Store closing
At around 8:40 on february 4th I was walking to the rainbow on flatbush and tilden as soon I reached the door they were already closed I knocked the door and the guy working by the door said it’s not me but I said its not 9:00 yet he didnt care and kept doing what he was doing at least that could have been gandled a different way I just thought that was rude.

im an employee and was hired as sales associate in the year 2022, meaning I sort clothes assist costumers and make sure store is neat. January 1st 2023 is when I got into a physical altercation with 3 costumers while on the job. security quit and some employees were told to assist with the door and bag check costumers. I was asked this day around closing to assist at the door and 3 females felt like I looked at them in a rude way and instead of talking like adults they verbally assaulted me in my place of work calling me out my name, threats were made at me like spitting on me and fighting. I repeatedly asked them to leave the store and me alone they started walking away but came back and fought me. I now have a sprained finger and police telling me I was the aggressor as if I wasn't getting beat on by 3 people, im 5’4 and about 100 pounds I should have never been put in a situation like that. I will be quitting and if I can sue rainbow i’ll do that as well.

Customer Service
I was at the store #1726 on 12/23/22. There was only one sales on the floor working. She was the only one on the floor fixing hangers and I must say that store was a complete mess and the rest of the sales were behind the register on their phones doing nothing but laughing and one was hugging her significant other in a work place inappropriately and kissed her. This is insane to me. I felt so bad for her. Will never be going there again. There music was also extremely inappropriate and unprofessional.
Desired outcome: Get some new sales.

10/28/22 1446 had clothes chosen to try on, when I asked associate for dressing room, they stated they didn’t have one, so then I asked if I tried on garments at home and they didn’t fit, wld I b able to return w receipt and tags, they stated “of course”. This wld have been the time for any 3 of the associates around to state, “you must return in 7 days or u only receive store credit.” I returned 4 of 6 items w tags and receipt on 11/9/22, I was told I cld only get store credit due to being over 7 days, this was very disappointing. Then I get home and see if I don’t spend store credit the same day it is invalid, the cashier could have stated that at least! I don’t know how this store is still in business, at least be upfront about policies!

Deceptive pricing. Poor Service
On 11/5/2022 about an hour before closing, my mom and I went into store #546. Found some good finds as usual. The poor service almost always cancels out the variety of products. I have personally shopped with Rainbow Shops for about 14 years. Online and Instore.The unprofessionalism is not a good resprentation for your corporation. The manager scanned an item and proceeded to pull the price off of my item and also my mother's items and refused to honor the price. This is not a new problem, but rather familiar one. Price tags are designed to allow customers to make informed decisions about purchases. This happens more frequently, than not in Rainbow. No one should ever have to negotiate or beg to pay the price that is marked on the tag. "People switching tags" is a reality. Loss prevention, updated systems, and continued training should be considered. I value my money so I like bargains. Poor service and unresolved inefficiencies are not a fair exchange.

Someone hacked in my account and received all my personal information as well as debit and credit cards I was In hospital when this occurred I explained to merchant the situation and advised me to contact bank for refund and my bank advised me they have to process it in order to receive it and rainbow has not replied to any of my emails or complaints I just want refund I'll even take gift card to store if this gets resolved easier

I purchased 8 pairs of school uniform pants for my granddaughter from this store and other items. I went to return/exchange one pair of pants because it did not have any belt loops. I did not have my receipt, but I had the card that I paid for the purchase with. The lady told me she couldn't do anything without a receipt.. BS.. I will never shop at Rainbow...

I went to rainbow store in brooklyn 3310 fulton st brooklyn ny 11208. I called the store on sunday 08/28/2022 first at 6pm and the lady told me that they will close at 8 but after i went it was 6:45 and the door was locked and they told me that they already closed. They refused to let me in and i checked the hours online it says close at 8. I called the store again and first they didn't answer but i called again and she said you don't understand we already closed.
some stores say they close at [in this complaint] at 8. then if they don't have any customers from 5 to 20 min before closing they close early for stock check and cleanup. they are told to say the closing time unless they know when you call that they are closing early. in this case it sounds like right after you called they chose to close early cause no one has come since you called.
i don't know their policy in this regard but its not told to the public when these close early happens.

