My partner kashif mahmood had been charged £19 for 2months knw from rewardsnow.co.uk from his account and a dd had been set up and we don't know how and how they have hot our details. But we would like our money back please and got this matter to be delay with ASAP. We don't know how u got the account information from but taking money from someone else's account is illegal without permission, therefore we would like our money back and the dd to be cancelled as we did not agree to this. Would be grateful if u could reply to my message and deal with this matter.

Rewardsnow.co.uk Illegal deductions from my account

I have just noticed that Rewardsnow.co.uk have been taking £19.95 from my savings account illegally using my debit card details and without my authorisation since Septembeer 2011 meaning they have taken nearly £140. My bank say there is nothing they can do to stop this. I have emailed rewardsnow and instructed them stop the payments but have not heard back from them. I would welcome any help you can give me in raising a complaint against this company.

What you need to do is read the T&C of the sites you're ordering from. If they are fraudulent charges ( which I highly doubt ) dispute the charges with your bank. Better yet, stay off the net and don't watch infomercials.

common sensen and good, genuine practice tells me i should have been clearly infomed about this rewards now nonsense

Update by P.C.

Its a pity banks cannot do anything about this, scary! i signed for a quick credit score trial period, couldent get through to cancel before trial period expired only to realise on my statement that they took money off my account with another company i couldnt even dream of signing to, rewardsnow. I lost two paymentrs of 19.95 from my account all in one week. i never signed for this rewards now, not even interested. its not fair and scary when companies just wreck yoyurb accoiunt like that unchecked. Someon has got to stop this. There are a lot of people complaining about this, could we all be fabricating stories? Definitely NO! Its not fair, someone's got to stop these people which am under the impression work together cause when i tried to cancel this quick credit score business, the sam call centre stated they were able to also stop payments to rewards now- so they are the one who took the money without authorisation in the very first instance. Common sense tell me that once you sign up for the credit score trial period, you are automatically signing for the rewards now rubbish...£40 pounds in one month unbudgeted for and for services not required is surely a million punds to some of us. Obviously my bank said they could not stop it as it is a card payment...SOMEONE STOP THESE PEOPLE. I have been left with no choice but to close my bank account which I had for years as advised by my bank, next time they take the money unauthorised, still the bank cannot do nothing.

This has happened to me aswell i signed up for a feww trial and they said not to worry we will not take any money out your account its just to verify your identity, i couldnt actually access my credit score atall either so i forgot about the whole thing only to realise before xmas just gone they had taken nearlly 300 pound in payments from my account for the last 7-8 months i had not notices the two payments every month one for credit socre 19.95 and the other one for rewards now for 19.95... i cant belive the banks can not do anything about this, my bank has got the money back for me they put it straight into my account the next day as i reported it as fraud... advice toanyone dont tell them you gave them your card details as they will put you through to chargebacks section who can take months to get your momney back and probably dont in the end because of the small print, when you call your bank report it as fraud and say you have not got a clue what either transactions are about and that you have never agreed to any of this... this is when it becomes fraud and the situation is taken more seriously... they tried to argue with me about this aswell even my own bank it took me 20 minutes of demanding to speak to a manager and assuring them that i had not aurtharised the transacrtions that they then accepted it as a fraud case... they put the money straight back into my account the next day as it was fraud and i have not heard anythign since... this rewards now and credit score matters must have a processing bank to take card payments which wil be either hsbc streamline world pay or barcleys, and with the amounf of complaints they are getting if you look into it and see what they are doing it is easy to see that they are screwing people... bout do you know why their bank wont close their card processing facility down because they are probably screwing hundreds of thousands of people out of hundereds of thousands of pounds and half the people probably accept the losss and do nothing, the banks dont care because they are probably making god knows how much a year in processing fees from the scam... if their processing bank actually gave a f**ck then they would block their merchant accoutn from trading... its total corruption the world revolves around money... its quite simple you have to act on it yourself dont put your card details anywhere every on the internet unless its on a well know site.

Rewardsnow.co.uk £19.95 taken twice on same day

I looked at my bank statement yesterday and noticed the above companies had taken out the same amount £19.95 from my account. In no way shape or form did i ever agree to this money being taken out. I have now emailed them with my complaint and my bank will be investigating them, i also informed them that if this is not resolved i will be forwarding my email to my solicitor and i will be getting in touch with The Office of Fair Trading and my local papers and radio stations to inform people of their SCAM! I am fuming that they can even do such a thing when it says free trial.

same here signed up to creditscorematters cancelled within the free trial period and was I'mmediately taken to rewardsnow.co.uk were i just clicked x to get it off my screen, next thing you know I'm looking on my online banking 19.95 taken from rewardsnow.co.uk contacted my bank asked to speak with the fraud department were i was told this scam is actually legal, after i googled this matter i then realised that this free trial ### more common than i thought.

