Avoid Rock Auto Parts: Poor Customer Service and Double Charges
So, my experience with Rock Auto Parts was less than stellar to say the least. They might have a lot of car parts available but it's all digital and there's nobody to talk to when you need help. It's like talking to the wall sometimes.
I've had to deal with a defective part from them before and even though it was their mistake, I had to pay for return shipping myself. That's not a good way to do business if you ask me. Then, it took weeks before they sent me a new one. That's basically holding my car hostage.
What's worse is sometimes they charge you twice for the same part! They'll say it's because you didn't send it back in the original packaging or they determine it's your fault. It's always something to screw you over and keep your money.
Honestly, I'm fed up with them and I won't be using them again. I'd rather spend a few extra dollars and get it from Amazon or eBay where I know I'll get good service and the right product. So, if you want to save yourself some headaches, avoid Rock Auto Parts at all costs.
Terrible Customer Service Experience with Rock Auto Parts - Beware!
So, I had some trouble with my package from Rock Auto Parts. It disappeared for a bit and I was freaking out trying to tell them what happened. It took me forever to get in touch with someone and when I did, they just said "deal with it." What kind of service is that?! They say they have low prices 'cause they don't have a customer service department, but come on, there's gotta be someone around to help us out. I even tried going to the BBB and got the same old response: "oh well, it's not our problem." They refused to give me my money back or take back the brakes I got from them. It's just not cool.
Disappointing Experience with Rock Auto's Water Pump - Beware of Poor Packaging and Quality Control!
So, I was looking to get a water pump for my 2007 F150 and ended up on Rock Auto Parts' website. I placed my order and eagerly awaited the arrival of the pump.
When the package finally showed up at my door, I was pretty excited to get started on the repair. However, that excitement turned to disappointment pretty quickly when I saw the state of the box. It was completely destroyed and there was no packing material to protect the contents inside.
Despite the poor packaging, I decided to open the box and inspect the water pump. After taking a closer look, I noticed that the bearing was bad and it was making a lot of noise. This was definitely not what I was expecting, especially from a Gates brand pump.
I thought that maybe the first pump was just a fluke and decided to do a warranty return/replace. Unfortunately, my hopes were quickly dashed when the replacement pump arrived in the same condition as the first! It was clearly stamped as "made in China," which made me think that the quality control wasn't very good.
At this point, I decided to cut my losses and just get an OE pump instead. I definitely won't be using Rock Auto again and I've made sure to tell anyone who will listen about my bad experience. Returns were a huge pain and the customer service was non-existent. I tried calling several times, but I was never able to get a human on the phone. It's just not worth the hassle for me.
It was so fast and easy! Great experience. This service saved a lot of my time! I easily renewed my driver license after. Very communicable assistant answered all my questions regarding how results will show *** in DMV. Thank you!
I was pleasantly surprised by how straightforward and easy this process was. From scheduling an appointment, for which I found plenty of available slots, to the initial setup and actual test, it was a delightful experience. The staff were courteous, friendly and helpful. I got an appointment the same hour, and it felt like the test was over in the blink of an eye. Pun intended.
Everything was excellent! On time and fast. Thanks. You are professionals.
Easy, efficient and done in under 3 minutes - honestly. Great value.
Frustration and Foul Play: My Experience with Rock Auto Parts
So, lemme tell ya 'bout my experience with Rock Auto Parts, or rockautoparts.com. First off, gotta say, their website is a bit of a hot mess. Kept getting this dumb prompt about a city sales tax that made it seem like my order was impossible. And apparently you can't change the shipping address if it don't match your card billing address...like, what kinda ridiculousness is that? Felt like I was in a dang circle jerk tryna place an order.
And turns out, that prompt about the city sales tax was a buncha baloney! Heard from others that they got the same message and it was just completely untrue. And don't even get me started on how they'll say your credit card got denied when it's really on their end. Good luck tryna get any help from these jokers, though - they have absolutely ZERO customer service and no phone number for orders or anything. Like, what kinda business operates like that?
Suffice to say, Rock Auto Parts has lost my business for good. Maybe they got some decent products, but with all the aggravation their website and lack of customer service caused me, I'd rather just take my business elsewhere.
