Helpful App When It Works
This is a helpful work app with easy navigation. It’s a 4 stars if it wasn’t so buggy. In order for me to launch this app, I have to close out of all other apps. I even occasionally have to close it and re-open it again for it to work. it has been updated for biometric login which is a lot easier now. this app will also freeze on different screens or not go back to the home screen and will have to close it and re-open it again. it seems like the app was optimized for android. this is a really good tool for HR use including clocking in and out with ease and viewing paystubs.
Unable to Login
Management had me download UKG Ready after our company had been established with UKG Pro. She said in order to do this, login to Pro and it will automatically redirect to Ready. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, did iPhone update, waited three months after forgetting about it, reinstalled, entered my company short name and when I get to username and password, it highlights username in red with no message or anything. Can not proceed. HR had reset my information SIX TIMES. Still nothing. Can't even utilize Pro anymore, it doesn't even show the times in/out, the pie chart, can't access tax information. Nothing.
Issues w log in
I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, or at least I think I do. It was very difficult to work with this app. The first time I had issues I had to go up my chain of command. It started at the supervisor level, then management and finally Human Resources. The difficult part in all of this is getting the book keeping in order. This program is meant to record my time worked. I would appreciate if the system had a better trouble shooting system to rectify the username and password reset. I did keep an open line of communication with my managers and the issue was resolved after many attempts. Please work on this. This is an issue that should not be difficult to resolve.
Easily the worst app on my phone
This app was clearly designed by a jr. high student. It is unable to utilize the phones auto saved passwords. It can’t even remember my user name which is required to be my ridiculously long government email address. So every time you need to get into this thing to punch in/out you enter your username, then password, then off to Google Authenticator for a code, then back to this app to enter that code and your in, but not to the home page where you would punch in. That would make too much sense. UKG please take a look at how every other app in the world operates and then pay an adult to redesign this. We are all loosing at least a half hour out of our work day using this. Could have designed a better app in my sleep, wish I could give it 0 stars.
More functional, less intuitive
So we’ve used UKG pro at our company for months now, moving from ultipro. The UKG pro app is very intuitive and easy to use. But we just migrated to this new system UKG Ready. And while the app has more of the functionality of the desktop version of UKG Pro, the user interface feels clunky and counter-intuitive. Not to mention the login process is something of a nightmare. Because we migrated from UKG pro the only way for it to work is to sign in to the old app and try to use the functionality so it links to the new one. Then, UKG ready doesn’t save any of your login credentials, not even your username. Which for us is lengthy because it’s our email address. And there is no option to use your phone’s password saving features or fingerprint scanner like with the Pro version.
This app needs refinement and streamlining. ASAP.
Very complicated
This is the most complicated app I have ever used for payroll as an employee. I have to consistently monitor my “clock in/clock out” time because it glitches and creates the wrong times…not just by a few minutes but hours difference. My PTO has been calculated incorrectly as well, so I also have to monitor that. Not to mention the amount of times that we have to “send code via text” Every. Single. Time. we clock in or out is beyond annoying. I understand the need for security, but please at least give us the option to change that to recognize our devices so we don’t have to do that every time! And lastly, we have to download two apps in order to utilize everything, not ideal. Hopefully these things will be fixed in the near future, as my entire office is unhappy that we have had to switch to this app. We definitely prefer Paycor over this app, wayyyyy more user friendly.
It’s fine
Overall the app does work, the core functions are there and I haven’t really found any issues with that. One of my biggest problems is logging in. It signs me out all the time. When I open the app, 99% of the time it requires me to log in again, even if I just used the app a few minutes ago. The app also doesn’t let you save your login information to iCloud Keychain, so you’re forced to either manually enter your username and password each time you launch the app or create a keychain login and manually select it.
The UI is also pretty clunky and chaotic. It works and you get used to it, but it just feels like it’s from the early 2000’s and could be so much better. I hate how you have to manually open every time sheet for the days you work and it can be difficult to differentiate between days. I wish they would just let you use Face ID to login, would be so much easier and safer. I’ve used other similar services apps and they all are pretty bad with their UI, so it’s just a part of the industry I guess.

UKG Ready app, filling a complaint about out pay with this, I am employed at United Towing and Transport.
I get paid bi-weekly every pay our commission we make our work bonuses that has to apparently go through this app is taken and put into our tax withholding. Our bonuses that we were making before this app was being used is now going to the government for whatever reason. Why is it whenever we make more money this app just takes it. Also why is our bonuses showing up as work hours. It would be easier to notify the employees what their bonuses are instead of adding it as a work hour, to be taken out as tax. This method is completely unorthodox. Only reason to do this is to turn it into tax money. So we are working busting our buts for you to just hand it off to the government. Our bonuses is not our hourly wage you can not take what the company is doing to pay us separately and turn it towards the government.
Desired outcome: Hourly wages and bonuses separated. I want to know what I get paid for and what is a bonus that the government can't just take from me.
Very clunky and not intuitive
Impossible to find basic functions like editing clock-in time… clocking in has no pin option you have to type out full username and password every time… “clocked in” confirmation looks like you have only “changed cost center”…basically not user-friendly at all and feel like it is an app from the beginning of the computer age and not an easy, intuitive modern tool. So clunky and irritating to use. Really annoying that my work just started using this for our whole time sheet system. :(

I’ve been working computers since 1985.
I have written relational databases,Electronic medical records programs, and laboratory reporting software. For me, WF has been a nightmare. Redundant items in the menu, slow to work around, and by coincidence, this evening, unable to access data from just yesterday (prior pay period?). And of course the helpdesk is unavailable.
Why have a help desk? It’s none of my business, if I was to make a recommendation to management, it would be to get a different program.
Very unsatisfied.
Might actually be the worst
I have to use this app for payroll at my company and this is possibly the worst app in existence. I have logged into it once and the following attempt I was unable to log in due to my account being locked. I spoke to our payroll person to unlock the account and was able to change my password. First log in attempt with the new password locked my account again. The developers of this app clearly watched some garbage YouTube tutorials on app development because they have no idea what they’re doing with the design of this system.
This app is broken
If you exit out of the app by pressing home on your phone, the app will log you out about 50% of the time, regardless of you select Keep Me Signed In. When you enter back in to the app after being logged out, the app takes you to a screen that informs you that you have been logged out. From there, there is no way to log back in. You actually have to go round about to hard shut down the program and then reopen it in order to get to the log in screen. If you routinely have to shut an app down in order to access it, that app is broken.
Yeah. Great Improvement…
You know what some of my favorite new features of this new iteration of UKG are?
My absolute favorite is really a toss-up between the “Don’t save your password/prompt autofill so you have to re-enter it every single time” feature, and the “Don’t label time-off requests as approved/denied so employees have zero idea what is happening with their schedules” feature.
Or maybe it’s the feature where you have to navigate sub menus to get to the clock-in screen (The most important and time-sensitive one.)
UX designers clearly earned their pay with this one. Stellar job guys!
