Poor customer service
I hired this ReMax company to serve as the property management company for 4 rental duplexes I own in the Cleveland area. When I first engaged their services, ReMax took my phone calls, answered my questions and provided helpful guidance on matters related to my rental properties. In the last year, ReMax has switched to an email-only form of communication...

I have ebeen renting from remax for 5 months of a 1 year lease.i have a 6yo in my home and only rented this property due to the " finished basement " this house has no central air so I planned to use the basement as living/play room for my son to beat the heat of the summer. Ii noticed 4 months ago there is an serious mold issue in the basement that makes it unusable. There is also a severe and I mean severe ant problem. I explained this to multiple people in email and chat . I have sent pics..nothing. the chat told.me to take it up with my renters insurance..now this company had 30days to address the mold issue. It's been months see you.guys in court.
Desired outcome: All my rent back including 300$ dog deposit and 60 days to move

I rented a house in Parma from them from 2 to 2
I rented a house in Parma from them from 2 to 2. The prior tenants were not given security deposit for numerous reasons, but one for cleaning. We received this house unclean and horrible. We rented for a year, paid all rent on time and had good relations (business and personal) with some of the neighbors. When the lease was up, I totall cleaned the house and left it in re-rentable conditions. Unlike what was given to us. So they charge me for repairs to walls that were never done. They even used my pictures to list the house for sale.. Story short, they charged the previous people for things that were not done, and now charging me for things not true or even done. Scammers!

On 2/23, I viewed a property I was interesting in renting that was managed by Remax
On 2/23, I viewed a property I was interesting in renting that was managed by Remax. I applied for this property the following day. On the application, I disclosed that my source of income was workers compensation and filled out the employment section of the application accordingly. I listed my case manager as my supervisor with contact information along with my income. On 2/25, I received a phone call stating I had been approved for the property based on the information I provided. I accepted their offer and received an email requesting earnings history, my drivers license and a move-in date. I supplied all this information. Shortly afterwards, I received a phone call from *** at Remax stating that they would not honor their approval unless I was able to have my income certified for the duration of the lease period, in this case for one year. I informed Remax that workers compensation was my source of income before I filled out the rental application and on the application itself. If they were going to require this, they should have done so before the application was filed and should not have approved me for the property prior to requesting this. If I had been aware of this ridiculous requirement, I would have chosen to apply elsewhere.

There was an amount removed from my checking account via *** in the amount of 635.00
There was an amount removed from my checking account via *** in the amount of 635.00. I contacted *** to see why this would have been. They stated that the amount was set up as a future payment for that date. I let them know that I had no recollection of doing so. I also let them know that I had no record on my current account of doing so, and if I did set this transaction up, it was truly in error. The amount of the transaction indicates this. That was the past amount that I'd paid for rent. Despite this, *** refuses to refund the amount! Errors do occur with both parties at times. My rent is paid up, that amount is not the valid amount. It all screams error, so I'm not sure why they would not be able to refund it, they have no right to it. As a result I have disputed charges with my bank. *** has informed me that I will be penalized by incurring a 30.00 NSF charge. As well as not being able to pay my rent for 3 billing cycles and, I will have to manually deliver my rent to their offices for three months as well as incur a 10.00 processing fee, for having submitted my rent manually. This is very unbending, down right bullyish ! As a result, my funds are currently locked up and cannot be utilized until this is all resolved. I am very frustrated that this is how tenants are being treated. I have been at this property for 9 years prior to *** taking over as the mangers.

Good morning thank you for your attention to this matter
Good morning thank you for your attention to this matter. I have been a renter at 4:03 *** for the past 2 years with *** realtor in Bedford Ohio. Based on my observation I have been in good standing there has not been any complaints from my neighbors of loud noise and there has not been any issues with law enforcement as well. When I moved in I informed *** that I was interested in mouth to month because I have planned to relocate to another state to be close to family. I have been renting month to month for the past year to help with my transition. I submitted a 30 day notice to *** that I will be leaving the property at the end of January However due to my employment I had to remain in Cleveland until February to 5th to collect my final paycheck. I informed *** that I needed to stay a additional 2 weeks. *** informed me that I was responsible to pay the entire month of February. I have paid rent for the entire month of February . Due to the coronavirus *** is no open daily. *** is only open on Mondays, Wednesday and Friday that has made things difficult for their residents. I had arranged for my neighbor to return my key. *** ask if I trust my neighbor to return my key and I said 'yes. A key was given to my neighbor who resides next door and is also a renter with *** in Bedford Ohio. I received a email from *** on Thursday of last week stating that y key has not been returned and that my neighbor had the coronavirus. *** who is also the assistant manager said that I will be charged for a rekey. I responded back to the email stating that I have until the end of the month and that a key will be provided for my unit by the end of February , since I am paid until the end of February . Bass on follow up email *** is still planning to charge me/deduct a rekey from my deposit. At this time I am still paid up to the end of this month I have also continue my rental insurance until the end of February as well. I spoke with my neighbor she indicated that she does not have coronavirus but did quarantine herself until her test results come back and will return the key to ***.