Buyer Beware: My Experience with Rock Auto Parts and Their Cancellation Policy
So, I recently had an experience with Rock Auto Parts, and let me tell you, it was a wild ride from start to finish. I placed an order with them, but unfortunately, I made a mistake in my order. I tried to cancel the order right away and start over, but boy was that a mistake. Apparently, they don't let you cancel an order that easily. Some of the items were canceled, but not all. This left me with a bit of confusion, to say the least.
Now, here's where things get spicy. Because of the canceled items, I was hit with some extreme shipping charges. And honestly, their shipping prices are already pretty high to begin with. So, now I have to pay even more thanks to my mistake. I reached out to their customer service team, hoping they could assist me. But alas, they said there was nothing they could do because I didn't request the cancellation in time. What a load of bull!
So, I'm here to give you a heads up – if you plan on ordering from Rock Auto Parts, be sure to have everything in order. Double check your order and make sure you don't make any mistakes. Because they sure as heck won't make it easy for you to correct them. Don't get me wrong, they do have quality parts, and their prices are decent. But just be mindful of their policy towards canceled orders. They do want your money after all. Overall, I'd say proceed with caution when dealing with Rock Auto Parts.
Beware of Faulty Parts and Frustrating Return Policy: My Experience with Rock Auto Parts
So, let me tell you about my experience with Rock Auto Parts. In July I ordered a couple of DURAGO BR*** front rotors for my 2010 Equinox from their website rockautoparts.com. I was pretty excited to finally replace my old rotors and get my brakes feeling like new again. However, it wasn't until September that I finally got around to installing them along with some new pads.
Almost immediately after installing the rotors, my brakes started to chatter and shake the steering wheel. It was super annoying and made driving my car pretty uncomfortable. So I brought my car to my regular mechanic and he told me the rotors were warped and out of round. Not exactly what I was hoping to hear.
I tried to reach out to Rock Auto Parts to get a return, but it was like trying to enter Fort Knox without permission. It was impossible! I had the slips from my order, but when I tried to enter the order number on their website, it said it could not be found. Frustrating, to say the least.
At this point, I was ready to give up and just accept that I was out of luck. However, I wanted to warn others about my experience and hopefully save them some trouble. If you're going to order from Rock Auto Parts, be wary of their return policy and try to talk to a real person if you need help. Otherwise, you might end up like me with faulty parts and no way to return them.
Overall, I was pretty disappointed with my experience with Rock Auto Parts. I had high hopes for them, but it seems like their customer service and return policies need some work. If they can improve in those areas, I might consider giving them another shot in the future. Until then, I'll be looking elsewhere for my auto parts needs.
Sachs vs LuK Dual-Mass-Flywheel: My Frustrating Experience with Auto Parts Company
So, I had some issues with my ride's dual-mass-flywheel, which is a pain in the butt, let me tell ya. I thought I'd upgrade to a fancy Sachs one instead of getting the LuK one. The Sachs said it was $566, and the LuK was listed for $367. I figured I'd treat my baby right and went for the more expensive Sachs. Well, guess what? They ended up sending me the LuK one! What a ripoff, man. They have this lame response on their website like, "if it fits, use it" - like that's supposed to make me feel better. How could they do this? No one to turn to, no customer service to vent my frustrations. It's like they don't give a hoot about their customers. I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy from these guys. Even if it costs more somewhere else, it's worth it to have peace of mind and know you're not just throwing your money away on a sketchy company like this. Steer clear, folks!
Rock Auto Parts Review: Unreliable Packaging and Unhelpful Customer Service
So, I was in the market for some shock absorbers for my trusty Nissan Maxima and decided to give Rock Auto Parts (rockautoparts.com) a try. I was excited by the competitive pricing and thought I might have found a great deal. After the purchase, I eagerly awaited the delivery of my new parts.
However, when the package arrived, it quickly became clear that the folks at Rock Auto were not too concerned about making sure their shipments were properly secured and protected. The boxes were torn open, and it seemed like some small parts had gone missing along the way.
