Shipping and customer service
I all the furniture for my business online. This is the worst experience I've ever had. They didn't arrive when expected I called the company for month, they told me the shipping company missed the pick up at their warehouse. The customer emailed me and said they would put our order and hot load and switch the Carrier. Customer service never say sorry to us and blame it to the carrier. I never understand when we pay them the money and they do not care if we will get the order or not. Bad service bad shipping bad company. Never again.
Restaurant Chairs and stools
Restaurantfurniture.net (amongst the other names it goes by) is the most unprofessional and inept company I have ever worked with. I have been incredibly patient with them, as they've missed "promised deadlines' by months and months, because life is difficult with the pandemic. But they cannot get orders right. They have sent our items to the wrong location multiple times, they have sent the wrong items to us multiple times, they have gotten quantities wrong, they have forgotten pieces of orders, and they have sent us damaged goods. It is single handedly the worst vendor experience I have ever had in my life. They always say "sorry we will fix this", but they don't fix it, they screw more things up and have more excuses. The main contact in the company will not even speak to me, "Tommy", because he wants to pawn it off on his subordinates because he could not do his job properly. They are holding over $30,000 of money for a delivery they missed and promised to recredit when I had to find an alternative supplier. I have had problems with them for OVER AN ENTIRE YEAR.
BUYER BEWARE- whatever you do, find another company. They are incompetent and unprofessional, unethical and likely you will be screwed out of money.
Desired outcome: Refund what they never sent and reimburse us for the items we had to come out of pocket for due to their errors.
Incorrect Order, Terrible Customer Service
Reading these five star reviews, something seems off. I am here to warn anyone thinking of using this company for your restaurant furniture to save your time and money. Shop elsewhere! I ordered round ‘all-wood’ butcher block tables with x-prong foot rest table bases. The problems began when we received the bases without footrests. After contacting the company, they told us the footrests were not available. I had had several conversations with the company prior to shipping when I could have been told this. I told them I would have ordered something else if the bases I wanted with footrests were not available. They have already refunded the cost of the footrests but told me I would have to pay the shipping cost to return the incorrect bases. Why should I have to pay to return a product that was incorrectly sent to me?
Next, the bases we ordered were not suitable for the tops; they wobbled terribly. While, yes, they sent me what I ordered, if upon review of my order, there wasn’t someone to say, hey- these bases are not going to work with these tops, let’s call the customer?!?! I looked at their online guide and ordered a size base that indicates it would fit with the size table top ordered. According to their terms and conditions, they had no obligation to check sales orders and after the fact, do the right thing.
Also, one of the ‘solid wood’ round tables has what appears to be wood filler along the edge; it has chipped right off. Pictures were sent to the company, weekly emails sent asking for resolution only to be told they are ‘waiting to hear from their QA Department’. Still no resolution.
Lastly, customer service. There is something fishy about this company. They just about refuse to speak to you on the phone, always saying any resolution has to come in the form of an email. Then those emails are ignored. Countless attempts have been made to get this company to do the right thing. Run. Run away fast from this company and spend your money elsewhere.
Desired outcome: This company should be out of business.

Poor service, false advertising
BE WARY, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE...
Ordered products that listed 7-14 day shipping time: No contact from them until nearly 4 weeks later when I was told they only had 7/10 in stock.. I confirmed I still wanted them, they refunded the difference, and said they would process the order. A week after I was told my order would be processed I'm now told that the price has increased (despite still being advertised online as the same.. False advertising?)..
This business also represents itself under the names affordableseating(dot)net, seatingmasters(dot)com, and restaurant-furniture(dot)com.
