bad color and bas service
I went to hair masters for highlights and while my hair was processing the stylist was ordered to do a hair cut by her co-worker. I started to feel my scalp burning, but thought it was noraml because of the chemicals. When she finally came back she rushed me to the sink to rinse. I could tell she was nervous when she saw the results and didn't want me to see my hair in the mirror. When I saw my hair I was shocked and told her it was to light. It looked like a home bleach job gone really bad. She said it would fade over time, but if I wanted to come back she could fix it. It was closing time and her co-worker wanted to go home. I paid even though I was unhappy. When I called to complain the next day, the supervisor suggested I come back for lowlights. I did and the stylist colored it with an orange tone. Now it looks even worse. I don't know what to do and am afraid to go back for a third fix. Any suggestions?
rude behavior and bad haircut
I took my one year old and six year old for a haircut and as tiffany johnson was clipping my onew year old who has had about 4 haircuts already I see she is digging holes and it is uneven so I tell her and she panics and calls over another hairdresser so I tell her are u new. Now I am upset the other woman is now cutting even more hair and it looks worse so...

I went in on march 5th to get my hair cut and highlights. I had a picture of my hair done as I like it and asked the girl to just trim it the way it was. I had a bob, but she whacked it up and when I left I had so many layers and it was such a mess that I cried for days. Also, my hair was darker when I left there than when I went in. No hightlights! I went back in to complain to the manager he told me I was crazy; that there was nothing wrong with my hair and it had obviously been colored. I told him I knew it had been colored, but I wanted highlights not darker! He would do absolutely nothing. His name is jose r. Zarazu. The hairdresser's name is erin. Avoid that salon like the plaque! Trust me

This is Erin. I want to first apologize for not achieving the results you wanted. Had I known or been given the chance to correct the issues you had, I would have glady done so. Please accept my sincerest apologies for not achieving the look you wanted.
I will always let Andrea do my hair. She is fantastic. No complaints for the last five+years.
I have been going to Andrea for over five years and have NEVER had a bad cut or color. She is good about making suggestions for what would look good on me. She is the best stylist there.
i've been going to erin for a while and haven't had an issue with her work. i think i had to go back once to get the bangs shorter, but she was so nice about fixing it.
If you didn't get to express your concerns to the original stylist and give her a chance to fix, at least, the color...then you didn't get your money's worth. The manager should have been more tactful in getting whatever his point was...across. It's never a fun experience to get a bad cut & color. Thankfully, hair grows back and color can be corrected. I hope you will be able to move on from this...
Did you get a chance to speak with the stylist? The manager was wrong for calling you "crazy". That is def inappropriate.
nightmare
When I 1st walked in dept mall regis 2 stylist working, 1 was manager, the other did my hair. The manager finished a client and after she walked out the girl doing my hair said "good job", and the manager said "yeah right that looked like *", and laughed! I shouldve left right there! I wanted partial blonde highlights just like the owners. She said she did the owners and she could do the same on mine. Ive been getting my hair highlighted for 14years and this woman did such a terrible job! I wanted bleach blonde and she made them dark orange! Saying next time I came in she could get them as light as I asked for! Ive never had to go a second time! The highlights arent spaced either, she took a layer of hair, bleached it without weaving through so the dark hair alternated. Point is 130 dollars later I walked out with dark orange messed up hair! I would never go here again or reccomendthis place to anyone. Very unprofessional and they dont know and dont care who's head they screw up. Im a single mom and going 4 times a year to get my hair done is a luxury, regis was a nightmare!

unfairly treated by supervisor and manager
I have been unfairly treated by supervisors and managers for several years. Everytime a new supervisor or manager comes in regis rules and regulations change. Issues like my schedule, days off, redos, write ups, being talked about with clients on sales floor from other stylists, manager's lying on employees to cover their butts to their supervisors. This is childish and unprofessional from a corporation that put these managers and supervisors in these positions. They also have problems with employees religious ethics. And the buddy buddy system needs to be address and stopped.

