Riviera Pools of Tampa They could not provide the design we signed contract for and when we didn't want to change they refused to give back our deposit We hired

They could not provide the design we signed contract for and when we didn't want to change they refused to give back our deposit We hired Riviera Pools after agreeing on their plan and design. We gave them two surveys and signed the contract. With no communication i personally checked online two months later to find out that the permit had been denied due to an easement. When i called them their option was to make the pool area even smaller than we were already settling for. We declined and they refused to give back our Deposit or even call me to communicate. We signed a contract based on a mutually agreed upon design and they cannot provide what we signed or what they offered. We want or money back, just want them to be fair and communicate

We are 10 months into pool build by Riviera. No work gets done until I reach out and complain. This week I was "promised" a part of the build would be completed by today, and NO ONE showed up. The run around is unacceptable and unprofessional. Our pool needs to be finished!

I contracted with Riviera Pools of Tampa to build a pool in 4. I also had a house built on the property at the same time, and the goal was for both the pool and the house to be completed as close together as possible. Given the global situation with covid, both projects had their ups/downs as well as significant delays with the house not finishing up until 2, and the pool technically being "swimmable" in March. Riviera Pools is going above and beyond to not finish their work. There is a broken pipe that constantly drains water from my pool that has yet to be properly fixed (diagnosed 4/30), 2/3 light features were the incorrect type, and the some of the yard needs to be re-sod. Sod is needed around the perimeter of the deck where they flipped over sod that was already there (now dead) to paint/stucco the deck wall, and an area where sod could not be placed because they left materials there. They tried to send someone to fix the pipe over a holiday weekend without checking

I hired Riviera to build a pool May. By November they still hadn't started any work. I tried calling and going to talk in person and kept getting the run around. I gave them 7,500.00 deposit. They refused to give me any part of my deposit back. After contacting my attorney I decided to take a settlement of 1862.50. I still haven't received it. Please help!

Riviera Pools of Tampa Company is very destructive and will not repair anything that they destroy

Company is very destructive and will not repair anything that they destroy. Left with tons of repairs out of pocket after contracting them. I hired this company in May , work began the end of July. I was patient due to COVID. When you sign the contract they don't verbalize how destructive they are. And give you the 1st page and last page to initial. I have my copy in which my initials are only on page 1 & page 4. So I never signed or initialed the hidden inside pages & realized that after they told me that destruction was part of their contract when I complained about their destruction. After 40 years in business you would think they would be clear in going through their contracts & explaining the extra thousands they could cost you after hiring them. Instead they break everything and tell you that somewhere on their contract is simply states they are not responsible for what they break, but they only have you initial the sign & the 1st and last page, and the destruction part is listed in the middle 2 pages somewhere, because I am still trying to find where it says they can destroy your irrigation system and not repair it. My home is brand new built in 2018, they broke my sidewalk, they destroyed the sod, they took my brand new fence down and left it on the floor never to put it back, they also destroyed my irrigation system. They are so destructive that they had to come repair their own bullnose pavers on my brand new pool that themselves cracked during construction of my pool. They also had to have my pool drained after I first was told to fill it in order to repair the interior plaster color which was a blotchy color, I then had to have it filled again so I ended up having to pay 2 large water bills, after filling it my pool kept losin water and I complained and then they found a leak which they also had to repair. During construction they also broke a door hinge on my brand new screen enclosure door which they had to repair after I showed them also. 40 years in business and you would think they would be more cautious and responsible. Everyone told me to contact the owner with the repair complaints including the person who referred them to me, who then told me they had a similar issue with them but her sidewalk was actually repaired by them. So my thought is that they pick and choose what customers they want to help repair things they break for. I have already come out of my pocket to repair the sidewalk and my brand new fence that I had to put back up after they took it down. I called the company asking if they could please help with the irrigation system repair and they said no, I am willing to repair my own sod but it is not fair that I already had to repair my sidewalk, have to repair my sod, my irrigation system, my fence, plus they've costed me 2 large water bills due to their leak in my pool, they were fully paid for in December and I financed through Lyons. I regret having given them 4 stars on Lyons review paperwork, and also sadly having referred them to other people who signed contracts with them without first knowing about their destructive ways. I must add Scott was great and very helpful but unfortunately he has no say in when it comes to helping out the customer with what the company destroys. Everyone sends me back to Bill (the owner) but he just sends me names of people that may do these repairs for me but is unwilling to help with the repairs himself. I attached the 2 middle pages of my contract that were not signed or initialed by me just to show that this contract was not properly explained. Only page 1 & page 4 are signed & initialed.

Riviera Pools of Tampa Riviera Pools sold me alarms that are incompatible with my pool, and **** not provide a refund

Riviera Pools sold me alarms that are incompatible with my pool, and *** not provide a refund. I signed a contract with Riviera Pools, in October, to build a pool. At the time of purchase, we selected 2 Safeguard In-Ground Pool Alarms (PGRM-2). We were required, by Riviera Pools, to purchase some kind of safety feature. We chose this one because it was the least obstructive option, and was the most user-friendly. We notified Riviera Pools, in early July , after the pool build was theoretically complete, that the child safety alarms, which are intended to alert when a disturbance of the water is detected, were going off frequently without a water disturbance. We initially reported this issue to Riviera's employee, Scott, in person. Scott told me that they would get it figured out, with management. Nothing was done, so I put it in writing to Riviera on July 28. Riviera did not respond or take action on this email. Finally, on September 9, Riviera agreed to meet with us and start working on the alarm issue, as well as a myriad of other problems that hadn't been addressed for months. During the week of October 5, Riviera's employee, Scott, told me that they commonly have issues with the combination of these particular alarms and the type of floor jets we have, which were an upgrade that Riviera's salesman, Bob, recommended at purchase. The only potential solution suggested by Riviera was a fence around the pool. Riviera didn't offer to look around for other options, just take it or leave it. I told Scott that I would get my own alarms, and Riviera could just refund the alarms that they knew had issues. He told me that he would let management know, because that decision wasn't his to make. I found alarms that work with floor jets, so I ordered them and they work perfectly. I've asked Riviera for a refund three times and they haven't responded. I have two small children, and couldn't jeopardize their safety any longer. Riviera had months to remedy the situation, and didn't. Finally, I had to step in and protect my family. The constant worry of an accident became too much. Riviera knowingly put my family at risk, for several months, by misleading us into believing that the pool alarms had to be adjusted/recalibrated in order to work properly. We could have easily come to an amicable solution, if they would have been forthright and acted swiftly. We have asked for a copy of the itemized contract, that we signed, at purchase. Riviera's owner, Bill M., acknowledged our request on September 9, but has still failed to provide it to us. He told us that they might not have kept the records, even though our pool is not complete. This invoice is needed to determine the appropriate refund. Riviera must provide this contract in order to resolve this issue. I have had repeated issues getting responses and action from Riviera Pools to address their mistakes and shortcomings. They hired a subcontractor to install a finish that they knew had issues (Riviera's employee Tim, and the installer, Brent, both blamed the salesman, Bob, for selling us an inferior product out of greed). It took many nasty emails, and threats of legal action before they finally acknowledged the issue with the finish, and agreed to redo it properly. It has been a year since we signed a contract with Riviera Pools and 8 months since the initial build was completed. At this point, we still have several other complaints and outstanding issues that Riviera hasn't addressed. It seems that once Riviera had received all of our installment payments, they moved on to other projects and haven't prioritized fixing our issues to our satisfaction and gave up on their obligation to provide us with appropriate, and functional, safety equipment.