Naturally, I called the customer service team to report the issue, and instead of receiving an apology or a quick resolution, I was told that I would need to send the damaged goods back to them at my own expense if I wanted a refund. I was pretty upset since I thought it was their responsibility to make sure their products were delivered intact and in good condition.
But, being a loyal customer, I still sent the stuff back, carefully repackaging everything with extra padding, and waited for my refund. But imagine my disappointment when I found out that they still would not reimburse me for the costs of shipping!
It's a bummer when a company fails to acknowledge their own shortcomings and instead puts the burden on the customer. I learned the hard way that Rock Auto Parts may not be the best option if you're looking for bigger and heavier items. The quality of their packaging leaves a lot to be desired, and it's not worth the hassle or the potential money loss.
Rock Auto: Incredible Prices and Great Service to Keep You Riding High!
Man, I gotta tell ya - my family has been straight-up vibin' with Rock Auto for like years and years. And let me tell you, they're the real deal. We've had a couple mix-ups with the parts we've ordered, but they don't sweat it - as long as you follow their instructions, they're nothin' but good to ya. Only two times out of like, 20+ orders did we have any problems at all. And I mean, their prices are unbeatable. If you're not in a huge hurry to get your parts, you'll have 'em in your hands in just a few days. They don't mess around when it comes to shipping.
Now let me tell you about that one time I was lookin' for a side light replacement after a dang deer messed up my car. Local shops were tryna charge me like $135 for that sucker. But I found it on Rock Auto for a mere $45! Can you believe it?! Ya know, all 3 of my sons and my hubby are on board with Rock Auto now. We're all about those sweet deals, man.
So, to sum it up, Rock Auto's prices are amazing and they have a great track record with us. Keep it up, you guys! We're ride or die with ya.
Beware of the Seconds: Rock Auto's Complete Lack of Customer Service
So, listen up folks, I gotta tell ya about the experience I had with Rock Auto Parts. So, I got this sweet ride, a 2007 Ford Explorer, and I figured it was time to replace the starter before my wife and I got stuck somewhere because ya never know what can happen. So, on 6/16/19 I went ahead and bought a brand spankin' new Motorcraft starter from Rock Auto. Fast forward a few months later, my wife and I are driving 106 miles away from home and guess what? Yup, you guessed it, the starter failed and we were stuck. We had to pay for a tow, a new starter, and the core just to get us out of that sticky situation. When we got home, I emailed Rock Auto's non-existent customer service and they told me to send the starter back, but at MY expense, for a replacement. If it weren't for the fact that I had bought a new starter beforehand, we would still be stuck out there. But apparently, Rock Auto's customer service couldn't give a rat's butt about their customers.
To add insult to injury, on 2/28/20 I got an email from Rock Auto's customer service (or lack thereof) saying that the starter had been delivered. But guess what, it wasn't delivered to me. So, if I relied on Rock Auto's customer service, my wife and I would still be stranded 106 miles away from home. To top it off, I also bought a Motorcraft front hub assembly on 1/20/20 and got it installed on the same day as the breakdown. But after driving TWO TENTHS OF A MILE, the bearing went bad and was SUPER loose. I had to pay for the mechanic to buy a new hub assembly, the labor, and the return of the crappy part. At this point, I'm out $750 all because Rock Auto wants to sell seconds. I get it, they sell stuff cheaper than stores, but damn, they should at least have some kind of customer service to help people out. BEWARE of the seconds being sold by Rock Auto and their complete lack of customer service. I tried calling their number, but all I got was a message saying "WE do not provide provide any phone customer service". I would give them a big fat ZERO stars, but unfortunately, that's not an option.

Disappointing Experience with Rock Auto Parts: Shipping Address Mishap and Poor Customer Service
So, I gotta say, my experience with Rock Auto Parts was a little bumpy. I ordered some parts for my trusty old truck, but when I checked the shipping address, they left out the dang unit number. I mean, come on, how hard is it to copy an address from an order form? But whatever, maybe it was just a one-time flub.