took picture in with me to have hair cut and

### cut look great
Yes wanted to make several complaints about a Valley view store which is owned by Regis and is called hair plus. The Hair stylist all seem to be great and hard working until their boss that they call Rose walks in. And speaking of favortisim I over heard Rose bragging of her and another sylist I beleive call Cecilia talking about there trip they are going on together to mexico for 2 weeks. How nice! Then she has fussed at the sylist in front of me and other clients for no reason. I guess she was having a bad dad. Then the next time I came in she is fussing about one of the stylist for have a little color in there clothes in front of me and other customers. Which I found out later that they have a dress code for black and white only which is fine if she the boss (Rose) followed the rules to. I have pictures of her in a very colorful flowered dress on when the last time I was getting hair cut. I will continue seeing my hair dresser because she does a terrific job but with the bosses attitude if that hair dresser leaves I am following her. That hair dresser makes me feel welcome but the boss doesnt. I get my hair done on a regular basics and I have seen her to be very rude to several clients and employees while me and others were in store. I think your store would do much better if you got her out of that store. From the time I started going to hair plus which has been several years I have witnessed her pretty much run great hair dressers off do to her attitude. I work in an retail and service field my self and this is not the way to manage especially in front of customers.
Regis took our store over Jan.2011 and by nov.2011 over goals from last year we $50, 000 down by $25, 000 dollars and some how it was the stylist fault! NOT! they are the worst company to work for.No longer !
I recently worked at Smartstyle and was treated very unfairly. I usually was was opening every day because the supervisor and other stylists were usually 45 minutes late and I wouldn, t want to lose a client for having the salon closed. They also were a very unclean salon, such as they refused and would not allow me to use a barbicide jar and had no hand sanitizer. I also noticed that their review was a zero out of One hundred. Not to mention that that the stylists were not team players. I had a client was the type that nothing would make him happy and even that I gave my best that person caused the supervisor to fire me even though I asked for ways to help him like it. I will learn and grow and in the future I will concentrate on finding friendly salons with a clean and professional atmosphere. I am always a team player and all Licensed Cosmetologists know that salons need to be spotless in order to protect the clients that we provide our services to!
im not a coustmer of supercuts but an emoloyee. i have worked with this co for almost 9 years. if goal of selling retail are not met your hours will be cut. to top it off they show how much they apperciate us by taking our matts right out from under our feet. who ever decided this must not have to stand for 8 hours a day on cemment. our shop has doubled in bis in two yrs because we used to care about our co. thamks regis for your support.
yea regis is a shady company and dont give a damn about their employees.
hair-terrible cut and col
After my stylist of 3 years at regis salon moved to ca. I attempted to find another. My husband had already bought a gift certificate in the amount of 100.00 dollars for christmas for me, and after attempting to get it refunded, because my stylist was gone and they could not recommend another, I was told they were unable to do so.
I made an appointment with the manager of the galleria location, she assured me the cut I wanted was not only simple, but that she taught the other employees how to cut and color.
I ended up with hair cut way shorter then I wanted, and layered an inch longer on one side then the other! The color I asked for were highlights, subtle in the front since I didn't want the trouble of major roots. I have huge chunks in the front... Totally opposite from what I asked. I could go on about additional issues with cust. Svc at the local level, however corporate is more important to warn against.
It took me numerous times to contact them! I went on line two separate times and called and left messages with no contact back! I finally talked to them today and they seemed unconcerned, telling me they would see if they could talk to the manager and call me back sometime! Wow! Do not get your hair done at regis ladies! It cost me 200.00 dollars total and I look terrible! Not to mention the lack of customer care and resolution!

poor customer service
I have taken my daughter (13) to regis hair salon (located within the lehigh valley mall in whitehall, pa) on many occasions to have her hair washed, conditioned, flat ironed, and sometimes trimmed. I have always been pleased with the service that we have received. This is why I felt it necessary to write about the horrible service that we received last weekend 12/19/09 by a stylist named "maya". This lady was very rude and confrontational when I asked her not to hold the flat iron for so long on the ends of my daughters hair. When I asked her about why my daughter had so much dandruff after maya washed and dried it, she said that it wasn't dandruff, it was dry scalp and that I "obviously" use the wrong conditioner. She said that she wasn't holding the iron too long on my daughters hair and argued with me about whether or not she has had a relaxer on her hair. Saying that she has had one when I know and told her that she didn't. I was upset at the poor customer service and concerned that she was burning my daughter's hair not to mention that the flat iron was 'smoking' hot. I finally told her that I was not interested in her finishing my daughter's hair, that I wanted to leave and was willing to pay even though the job wasn't finished. She then proceeded to charge me for an "up do" fee of $65.00. Claiming that my daughter's hair was long and that she spent an hour and a half working on it. I disputed the charge, never having to pay as much for a wash/condition/flat iron treatment.
After repeatedly asking her to call her manager (glen) who had left for the day, she finally called him and gave him her side of what happened. Rolling her eyes during this time in front of other customers who had gathered. After explainig to the manager on the phone my displeasure with the poor service received and then being over charged, he did not apologize. He told maya to charge me $35.00, which I payed. Upon leaving the store, maya told me in front of other customers to "choose another stylist".
Needless to say, both myself and my daughter were uncomfortable and very upset at the extremely rude employee as well as the poor handling of this situation by her manager, not apologizing to me the customer for the poor customer service and care received.
I have used this salon many times in the past but will never use it again and will be sure to tell all of my friends and family about how awful maya was in treating me, and how unconcerned the manager was that day.

