Fee for returning container after switching to a new company
When Republic Services bought our previous waste management company, we were not given any information about them. We cancelled them one month in and then received a bill for $30.00 container removal plus $2.93 for solid waste management tax plus $4.65 for COU solid waste management for a total of $37.58! No one else charges you when you change companies! I filed a complaint with the BBB, but would like you to also help us shed the light on this. How many other people sub-come to these charges. It can't be legal!

Worst trash company billing department. They send bad emails regarding your bill, Auto pay with this company sucks. The bought out Randy's and I have nothing but trouble. Reaching them by email does not work.

weekly garbage pickup for a commercial business.
On 7/28/22 my trash was not picked up. I called and the customer service said it will be picked up tomorrow. It wasn't picked up and once again i called at 3:30 and asked why my garbage wasn't picked up and she said they will pick up by 6pm and if not, they will pick up the next day. It wasn't picked up that day or Saturday. Now i am on my second week of collection and once again no one shows up. I have 2 weeks of garbage and now if I get any tickets for overflowing garbage or neighbors complaining I will be forwarding them to Republic Services. I had this issue before with overflowing garbage and i received a ticket. This happens about every 2 to 3 months and no one calls and lets me know about why my trash is not being collected. I have to constantly call to get in touch with someone to rectify this issue. It's like no one cares! My sales rep. is useless too. If there is an issue where you not being able to consistently collect my trash than my contract should be voided.
Desired outcome: refund for days my trash wasn't picked up and a guarantee of better service
pick-up of dumpster full of trash
I rented a small container for my home to put clean-up trash in it they we're suppose to pick up and empty on the July22,2022 and no one showed up I called them to tell them on Monday July 25th so they sent someone to pick-up Tuesday July 25th now I'm 71 and my father whom I take care of is ninety so I can only move so fast to fill it so now I have 3 days in which to fill it so I asked if I can get back the 3 days I lost and they said no I do not think this is fair I told them why can't they just change my pick up date for Tuesdays so I could get those days I paid for still said no or extend my time for 3 days and said no

have repeatedly complained for over a month about lack of pick-up of fetid waste in our dumpster
We have been promised a pick-up of our dumpster waste since June 4th...we have had at least four scheduled pick up dates and adjusted account credit with a supervisor promise for pick up today, and still no pick up. This is an outrage. We are seniors and facilitators of a non-profit. We have called and spent literally hours on the phone to achieve a pick-up, got a supposedly reduced rate and a promise for pick up today, the fourth promise in two weeks, no pick up. We cannot add any more trash and the bin is probably full of rats. We are outraged.

Forgot to pick up Green Recycle Pick Up 07/15/22
Republic Trash Collector is a terrible company, previously we had Waste Management in the City of Santa Ana. We had Waste Management trash collector for more than 20 years. I didn't have any issues. I called Republic about 2 months ago in regards to getting an extra trash can the old company took. I am still waiting. REPUBLIC IS A TERRIBLE COMPANY SERVICE PROVIDER.
Desired outcome: I need the extra trash can that the old company took.
Recycling Pickup in Kalamazoo / Oshtemo / Fountain Springs
Fountain Spring uses your business for trash and recycling services. As a tenant we pay extra for recycling. Your company hasn't picked up recycling since late April. Every week (though service for recycling is every two weeks) I push the container out to the curb, and every week it doesn't get picked up.
I can understand missing a week due to a holiday, or new employee, but again, this has been going on since the first of May 2022. I have made Fountain Springs aware of the situation which has yielded little results.
I hope you will make an effort to resolve this situation.

Return of credit
I cancelled service with Republic Servises as of 06/30/22. The company chose 07/07/22 to be the lat pick up day and to also pick up the trash bins. My new service (free from the county) started on 07/05/22. I was told I have a credit of -$133.11 that would be refunded to me. Today the web site says I have a balance of $15.89 due and a credit of -$133.11. I was also told today that there is a $30.00 fee for them picking up the bins which I was not told about. I was also told today that it will take up to 8 weeks to receive my refund (I survive on Social Security) and need every cent I can get my hands on. I fail to understand why I need to wait for up to 2 months (it has already been 2 weeks) for my refund but when you send me a bill you expect payment within 1 month. Can someone please explain the delay to a very unhappy ex-customer. By the way the service has been great for the past 30 years up until now. At this point I would hesitate to recommend the service, especially don't cancel service. Robert Goodale