The GOOD news is that they promptly cancelled my order when I was unhappy with their service... I would recommend purchasing from another unaffiliated retailer.
shipped wrong chairs, won't accept return
I Ordered 8 aluminum bamboo chairs in black, shipped to a rental house in Florida. We live in Colorado so it was 3 months until we got to the house to unpack the chairs and they were fire engine red. When contacted they refused to replace due to the time since delivery and that the boxes had been signed for. The management company signed for delivery and the boxes were not damaged in any way so they did not open to make sure that they company would ship the correct color of chair. Apparently RestaurantFurniture.net either thinks the chairs changed colors after delivery or that due to the time delay they are not responsible for shipping the wrong chairs. I can understand if the the red chairs had been discontinued, but that is not the case. BIG $700+ mistake on my part to think they would correct their mistake. Live, learn, pick better venders.
chairs, tables
I spend 2k in my order for my business.
Shipping take like. Month with any appologice. I this point I knew something was wrong but that was lake. Invoice was already paid.
When I received the items chair came rusty, scratches and the sit was totally different from the picture in the internet.
I make the point to the manager David. He refused to change my order, and he said the best he can do is send me a scratch kit and send me 4 new sits. Do you imagine this I spend money in new items and now I got stock with this. I did this order in dicember las years and 3 days ago I got the remplace sit and the scratched kit.
When I open after this nightmare the sit they send are totally different and the supposed scratches kit was a spray bottle paint form Home Depot for.99 cents and the spray don't even The same. I send a email back to David the manager and he send me a nasty email saying he don't do nothing else trying to blame his mediocre job.
Now I got stok with:
1- rusty chairs
2- scratches tables
3- different sits
4- different color sits
Plus they send me an email saying they will make equal the price for the other company plus they will give axtra 10%
I have the email proved. But David said he can't do it.
This company is the worst option believe me.
Contact me and I will forward all the pictures and you decide!

Disgusted by this company's conduct!
I will be writing numerous reviews online to help others avoid this scam of a company.
We noticed that 3 weeks after our confirmed delivery date, our order was never delivered. Come to find out that is because they did not even produce the stools in the first place! They took our money, provided a ship date of February 8th, confirmed the ship date by phone on the day, but clearly this was a hoax as no merchandise was ever produced. Had I not followed up with them, we never would have discovered this, as no one made contact with me and even knew what had happened until I very persistently contacted them.
After hours and days of trying to reach anyone in this business I finally managed to contact Maria who up to this point had been very helpful. She had no idea that there was even an issue, as clearly she had not checked if this order was completed. No remedial actions or solutions were offered to help us meet our shipping deadline, except to start the production all over again and have us just wait again and hope that this time the chairs would actually be made. I was asking questions about an exact ship date and any other options, as well as the exact ship dates of those. At this point, she told me that she could not help me anymore that day because she was going home in 10 minutes and didn't want to make any more calls. At that point I started to get upset at being blatantly disrespected and basically ignored and I asked/begged/demanded to speak with her supervisor, Alberto Cohen. She informed me that she could not get him on the phone, so I asked for his email address which she declined to provide, instead trying to lead me towards the generic sales email address, which I know from experience, goes to multiple people and is often ignored as there is clearly no accountability. Eventually, she gave in and low-and-behold Alberto magically appeared on the other end of the phone. He then very rudely informed me that he will not do business with us and when I reminded him that they had already taken payment he said that he will return our money and hung up on me.
Needless to say, this disgusting situation has me thinking that we are better off taking our business somewhere else anyways. I feel terrible for our special-order customer, as this company has put him in a terrible position with the opening of his restaurant. We will work hard to find a replacement for him, because that is what a decent, respectable, honest company does when situations go awry. RestaurantFurniture.net should take note of that!
Cross back metal chairs
I ordered chairs from their website because the website quoted "Free Shipping" AND while placing my order their system had me put in my zip code to estimate shipping and the shipping estimate was $0. After I gave them my cc# and thought I had placed an order, I received an email saying a csr would contact me within 3 hours. Why? to tell me that they don't ship for free to California and I would have to pay an additional $$ for shipping. I refused and told them they needed to honor their promise. After many phone calls and emails, they have found a substitute chair in their California warehouse that they can ship for free, but the chair is more expensive. I am reporting them to the Federal Trade Commission and the California Attorney General.