I would have felt uncomfortable as well. I don't know why those other customers did not walk out. It's ashame that the manager did not take the appropriate actions. TBH, sometimes they are the greedy one who is looking to find ways to charge more and will actually encourage their staff to be a [censor] about prices. Check out my story
damaged my hair
I recently received service at the regis in cherryvale mall. Having family in the hairstyling business, and a mother who once managed a regis salon, I felt comfortable trying a new location. I knew exactly what to tell the stylist, so she would know what I wanted, and I would know exactly what to expect. Requesting highlights and lowlights, I made sure to tell her that I did not want bleach used, since my hair was already dry. She suggested a toner, so I asked not to have any ash-toned blonde knowing that ash deposits badly on my hair, and ends up turning the blonde pieces gray. During the service I realized that the stylist was moving quicker than usual, but resisted mentioning it as I figured she was just good at her job. It was close to closing time so I now realize that she was just in a rush to leave on a friday night.
After the process was done and she started to blow out my hair, she seemed to be inspecting it with a concerned face. She finished, ran some shining solution through, and asked me to meet her at the counter to pay. I quickly looked at my hair in the mirror and went for the desk. I paid and left. When I got home I washed and re-styled my hair because she put a bit too much shining solution in (not a big deal) plus, I usually like to style it myself. This is when I really wished that I had looked over my hair better in the salon, but the lights were dim and she seemed in a hurry. As I was blow drying, I inspected my ends. They were greenish-gray and the hair was broken off (breakage occurs due to over-processing), and she had used bleach mixed with an ash toner. I had asked her not to use both. On top of all that, the lowlights were spotty. This occurs when foils bleed onto each other or when not enough product is used. The lowlights were also dramatically darker in front than in the back. So to sum this up, my highlights are broken and greenish-gray at the ends, my lowlights are spotty, and the overall color of the lowlights is inconsistent. I honestly don't think it could have been any worse.
Finally, I went back to the salon and showed the girl who had done my hair, what I was unhappy with. She did not seem surprised that I was back. (i'm positive she knew that she had messed up). She suggested that we re-foil the whole thing. I declined in fear of further damaging my hair. What was more disappointing is that she said nothing about doing the re-foil for free. Free service is standard when mistakes are made and you are unhappy with the results. I ended up having to go somewhere else. I've since had a malibu treatment to correct the greenish-gray, but have to wait to color again since my hair is stressed from over-processing.
After 120 dollars for one really bad hair experience, it is safe to say that I will not be returning to this business.

unprofessional people
The regis hair salon at the huntington mall has the most lazy, unfriendly stylists I have ever seen in a salon, and that's saying something! I can go there any time of the day as a walk-in and no matter how many stylists are sitting on their butts or talking (with no one in chairs waiting), I will be told that it will be a two to three hour wait, and they act like I am bothering them just be asking! I guess these people do not really want to work. Maybe the manager/owner of the franchise should check into this. I certainly would not want my business run by these unprofessional people!