Unauthorized charges
Without any notification, charges for container relocation and three separate pick up services for new organic carts were placed on my bill. Called customer service on 7/11/22 and waiting on hold for 20 minutes. Then spoke to three different customer service reps for an hour and 13 minutes and none of them could explain the charges or help me reverse the charges. Asked to be transferred to a supervisor or someone who could actually help me with an explanation. The rep hung up on me while transferring and never called me back. Called back and waited on hold for another 30 minutes and still have no resolution. Being the only game in town they have a monopoly and can charge whatever and whenever. Where else can we go to get service?
Desired outcome: Give written advanced notice of rate increases or new charges at least a month in advance. Provide a detailed explanation of new charges on the invoice. Refund me for charges that are not agreed upon or justified.
Trash pick up
Missed the picked up the week before - called to have them come back due to the July 4th holiday - they didn't come back, trash overflowing, Had a small trash fire due fireworks. Was able to put it out. This is 210 S. Walnut, Anaheim, CA 92805.
Also, drivers don't let the cans fuully empty before replacing them, spilling garbage all over. Drivers are pretty lazy.
Desired outcome: Need to just do their job - they have thing to do - pick up the trash. Do it and don't miss pick-ups and don't spill garbage all over, and when you do, get out and pick it up.
Yard waste pick up
Our yard waste has not been picked up since May 24th. We contracted for pick up every Wednesday...up to 10 containers. Now we have filled all we have,16, and the grass is dead underneath them. We have an acre and every week have 10 containers on the street every Tuesday evening. We will be listing our house for sale this month but with 16 cans out there with rotting, smelly yard waste there is no curb appeal. We have called multiple times for weeks and explained the urgency to resolve this quickly. Our patience is gone and we want action. Ready to throw the cans in our truck and put them in front of the doors at their St. Louis headquarters.
Never have we had this kind of issue with other companies. Plus we are on hold when calling for up to an hour!

Desired outcome: Please just acknowledge the problem, send a truck, pick up the yard waste, apologize and comp our bill. Then never let it happen again.
service not being provided as promised
I received a call on Tuesday 6/21/2022 that you had an issue beyond your control and to leave our trash out and it would be picked up on the next regular scheduled day which would be Tuesday 6/28/2022. I contacted customer service Wednesday 6/29/2022 and they told me my trash was scheduled for pickup Thursday 6/30/2022. I again called Friday 7/1/2022 and they stated my trash would be picked up by 6:00 pm... Here we are Saturday 7/2/2022 of a holiday weekend and the neighborhood still has not had its trash picked up.
Desired outcome: 1. Provide the service!2. Issue refunds / credits to bill for non pickup!3. Remove from your Purpose Statement "Customers know they can count on us to provide a superior experience." because this just isn't a true statement!
Yard Waste pick up 886 Meadowbrook Rd Blue Bell Pa 19422
We have been customers for more than 20 years. We liked the two times a week pickup and the yard waste pickup when the other waste was picked up. We stayed with Republic when practically everyone went to White Tail.
I put some tree clippings our on the 22 of June which were not taken. I called to discover that yard waste is only picked up once a month on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. I was told that it was not picked up because it has to be 3 full weeks. Well on June 29 th the yard waste was not picked up. I called and was told it would be picked up either June 30 or July 1. I called at 12:00pm and talked to a supervisor. I was told yard waste is picked up the 4th Wednesday of each month and should have been picked up. She said she would call and have it picked up today, Friday July 1. She said she would call me to confirm that the yard waste was picked up. Well! No pick up! No phone call! Now the clipping are turning brown, falling of the branches, it is a mess! Now I have this mess over a holiday with friends coming!
Maybe I should have gone with White Tail? What is the problem. When are you picking up the waste?

