When I went into Rue 21, the manager was really rude and cussed at me. I thought she was having an off day so I continued to shop around. That was until I saw her put a cigarette in her mouth while still in the store. She couldn't even wait until she got outside. Totally unprofessional. I also had to wait until She was done smoking in order to check out. At the register she was also rude and unprofessional. Never going back!
a order that was lost by ups
I never got my order and it was for my girlfriend they told me to call ups when they supposed so I called ups then they told me that rue21 supposed to make a report so after they kept on giving the run around I called ups and they called rue21 on 3 ways and told them they was doing the wrong thing and after that I had to wait another 10 days for a investigation and after getting treated like crap day after day so I waited the extra ten days and they said I can get my money then I waited another ten days and nothing so I called again and they told me the gave me the refund bk already and I didn't get it bk really disappointed with this company taking my money from me I'm very pissed need my money bk
money taken off of my gift card and I never even placed my order
I was trying to do an online order using a gift card I received with $75 on it because the closest Rue 21 is an hour away from me. I had the items I wanted in the basket but when I went to check out it told me that I needed a pin to complete the order. My card did not have a pin so I called customer service. The man I spoke to was extremely hard to understand which he told me after speaking to him for 20 minutes that he would send out a paper for me to complete to get a new gift card with a pin on it. I waited 1.5 weeks and never got anything so I called back. I then spoke to a woman who was also extremely hard to understand which she told me that I had no money on my gift card because I placed an online order on Nov. 16th. I explained the situation to her and told her that I never was able to complete the order and I have not received ANY merchandise. I am still getting emails saying that my basket is waiting for checkout. The woman told me that her supervisor would be in touch within 2 days and I am on day 3 with no communication. I am extremely disappointed in the customer service.
the condition of the store
This store is a MESS! I love Rue 21 but this place is a wreck every time I go in. There are constantly boxes all over the floor that you have to trip over to get around. The worst area is the area with the shoes, jewelry, makeup...etc.
Also, I don't thin it is appropriate for the "manager" to walk around in shorts that are so short and so far up her butt that you can see everything. She is quite rude and unprofessional.
Good luck with this store as it will not last in a small community like this with that kind of management and lack of care for the store.
no refund
This company basically stole my money. UPS lost my package. They say they're not responsible for lost packages, but instead of holding UPS responsible they take your money and say deal with it. This is my first and last experience with this company. I cannot recommend this company to anyone unless you're okay with losing both your money and the merchandise you wanted.
racist manager
I am a worker for RGIS and I am just disgusted with the way a young African American girl was treated. She was so sweet and so funny she had me and another worker so tickled. But there was a manager who kept picking on her he would come to our section and scrutinize everything she did and then tell her she couldn't speak . I told her to keep her head up it's ok. Towards the end of the night she was talking to another worker while counting and asked could he get the skew check she was counting and this same manager interrupted her and made the nastiest comment he told her "you're going to do whatever I tell you to" and told her to go to another section and she asked "why would she go over there if she wasn't done here" and he was so nasty to her and sent her home after being very disrespectful. She was in tears and she did nothing wrong anybody would have raised their voice he was talking to her like she was a slave and I will not be a bystander I came to visit the store in Wichita June 22 and she was there and she now tells me they took her off the schedule for no reason and I hope she brings a discrimination case against your company I am also reporting this to RGIS corporate in hopes that they no longer do business with you if you let this continue. That poor girl was the sweetest thing. Myself and a couple of other workers are also willing to testify and I encouraged her to bring a case. I will keep messaging until I get a response and go to every website and keep going in that store until that little girl gets justice that nasty man needs to be fired.
The manager sounds like one of managers that used to work at the Greenville branch.