ladies beware
On friday, april 7th, I went to regis hair salon in monroe, nc to get a relaxer put in my hair. I asked the hairdresser to style my hair using her fingers and not a comb.
On saturday, april 8th, I started running my fingers through my hair and noticed my hair at the nape of my neck coming out.in fact, the hair at the nape of my neck was broke off. Two small places were bald.
I had two different stylists from two different locations look at my hair. Both agreed that there was definitely breakage... Possibly due to the chemical not being washed out thoroughly.
That same saturday, I called regis and spoke with my hairdresser. She said it could have come from the chemical getting on the hair that had previously been colored or it could be from me being stressed. She asked me to come in.
Both the manager and the hairdresser looked at my hair. The manager told me she didn't know what could have caused it to break off that bad. Yes, they both apologized. The manager told me she would give me one month of free treatments.
By the way, keep in mind that november of 2005... This same salon, different hairdresser dropped a curling iron in the middle of my forehead. Regis corporation did receive a complaint from me. I was not seeking any restitution unless a scar was left on my forehead. Fortunately, due to some good products which I paid for. There was no scar.
On sunday, april 9th, I noticed my hair was brittle and still shedding.in fact, I noticed that the hair at the front of my head was also broke off. I called the salon back to let them know just like the manager told me to do.
The hairdresser told me that they could only give me my money back. I asked the hairdresser would that be enough for her if she was in this situation. She said no. Needless to say, I did have prior plans for sunday but I cancelled them because of my hair.
All of us ladies know that if your hair isn't right, nothing is.
On monday morning, april 10th, I called regis corporation. I explained the situation to them. I also reminded them of the november incident which they pulled up.
The young lady I spoke with told me she would have to talk with the manager and call me back. Well, she told me that she did not talk to the manager but she talked to the hairdresser. She said the hairdresser agreed that there were some issues.
Regis corp agreed to give me my $68.00 back for the relaxer. They did not say anything about the tip. They also agreed to give me somewhere between $60-$75 dollars for treatments at one of regis salons. She continued by saying that their treatment costed $10 each. I apologize that I do not remember the exact amount. By this time, i'm not too happy.
All I wanted was for regis to give me my $68. Oo back along with the $10.00 tip and to pay for me to have some deep, conditioning treatments done at a salon of my choice.
Why would I want to go back to a regis salon?
Is it too much to ask for me to have some good treatments to try to correct what they messed up?
My hair was healthy and long. I paid a professional for a service. The result was negligence and now the corporation is telling me what they won't do.

bad service
I would have to say my experience at regis overall was good. However the management at southridge mall in greendale wi was horrible! Whats worse than getting your hair fryed? A sucky manager who cant seem to get past her own personal insecurities and takes it out on her staff. Im sure this was also fueled by the nasty, cold, bitter district manager chris. A person who would promote you just to demote you just before a hard earned bonus check.
I love what I do for a living but you couldnt pay me enouf to deal with these two miserable people...

labor board
Im curently an employee of regis salon in the greenwood mall in bowling green kentucky. Every person that works in the salon is completely miserable. We have been instructed to not clock in when we get to work so that the company doesnt have to pay its employees the hourly rate of pay.in turn you can be at work for hours without getting paid.in that time you are expected to clean, do laundry, make retail sales, put out stock, & do inventory. There is a lot of employees in our salon for the amount of customers that we have. I have recently been told that soon alot of people are not going to be happy there do to some "changes" being made. I didnt go to school and pay for a education to be treated like this. If things dont change a lawsuit will be filled, not to mention the labor board will be contacted, and the kentucky state board of cosmetology will be informed. If other salons that regis owns such as master cuts, trade secret, cost cutters, supercuts, and others can all be paid hourly rates why is regis so different?

If you work in a Regis/SmartStyle in Utah, and are terminated (Laid Off), they are not registered with the unemployment office here in Utah.
I completely agree! I too am currently an employee at the Regis and I know exactly how you feel. Personally, I am a little aggravated that I've worked for the company for 3 years and make them a good amount of money with the clients that I bring in but in return you get crapped on if your not making them enough money! We had like 5 people get a "write up" stating that if Jan comes and they don't raise their sales, they will be terminated! How unfare is that?! I mean you can't really bring in clients when there is no one in the mall! Theres another girl, who started 8 months after I did and does less in services and has had two raises now! I've only had one and I had to wait 3 months after she got hers! like wtf?! We have a really cool boss but I think theres times when he/she needs to step up and be the boss! You have to draw the line between friendships and come down on people that don't clean their shelves, or don't help with laundry. We have one girl whose been with the company for like 14 yrs and she's nothing but a stylist! She claims that she's worked for the company "long enough" to not have to do laundry! [censor]! You dirty the towels too! Maybe not the capes, but that's cause she doesn't sanitize, she uses the same cape on EVERYONE! EEWWW! I feel this company never looks out for their employees and Yes they do make us clock out when we're not busy! But then again we had another girl get wrote up because she was working on a client and forgot to clock in from HAVING to clock out! Then theres the days when you're really busy and may not even get a break, and they EXPECT you to clock out! Oh and one more thing...when one of our girls "won" a prize for the monthly quota, they took out taxes for it on her check! Sorry, but if you "WON" something, you shouldn't have to pay taxes! Let's just say she could have bought the damn thing for what they made her pay in taxes! I don't wanna work for a company that won't advance you, I'd like to make more than just commission...I mean we can at least have the holidays a paid day off like any other job, or even a christmas bonus would be nice! But them...NO, Nothing!
Mastercuts division has also had labor board issues. This happened in 2002, when Regis Co. changed their set hourly wages for all salon employees, stylist that made $14:00 dallors an hour would now make $7:25 an hour. With the change in wages the Co. offered productivity bonus, which started a sliding pay scale. The DM in this case, told the stylists at a mandatory meeting, " to clock out when it was slow, and do busy work, clean, stock retail and other non-productive work, and clock back in when needed." Needless to say, but the Regis Co. slaughtered a salon that received "The Directors Award, " that year to a salon in disbelief. Lower management and the stylist were questioned by the Labor Board, Regis Co.was fined. Then lower management was written up by the same DM for, "Inavertly trying to take down the Co. singly handed." I walked out with the Directors Award in hand thinking, WHAT WAS THAT?!
racists
I recently visited the regis salon at the north park center mall in dallas, tx & was refused service because I am black. The manager offered a number of incredible excuses (such as 'the stylists are about to leave","the stylists are all booked"; all of which were obviously bogus) as to why I could not be serviced. I discourage anyone from patronizing a business that operates in this manner. If anyone else has had a similar experience, please email me as I would not be surprised if this is not a systemic problem at the regis salons.