So I waited for my parts to arrive, but the FedEx delivery driver just couldn't find my place without that unit number. I tried calling FedEx to give them the correct info, but they were like "nope, sorry, can't do it, the shipper has to make that change." Ok, fine, Rock Auto, can you please add the unit number so my parts can get here? Nope, not gonna happen, they said. So what did I end up with? Parts that never made it to me, and a return shipment that I had to pay for. A kick in the friggin' pants, if you ask me.
Now, I can't say that this was all Rock Auto's fault. But I do think they could have been more helpful in resolving the issue. It's not like I was asking for free parts or anything, just a little bit of customer service. So, yeah, I'm a little disappointed in my experience with Rock Auto Parts. But who knows, maybe they'll get their act together next time. Or maybe I'll just go to the local auto shop instead.
Rock Auto Parts Review: Don't Waste Your Time and Money!
Listen up, people! If you're thinking of buying car parts from Rock Auto Parts (rockautoparts.com), let me give you some advice: don't. Seriously, it's not worth the hassle. You might end up with the wrong piece and then you won't be able to return it. Trust me, I've been there. And if you try to get in touch with their customer service, good luck! They won't answer your calls or emails. It's like they don't even care! So save yourself the trouble and steer clear of this company. Your wallet - and your sanity - will thank you.
Rock Auto Parts: Incompetent Order Fulfillment and Constant Mistakes
Honestly, I've ordered car parts from Rock Auto Parts multiple times and most of the time they've sent me the wrong ones. I mean, come on! It's not rocket science to figure out which part goes where, and yet these guys seem to struggle with it. Except for one time when they actually got it right, but that's not even worth celebrating. I'm so done with this company and I wouldn't suggest them to anybody else. They're just not worth the hassle or the headache. So do yourself a favor and steer clear of these guys!

A Disappointing Experience with Rock Auto Parts: Wrong Struts and Zero Customer Service
So, I had to order 2 struts for my lovely Lincoln a while ago. I was hoping to enjoy a smooth ride, but alas, one of the struts turned out to be the wrong one! Imagine my frustration when my mechanic tried to install them and nothing fit. So, I immediately sent an email to Rock Auto Parts (rockautoparts.com) explaining the matter and asked them to help me figure out what vehicle the other strut was actually for. And guess what? Three emails later, I never received a darn response from them! I mean, come on, people, customer service used to mean something when they invented it, right? Now, I am done with them and would never dare order from them again! If you care about your valuable time, money, and nerves – go elsewhere!
Disappointing customer service from Rock Auto Parts: A review
So, I was in the market for some parts for my car and decided to give Rock Auto Parts (rockautoparts.com) a try. I ordered a bunch of different stuff and was pretty excited for it to come in the mail. When it finally did, I was stoked to get to work on my car. But when I opened up the package, I noticed one part was missing. Ugh, what a bummer.
I immediately contacted their customer service team to see if they could help me out. And let me tell you, it was a total letdown. Nobody seemed to know what to do about my situation and I was getting pretty frustrated. I kept sending them emails, hoping for some sort of response, but to no avail.
In the end, I had to go elsewhere to find the part I needed. It was a bummer that Rock Auto couldn't help me out, but I guess that's just how it goes sometimes. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this site if you're looking for reliable customer service.
But hey, maybe you'll have a better experience than I did. Who knows? Just be prepared for a potential headache if anything goes wrong with your order.
Unsatisfactory Experience: DAYCO timing belt set from rockautoparts.com
So I grabbed a DAYCO timing belt set for my car from rockautoparts.com for $181 smackers. Alright deal so far, right?
Surprise surprise, two of the idler thingies came with damage- just my luck. Contacted them on Nov 20th and they bounced me to their website, which said if your order is over 30 days old, you're SOL. Ain't that just a kick in the pants? I wasn't exactly thrilled with their response at this point.
So I reached out to customer service to see if there was anything they could do for me, but they said Dayco warranties are processed only through the store that sold the part (i.e., RA in this case). Guess what that means? Stuck without being able to use the manufacturer's warranties. Total bummer.
At this point, I was ready to move on. I took my $900 order somewhere else and haven't looked back since. Overall, I can't say RA gave me what I thought was good service.