Tables and chairs
Deceiving website, terrible customer service, bait and switch.
Oh how I wish I would have seen this site before I ordered!
I ordered chairs and the ones that came were not even the chairs that I ordered. I was told they would ship out in 2 weeks...I got them in 8 weeks. I actually like the chairs that were sent in error, however, that might not have been the case. 2 of the seats are now defective and I can't get them to replace them. Their customer service is terrible. They probably can't even keep up with it I am guessing. They keep telling me that they will have an answer tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow...Hello-the chairs are broken-send replacements!
The tables that came in were 1 1/4 inch thick-not the 1 1/2 spec on the website. Customer service acknowledged that yes, they can't get the thickness of the wood required...not funny how they took my money anyway without informing me regarding this. Bait and switch is what it is called. Several of the tables have warped within a week of install. Most of the tables have defective finish. Paper was imbedded in finish. We thought we could merely damped it and get it off, but it was actually imbedded in the finish. Also, if the table gets water on it, you end up with white spots or delamination...much like when regular furniture gets those white rings.
The tables also are assembled with huge hunking cleats that have huge unfinished splinter causing edges. These are not stated as being part of the table on the website. Ugly site line. Such a shame as the wood of the tables is beautiful.
2 of the chairs I ordered are falling apart. They keep blowing me off on the replacement for those as well. I was told that the tables were taking priority. Apparently they can only handle 1 thing at a time.
They constantly ignored my requests telling me they would get back to me in a couple hours or the next day by email. They never did. I always had to initiate the contact. I think they would have just ignored me until I told them...after them ignoring my many emails, that I was going to report them to the FTC.
I would urge others that have the same kind of problems to report them. Perhaps they might take integrity seriously. Better Business Bureau is next.
Their answer to rectify the problem is for me to uninstall the tables and pack them up( for them) put them on palates and send them back to them. Now, why would I want to do this for them when they are the ones who knowingly sent defective product? They will then issue a refund. I can't even imagine how long it would take for a refund to be issued.
The website is very deceiving. Beware!
System glitch and wrong item delivered
We placed an order (ord #[protected]) through their online website for a 36" high booth for my customer on 1/22/2016. The order confirmation showed everything being correct. We called back later to add a lift gate service to the delivery because this option was not available through the website. on the evening of 2/1, I received a call from my customer who is 200 miles away, that the booth is the wrong height.
When we contacted them on 2/2, we were told that the error is on our end for placing the wrong order. We are responsible for paying return freight if we want a refund on the order. To expedite the process of getting a new booth to our customer while we sort things out with this company, we had to place a separate order for the correct booth. This is when things got very, very frustrating. To begin, they do not have the 36" booth in stock. It is back ordered for 3 month! We have to pay an addl. $40 to have it "custom" made if we don't want to wait.
When we back tracked our paperwork, we saw that we did place the order correctly via the email confirmation on 1/21. We called them back on 2/4 to explain this to them and forwarded to them the email as proof that we did place the order correctly. We were told that their policy is such that "customers receive emails with a link to approve each order" before "production" begins.
The person I spoke to, after 4 phone calls later, admitted to the fact that there is a human being who takes web order information from an external system and input into their internal system to generate a "confirmation" which they use to put the onus on the customer to do their job for them, e.g. to check and correct the human error they introduce. If we had called to place an order with a live customer rep, the process is completely different.
My experience with internet order is that, if an order was placed correctly, the few things that can go wrong are: someone shipped the wrong item, an item is damaged during shipping, or the delivery company goofed. I had never heard of this process of "human translation" from one system to another. The whole point of placing orders by web is to remove human error. Yet this company purposely introduces a point where human error can happen and they expect you to correct their mistakes!