danger
Regis is a big money maker thats all they care about. Do you know they keep the staff of people that makes them alot of money. Your safety is not there concern. I have watched and reported a unclean stylist to the manager and she repoted to Ritzi that the stylist is using razors and cutting people and not changing the razor and also did not stop to take care of the cuts. Sitting people down with hair still in the chair and floor from the customer before. This stylist is waxing eyebrows and a master barber is not allowed to by the board. Double dipping in the wax while she knows that her clieant has just tested positive for HIV. This must stopped now! She is still a employee of Regis. I had typed out a letter to the board but there e-mail on there webpage no longer works I guess. People should be aware of the stylist and who works on them when the board is not around be carefull some stylist do not go by the boards rules. Have the stylist to show you his or her tools to make sure they are clean before they use them on you. You do NOT want to be shaved with a razor and wake up with HIV from a hair cut or shave or a wax.

I AM A STYLIST THAT HAS BEEN EMPLOYED FOR SMART STYLE SINCE I GRADUATED COSMETOLOGY SCHOOL I REALLY DID ENJOY WORKIN FOR THE COMPANY MY HIRE DATE WAS 02/19/2017 AND I WAS TERMINATED ON 03/12/2017 FOR REASONS IN WHICH I DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE UNEMPLOYMENT COMMISSION WAS TOLD THAT I WAS TERMINATED FOR UNDERCHARGING A 3 YEAR OLD CHILD . I WAS TERMINATED ON SATURDAY BUT THE PROBLEM ALL STARTED ON THURSDAY TWO DAYS PRIOR WHERE I FELT THE MANAGER WAS HARRASING ME FOR NO REASON. I WAS AT WORK FOR 3 HOURS DOING NONSTOP WORK AND WHEN THE PERSON CAME IN AFTER ME I TRIED TO TAKE A BREAK AND NOONE WAS IN THE SALON WAITING ON SERVICE AND I WAS GOING TO STAND OUTSIDE OF THE DOOR WHERE I CAN SEE IF ANYONE CAME INTO THE SALON THE MANAGER TOLD ME I WASNT ALLOWED TO TAKE A BREAK SHE DONT CARE HOW LONG I HAD BEEN THERE BECAUSE SHE WAS THERE FIRST AND SHE WAS GOING TO TAKE A BREAK. MIND YOU SHE NEVER TOOK A BREAK BECAUSE SHE WAS TOO BUSY TAKING ME TO THE DISPENSARY YELLING AND GETTING BELIGERENT AND THROWING HER WEIGHT AROUND. IN THE MEAN TIME AFTER HER TANTRUM I WENT TO THE FRONT TO PROCEED TO FINISH THE CUSTOMER THAT IWAS WORKING ON AT THE TIME AND THE STYLIST THAT CAME IN WAS NOT THERE 30 MINUTES BUT SHE LEFT THE SALON AND WENT TO MC DONALDS AND WAS NOT TOLD ANYTHING. WELL I AM AN AFRICAN AMERICAN FEMALE THE MANAGER IS CAUCASIAN AND THE OTHER STYLIST IS ASIAN. I WORKED FOR THIS COMPANY FOR 4 YEARS CALLED IN TWICE I BELIEVE IN THE FIRST TWO YEARS NEVER LATE AND WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND FOR THE CUSTOMERS AND THE SHOP AND BELIEVE I WAS TREATED UNFAIRLY. THERE IS MORE TO THIS STORY LEADING UP TO MY TERMINATION BUT THIS IS ALL FOR NOW THAT I WILL DISCUSS UNTIL SPEAKING WITH SOMEONE. TO NO AVAIL I KNOW THAT THERE IS A RACISM SITUATION INVOLVED HERE BECAUSE ONE MONTH LATER SHE FIRED ANOTHER BLACK STYLIST, AND 3 MONTHS TO THE DATE OF MY TERMINATION THEY FIRED THE LAST REMAINING BLACK STYLIST.
REGIS AT LONGVIEW MALL. I used to like this place. However when I came there to cut my hair last time there was an afro-american lady who just didn't get how to cut my hair when I had to expalain to her over and over again but still she couldn't understand. Then whithout any reason SHE CALLED ME STUPID and I just had to leave that place whithout a haircut. What kind of place is that where customers are called stupid? The lady's name is Tany or Britany. I defenitely won't recommend her.
Denis.