i check my emails every day and i am 150% sure i did not receive a confirmation email from rewardsnow at all let alone a confirmation email of this so called scheme id call it a SCAM.

i double checked all deleted emails and absolutely nothing from rewards.co.uk was sent to me from the day i signed up to creditscorematters right up to today

there is nothing in the terms and conditions stating that if i submit i will automatically be sighed up to some other trial that will take money from my account if i do not cancel within a tI'me lI'mit,

caused me allot of inconvenience having to cancel my bank card and wait up to 7 working days to receive a new one even if i do get my money back i will still make complaints to watchdog, oft because this scam needs to stop now.

just had the same done to myself! only by looking at my bank account was this noticed. i cancelled to credit score matters within the trial period so no money was taken by them. but unaware that i had signed up for rewardsnow.co.uk when i said no thanks they took £19.95 from my account. visited site and looked through terms and conditions and it states if you have not used the site or gained anything from it i.e purchases then if you cancel within the first 30 days then you shall be refunded. As its weekend cannot contact by phone so have left them an email and a message demanding my money back. Will let you know how i get on

This happened to me today. In the same day as signing up to creditscorematters i cancelled it! I have no record of signing up to rewardsnow.co.uk and remember pressing the 'no thank you' button so how does that give them the right to withdraw £19.95 from my account?

I have also experienced infuriating problems from creditscorematters.com. I did put in my details for a free trial with credit score matters, however I did not recieve a conformation email saying that I had been signed up and so assumed that I had not been given the trial. I thought that I had incorrectly filled in the form somewhere and thought nothing more of it because there was no conformation email.
I recently checked though my bank statements to find that I have been charged by them for 3 months. I rang the customer service helpline who assured me that a conformation email had been sent to me. The woman on the phone said she was "150% sure" that the conformation email had been sent at the time and that I had received it (how she would know that I an not sure). Following this conversation I conceded that it may have been possible that I had signed up properly for a membership without realizing. I asked for a conformation for the cancellation of the membership and for credit score matters to re-send the original conformation of membership email that I had apparently received previously. I have received the cancellation email, but still I have NEVER seen a conformation of membership email, or ANYTHING that gave me any conformation that I had a membership with them at all. I have checked through all my spam and deleted emails. I have checked every email address I own and still nothing.
I think it is absolutely ridiculous that I am expected to pay £60 for a service that I NEVER used, did not ask for and had no way of knowing I had been signed up for.

Toni,

the same Scam happened to me this morning, £19.95 from Rewardsnow, a company i have had no communication from, no confirmation email, no membership id, nothing at all.

I cancelled my membership with Credit Score Matters, and received confirmation of this, so i thought that was the end of it.

Then out of the blue Rewards Now pop up and steal £19.95 from me.

I will be taking this further, as my bank, citizens advice and trading standards agree this is fraud.

Thoughts?

Hi Debmunch

I work with Adaptive Affinity Ltd which operates the Credit Score Matters - just like to follow up on your and my colleagues previous post

Regarding your comment about signing up for Rewards Now, once you sign up for Credit rating we then offer you a further trail with Rewards Now. As with all other email we clearly state on the right hand side in bold, and a reasonable size font the following text;

Thank you... please claim your reward — a FREE £10 Cash Back and FREE TRIAL membership* to Rewards Now programme! (Click here for £10.00 Cash Back details). Normal Price £19.95 per month, if you cancel within the first 30 days you pay nothing.

We clearly let the user know that this is an additional programme and if you choose not to sign up all anyone has to do is click on “No Thanks” located under the “yes” button. A screenshot of which I’d be more than happy to send.

You would have also received a welcome email for Rewards Now and when/if you cancelled for the credit program our Customer Service team will let you know that you have an additional membership with us and ask if you’d like to cancel this one as well.

If this is not what happened to you – then please write in to contact@creditratingmatters.co.uk marking it for my attention and I will be more than happy to investigate.

I look forward to your reply.

Kind Regards

Toni Morrison

This also happened to me recently! Absolutely nowhere did it say that they would take £19.95 out of my account along with another £19.95 from another website called rewardsnow.co.uk. I subscribed to the 'free' trial for a credit check for which I received and then subsequently cancelled so that I wouldn't get charged the £19.95 monthly fee. Little did I know my details would be passed to a third party 'Rewardsnow.co.uk' who have now taken £19.95 with no authorisation from myself to do so. I have checked the terms and conditions and cannot see anywhere that I was also subscribing to this third party and needed to cancel with both.
If I hadn't checked my account they would have continued to take £19.95 a month out!
I can't believe they are getting away with this. I have read several forums and it seems it is not only me this is happening to and it has been happening for several years! I am in the process of trying to get a refund but if unsuccessful I shall be going to OFT, Watchdog and anyone else to try to get this stopped! To me this is internet fraud and shouldn't be allowed!

