i think they should make shell payout up to two million in damages for false advertising, harrasment, along with other damages to the recipients.

shell is a big company, and should have a better hands, or dealing in their company emails, or does this company don't have nothing better to do then harrass people.

I received the same Email from The Royal Dutch Shell with the same contain. When the address is in UK why ask me to claim the grant half way across the world ? in Nigeria is it not a scam? If it is
ment to help why must I have to pay for the Insurance and delivary charges. Isit not a scam.

And there's another born every minute. I actually can't believe that anyone takes this seriously anymore. Nigerian Scams are all over the internet. Am I to really believe that you think a someone who doesn't know is just going to send you a check for 2 million dollars? I don't know how to break this to you but this is not true the only person sending money is going to be you to them if you reply.

I' m so thankful that I checked this scam out before I did anything else...It's ironic that it showed up when it did because I was considering applying for a grant to start up a new business.

I think they do something to track who is looking up grants because I am doing grants as well to start up a new business and got this. Do they really think that people will send them money? Frankly you may as well say if this is real then pull the insurance and shipping fees (shipping fees for a check?) out of the 2 million and send it to me. If they say no then obviously its a scam. I mean really, if they were serious about sending you 2 million bucks, they would do it that way. But then I'm a bit cynical regarding things like that, especially when you notice that "50 other recipients will recieve 2 million dollars." So they expect us to believe that Shell is giving out 100 million dollars yearly? Yeah right, Shell would be broke with a quickness. How silly.

I got the same e-mail a few days ago. and i am really hurting finacially . unemployed and just barely hanging on to my home. so at frist i was very exciting but why would shell send me money? i been getting all kinds of b.s. about large somes of money. most of them are from h.k. / u.k./ and nigeria . beware when you are hurting for cash they seem to prey on people. from barry in the u.s.a.

I knew this was a scam. I should have known it! I was also online looking for grants to start my own business when I got this e-mail. These people definitely had me fooled until the final e-mail requesting the 360.00 in insurance money. I feel like everyone else, If they are sending me 2 million dollars why not just take the insurance money out of the grant reward money. I SHOULD HAVE KNOW THIS WAS JUST ANOTHER SCAM!

I got this email just as you all did. I recently went on line in search of different grant options so that I could start a business. A few wks later I got this message. I was excited about the possibility and then I started think about all of the lies that I've heard before when people say they'll help with n e thing and do whatever they can to help and then they don't. So at that time I started thinking why in the hell would a BILLION DOLLAR oil company help little old me instead of somone else. Among futher researching to see If there is n e truth to this, I ran across this site. If there is n e truth to this --I WANT (NEED) MY MONEY- witout having to pay out of pocket, the ins. cost... I have also received a similar e-mail few days back and since I am a student and teacher and had been applying for assistance and grants actually got excited that I have been given the grant. This is an emotional and disturbing thing and the culprits should be caught and the victims like us be given justice and compensated by the government of Nigeria for their citizens misusing my name as my name was even printed on the cheque inthe amount of U.S $2 Million. Coudl you please clear this and compensate me for your citizen using my name without my knowledge.

I want to be legally compensated by Shell International Grant Award committee for some one from their company misusing my name using on the Shell International Grant check.

If this award is real I would love to have it as I am a student and a teacher who would like a little monetary assistance, why say no to a good offer if it is a real Grant from Royal Dutch Shell International Grant Award.

I too, lit up a bit with the same notification of being selected as a recepient of two million dollars just for having an email address. The grant from, you guessed it...Royal Dutch Shell International Grant Award...If they can offer to send me that much money, they could surely deduct the cost of sending me the grant...If fact, they could keep a couple of thousand just for their time and trouble. I also received this award notification, and the Royal Dutch Shell Corporation does have an award, but it is not chosen by e-mails. It is chosen at random by a charitable organization in the U.K. I also believe that they should find who is doing this and stop them from ruining the award.This is just my personal belief on this matter.

Just to let everyone out there know I am a mother of two who has a disabled child. I was looking for a grant to start a non-profit organization to raise awareness about the blood disorder crippling my child. A few days ago I received the same e-mail. Money isn't just going to fall into our laps we have to work hard for it. Writing grant letters and appeals to those grant letters. People are struggling and everyone knows it...Don't take this the wrong way but if your tough you'll get going right about now. 95% of offers sent to you are scams believe it!

scam...really..so obvious coz different people get different information. plus the way to claim also different for each person isn't it. .. their is other way to contact us rite. legally..

I can not beleave that SHELL is not awhere of this.However how is it posible the people who are targeted are in big trobble and have no idea where, the next meal, morage and or rent, phone, elc, gas, or the needs for there famley, med-insurence, eye, dental, preventive med, care.I my sylfe hope this is true. What a rotten thing to do! I'm not aware of any grant sites that I have visited, but some how I got pulled into this SCAM too. DO NOT-give out your personal information or ANY of your account information-you will only be disappointed.

i just got that same letter and the same numbers

I rec'd the same email about a week ago. I was about to send the $360.00 when I was advise by a friend that when she rec'd grant money she did not have to pay a dime for it. The person ssending you the funds is responsible for all the insurance and whatever else needs to take place so that you can rec;d the funds that are going to be given to you. She has rec'd grant money before and said that it does not come easy to get and they usually phone you over the phone or send you something in the mail first to notify you and it is not in the millions but more like $5, 000. Just wanted to pass this information on. Thanks you have save me from SCAMMED

I have the same story. I did reply with alligations that they were a scam and how sad I was that they played such creul jokes on people hoping to get something from people that are honestly working and struggling.

I also was searching for grants and not even 2 days later I recieved the same e-mail. I agree something has to be done to stop fraud e-mails like this one. In today economy getting to be a struggle from paycheck to paycheck we all were hoping for a break I guess.

I also was contacted. However, over the summer months, I was actually in contact with " diplomats " that had escorted a package which was $1, 400, 000.00 IN CASH. I was to western union $2, 500 to NewYork to pay for international fees to receive my package. When I told them to take it out of my "package" and just bring me the change, they finanlly stopped calling. I was also doing searches online for grants to upgrade my home for my nephew who has several physical disabilities. these people should be hung~n~strung! They are parasites that need bleached out of our society. LETS SUE! I have enclosed a copy of my instructions to collect my current 2 million.