So-called stylist should not be allowed near color or scissors or razors - Ever! First occasion (walk-in): Came in for color: lowlights and highlights (no cut, as I was growing it out). did the color. Result: A prominent large circular 'burn' mark of the darker color right on the top of my head! Second occasion (appointment): different stylist, color, no cut (still growing it out), no mishaps. Third occasion (walk-in): is my stylist again and I thought, "OK, well this is just a cut and not color" -- I should have run. Instead, I told her that I'd been growing my hair out for 6 months, and I was still growing it out, so please don't take off any of the length, just a trim. I told her very specifically not to take anything from the sides, but that my bangs were a little longer than I liked and could be thinned out a little. I told her again that my intention was to grow it longer and that I was trying to get it all one length. I stressed this last part at least three times. There was another woman, who I assumed was another stylist, who sat 2 seats next to mine in an otherwise deserted salon who witnessed all that was said. Result: She didn't touch my bangs. She DID, however, proceed to razor and scissor and chop directly into the thickness of my hair, creating extremely thinned out layers which is the EXACT OPPOSITE OF WHAT I ASKED FOR. Was she just not listening? My hair is in worse shape now with all her crazy razoring and thinning of the portions I said to LEAVE ALONE and complete neglect of the portion I said needed work. Was it done on purpose as a joke? Did she and her friend laugh after I'd left? The closest I can equate this haircut to is Joan Jett with overly-heavy bangs -- might work for Joan, but SUX on me -- and more importantly NOT WHAT I ASKED FOR. All that time I spent growing it out is now utterly wasted, as I will now have to go somewhere else and have it cut properly, but likely will have to let even more length go (grrrr) in order to get my healthy THICK hair back.
You're kind of an ###. Using the term 'boy' over and over again to degrade service personell.
Please do not type in all caps. It is unnecessary and difficult to read.
PLEASE BELIEVE I AM NOT LOOKING TO GOING BACK THERE BECAUSE I PUT TOO MUCH IN THAT PLACE TO BE UNAPPRECIATED THE WAY THAT I WAS AND GOD HAS BLESSED ME WITH A BETTER OPPORTUITY 2 DAY AFTER I WAS TERMINATED I JUST WANT TO LET THE PEOPLE KNOW ITS NOT THE COMPANY THATS BAD ITS THE MANAGERS THAT WORK IN THE SALONS AND HOME OFFICE ISN'T AWARE OF EVERYTHING THAT GOES ON, I DO WISH THAT I CAN SPEAK WITH CORPORATE BECAUSE THIS NEEDS TO BE DISCUSSED BUT THE DM WILL DO NOTHING I TRIED HER.
what do you mean, grrrr? you knew after the first time she sucked, and then you went back again, and she sucked. then you went again, and she sucked.
Rather than posting a complaint on the internet blaming others, perhaps you should be looking in a mirror . Thats who you need to growl at.
bad haircut
I went in to the salon needing a haircut. I had my picture (same one I take every time) because one of the few girls in the shop that can cut hair correctly told me that I should always have it that way the stylist knows exactly what I want.
The fake stylist (she was about 6 or 7 months pregnant it appeared) started cutting my hair and I should have got up the second she made her first cut. She started cutting the top first. I have never in my 40 + years seen anyone start at the top of the head. She went on to ask me "how long did I want it in the back?". Hello look at the pic. I showed her the picture and said about like it is here. Duh the she got to the ears and again she asked how long I wanted to have it... Look at the pic then again when she got to my bangs... Wow I am a fool.. I really cant understand how these stylist get a job and get their license.
My hair is no were close to being a style. One side is thin and the other is thick. I look like I have a 70 y/o's cut no kidding. I had a cute messy cut, now I cant do a thing with what she did to me. I wont be going in there again.