The employee working had her friend there with her during her shift and they were talking while she was working and the employee had a poor attitude. I decided to just checkout and get the stuff I currently had in my hand because I just wanted to leave the store and when I went to checkout she was still talking to her friend and had her behind the counter with her. She expressed to her friend that she didn't care and I thought she was being very disrespectful.

missing item
Extremely pissed and disappointed in this company. I made an $140 online purchase that I received today that was missing one of my items (a bathing suit top). When I called customer service the only thing they claimed they could do for me was refund my money for the top. However here I am now with a swimsuit bottom I cant wear because I dont have the top to match. I just want to be resent another top like I ordered and promptly. Included is a picture of the top that i'm missing.

Went in for an interview Spanish girl was so rude had to wait around for 3 hrs til she finally acknowledge me then had an attitude someone will get to you then continue to gossip with another employee came back to bring in a copy of id n SSI card n again she so wrapped up n her convo I had to wait til she was done then she snatched it out my hand n said under her breath this is going into the garbage after she leaves because I don't want her working here I'm a single mom n homeowner looking to work very hard because I'm n the works of trying to open my own business so this would've been a great start into fashion career for me hope you realize this young lady is making your business loss money because the atmosphere isn't accepting of customers with an negative attitude n doesn't want to talk to ppl
purchased a sweater for my daughter and it did not come in my online order
I purchased a sweater that my daughter wanted for Christmas and when my online order came it was missing. I called customer service and they said they could not "re-ship" and item. I informed the agent that the item was never shipped to me so how could it be considered a re-shipment and she said her system would only allow her to process a refund. I asked to speak with a supervisor and the women who answered the phone "Dottie" informed me that the item I purchased was sold out. How could it be sold out? So they sold the sweater I purchased to another customer I guess. Terrible business practices. I feel ripped off.
what a mess
My order consisting of 6 items was canceled because one of them was out of stock. And that is the most irritating thing ever. Why did they do it? It would be easier for them to send 5 items and send an unavailable one a little later, but they decided that how they did was better.
What a circus.
Now I have to deal with their stupid representatives who only transfer me to each other because nobody knows how to resolve my problem. When I ask for a refund they say they are (a person I talk to) not responsible for providing information like this, so that's why they transfer me to another one who doesn't know anything either.

I went to attleboro emerald square mall on black Friday Nov 24 return shirt to small ask for my money back I pay full price $18.99 got back $14.02 dats rip off it wasn't on sale I return it 2 days after I purchase it I deserve my full refund not wat you wana keep. Rue 21 is one of my favorite stores and I bought a ton of stuff in your STORE today, but I will never order online from you ever again. I had to speak with three different customer service reps (One I could barely understand) and they kept telling me false information. I wanted to see if they could edit the size of an order I had placed a few hours before I called (apparently you have no communication with your shipping department) and they kept saying I could return it to the store/exchange (no I cant) or mentioned the 30 minutes deadline for canceling an order which A. You cant return online orders to the store. B. It was an online only shoe. C. I didnt want to cancel an order I just wanted a bigger size. There is no policy/information about editing an order and it's a crappy policy/you need better communication within the company. I spoke with a customer service manager who also was no help at all and I was definetly not happy/smiling at the end of that phone call. Really horrible customer service in comparison to your store employees. The very least the manager could have said (even if it's a lie/she has no power), "I am so sorry for the inconvenience and I understand your frustration, I'll be sure to pass this along so that we can improve our policy."

on 11-5-17 I placed an order online in the amount of $163.48 after i applied my coupon code my total cam out to $97.02 I was so excited to get these items and at such a great price too. I have a youtube beauty/fashion channel and was looking forward to doing a fashion try on video. On 11-12-17 a Sunday afternoon I got the package but it seemed really small to me so I opened it to find it wasn't my items it was someone else's. It had my name and address on the outside but the packing slip and items had another persons name on it. I immediately called the customer care line and explained what happened. I was told by a man there that all they could do is issue me a refund but I would need to return the items I had received by accident first. I asked what about the items I ordered and he said I would have to re-order but my refund wouldn't be back on my card for 5-7 business days. I didn't have the money to re-order everything and couldn't wait a week or more because my sizes would be gone. So I asked to speak to a manager. A woman got on the phone and told me the same thing. These people could barely speak English and were rude and very disrespectful. I went off on her and hung up. I then noticed a phone number on the packing list of the lady whose stuff I got. I called her and sure enough she had received my stuff so we decided to mail each others items to each other. It cost me $13.50 and cost her $20.80 and Rue21 refuses to reimburse us. Very crappy customer service. I will never order anything from them again.

