We are stuck with this broken engine. I wish I would have read these reviews before we ordered this . I cannot send copy's of pictures or Invoices, I have them, but will need to send the buy fax or mail.
Horrible services, the worst attitude, bubble scheme
I ordered cylinder head for Ford Focus from the company Quality Auto Parts Chicago. I paid for the order via their website and it cost about $400. After that the seller didn’t provide the confirmation email or receipt. I started to call them every day, and they lied me each time. They found different excuses and explanations. I sick of their attitude. I need money back, but these scammers avoid me. Maybe someone has any ideas how to return money back, please contact me then or leave a comment. Thanks.
what is a bubble scheme?
Charged extra then quoted
Ordered headlight for mercedes benz original price was $180. 00 was phoned next day for an additional $54. 00 for shipping and brokerage fees. Went i got parts it cost me another $27. 00 for frieght charge from greyhound. Found out part came from b. C. So there was no brokerage fees at all. Phoned quality auto parts but just got the run around. Said they would check into it but never got back to me.
Wrong Part NOT what I order
To bad I did not search info about this company before I order. It's HORRIBLE. I order a Front Differential HOUSING and they send me the Differential Gear instead. And not only that they tell you they have it on the big Warehouse and its not true. The parts I receive came from JC Auto Parts in Monroe City, MO. When I call them they told me that Quality Order those parts from them... so they just search like crazy for your parts and resell them to you... SCAM, SCAM, Now im waiting to hear from them about my refund. OH but first they want a picture of what I received. Lord Help Me. I order the parts for a Client of mine now Im stuck with NO EXTRA CASH to order from the dealer... SAD SAD... Must of the CSR are Indians and well trained but people please read read and dont order from them...

Service
This company is unbelievably awful. They screwed up my order in every imaginably way, then their staff calls me at work, again and again, supposedly to "resolve" the problem. Nearly three months have passed and nothing has been resolved. It is an insane time suck.
Summary to date:
1. On 7/9/12, I ordered an auto side mirror from Quality Auto Parts with electrical connections for "folding option." I was extremely clear in what I needed.
2. On or about 7/12/12, I had several phone conversations with personnel at Quality Auto Parts. I was very clear about the exact options that I needed.
3. On or about 7/13/12, Quality Auto Parts called me and told me that they could not ship the part via expedited shipping as promised. They credited $45 to my account (the amount for expedited shipping).
4. After the part arrived in late-July, I had it installed at a local shop. It did not work. In early August, I went back to the shop and they torn apart the door of my car to troubleshoot. They found that the part sent by Quality Auto Parts did not have the necessary electrical connectors.
5. At about this time, I received a customer service email from Quality Auto Parts. I explained the problem. I received several follow-up calls, but I did not receive a replacement part.
6. On September 12, I received an email from Quality Auto Parts claiming that they had sent a replacement part. I never received it, so in exasperation I filed a dispute with my bank. Then Quality Auto Parts calls me several times and reveals that they sent the part to the shop. (This information was not in the tracking emails that they sent, nor was it available on the web site for the shipping company.)
7. On Saturday, September 22, I spend the morning at my auto shop. The replacement part from Quality Auto Parts has no electrical connections whatsoever. I photograph everything and send photos to Quality Auto Parts by email. I then return the replacement part, using a UPS label that Quality Auto Parts sent me, following the written instructions provided by Quality Auto Parts.
8. On Monday, September 24, 2012, Quality Auto Parts calls me several times at work and emails me repeatedly. Now they say that I sent the replacement part to the wrong address. Apparently, I should not have used their UPS label or followed their written instructions. And, of course, they blame me for the “miscommunication.”
9. So now, 2 ½ months after my ”expedited” order, I have wasted hours upon hours on the phone, writing emails and going to the shop because of Quality Auto Parts. Of course, I have also had to pay my auto shop, as well.

Can't be trusted
Sold me the wrong part after assuring me that it was an exact OEM part for my model. Also promised to pay for shipping return and give full refund if there was any problem. Then tried to convince me that the part was interchangeable even though it was for a different model. I had to get my credit card company involved before they would admit that they had sent the wrong part. They can not be taken at their word and will give you the run-around after you find that you have been duped.

broken part
I ordered a distributor from qualityautoparts.com.I have just recieved my part and it looks like its been left outside for at least two years. It is rusted and looks twice as bad as the one Im replaceing. They said they had checked the part out and im wondering how they did that since it came from a salvage yard in another state.Im out 180 dollars not to mention my car still doesnt run.Do not do business with these people.there is only one thing worse than getting a bad part, they lied about it.
You want shopping experience "nigerian style"?
These guys will do!