Well then "CLEARLY" you should have stuck with the ones who knew how to cut your hair. You sound like a very unhappy person!
highlights gone bad
I recently walked into my local walmat and decided to get some blonde hightlights added to my already light brown hair. I have this process done in the past at high end salons, as well as, local walk-in places. I've never had an experience quite like I had the other day. After getting in the chair the stylist asked what I would like done. I asked her to just add some blonde highlights to my hair. I wouldn't have noticed the amount of foil she used over my entire head because I have very thick hair. When it came to her putting me under a dryer she said that it would be about 20 min. I sat there for about 10 min. Before she did another lady's haircut. She walked back by me afterwards, and thinking she was going to check one or two of the foils, like everyone else has ever done, she grabbed her coat to go outside and smoke a cigarette. I knew at this point I had been there for some time. I would have to say 30 minutes or so judging from the time on my cell. She finally came back in and rinsed my hair and combed through the nappy mess. She blowed dried it slightly and asked if that was dry enough (what?) so I said sure because I was already annoyed with my second class service. I left the salon after paying $83.00 for the color and $10.00 for a very undeserved tip. I normally tip more, but I couldn't believe the service at that point. I got home only to look at my hair a little closer. My hair is no longer brown with blonde highlights, but rather blonde with some evidence that I once had had lt. Brown hair. The evidence that i'm referring to, would be the 1/2in-3/4in roots all over my head. The girl got no where near my scalp and one of these chunks of roots just so happens to be smack dab in the middle of my head right where my part is. I'm so incredibly disgusted with how much I paid for such a botched job and now i'm fearful to go back and get it fixed or to go to another salon and have to pay full price for what I wanted originally. I'm so pissed!

Why on earth would you tip someone, for the most awful service? That makes no sense
ridiculous
Regis salon in the st. Claire square mall is horrible! They are constantly chatting amongst themselves, not paying attention to what you want to do with your hair. There is one stylist there with really short hair whose name begins with an l (laurie, lindsey, something like that) who straight out does not know what she is doing. She would not listen to how I wanted my hair cut, screwed up my color, and was generally completely rude! (her breath smelled too, but that wasn't a deal breaker for me) I do not even know how she still has a job there. After messing my hair up, her manager sherri (I believe that was her name) defended her, telling me the stylist was 'stressed out'. Ridiculous!

I agree totally. My hair that I have been growing out for over a year now is completely ruined because someone let a girl only two months out of cosmo school color my hair. The whole time I was asking questions about why they were doing certain processes and everyone acting like I was just being a pest. The girl ended up doing a whole highlight that was not needed. My hair is practically clear now. I went back twice to get this fixed each time I leave there looking worse. Tomorrow I am asking for my money back. It isn't even about the money really. I would gladly give them three times the amount that I paid if they would have told me as soon as I walked in the door that they were completely incompetent and that they would do nothing but destroy the health of my hair. My hair that was before very healthy for blonde hair now feels like wet spaghetti. There are pieces that are breaking off around my ears almost down to the scalp. I will never say anything but horrible things about this salon. I guess I should have known better than to go to Regis. But really I didn't know that they take practically students and let them run loose with no supervision. I have no doubt that I could have done less damage by coloring my hair myself with a kit from Wal-mart.
A couple of years ago, my husband bought me a gift certificate for RGIS hair salong for mother's day. Well, I went there and got a hair cut for $42. It was an average cut which I could have gotten at Great Clips for $12. Anyways, a in december, I had a ball to go to, so I wanted my hair cut. Again, I paid $42, and the lady didn't even listen to what I wanted. She did her own thing. She used a razor and hacked at my hair. I was suprised I had any hair left. Anyways, when I went to the ball, people were staring at my hair. One side looked like my 5 year old son cut it and the other side was longer. I never went back there again. Now, I just go to Great Clips because it doesn't pay to pay more for a hair cut.
don't go there
The Regis Hair Salon in Tulsa Ok. located inside the promenade mall, has some very unprofessional stylists, one in particular named Akishia, always tries to takes the other stylists clients, she practically jumped over the counter to tell me my regular stylist was gone that day but she could do my hair at a cheaper rate, which I think is really unprofessional and reflects badly on the salon as a whole, what type of disloyalty do they have? This is not the first time it has happened, I would assume that if a persons regular stylist is gone, unless requested, they would try and reschedule. several of the stylists leave the salon during a job, they talk about things that should not be talked about in a place of business, not all a few of the stylist are wonderful, I do not want to mention names because I am afraid that this is the type of place that may take it out on them. Regis needs to look things over and see the bad apples and the good ones. In this salon I would have to say they have maybe have six good stylists, excluding the manager Erin. She should not be manager, she has terrible skills. I am thinking of taking my business elsewhere just because of the atmosphere of the salon. I return because I like my stylist, if she left I would leave too.

