Let me preface this by saying, I Love my Car. I wanted a charger when I was in Highschool and when I graduated college and got a real job, I went and got a used charger at 55k miles. it has been 5 loving years, I baby her as much as I can. she is now at 96k miles. I dnt over use, or abuse her; but I do constantly wonder what will happen to her drive train, basic parts, engine etc. As we all know, Dodge is not exactly the model for 'long lasting cars'.
Any ways,
I got a letter in the mail about a 'final notice' I called and was given a great deal on insuring my car in case of failure. I was very hesitant, as I dont like the dealership and they stated at the begining they were with Dodge... I told them I am not a fan of the Dodge Dealership as they tried to rip me off several times; they then claimed they are an indipendedn business... I was still hesitant to just give somone my CC info over the phone, so in turn they kept lowering the price. It finally got down to $3000 for 4 years / extra 60k miles coverage. All this for only $100 down today, 175 a month for 18 months... and if anything happens to the car and you go to a certified mechanic, you only pay 100 out of pocket...
I'm thinking to myself, had to be too good to be true, this deal sounds amazing, I get to cover the car I love for an extra 4 yrs or 60k miles... But they kept pushing, saying this is the only time I can get it. no more chances, they will hang up and it will be over, and to GIVE US YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER...
It just seemed too good to be true, I was sad bc I really would like to have that security coverage for the car I love... But I hung up.
After reading the reviews here, I am happy I hung up. Its so sad that in this world that is going to crap, there are still scammers out here that actually are accredited companies in business. Bare in mind this is 2024, and these complaints go back to 2010... Very sad.
Do Not Let Them BULLY you into getting coverage, they are just as bad as the 'stealerships'!