DNT BUY ANYTHING
I bought a engine from quality auto parts for 2005 Honda.
Paid $1400.00 thinking they will get me a good engine.
After 17 days i got the engine.
Opened the box and see a engine which is rusted out.
My car is a 2005 model cant believe there was so much rust on it.
My repair man checked the engine and told my old engine was in a better shape.
I called quality auto parts Customer Service and spoke to a INDIAN manager rajesh.
He doesn't know a word of English and he is a manager.
Still I wanted my money refunded so spoke to him and he says his hands are tied he cannot do anything apart from replacing the engine. I said no. And hung up.
Later went on a vacation for 2 weeks and called the same Indian manager Rajesh for refund, he doesn't remember anything.
After 30 mins of conversation he tells their warranty policy is 30 days and now he cannot even refund or replace.
Also they have good agents who are good at pushing the price higher and higher
So ordering from them I lost $1400.00 for a junk engine.
***** PLEASE DON'T ORDER ANYTHING FROM QUALITY AUTO PARTS *****

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE - SCAM SCAM SCAM This is the worst company in the world to do business with. I ordered a complete electronic brake unit that contains (holds) the master cylinder for my 1990 Caddy DeVille. They charged me $275.00. When the part was delivered to my mechanic, it turns out that it was a beat up master cyclinder that could have been bought...

I really wished I had searched this company before buying anything from them. Would have saved myself not only my money but time & headaches in the process. My story is below:
About 6 weeks ago I did a online search for a 1997 Oldsmobile Bravada Front Grill not really expecting much as this is a hard to find part. Within minutes I received a couple of emails from different auto suppliers & Quality Auto Parts went as far as calling me at home. When I returned their call I was met with surprise as they said they not only had my part in stock but when I told them the color I was looking for the guy said they have it in my color as well!
I thought this is too good to be true (it was) & figured since I have been searching for this part for some time it was a blessing to not only find the right part but the right color. I ordered the part & w/ shipping it was $154, probably took about a week to get here. When I opened the box, guess what? Wrong part. They sent me a grill for a 98 not a 97 & their is a HUGE difference between the two.
Already upset I called the company's customer service dept. & was told I could ship back the part for a full refund but would not be reimbursed for the return shipping. Spoke w/ both supervisors Jessica & Marissa & both had nothing else to say but ''Sorry sir, but thats the policy.' I went ahead & sent back the part anyway, figuring I will settle this with them later, but when I received a email confirmation of my refund they kept the original shipping.
So now I am out about $50 for a part that I did not even order in the first place. What gets me the most is I could never do something like this as a seller on ebay or even in my own work place. I understand things happen but Quality Auto Parts should have owned up to their mistake & refunded me my original shipping expenses along with the return shipping. I don't care about their warranty or their policy, one thing I have learned is that there is always an exception to every rule!