Rock Auto Parts Review: A Bumpy Ride
So, I gotta tell you about my experience with the folks at Rock Auto Parts. Lemme just say right off the bat that it wasn't the smoothest ride I've ever had. They sent me the wrong part, right? And when I tried to call up and get it corrected, I couldn't get ahold of anybody who could help me out. That's frustrating as all get-out, let me tell ya.
And the thing is, reporting the mistake just wasn't reliable. It was like my messages were getting lost in some kind of deep, dark void. So not only did I have to deal with the inconvenience of returning the part, I had to fork over the cash to pay the shipping on it, too. Not cool, man.
And what really rubbed me the wrong way was the fact that I couldn't even talk to a human being to make sure that the right part was going to be sent out for a second purchase. I mean, come on, Rock Auto! Help a guy out here!
Now, I don't want to sound all doom and gloom about these folks. I'm sure that plenty of people out there have had some good experiences with them. But from what I've heard and experienced myself, there's definitely a bit of a reputation for them shipping out faulty or incorrect parts. So take that for what it's worth, y'know?
All in all, I can't say that I'm jumping at the bit to order from these guys again. It's just too much of a headache, and when I'm shopping for car parts I need somebody I can count on. And unfortunately, it doesn't seem like Rock Auto is always that somebody.
Rock Auto Parts Review: Cheap Prices but Low Quality and Poor Customer Service
So I decided to give Rock Auto Parts a try when I needed an alternator for my 2007 Equinox. However, when it arrived, the box was in shambles and the plastic part that connects the adapter was completely broken. I tried to return it but struggled to get a hold of customer service. Eventually, I just had to put the broken part on and hope for the best.
Well, it lasted about a year before conking out on me. I have to say, the prices were tempting, but you really do get what you pay for. The parts are super cheap and just fall apart. Honestly, I think even a 6-year-old could do a better job than whoever's running the show at Rock Auto.
In conclusion, I wouldn't recommend this site to anyone looking for reliable car parts. The convenience of low prices just isn't worth the hassle of dealing with broken parts and unresponsive customer service. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.
Rock Auto Parts: Frustrating Experience with Wrong Parts and Terrible Customer Service
Man, let me tell you about my experience with Rock Auto Parts and the set of windshield cowl panels I ordered for this guy's F-150. They got messed up by hail and he was counting on me to fix it up real good, you know what I'm saying?
So I placed the order at rockautoparts.com and patiently waited to receive the right parts. Long story short, they sent me the wrong dang set. The part numbers on the boxes were correct, but when I opened them up, I saw they were for a different model of truck. What a bummer, dude.
I reached out to the Rock Auto team and they refused to take responsibility for their mistake. They wouldn't accept the incorrect parts as returns because I wrote the right part numbers on the boxes. Are you kidding me? On top of that, they wanted to charge me $29.95 to ship them back, or else they'd trash them after 5 business days. That's a real load of crap, if you ask me.
Overall, this was a super frustrating experience that cost me a lot of time, effort, and money. I wouldn't recommend shopping at Rock Auto Parts if you want to avoid these kind of issues. Just sayin'.
Disappointing Experience with Rock Auto Parts: Refusal to Take Responsibility for Mistake
Hi there! Last week, I found myself ordering a new set of rotors for my son's car at Rock Auto Parts. As usual, their catalog was pretty extensive, and I was able to find exactly what I was looking for. Hooray!
BUT, when the package arrived, I couldn't help but notice that the rotors were way too big for my son's car. Yikes! Immediately, I went back to their website, re-read the specs, and confirmed that it was their mistake. I decided to call them and request a return, but sadly, they refused to take responsibility and even required me to pay for the return shipping costs. Ouch!
I was very disappointed with Rock Auto Parts, to say the least. It's just not acceptable to have a company not take responsibility for their mistake. Sadly, this leaves me no choice but to not order from Rock Auto Parts in the future. I really hope this review reaches at least one person, so they don't have to go through the same hassle that I did.
Rock Auto Parts, you may have saved $15 on the shipping costs, but at the cost of losing my family and friends business. Shame!