Extra fees and fraudulent practices
We have been a loyal customer for over 30 years and finally decided to cancel service to use a local waste removal provider. We were tired of paying more in fuel surcharges than the local provider charges for complete trash removal service. We are paying double of what their competitor Nitti is. We talked to a "Manager" about this issue, and they did nothing. So we went to Nitti and cancelled at Republic. Another big reason we aren't happy is that every week for months our recycling was at least a day late. Apparently they didn't have enough workers to do a second route. Here is another thing;. we were forced to have recycling every week instead of every other, hence more fees. Anyway, we were issued a credit a month or so earlier for an over charge on fuel fees and recovery fees by Republic. The final bill arrived and these people used our credit card credit to apply to this bill! I smell immoral, if not fraudulent, illegal and bad business practices, at least. This new bill is demanding more money from us, with our credit owed to us used as a partial payment! We never received a credit on our card or with our bank, where all of these previous charges were taken out of. This time they wanted us to pay to remove 4 trash cans they placed on my premises. Making matters worse, they want to charge a fuel surcharge for that too. They didn't give us an option of bringing the trash cans back ourselves. They charged $120 and a lot of "fees." We might add that none of these extra charges were originally included in the original agreement, from 30+ years ago. We told the Manager on the phone that we would not be paying another dime and that we have been good loyal customers forever. We called one more time yesterday, June 29, 2022 to try and make some sense to this new "Manager" on the phone. He refused to escalate to another person, saying he is the only one that can authorize any changes. Well, he wouldn't do anything for us, implying that our credit will suffer if we don't pay. We are being bullied into paying for something that was never agreed to. What a way to do business. After reading all the complaints, we are not alone, and it's like a broken record as to what the are doing to others. It is exactly the abuse we've endured. They are abusing power and hurting people's credit score with these questionable tactics.
Desired outcome: I want a refund for all the extra fees we have been charged, and to disregard the pick up fees. We also want our credit of $126.81 in the form of a check.
Bulk Trash Pick Up
I requested a bulk pick up on Tuesday (6/28/22) for next day trash. They told me I can have up to 5 items to throw away. They make you waste the purple trash bags to tie around the items for them to be picked up. When Wednesday (6/29/22) came around, they took the trash bags and left the bulk items. I called back Wednesday and they told me there should be another truck that is going to pick up the bulk items. They never did. I called back today, Thursday (6/30/22) and she told me there was never a bulk item pick up made. Now, I have to waste more purple trash bags; which are not cheap, and have to leave the items out for a whole week before it gets taken care of. Terrible service.
Desired outcome: I would like these bulk items to be picked up without wasting anymore of my trash bags.
Our trash was not emptied 6/29
All our neighbors had service today. Can we get our refuge emptied. We are doing some house cleaning and need our container ASAP. Thank you. 76801. We have been missed about 4x.

On June 14, 2022 I called to find out when a bulk item can be picked up they told me it would be picked up the next day in our neighborhood. So I paid to have the item brought down to the street. So the item could be picked up on June 15 which never happened. I called late afternoon to check up on what time they will be picking it up and I was told that they would schedule it for later on in the day or it would be tomorrow which would be June 16. On June 16 about 10 PM on my way to work I’m sure the mattress was still there. I’ve been calling them every day or every other day to find out when the item will be picked up it is now the 25th the item is still in front of the house and I have two letters from Association where they want to give me a fine and now would be in the weekend nobody will answer their office because they’re closed numerous times you’ve lied to me telling me that somebody will call me back which they never did my bill is paid up to date there’s no reason why this item should be picked but now I have to pay fine with association sincerely Dawn King

Fraudulent service
This place is a fraud I have 2 neighbors paying around $100 they have the same container and quarterly schedule as me I have been with them for 20 years. My bill is $165! I called yesterday and spoke to a robotic rep that just said she was sorry and just silence they do not care.

My neighbor threw his trash inside my recycling trash can.
The townhome next to mine (2178 Cabo Bahia, Chula Vista, CA 91914) is being remodeled. This morning I discovered that my blue recycling dumpster was filled with my neighbor's trash. One of the worker's, who is doing the remodeling, said that he did not know where that trash came from, though the blue trash can in my neighbor's has the same kind of trash as the one left in my dumpster. I could not recycle my empty water bottles today!
Desired outcome: Someone should speak, call, email, or write my neighbor so that their employees don't dump their trash in my dumpster.
local trash service
My regular trash day is Thursday. I have had my trash at the curb every day since June 2nd. It is now the June 10th on a Friday after 3:00 p.m, they don't pick up trash on weekends, so this means I am going to be on my 3rd week next week. My trash has sat there every day in the hot sun, and through 2 storms. It smells bad and flies are all over it, my neighbors are complaining. I only have a small container, 64 gallons, so by the next pick up it will be overflowing. I have called every day and emailed every day. For several days they wouldn't even answer the phones. The past 3 days they have and every day the same thing, they tell me they will get it that day, but then they don't and I have to go through this all over again. What can I do? I need this trash picked up. I am the only one on this street they service and I think they just don't want to mess with coming here. I don't want credits, I want the trash service I have paid for.