This company is to be avoided. They sold me a specific body part for a 1992 model car and promised me over the phone that it was the exact OEM part and that if anything proved to be incorrect, that they would pay for return shipping and issue a full refund. Not only did they send the wrong part -- for a 1998 model, not 1992 as was specified, but they tried to tell me the parts were interchangeable and argued with me that the part was actually wrong. Then after I got my credit card company involved they agreed that the part was wrong but refused to pay for return shipping as had been promised. Do not do business with them as their word can not be trusted and they will give you the run-around when you find out you have been misled.
Terrible experience
Our company ordered a rear view mirror for an 02 Jaguar X-Type. Quality Auto Parts sent me one for an S-Type. It seemed a simple error, but when I contacted them about it, their customer service told me that credit could not be issued until the part was received by them and that I would have to pay shipping to return it. They then dropped a line suggesting that credit could be denied and would not even guarantee a refund for the cost of shipping it back to them. Their supervisors are conveniently unavailable at another location (Then what are they supervising?) An email sent earlier this week has not been answered.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
The part I purchased was never shipped, but the company gave me the run around for over a month, then gave me a refund and a good luck.
Guys you are absolutely right i am an employee of quality auto parts and trust me its nothing but a huge scam they are thieves and they not only rob the customers but also rob their own employees every single day we are threatened to make sales fool more people the supervisors are the biggest ###s the owners name is jeff he is the biggest scamster who threatens each and every employee he never pays us on time he not only scams the people of America but also scams his own employees and please please please guys sell your car if you dont find a part but dont buy it from quality auto parts they buy parts from junk yards and sell it to you guys there is no quality tests as they promise this is the biggest scam and the american govt should really put locks on this company
Terrible company
This company has high pressure agents who talk good but when you get their products it is defective. I talked to a person in Chicago, IL named Chris (Phone # [protected], EXT 1143) when I ordered an engine and he assured me that the engine was fully tested and ready to be 'just dropped in' to my vehicle. The engine was shipped to the shop and I was informed by the owner that several problems existed, including bolt from the head was missing.
These people will never let you talk to Merissa, whom they claim is the supervisor of customer service. Merissa's telephone number is [protected]. They also have a phone number that is [protected], and another that I know of which is [protected]. Agents at Quality Auto Parts will also try to pressure you to get your credit card information and after they charge your card they will send you an email where you can log on and see a different warranty statement than you are told.
My engine was like it had been dropped off a truck onto the roadway because the oil pan was busted, the water pump was leaking, and head bolt was missing. They are giving me a hard time to either replace the engine or give me a refund. Then they have a belligerent attitude about you must return the engine at your expense before the 30 warranty is up.
TELL EVERYONE NOT TO USE THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE A FULL RIP OFF IN EVEY SENSE OF THE WORD.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I ordered this part for my Truck but no longer need my truck has been fixed without needing the part I never opened it will be returned unopened in the same box they want to charge me 25% of the amount that I paid for the part I don't think this is right I can see if I opened it and put it on the truck that was a lots of money that I paid for it if they need to charge me maybe $25.00 or $30.00 I can under stand that but to charge 25% of the amount for an unopened package.
i ordered a manual window door for my mini pickup. the main thing was that it needed to have a manually operated window. they said they had one for me so i ordered it. when it arrived it was badly dented and there was NO window, and the door was set up for an electric window anyway….so thankfully i had saved the email and notified them that day.
it's a long story, essentially they have twice promised to send credit to my credit card.
anyone out there have similar experience or advice?

Ummmm, I'll Pass...I inquired about a rear end axle for my Suburban online (usedrearaxles.com) and was contacted and quoted a price of $780.00 by a non-English speaking, Indian accent sounding man named Frank (1st give away). I said I'd have to think about it, and was in turn contacted twice more by Frank, advising me to buy as soon as possible, as their parts sell quickly. I again informed him I would think about it. Today, I was contacted by a non-English speaking, Indian accent sounding man named Paul (Oh Hell No!), and was quoted a price of $750.00. I informed him of the same, I'll think about it. I'm hesitant because of the inability of both men to speak proper English, although they are supposedly based out of Chicago. They both were also very pushy about me giving them my credit card information to secure my part. I'm pretty sure this company is a SCAM and would advise any and everyone looking for genuine auto parts to steer clear of this company.

Never order for Quality Auto parts
I just ordered a complete door with glass from Quality auto parts. They seem friendly on the phone and always answered my concerns. This part was ordered on Friday and was told they will ship it by end of day. Havent heard anymore so called them following tuesday and asked about it. Told that the part was wrong one and are looking. Recieved email on following day ( Wednesday ) and told they found correct part. They informed me that the only part that matched my order had a little surface rust. So I said OK and got it reduced 50 bucks. When it came following Wednesday it looked to me perfect in every way. The surface rust I found was just a little blotch under door. As of now fairly satisfied except for the snafu over shipping. I should of gone thru my local salvage yard tho as it could of been slightly cheaper. The shipping charges on this item was same as actual price
i hate this company they take your and don`t refuned for their mistake. clearly ask for a different part and they sale you what they wanted.and the refun is taking for forever.
I agree that this company, quality auto parts, is crap, they only offer a 30 day warranty because they know most parts they sell will likely only last you a couple of months. I purchased a rear diff for a 2004 Suzuki XL7 and it was a piece of crap that I barely drove 1, 000 miles on before it locked up. I called quality auto parts and told them what happened and all they did was over-state the 30 day warranty to me. QAP made no effort to even meet me in the middle with a solution for my wasted money with them. Before you even think about allowing them to slick you into a purchase, email me at shockg357@aol.com, so I can persuade you not to loose money with them like I did. MAKE MY LOSS YOUR GAIN!
