Very bad service - I would give them no star
I recently had issues with water seepage in my basement and decided to enlist the help of Regional Foundation. Billy from their team conducted an inspection and advised a solution which, according to him, was "guaranteed" to address the problem. Trusting his expertise, I agreed to their suggested approach, which involved placing a drainage pipe around my crawl space at a cost of $3,400.
To my disappointment, despite the considerable expense, the water issue was not resolved. The solution provided by Regional Foundation did not live up to the promises made. When I reached out to them to address the unresolved issue, they proposed another solution costing an additional $10,000.
My trust in Regional Foundation has eroded, and their guarantees have proven hollow. I've requested a refund, considering their solution came with a guarantee, yet I've received no response from their end.
I'm now seeking advice on how to recover my money. Based on my experience, I feel that Regional Foundation lacks the expertise they claim to have and is more interested in charging clients rather than genuinely resolving their issues. I would advise caution to anyone considering their services
Recommendation: Never use this company.

On March 10, 2022, I signed a contract with Regional to do some work
On March 10, 2022, I signed a contract with Regional to do some work. The work was supposed to happen on May 31st, 2022. But guess what? On that day, they called me up and said they didn't get some fancy engineering report, so they couldn't start the project. They promised to keep me in the loop, but they totally dropped the ball. I had to call them on June 8th and then again on June 13th to get any sort of update. They said they'd call me back, but surprise, surprise, they never did. Now I'm fed up and want to cancel the whole thing. I want my $2000 deposit back, pronto.
On Wednesday, January 27th, Regional Foundation sent a guy to check out our foundation
On Wednesday, January 27th, Regional Foundation sent a guy to check out our foundation. He said we gotta pay $650.00 for an engineer to come out before they can give us a quote. So, we paid up and the engineer showed up on February 8th. The guy said I'd get the engineer report by February 19th. But guess what? No communication at all. I had to bug 'em on the 23rd and 25th, and they only responded when I threatened to report 'em to the ComplaintsBoard.com. Finally, on March 4th, they sent a report from the engineer, but it didn't have the right info for any work to be done. I asked another construction company to check if the report was good, and they said it was wrong. I've tried contacting Regional multiple times, but they haven't said anything about the report, and they still won't give me a quote for the work.
I didn't get any papers about the sale, just an email with a receipt for the deposit
I didn't get any papers about the sale, just an email with a receipt for the deposit. I don't have an account number, but it's under my name and my husband paid. We paid $370 for a dehumidifier that was supposed to be better than what we have now. I didn't agree to any changes or extra stuff for the installation. The person who was supposed to install it didn't show up and the company didn't call to reschedule. I called and rescheduled myself. When they finally installed it, they said they needed to modify the crawl space or add more stuff, which we didn't agree to. They didn't guarantee any work. I couldn't cancel or get a refund because no one answered the phone or called back. The office people just told me to talk to the salesperson. I left a voicemail, but nothing happened. They didn't do the installation.

On 3/12, I signed a contract with Regional Foundation & Crawl Space Repair to encapsulate my home's crawlspace
On 3/12, I signed a contract with Regional Foundation & Crawl Space Repair to encapsulate my home's crawlspace. The team members showed up on 05/03 to start their work. On 05/06, the foreman let me know that they had finished and asked me to sign the final documents. I told the foreman that I wanted to inspect the job first to make sure everything was done. When I saw that some things were still incomplete, I contacted Regional to address the issues. I had to have them come to my house a few more times, but they resolved all but two of my complaints. Mr. ***, the salesman from Regional, showed me brochures with pictures of each item that was supposed to be installed. However, he either misled me or didn't accurately represent the type of drainage pipe that would be used. I later found out that the pipe Mr. sold me was different from the one that was actually installed. I've tried reaching out to Regional staff about my complaints, but they haven't responded.