Honest time: You sound as if you'd complain if, God was styling your hair!
DON’T GO THERE!
Trust me, please save your MONEY and
TIME. They are way too over priced
for the limp dull mess of a hair they left me in for my prom, honestly not worth
a single cent! My “stylist” Morgan I believe was her name, very incompetent! Apparently my curly hair was too much a
challenge for her. I even showed her pictures and she still didn’t get the
idea. She stood there and told me “my hair will never look like that…because it’s
too curly” Isn’t she a stylist? Shouldn’t she know how to use a curling iron or
what a hair straightener is for? So useless she was! And she still had the
nerve to charge me $45 to waste my time and damage my hair. I didn’t know whether
to laugh or yell at her! I, who am not a “professional” went back home and did my
own hair and looked much more like the picture I had.”Oh how I must be a genius!(Sarcasm
intended)” I doubt Morgan is the only one who can’t do hair there, the “stylist”
right next to us was ripping her client’s hair out because she can’t even brush hair…either that or
she hated her client... Moral of the
story, don’t go to Regis at Tulsa Promenade Mall. NEVER AGAIN.
Sorry. That's the manager at woodland hills mall in Tulsa...
The manager at the salon is a liar and is VERY rude. She started to yell at me because I confronted her about not giving my 15 yr old a receipt for her $50 "trim" when at first she stated "we give all our customers receipts" then turned around said "your daughter did not ask for a receipt" and that she was a liar. I am so mad I could spit fire ! She obviously does not have children because every mother knows you do not mess with another mothers child...
Hmmm...I find this very funny...and ironic.
choppy haircut - horrible!!!
I had my hair done in aug 18, 2008 at regis 4750 north division
Spokane, wa 99207. I brought a photo of the haircut I always get. I told the stylist to trim only 1 inch. I ended up with very choppy, not blended hair that was cut off over 2 inches! It looked like when a young child attempts to cut their own hair. I returned the next day requesting another stylist to fix it and she ended up trimming my hair even more to try to remove the "shelves" and trimmed my bangs - which I had never had before - uneven where one side was 3/4 an inch longer! I returned the next day, receiving a full refund and proceeded to fantastic sam's where they did fix it the best they could with what they had to work with.in the end my hair is over 3 inches shorter and I have short bangs! I had to purchase a new curling iron since my barrel was too large for my new only 3 - 7 inches of choppy layers. I have never had such a horrific haircut in my 30 years of professional stylists. As I am telling my story to other people, they have told me of their own bad experience with regis salons. While she was styling my hair some young man came in wanting a haircut. He specified to have lindsey but was told she did not have time for a walk-in. He insisted on her so they told him to come back at 4:15. My color, cut, style and waxing began at 2:00. She finished at 3:45. I suspect she hurried so she would have time to trim this handsome young man whom many of the stylists apparently knew. My family will never use regis again and I will tell my story to anyone willing to hear it. I have more faith in the abilities of a professional at great cuts, fantastic sam’s and the like than the unprofessional stylist your corporation employs.
It sounds to me like you are upset because she tried to make time for a regular! And clearly you do not have a regular salon. If you walk in, and want your hair done at the moment, you would think you would expect to be second. As far as the faith comment. If you gat a bad haircut at Sam's, they would be the ones here in the fire!

Girl u need to call and get your money back! Then go to a salon that specializes in color correction! And let me tell you, hair masters and Regis salons are not one of them! Regis owns ALOT of corporations, hair masters, supercuts, smartstyle.. ect, stay far away from them! Most of the girls are just out of school! I would know, i used to work at one. Good luck to u!