TO ADAPTIVE AFFINITY LTD, I only input my details to sign up to a 'free trial' credit check and understood that I would have to cancel if I was not to be charged £19.95. What I was not aware of is that I was also signing up to Rewardsnow.co.uk! and they also would take £19.95 per month! If this is the case then you need to spell this out clearly so this does not happen to other unsuspecting customers! It seems to be happening a lot as even my bank knew about this company and this 'scam'!

I have also received this charge. I signed up for my credit report with www.creditcheckinstantly.co.uk which created an account with www.creditscorematters.co.uk, I cancelled the subscription, the next day, using the button on your website that says "Cancel Subscription". I did not agree to a subscription to rewardsnow and definitely did not agree to being charged 19.95. I also have had no subscription information from rewardsnow and had never heard of this website until I noticed it on my bank statement.

Please tell me at what point in signing up with www.creditcheckinstantly.co.uk did would I of agreed to a subscription to rewardsnow.co.uk ?

This company have now taken £19.95 from my bank account on two occasions. They have done this by "scamming" a genuine on line company through Equifax. Even though you cancel Equifax, there is no way, unless you have a PHD, to cancel Rewards Now. I have managed to get in touch and they tell you that they can`t issue your money back, even though they are...

Rewardsnow.co.uk Taking money without authority

I went to check myt credit rating last year July with HIGHCREDITSCORE I noticed that I was also being charged £29.95 and another set of charges of £29.95 from REWARDSNOW then later I noticed another set of charges of £6.99 by CREDITEXPERT I wondered why I had been charged with these amounts as I signed up for a FREE TRIAL giving my debit card as reference and since then have paid a considerable amount of money.
I cancelled the accounts with both HIGHCREDITSCORE/CREDITEXPERT but did not think of REWRDSNOW having just seen these amounts going out of my account rang my Bank to cancell this account and have changed my debit card.
How do I go about getting my money back ?
Yours faithfully
Anthony Perry

Rewardsnow.co.uk Taking Money from my account!!

My partner went on to a site to check her credit rating which didnt even happen instead we get a company called "Rewards Now" taking £19.95 from our account every month!

I have researched this and there are alot of people that feel as though they have been scammed by this company, I have contacted Halifax who we are with and have made a complaint, I also read out many complaints from this website down the phone to her. The lady I spoke to said that she has heard of these people before and she is going to pass on details to a team that deals with this kind of thing.

Lets hope whoever is behind this has a nasty accident and dies.

Rewardsnow.co.uk unauthorized charge

Hi Everyone!

I have considered myself to be 'street wise' but unfortunately I have been caught by this bogus company.

At first, I have required 'free' credit score providing my debit or credit card details - looks normal, where in case of equifax, that was not a bit of a surprise. The moment I have received details on my emails from highcreditscore.co.uk - I have realised - IT DOES NOT LOOK RIGHT! but - I have clearly DID NOT realised that I have been subscribed as 'a special invitation' to rewardsnow.co.uk, of which email or possibility HAVE NOT RECEIVED or HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE to opt-out. This happened on 25th August 2009 and I have immediately unregistered from highcreditscore. co.uk at once!

Now, we are in December, right, and checking my statement on daily basis, I have realised they have charged me for four months after four months for £79.80! Obviously this happened without my authorisation which I have immediately reported to my bank.
Phoned number on my statement. Woman on the other side seemed like she just got up of the bed! Ignorant and arrogant!

Beside this, being a web developer and designer, also accountancy student I certainly DO NOT agree with unethical practices by this company - Adaptive Affinity Ltd - whose roots reach U.S.A.

For that reason I have been prompted, and therefore decided to found a web service, that WILL be dedicated for misleading web services operating under UK Law. Obviously, I am going to devote my spare time and resources for research by contacting lawyers, organisations and trading bodies for verification and explanation why this kind and other services are being allowed to function and CATCH us, internet users. In addition to that I am going to verify 'existing' shops if they participate with this kind of schedule and on what basis.
Also I will contact banks and credit card companies, fraud prevention bodies and definitely media to help find the right answers and solutions to prevent these companies to run without responsibility on the e-commerce market.

Obviously, this cannot happen without YOU, who has been caught, or know someone who has been caught.

I would appreciate your comments and cases (I don't need personal details). Unless we can unite our strength and resources.

Please e-mail me if you feel or have been conned? If you know someone that was conned online? The more information we have the bigger case we have and more chance to expose the bogus, misleading e-commerce 'services' that DOES NOT EXIST.

IF YOU KNOW ANY OTHER BOGUS ON-LINE WEBSITE, SERVICES OR COMPANIES THAT DOES NOT EXIST?

Please feel free to e-mail me and forward this e-mail to your contacts.
Write to me about your experience.

Kind Regards

Anna