The conclusions I can draw from this experience are as following:
1. they do not have the 36" booth as we ordered to begin with
2. they are not willing to own up to their portion of the responsibility, albeit they made an error inputting our order into their system
3. the booth we ordered were stock items, yet they want us to approve things for "production" as if they are custom.
Finally, their customer service rep Abe is very rude to us. He refused to provide information we requested such as the approval email they kept saying to us. The manager Julie is just as short, and repeat the same statement that "they only go by approved orders". No one in the company would even address the fact that they were the ones introduced the mistake in the first place.
As an interior design firm doing both residential and commercial projects, my firm deals with hundreds of vendors. I can honestly say this company is the least helpful and utterly lacking in customer service. Without saying, I won't be ordering from this company again. I'd rather pay more and work with a reputable company with good customer service and attitude.
Shipment/customer service
I buy a lot of things for my business online. This is the worst experience I've ever had.
I bought 20 barstools on my credit card, when they didn't arrive when expected I called the company, they told me the shipping company had lost half of my order in their warehouse. The owner emailed me and said they would remedy the problem immediately. Two months went by with no less than 15 phone calls to the company. I then asked them to refund my card, which they said would be done by the end of the week, when that didn't happen I filed a dispute with my card provider. Two weeks later half of my order arrives. The bases for the chairs but no seats. I refused the shipment, called the company and got the run around one more time. A month later the card company gets my refund. Bad service bad shipping bad company. Never again.
service
I wish I had read web reviews before ordering. My order was delivered 4 weeks late (and I found out it would be late only when I called them to see why it hadn't arrived on the promised date). When it did arrive, the wooden chair seats were not even close to the color shown on their website. Their response was that it was my browser or screen, but every screen I've checked looks the same. And they were rude to me as well; they did not care that I was an unhappy customer.

delivery delay and refuse to cancel
I placed the order on July 4th 2012. I was told 3 weeks to get it done all the time. Then I put Aug 9th as the delivery time to give them some extra time. And this is confirmed on July 19th that they can make it. Then nothing happened, and when I ask them, they say Aug 17th. On Aug 17th, nothing happened, they say no later than Aug 24th. On Aug 24th, you can guess, they say next week, Aug 30th. And they don't even allow me to cancel order. This greatly delayed the opening of our business. They never feel sorry and called me and threatened me. This company treat customers without respect. Very disappointed.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I ordered 4 barstools with fabric seating and 6 matching chairs. I received the barstools minus the fabric seating (got wood seating). Called the company and they asked for us to fax the lading slip that we signed. In fact, we did not sign it and it was not presented for signature.
At that point, they said that we were correct and they would send the chairs and the fabric seats for the barstools. This is six weeks later and despite over twenty telephone calls and assurances that they would send the rest of our order, they have not done so.
Now, they refuse to take our telephone calls. We are our over $500 and they do nothing to correct the problem.
I have placed an order for over $25, 000, paid an "expedited" fee to have my order by a certain date. I am now a week past the promised delivery date and they keep telling my that my order is in the warehouse and will be shipped tomorrow. They have been telling me this daily for a week. They cannot/will not provide me with a tracking number or the name of the company that ships for them.
Still waiting.
I disagree - I purchased from them many times without any problems.
They are Scam Artists. I have very similar situation... Will Never ever do business with them...
But, For now I am out of my $450... Will be also complaining to Better Bureau...
Do yourself a favor and stay away from these people...
Well the thing that bothers me is that you didn't recieve a shipping slip... Looks like a bogus complaint to me... Every shipping company lets you sign some sort of a document as a proof of delivery, the fact that you didn't get one like VERY odd to me.
Terrible company.
horrible business practices
Horrible, horrible service. This is not a professionally run company. They told me weeks after they had cashed my check and a week after they told me my order would be sent that they didn't have my product. They delayed my opening and cost me $$$. Were they apologetic? Nope. They offered no compensation to the fact that they had screwed up my order and...