I understand they need some time to clean and fix the store but not an hour before the scheduled time
ok well the customers inside part is info we didnt have. as for a hour before well sometimes the manager of the store or region do say to close early for many reasons. like i said they might have gotten the word after speaking with you. though in no way am i defending them just sharing possible reasons for this issue based off information i learned in the past.
i do hope this gets cleared up by the company with you. it sounds like their was miscommunication someplace between the store employee, their boss, and giving the information to you.

I wanted to share my shopping experience at this location. It has been several times I came into this location and seen or experienced rude or ignorant behavior from the Managers at this site. I went to this location with my sister because it's located close to my home. We were shopping to get a birthday gift for our younger sister and the clothes are at a reasonable price. My sister was at the register and the young lady told her to skip the email address that was on the payment screen but my sister misunderstood what she said and press the button anyway. At that point my sister explained that the words were too small and she could not see them so, I stepped in to help. The discrepancy came from when I was trying to pay and the young lady asked me, are you paying for her clothes? I said No, then laughed. My sister said to her, I thought you rung up her stuff up because you are just saying a price? The young lady behind the counter asked her, “NOW, why would think that?” (Arrogantly) At this point, I was trying to calm my sister down because of the way the young lady from behind the counter responded with that question?. I said, is there a store manager here? There were two people behind the counter. One was staff the other was the store manager. The staff pointed out that we were speaking with the manager and she was loud, argumentive, and being very disrespectful. I then said to the store manager, "you are the manager and this is how you are showing your staff to interact with customers"? You should never have to argue with staff or store managers when shopping and spending your money. The manager felt entitled to express that, " Old woman is always disrespectful and feel that they can say anything to anyone. That was not the case in this event, also she got on the phone and called a (Joyce). Her words to Joyce were "The lady Keeps saying stuff to me and I am trying to be respectful my [censored].'' At that point, No one was saying anything to the store manager but she was not telling the truth at all. She said everything to this (Joyce)person to make herself look right. This was not the only time have seen or encountered that type of customer service in that location. I am a customer that loves Rainbow clothes. I will continue to shop at other locations but the disrespect to customers at that location needs to stop immediately.
Desired outcome: The Rainbow in that location needs better staffing. The store has nice deals but the staff is very rude, disrespectful and no one should have to encounter that kind of services when you are spending your money
The employee Nadiria
The employee Nadiria called me a fat [censored]ing [censored] who shouldn't be wearing these clothes! She brought her infant to work and when I said to her that it's dangerous to bring her infant to work because you can't keep your eye on your child 100% of the time while helping customers pending you are doing your job that is. I then proceeded to explain to her that it is also a liability on the company God forbid something terrible happened or her infant got into some type of accident and or had an injury of any magnitude she is putting the company at risk! Her response to me was to "mind my [censored]ing business you fat [censored]ing [censored]"! Real nice, clearly class, manors and education are not requirements in order to work at the rainbow shop. The sad thing is that I like wearing the clothing that your company produces. Unfortunately after the experience that I endured, I don't see myself shopping any time in the near or even distant future at the rainbow shop. It would literally take a miracle before that would ever happen! Also, no dressing rooms is just outright wrong! I was told if I want to try something on that my fat [censored] can do it right where I'm standing! That I am not allowed to utilize the dressing room at all! Mind you there are children and adult men walking around and the associate Nadiria said oh well.
Desired outcome: I feel that the appropriate response would be that horrible woman Nadiria from the Kingston Plaza Rainbow Shop be fired immediately!!! The dressing rooms need to be reopened and monitored appropriately!
Poor Treatment/Service/ Discrimination
I love shopping in Rainbows but this was the scariest worse experience I have ever encountered. My daughter was looking for a dress and called me in the store because she felt uncomfortable. She pointed out a few employees and lady that was SNATCHING clothes near her. I noticed they where hanging close by so I video recorded /took pictures of them and the bystander sharking around her. I have money and come from a well educated family. I truly feel like we were treated like that due to our skin color.