The agreement was signed and the deposit was paid on 9/20
The agreement was signed and the deposit was paid on 9/20. Because of wood rot, 9 joists at 14’9” and 7 joists at 7’ were supposed to be replaced. Additionally, 114’ of subfloor, rimband at 14’, and a girder at 12' were also to be replaced. They said they would include a permit and engineering study for $1,125.00. They started working on the Monday after Thanksgiving 2021. They didn't get a permit or provide a study until 4 months after the work was done. The owner of this company came by after I complained about a hump in the floor and rotten wood that was covered up by his workers. I've tried calling and messaging them countless times, but they haven't responded. A city inspector looked at their work and said nothing they did was up to code. I had to hire another contractor to fix everything properly. The owner sent his expert carpenter to look at the job and he said the problem with the hump in the floor was because of the installers of my new flooring, and that Regional's work was okay. When I asked about the rotten wood being covered up by his workers, he just said he had no excuse. I have pictures, videos, and statements from other contractors and the city inspector if you need them.
I gotta say, I'm pretty bummed out by Regional Waterproofing (crawlspace repair)
I gotta say, I'm pretty bummed out by Regional Waterproofing (crawlspace repair). I never really write reviews about companies, but this time I just had to let it out. So, I met with this guy named ***, their design representative, and we signed a contract. The plan was for them to start working on my project on July 5, 2022. A week before the start date, I called 'em up to double-check, and guess what? *** was no longer with the company. But hey, they assured me that they'd still start the project on time, and this new guy named *** would be my Regional representative.
Now, on the morning of July 5th, I had a pretty packed schedule, so I called up *** to make sure everything was on track. He told me that some workers would be showing up between 9:30 and 10 am. So, I waited patiently for them, and lo and behold, they actually arrived. I showed 'em where the crawlspace entrance was and left 'em to do their thing. But you know what? They did absolutely nothing. I mean, zero, zilch, nada. No work was done at all. Can you believe it?
Later that week, Regional had the audacity to tell me that they were canceling our contract. And get this, they only returned $4971.74 out of the $8994.53 deposit that I had already paid when I signed the contract. Does that sound fair to you? 'Cause it sure doesn't to me. I mean, they promised to do the project, I paid 'em a deposit, and now they cancel and only give me back half of what I paid? That's just not right, man. It's downright unfair.
I found out that the lining they use makes my crawlspace and whole house smell like cat pee
I found out that the lining they use makes my crawlspace and whole house smell like cat pee. I've left voicemails and emails expressing my concerns, but the company doesn't seem to care about their low-quality cat pee product. Another company confirmed that it's the liner and glue Regional uses, and they still continue to use it despite knowing the issue. Unfortunately, customers only realize the problem after the work is done and the smell starts seeping into their homes. Regional already got their money and took advantage of me by using cheap and faulty products.
The dehumidifier they installed has been leaking since day one, and even though they sent someone to "fix it," it's still leaking. I have photos and a video showing the water in my crawlspace and the ongoing leakage. This company is terrible and uses cheap products, and once they receive payment, they disappear. I've talked to at least four different people there, but they all just give me the runaround and refuse to take any action. I've requested them to remove their products from my crawlspace so a reputable company can do the job properly, but they won't even respond to me.
Since the installation in December , my electric bill has more than doubled due to their products. It cost me nearly $15k to install, and contrary to their promises, it's not saving me money; it's actually costing me much more. Additionally, it took them a frustrating six months to send someone out here in the first place! I can't attach the video, but I can provide it if needed.
I contacted this company in February 2022 to get an estimate on a project to lift and level my floors in the kitchen and dining room
I contacted this company in February 2022 to get an estimate on a project to lift and level my floors in the kitchen and dining room. The salesman came out, looked at the areas of sagging floors in my kitchen and dining room from both inside the house and underneath. He suggested that we use a jack to correct the problem with the kitchen floor and to jack up the dining room floor and install sister joists. Total of the project was to be $5415.19. I paid an $1100.00 deposit on 2/18/202 and work was scheduled for 4/28. Part of the work began on 4/28/2022 (about an hour of work). On 5/3 the crew returned and worked for about an hour and came to the door expecting payment. The crew leader was shown the interior floors which had not improved at all. No payment was made due to the completely ineffective work that was done. To seek resolution, I tried to reach the salesman, but he was completely unresponsive. After 1 week, I finally got a call from Customer service to ask about my experience. I expressed my concerns to the lady and she promised to get it resolved. The salesman finally did call back (only after my conversation with customer service). He came back to my house and looked at everything. He agreed that the issues were not satisfactorily resolved and stated that he had, unfortunately, had similar complaints recently about their work crews. Remediation work was scheduled for crew to come back. A few days later a fellow came back and beat and banged around under the house for 1 hour. He came inside afterward and looked at the floors. He acknowledged that the problem wasn't fixed and even said "I think they had me install the sister joist in the wrong place." He shrugged his shoulders and left. Once again, the salesman has become unresponsive, even after a coworker of his reminded him that I had concerns and needed to be contacted. My next step will be to contact the county inspector and show him that the permit has not been satisfactorily completed.