I placed an online order on 10/31/17 and received confirmation that all items were being shipped. When UPS delivered the bag 11/3/17 only 5 items were inside. The packing slip showed all 12 items were shipped. When I called customer service, the male rep acknowledged that they had some problems with this very thing and he would issue me a refund. I told him I'd rather have the items that I ordered. He said I could go back and reorder them and I replied that the prices were not the same since they had a 50% off with free shipping on Halloween. He said well if you reorder them and pay for them, we can issue a refund after. I was like are you kidding?
The kicker is I must wait 24-48 business hours for the investigating dept. to contact me to inquire about my missing items. So I'm not getting a refund right away after all. What's interesting is rue 21 shows my order should have weighed 10 lbs. but the UPS tracking site shows my package only weighed 4 lbs. What a racket and very deceptive. If I had not have called, they would have just charged me the full amount and never notified me.

I ordered several items, was immediately charged, and then they canceled the order (not the payment) stating that all of the items were unavailable. Without telling me, without asking my permission. Just made this decision for me.

My teenager was shopping at rue21 in [removed]. He was waiting in the checkout line and noone was at the register. He saw two associates away from the register engaged in a conversation. He didn't know if they saw him at the register, so he approached them and said he was ready for checkout. One of the associates rudely replied, "checkout is over there at the register". The other associate agreed to check him out. Considering he was a customer, that statement was rude and insulting. She seemingly resented him approaching / disturbing them requesting CUSTOMER SERVICE. Retail competition is skyrocketing, especially with so many online options. Reps should value each customer a to help ensure their continued patronage.

On August 28th I returned a shirt to the Rocky Mount NC store that I purchased in the Greensboro NC store on August 26th because it was too large for my daughter. I was told that the credit would show on my account within 2-3 days, on August 31st this was put back on my account but then AUG 31 2017 there was a Merchant credit hold for review and the credit was reversed.

I need my MONEY IN MY ACCOUNT immediately and also I am requesting an additional $75.00, this can be a credit to my account or Gift card but I am done playing games. I will contact the NC Attorney General and make everyone aware of your practices if all of the above does not happen today. You are acting as if I did something wrong when I did not. I am usually very satisfied with Rue 21's clothing, but I am very disappointed in the lack of customer service at the Cookeville Tn store. I am a single mother of a 12 year old daughter, and I am on a very strict budget. Rue 21 has reasonable prices, and the clothes are well made. I took my daughter to Rue 21 the end of July, first of August, for back to school clothes. We got some great deals on a few shirts off the clearance racks, and she got 4 new pairs of jeans, and a brawled. I was impressed with all I was able to get at such a reasonable price. With that being said, its the first of September and 3 out of the 4 pairs of jeans have either in the crouch/thigh area. They lasted about 2 weeks, and my daughter is very ocd about her clothes, so she isnt rough with her things. She knows we are on a budget and i cant afford to take her shopping all the time. She hid the first 2 pairs of jeans from me, so I didn't know that they had ripped. But the third pair ripped at school, and I had to take her clothes. A few days prior to the school incident, I had returned a lace up shirt, because the strings unraveled in the washer. Well, I left the shirt and receipt at the counter while I grabbed another shirt for an even exchange. After finding the shirt, and browsing a moment, I went to check out. The guy working couldn't find my receipt, but let me exchange, because I gave him my shirt and receipt. So long story short, I'm stuck with 3 pairs of brand new ripped jeans that I cant return, and I don't have the extra money to just replace them. If you can do anything to help, I would be so appreciative. Thank you in advance, Valeri Giacona.