On July 1, 2022 at store #00494 at 6pm. (833 Ralph Abernathy Blvd.) Inside Westend Mall. Upon checking out the sale clerk/cashier seemed impatient with customers, she was noticbly frowning her face at customers another customers standing behind me in line notice and asked me if I see how her attitude were with customers. I replied back to the lady behind me and told her that I notice the rudeness she was displaying as if she didn't want to work today. Also seeing that she were a much older person I expected for her to behave in such a better manner. This made me very uncomfortable as I was the next person to check out she ask how I was paying very loudly, which was quite embarrassing. to avoid confrontation with her
I just showed her my bank card, she then frown her face and loudly shouted again " debit or cash" without firstly asking me in a much more professional way how will you pay? (Sigh)She was very rude and unprofessional I asked her name she ignored me which cause me to ask other store associates and was told that she was the store manager operator; 4487cs. Maybe she was having a bad day, however, I was having a good day, I had just got off of work and it was my payday and drove across town tired but I was ready to spend my hard earn money. But most importantly I definitely didn't plan to spend my money at my favorite store being unhappy with the service, it was very unprofessional. I specifically TRAVEL far just to shop at this location all the time and I get many Rainbow notifications at least 2 times a week. I spend a lot of money and travel very far to be treated in such manner. I just hope nobody has to experience or get the same treatment as I did. This is very disappointing to me because I'm spending a lot of money and referring family, friends about the good sales and notifications I get frequently. I really love this location I would hate to stop shopping at this location.(sigh of unhappiness)

I purchased some items from this store through Klarna. I returned 3 of them to a physical store and got a store credit as the clerk stated she didn't know how to do the Klarna thing. So later, I found out that I either needed to get those items back or get my money so I could pay Klarna. I went to a store in the Oglethorpe Mall in Savannah Ga and the clerk said she could not give me the items or my money back. She told me I could wait for her manager to come from Jacksonville in the next four days to discuss this. I told her I lived way out and didnt have this time to be driving all over the place to wait for her manager. I told her I wanted my items or money back and to get her manager on the phone. She called security instead to the store to escort me out. I told her I would call the police on her because they were thieves holding onto/stealing people's money with this stupid store credit thing. She told the security guard some lies and I told the security guard I will file a lawsuit against this store, especially for her just calling security when they are the ones who had and still have my money. I was able to locate 2 of the items I brought there to mail back to Klarna. The store clerk and manager are two stupid people who are on the verge of getting that chain sued for their foolish actions trying to steal people's money. If you read this, please stay away from this store. I hope they shut them all down.

Brought two items from store and couldn’t find receipt when returning it on 6-21-22. Rainbow in imperial plaza on Araningo Ave in Philadelphia They refused and said I have to buy the exact same item in a different size. When asked do they still have it. They said no. And I’m just stuck with the item. This is an inconvenience cause I was looking forward to buy something else in the store with the credit/money that was given

My two daughters and I visited the Rainbow store located in Grandview,MO, the Truman Corners strip mall today...06/11/2022.
The most unpleasant experience! Customer service skills amongst this staff is NON EXISTENT! From the manager to the sales associates, everyone was so rude. I inquired through one associate about their return policy. She mumbled a bunch of words, never looked up from playing with the clothes racks, and I still don't know what the policy is. I let that go, and went on to ask the manager about dressing rooms. Before I could get out the entire question, she rudely and abruptly said, "NO THEY ARE NOT OPEN"! I won't be visiting this store EVER AGAIN.! Nobody wants to be treated badly, where they are spending their hard earned money! I would recommend an overhaul on staff, before they run off all the customers!

I ordered on 4/18/2022. I’m living Hawaii. But I haven’t still received my order even though they’re taking 1 month and 3 weeks now. I sent email 2 times. But they said your order is still transit. The rainbow store in Griffith, Indiana I attended on June 4, 2022 where their was a rather rude African American women employee with a blonde wig who assume that my mother and I were about to steal shoes. Mine you I go to this Rainbow store all the time and never have stolen anything in my life. I never had the desire too. Funny thing was I just in the same store yesterday buying clothes for my niece who graduates Sunday the same niece that we were looking for shoes for when this employee assume we were about to steal shoes. I will not in fact shop here anymore if my on race assume just cause your looking at something that you are going to steal something. I have never had any problems when I come to this store until today. The employee never once ask if we needed any help she just saw us looking at the shoes and assume we were about to steal them. Now even after the assumption my mother still bought the shoes.