Me and my husband had a problem with the back door stickin when tryin to open or close it
Me and my husband had a problem with the back door stickin when tryin to open or close it. The upstair floors were squeakin in some parts on the 2nd floor. No squeakin on the 1st floor. One bedroom wall had a 6 inch crack at the side of the wall near the door openin. We hired an engineer to evaluate the problem. He evaluated and wrote up a recommendation. After sharin the engineers report with all three company's we contacted. Me and my husband secured Regional Foundation & Crawlspace to do the job @ $23,182.23. They had a third party to come out to take pictures, survey the job and measure where the unevenness of the first floor. They were to install *** supports to support joist system. Regional would install a supplemental support beam. Install clean space encapsulation liner on walls, fasten & chalk. Install a dry *** dehumidifier. We were told we would get an inspector after the job to insure the work was done properly. Afterwards we found the back door opened and shut with ease. Shortly after we had squeaks on the first floor where there had not been a problem before. We call the supervisor *** several times before he would come and advised us to wait 3 months and give the floors time to adjust. We mentioned we did not get our final inspection and he stated he would see to it. He made an appointment with us and then on that day he sent a worker and he did show. I called him he finally showed up later. Made some minor adjustment under the house. We showed *** on the 1st floor where there were 4 places in the house where the wood floors were separating, and the front door was hard too close. We again inquired about final state inspection and he said he would see to it and called the office assistant. The company has failed to fix the problem. In fact is actually worst than when they began. I want the problem completely fixed or a full refund of $23,182. Thank you *** & ***-
I bookd a crawl space project with Regional and paid a deposit
I bookd a crawl space project with Regional and paid a deposit. They canceled the project promising a refund, but have been unresponsive since then. I bookd a crawl space encapsulation to address a moisture and mold issue with Regional and paid a deposit of $1,087.51 on 8/31 after getting estimates from several crawl space vendors. After sharing the competing bids, the salesperson inspected the crawl space and they offered to do the work at the lowest price. After scheduling the project 6 weeks in advance, I was told on the day the work was scheduled to begin (10/16) that the project would need to be canceled because the clearance wasn't high enough for the encapsulation to be completed due to the ducts under the house. They suggested that I hire an HVAC contractor to remove all the ducts, so they can do a more thorough inspection/evaluation. In addition, the project foreman said that the cost would be twice as much even if the ducts were to be removed. Once I was informed that the project was being canceled, the sales manager (***) told me that my deposit would be refunded. The regional rep had seen the crawl space prior to giving me an estimate, so there were no surprises that emerged through the project. At this point, it has been over 2 weeks and no one has returned my call or deposit money. Within a week of the project being canceled, I was able to get another vendor to complete the work (without needing to remove the ducts) at a slightly higher price than Regional's original quote. They finished the work in one day. At this point, I've called several times to get an estimated time frame for the refund, and I have been informed (by the accounting department since the sales managers hasn't returned my call) that the request hasn't even been submitted or processed yet! Basically, the salesperson (who is no longer with the company) underbid to win the business, but overpromised what could be done. When presented with a project that had been underestimated from the beginning, Regional canceled the project instead of honoring the original agreement. Now, they have failed to refund my deposit money in a timely fashion.
I'm writing this letter to complain about the services and customer support I received from Regional Foundation
I'm writing this letter to complain about the services and customer support I received from Regional Foundation. In April, my husband decided to hire Regional after interviewing three companies. We had some problems with our house, including shifted columns on the front porch, a crack in the dining room wall, squeaking floors in the master bathroom, and cracks in the tiling of the master bathroom. Regional assessed the situation and said there were no foundation issues, but a moisture problem that could be solved with encapsulation and a dehumidifier. They were also supposed to reinforce the columns on the front porch to prevent further movement.
