This company is the worst!
This company is the worst! They can't even unclog a toilet, let alone fix any plumbing problems. They're gonna get sued real soon!
Rooter Ranger was fast, clear, and effective!
Rooter Ranger was fast, clear, and effective! They charged a bit more, but boy was it worth it! They handled a huge task in less than 5 days and kept me informed the whole time! The quality was beyond excellent, more like 11/10!
Rooter Ranger came out quick and diagnosed my problem in an hour
Rooter Ranger came out quick and diagnosed my problem in an hour. I had a root ball in my front yard completely blocking my drain. They had my service restored in a day and I couldn't be happier. They were polite and ***.
My whole house was backed up
My whole house was backed up. The technician told me about the $47 draining cleaning special. They cabled my drain and I was back up and running. No pressure, polite, and knowledgeable. I will use them in the future and recommend them to anyone else in need.
My water heater went out and I was lookin for a company to come out and install a new one at a good price
My water heater went out and I was lookin for a company to come out and install a new one at a good price. The companies I called said they couldn't come for 2-3 days, but Rooter Ranger had a good price and could send their Technician *** out in just one day. The best thing was how good their communication was and how professional he was durin the whole process. I really recommend Rooter Ranger.
On July 8, Rooter Ranger came to fix my washer drain
On July 8, Rooter Ranger came to fix my washer drain. When I called to schedule, I told them where the problem was. When they arrived, they said they had to charge more because they had to go on the roof. I said okay to the higher price. After a while, they told me they couldn't clear the blockage, but they could use a camera to check all the drains for damage. They said it would cost around $20,000 to clear the blockage, knock-off, hydro jet all drains, and line them with a product that has a 40-year warranty. They were supposed to email me the different options, but I still haven't gotten anything. I read other complaints and they sound similar.
Great company
Great company. Manager Bob is reliable. Found Rooter Ranger online, they had a $47 line cleaning special. Tech Austin came to the house, nice young man. Spent 2 hours trying to clear the line. I told my wife, "$47 charge is a joke". Austin had to call boss Bob, who came with a camera line. Lines cleared in minutes, only charged $47. Both guys were friendly, wore masks due to Covid-19. Recommend this company. Gave their business cards to neighbors and left a comment on Yelp.
Beware of this company's shady business practices
Beware of this company's shady business practices. My experience is very similar to other negative reviews. I hired them to clear a blockage in my toilet's sewer pipe. They tried to snake the pipe without using the camera first. The next day, when they finally used the camera to locate the blockage, they refused to snake it again. Instead, they immediately quoted me $3000 to replace my bathroom floor and sewer pipe. It's odd that they didn't offer hydro-jetting as an alternative. The next day, I hired another plumbing company for a second opinion. They used the camera first and successfully cleared the drain within an hour. This is exactly what I expected from Rooter Ranger, but it seems they were more interested in making money. In the end, I paid them over $200 for nothing.
I called Rooter Ranger LLC because my toilet and shower drain were leaking water
I called Rooter Ranger LLC because my toilet and shower drain were leaking water. The guy who came said he fixed it quickly and told me to turn on the shower, washing machine, and flush the toilet all at once to check if everything was okay. But when I did that, water started seeping out of the toilet and flooded half of my house, more than an inch deep. The guy left to talk on the phone and didn't pay attention to what he did, so the water kept flowing for about 20 minutes even after I told him to turn it off. He said he would take care of the water, but then he used my own paper towels and bath towel to try and soak it up, which ruined my bath towel. He called someone else to come and help, but the new person didn't even use the camera he brought to figure out the problem. Instead, he said they would need special equipment to fix it, which would cost $1350, without even confirming the actual issue. When I said no to the service, they left me with a ruined bath towel and a flooded house. These people are completely incompetent in every way.
Terribl experience
Terribl experience. We have an older home. We were told that the pipes were collapsing and black water was flooding our laundry wall and under our kitchen tile. They said we had to have an immediate response and had to have our entire sewer replaced. While blowing out the pipes, they hit a cleanout by our exterior ac unit, causing the bit to divert and rupture the gas line. The gas company and fire department were called and 6 family homes were evacuated. The *** scolded them and told us they had not blue staked. They also found the techs working in an unshored 8 foot deep wet hole at our back fence line. The *** made them return the next day for a meeting with an investigator. It took forever for the pipes.to be repaired. The techs took extended lunch breaks. We would come home from work and find them lounging on our spa deck with visitors in plain clothes. We found our personal hand tools from our shed laying on furniture in our bedroom. They just helped themselves. They also left our bathroom cabinet sitting uncovered on our back patio, where it was rained on and sat in a pool of water during recent storms. The plumbing bill was nearly $20,000. We asked for an "itemized" bill and they have so far refused to provide it. They demand payment without an itemized bill and have threatened us with a lien. They then said they would settle for $15,000 and still refused to provide an itemized bill. We have every intent to pay, once we see what the charges are for. This company is not one we would ever utilize again.
Be carful of this company
Be carful of this company. We called Rooter Ranger out on a Sunday cuz our main sewer line outside was backed up. After putting a snake down the cleanout the tech told us he would have to call for another tech to bring a camera cuz his snake detected a clog. Another tech/salesperson showed up and told us that our line was probably crushed so he couldn't try to hydro jet it and they would need to dig to fix it. He quoted *** to do this. When I told him that I don't have the money he told me he could see if we qualify to finance a loan to pay. We felt pressured cuz the job seemed huge and we didn't want our house to flood. Turns out that one man came to dig for a total of 14 hours over three days that included him leaving a few times. the pipe was 10 feet down and not crushed. It had tree roots in it that could have resolved with the hydro jet. The man digging cut out less that two feet of pipe and replaced it, the hole was covered and they were done in 15 hours total from the time the first tech showed up and the hole was covered. The job ended up costing us $12,000! That was after I complained numerous times about the flat rate we were quoted that we didn't know was a flat rate and not based on the size/time of the job. Terrible customer service too! I called to talk to a manager and the tech called me back pretending to be the manager and asked what happened. He then called me a liar and said he was going to put a lien on my house when I was just getting clarification on the estimate he gave us! TERRIBLE experience and way over-charged!
They are really good at using scare tactics to make you spend more money
They are really good at using scare tactics to make you spend more money. I have an old house and one of my toilets was clogged and not flushing properly. I decided to call a plumber to clean the main line since it hadn't been done in 8 years. They advertised a $49 service with quick response, which sounded great. But the whole experience was really stressful. They used a snake to clear the line and found a blockage. Then they used a camera and discovered that a pipe was disconnected and not aligned properly. Their solution was to dig a 3x3x3 hole, install a new PVC pipe, reinforce it with rebar, and put salt on the ground to prevent roots from getting in. The price for all this was over $3000. They claim to offer a 10% discount for senior citizens and first responders, but they only gave me 5% for each, leaving me with a balance of $3149. They also tried to convince me to replace the main sewer line all the way to the street for $15000, or just from the corner of the house for $9000. As a senior widow, I felt conflicted and discussed the situation with my son. He spoke to the supervisor and after thinking it over and having more conversations, we decided to hold off on the major repair. They were only supposed to give me an estimate for financing the $15000, but they went ahead and filled out a loan application without my permission. I received the loan papers in the mail with instructions on how to activate it online. They connected the line but didn't cover the hole until the supervisor could see it. Unfortunately, at 4am the next morning, my small dog fell into the hole. When I told them I wouldn't be proceeding with the major repair, they informed me that they had already pulled permits and I would have to pay a prorated amount for that. It was a weekend and I didn't authorize any of this. I believe they were using scare tactics, and when I confronted them about it and mentioned what happened to my dog, they reduced the bill to $3000. Later, I found out that their California license was suspended, so they shouldn't have been doing business there.

I called Rooter Ranger on the morning of 17 July to fix a leakin pipe under my master bath
I called Rooter Ranger on the morning of 17 July to fix a leakin pipe under my master bath. The Field Supervisor, ***, told me my house got galvanized pipes, and all my plumbing gotta be replaced for $18,000. I crawled under my house and found out the pipes are copper. I called another plumber and $550 and 2 hours later my leak was fixed. Rooter Ranger and *** are scam artists.
November 26 - Rooter Ranger did one service at my house but charged me for two services ($1688)
November 26 - Rooter Ranger did one service at my house but charged me for two services ($1688). They charged $200 for camera footage of pipes, which was okay. However, they charged $1400 for "jetting" the lines, which wasn't right. Even though I canceled this service within 3 hours and it wasn't done, they won't answer our calls or give us a credit for the services they didn't do.
I hired Rooter Rangers to clear a clog in my drain on 1/6/22
I hired Rooter Rangers to clear a clog in my drain on 1/6/22. They told me that they couldn't clear the lines with a cable and suggested hydro-jetting, which was more expensive. I agreed, and they came back on 1/8. Unfortunately, they were unable to clear the lines and then tried to sell me a $27,000 repair that was completely unnecessary. They claimed that my drain system had suffered a catastrophic failure, but that turned out to be untrue. Another company cleared the lines with a $250 cable, and an independent camera inspection confirmed that the pipes were in good condition with no breaks.
I called on 1/21 to ask for a refund of my $500 deposit, and they said I would receive a credit in a couple of days. That was a month ago, and I still haven't received anything. I sent them an email a week later, but they ignored it. I also sent an email through their website on 2/14, and they promised that upper management would contact me, but I haven't heard anything since then.