The work on the front porch was completed in May , but in November the same year, the symptoms returned, including movement of the porch columns. I contacted Regional multiple times, and eventually, one of their employees and an engineer came back to reassess the situation. However, this time, they told a completely different story. They said that the original solution couldn't address the foundation issues and that they had proposed adding pillars around the entire house for $30,000. They also claimed that they were not engineers and didn't know about the foundation issue noted by the engineer. Their attitude was condescending and dismissive, and they didn't stand behind what they had sold.
They proposed adding seven pillars to the downstairs guest room based on an engineer's report that noted movement in that area. However, earlier, they had said there were no foundation issues. They also mentioned that the spacing of pillars should be every 14 feet according to code, but our home had pillars less than 14 feet apart. We have now hired a structural engineer to assess our property.
Didn't meet contract requirements
Didn't meet contract requirements. Didn't do the work specified before the contract was signed. Didn't fix deficiencies. After numerous contacts, no show. In January , Mr. *** Regional representative arrived to discuss the project. I showed him the cracking walls, separating bead board ceilings, & gave him a copy of the structural engineer's report. He told me his company could fix the crawlspace which would reduce the cracks in the walls & the bead board separation. He stated that his company did not repair the piers, the system they used, a Smart Jacks system, would provide stability to the structure. He explained the process would be to permit the job, dig holes, line them with plastic, fill with gravel, & place concrete blocks on top of the gravel. Supplemental beams would then be placed over the current beams under the house & the jacks would be placed on the concrete blocks & connect to the supplemental beams to support the structure. The cost for this was $18,182-paid in-full. A date was set for work to start 3-6 June . It was difficult to get any documentation, for several months. Finally got a "contract"-no details like above but included the permit. On June 3, no one showed up. I called the company and was told that they had me scheduled for June 4-7, 2019. When they finally showed up, they worked from 9:30 until about 3:30 and left for the day. At the end of the week, they told me that they would come out in 90 days to see if all was well & make any adjustments needed. The company sent an engineer out to inspect the project June 19 and he foudn problems with jack system. Other than that nothing. I contacted my original structural engineer and was told what they did was temporary at best and wasn't right. Company didn't get the permit and didn't do the job correctly. They have no experience in structural support; didn't and WON'T fix it. After 5 months of my trying to contact them, I was told by *** they would be there 5 March to move the jacks. I pressed on what moved meant, I asked if they were going to re-dig the holes, line with plastic & gravel, use the concrete blocks they were supposed to use the first time and didn't, & re-position the jacks. I was told yes. Again, No one showed up. Here are my concerns: 1-Structural Engineer stated the project Regional completed was temporary at best & should not have cost more than $5,000 to $7,000 based on the materials/labor costs. I paid triple, it should've been a permanent solution. Why would I pay over $18,000 for something temporary? 2-Because regional did not permit the project, I may not be able to see my home. I have invested a lot of time (9 years) and money to renovate my home. 3-The Smart Jack System did not correct the cracks in the walls or reduce the separation in the bead board ceilings, it actually made them worse & even caused more separation of the ceilings in other parts of the house. Until this Smart Jack System is either replaced or repaired, I cannot address other issues - the cracked shower pan issue was identified after they did the work & may be the reason the shower pan cracked. 4-During the process, the crew Regional sent out destroyed the vapor barrier currently under the house and dismantled/moved some wooden/block piers that were already present. These beams and blocks were entangled with the vapor barrier which blocked egress under the house. I then had to pay for a 30-ton receptacle & someone to come out and to clean under the house, removing everything, beams, blocks, vapor barrier, and the insulation (which was in tatters). This added another $2,500 to the cost. Plus I had to replace the vapor barrier - another $4200. 5-While I can get another company to address the other issues identified, I cannot find another company to repair the work done by Regional. So, I'm basically having to start all over. 6-Because this was not permitted, I was advised that I may not be able to sell me house, may have to remove the jacks, or could sell the house "as is" like a fixer upper - not acceptable. attached is original contract & their inspection report.