I called Rooter Ranger LLC to snake my sewer line on a Saturday
I called Rooter Ranger LLC to snake my sewer line on a Saturday. However, the next day, it got clogged again because they snaked the wrong line instead of the main one. They came back on Sunday and ran a camera through the main line. They told me there might be a blockage or a possible break in the pipe. They wanted to charge me a whopping amount for the repair and suggested I make monthly payments. They were ready to start the same day and promised to fix everything in just one day. They advised me not to use the pipe for any water. After a couple of days, I decided to call another company to check if there was indeed a blockage or a broken pipe. The second company snaked the main line and everything has been running smoothly since then, with no issues or backups. I feel like Rooter Ranger tried to scare me into getting a repair that I didn't actually need. I even had Blue Stake come out to mark everything for the unnecessary repair. They should definitely refund the camera charge they made me pay.
Date of the transaction: 05/07 Invoice # [REDACTED] Rooter Ranger, LLC billed us $5,000.00
Date of the transaction: 05/07 Invoice # [REDACTED] Rooter Ranger, LLC billed us $5,000.00 for replacing the main line from the front of the house to the city side. The dispute arises from being overcharged for merely replacing a rubber union, not the entire main line. Despite claims of potential issues with high voltage lines and other utilities, none were present, as confirmed by BLUESTAKE. After a delayed response to our dispute over the charge, the company refused to adjust the inflated price. Standard digging costs range from $50 to $200 per foot, and the hole was only 4x4 by 6 feet deep. We request a price adjustment to $1,500.
Rooter Ranger came out to unclog the main sewer line at my place
Rooter Ranger came out to unclog the main sewer line at my place. They said I should get clean outs installed next to the ones I already had. I told them I just wanted the sewage problem fixed. They started digging up the main sewer line in my garage. Two weeks later, I had another sewage clog. I called Rooter Ranger and they sent a technician. The technician thought the job was done and didn't realize the digging was still going on. They snaked out the main sewer line. The clean outs were put in and I paid $4500.00. But my problem was never fixed. Another plumber checked the line and found the real issue. It wasn't on my side of the property. The main sewage line had a problem with its pitch. The plumber said the clean outs were completely unnecessary and a waste of money. Rooter Ranger took advantage of me. I tried complaining and the company contacted me. They said someone from management would get in touch, but nothing happened. I just don't want anyone else to go through what I did with Rooter Ranger.
On October 4th, Rooter Ranger serviced my condo for a plumbing appointment
On October 4th, Rooter Ranger serviced my condo for a plumbing appointment. They aimed to adjust the washer and dryer setup for a new counter in our laundry area. I'm currently residing in a city, and the condo is vacant as it's being prepped for sale. The technician neglected to shut off the water in the master bathroom after draining the lines. This oversight was discovered two weeks later by a painter working for the building's HOA. The condo was open, humid, with water dripping from various fixtures. The painter noticed the master bathroom's faucets and shower were left running. Despite repeated calls to Rooter Ranger and requests for a managerial response and damage photos, I received neither. A restoration firm confirmed damage to floors and ceiling paint. The HOA informed me of my liability for the excessive water usage, which was substantial. Now, I face water damage repair costs, the initial service fee, additional water charges, increased electricity bills, and vent cleaning expenses. After two weeks of evasion, I sought to lodge a complaint, only to encounter further frustration. The call center supervisor, who is also the decision-maker, responded defensively to my complaint about her. Further attempts to resolve the issue were futile as she holds the authority.
I had Rooter Ranger come fix a sewer line break at my house
I had Rooter Ranger come fix a sewer line break at my house. The guy said there was a break near the main and they had to dig to see and fix it. He gave me a price and started the work. But then, when they started digging, they said the whole pipe needed to be rerouted and it would cost $21,000. So, I called another plumber, Yoder Plumbing, to check if that was true. He said the problem was near the main and needed to be fixed, but rerouting the pipe wasn't necessary. He also said the amount they charged for just the work near the main was too much.
While they were digging, the Rooter Ranger crew broke a pipe near my patio. They didn't even use the blue paint marks to show where the line was, so they ended up breaking it. The quote said they would salt the ground for roots, but there aren't any trees near the main. The digging crew spent more time on their phones than on the equipment, which caused a delay in fixing the problem. It should have been done in 1-1.5 days, but instead, they were at my house for 4 days and I had no plumbing.
I don't mind paying a fair price, and I know companies need to make money to stay open. But $11,320.98 is just too much. The bill was supposed to have a $500 discount for paying in full, but they didn't give it to me. When I asked for an itemized bill, they said they don't do that, but they can give me the quote. What kind of business doesn't give an itemized bill? I feel like the guy took advantage of me because I'm a woman and don't know much about plumbing. That's why I called another plumber to check what really needed to be done.
This company took advantage of a situation that I was in, and if it wasn't fixed, I would have had no running water in my house
This company took advantage of a situation that I was in, and if it wasn't fixed, I would have had no running water in my house. They knew I was at their mercy. On November 16, 2022, I was looking for a leak in my irrigation system and stumbled upon a poor design to get water to my system and house. Basically, I had to change out the main water supply from the street to my house. All Rooter Ranger had to do was attach a two-foot 3/4 pipe from the water supply at the front of my house to the main pipe that supplied water to my house. That's it. They charged me $625 for about $50 worth of material (according to the invoice, $625 for 2ft of 3/4 pipe - reconnection to provide water service). They didn't explain the cost of materials or the labor fee, just $625 for the pipe to restore water service. At the time, I was desperate, and they knew that. If they didn't complete the work, I would have had no water throughout my house. I am a military veteran, having served 22 years in the navy, and I found this amount to be outrageous. I even called them the day after to ask for a refund of the amount I would have received if I had mentioned my military veteran status, which I believe is a 10% discount. I never received a call back after speaking to one of their representatives. I also left a review and was contacted by someone from their corporate headquarters. She said, "I will look into this, and you should receive a call shortly from someone concerning this matter." However, that call never happened, and I didn't receive any correspondence from anyone. I can't believe there are companies like this one who just don't care about people and take full advantage of the situation by charging an outrageous amount.
I hired Rooter Ranger to fix a plumbing backup in early Sept
I hired Rooter Ranger to fix a plumbing backup in early Sept. They found that the sewer lines under my house had collapsed and needed replacement. It was gonna cost me $17000.00. The plumbers came in to work and they started by removing the doors to both my bathrooms and taking out the bowls, vanity, and shower stall in one of the bathrooms. They opened up a trench that went from one bathroom through another room into another playroom, then into a bathroom, and finally to the bedroom and out to the garage where the washer and dryer were. They started working a few days before I left for 3 weeks. My son was here. The plumbers showed up randomly. They started coming almost every day after I returned. One of the rooms had asbestos, so an asbestos removal company was called. The plumbers were informed on Thur. and the work was done by Mon. There were still 3 other rooms left to finish. I went out of town on Fri. for 8 days. The plumbers never showed up at all. I called and spoke to *** the supervisor. He told me I was supposed to call him when the asbestos was gone and I never called, so they didn't come out. I told him that there were still 3 other rooms and I told him they would be done on Mon. After they finished the pipe and replaced the concrete, the work was done on and off and took forever. The concrete wasn't done properly. They schedule and never show up. I asked to have a toilet temporarily replaced so I had a bathroom for my company and to clean up all their garbage. They came out and did some work. My son and I swept up and vacuumed. They haven't shown up to complete the concrete work. They texted me that it was scheduled but no show. *** keeps saying I add more things for them every time they show up. I replaced my bathroom door and had to buy new hinges. He said it wasn't their job, but they removed the doors and never replaced them. They damaged one bowl and I want a new one. I call every day, no one calls or shows up, and the work is not done on Mon.
On or about Sept 11, 2022, I called these guys because my toilet was stopped up
On or about Sept 11, 2022, I called these guys because my toilet was stopped up. They removed the toilet and it was full of roots, so I called their supervisor. He said, "Look, there is a root coming out of the drain and going into the wall." They pulled the roots out with their hands and showed me a clump of roots about a foot long. At this point, he ran a fiber optic camera down the sewer line and said that the sewer line was damaged by roots and would have to be replaced. The inspection only took 15 seconds and I could only see flickers on the screen. At that point, he said it would cost an additional $3000.
The repairman showed up the next day and tore up the floor. When he exposed the drain, there were no roots and the drain was not leaking. I discussed this with the repairman. The root was smaller than my little finger and was not coming out of the drain but was coming out of the wall. He still replaced the drain. I don't know why he replaced the line. He then filled the hole and replaced the concrete and left. Then I received a call from the supervisor saying he sent an email with the invoice for repairs for $3800. When I talked to the supervisor, I wasn't going to pay for unnecessary repairs. He told me the pipe had to be replaced because the *** tore had come loose because of the root. The root was smaller than my little finger and the *** was bent in a u shape around the root. This could only happen if the *** was still attached. He also never mentioned the problem about the ***. The sewer pipe did not have to be replaced to repair a ***. See *** how to repair toilet ***. I wrote him a check for $1600 because he was going to put a lien on my house. According to mrblueplumbing.com/plumber/toilet flange/, the national average cost to have a plumber replace your *** is around $175. They also messed up the tile and it had to be replaced. Invoice *** Notice the authorization date and the customer acknowledgement have the same date.
