Presentation
I gave up 2 hours of work to attend their 90 minute presentation with my husband 6/6/19. They advertised "Free" gifts for listening, and I was curious what they had to offer. While not a timeshare, the cost to join is comparable. If you have several weeks to travel each year, you MIGHT be able to make it pay for itself, assuming the prices they were quoting were true. It wouldn't have worked for us. It doesn't offer discounts on air travel or meals (our biggest expenses since we often stay with family), but primarily cruises and accommodations. They were up front in saying the gifts were through 3rd party providers. That's where the transparency ended. The "gifts" were (1) round trip airfare for 2 and 2 nights hotel accommodations, (2) a $300 Restaurant Certificate (singular) and (3) a $50 Visa card if you arrived at least 10 minutes early (we did). Bishop from Branson, our presenter, told us we needed only register the certificates by the expiration date (30 days) and could be used in the next 12 months. He failed to mention there was a non-refundable processing fee of $50 and COST of $199 PER PERSON for taxes, etc. $448 is not free. The Restaurant certificate was actually 12 $25 certificates for which you had to remember to log in each month to receive the certificate. Furthermore, "possible conditions" were an automatic 18% gratuity added (not a problem since I typically tip 20%) and $50 minimum food purchase. I can't remember the last time we ran up a $50 tab for the two of us. There was also a $29.95 processing fee attached to this "free" gift. Finally, we were offered the early arrival gift, however, you needed to send a request form in order to receive a $25 prepaid card and then, upon receipt, submit another request for the additional $25. Bishop said he thought this was an unnecessary hassle and offered a "much better deal" in $500 of savings credits to a nice variety of hotel chains. When I registered the savings code, I discovered the credits were applied to reduce the "regular" price of accommodations. The "savings" were applied in small increments. I was able to find much better prices through other travel sites. While some of the representations skirted the truth, Bishop clearly LIED saying the $500 savings credits was a better deal than the $50 in prepaid Visa cards I could have received. Stating that we need only "register" the other certificates was a half truth. He was good in his wording, and I should have read the small print before leaving (wouldn't have done any good because I'm sure they had nothing else to offer), but I did my part in having an open mind and was totally taken advantage of. At least we actually received the items promised in other presentations we've attended. I'm disgusted by their practices. Thankfully, we weren't stupid enough to buy into the service.
Representatives
Very rude. Went to orientation, wrong information was given to me. The representative says " we pay for each guest..." I took time off of work, to see what they offer. The information I received over the phone, was completely different, from what the representative told me there. I really think me showing up, losing money, due to me taking time off, representative could do better then telling me about what they paid.
Tickets
I brought tickets though them and need to change the date so i can buy a second ticket. No where on thier website does it say, that i needed to call to change the date. Now they refuse to change the date, let me keep the same date or even giving me my money back. They seems to do a lot of tricky stuff to get your money and every person I called was really rude! Please beware of this place they are rip offs!

Airfare refund
United Airlines sent me an email stating they refunded you for my return ticket. I want my refund from you. I had to deal with the airlines direct since your representative was not cooperating. If my refund is not issued in the next 30 days I will be contact the Attorney General in both states. I continue to receive calls from you concierge stating they have exhausted all efforts but United Airlines will not refund. I have forwarded your people a copy of the email that states they refunded it to you on the exact date, amount to your AMEX. Margie Hall [protected]
Vacation savings
Save your money. This company is a big rip off. Attended their presentation. Price was $7995.00 for a membership, that can be willed down.
They prey on seniors with a checkbook ready or credit card. They gave 1st couple a $2k disc. When we hesitated, our price came down to $1995+545 registration fee. We asked to hold our check, for the 3 day option to cancel. The rep zack said no problem you can pick it up within the 3 days. We felt uneasy about the whole deal and put a stop payment on our check of $2540.00 early the next morning... Thank god we did. Went back for our check and he said he sent it to their main office after telling us he would hold it for 3 days. They did try to cash it. Cannot get in touch with anyone from that company, the # they gave us was disconnected. And we still haven't got our check back.
They prey on seniors. Don't waste your money. Google and read all the bad reports first.
They prey on anyone who will give them the time of day! Unfortunately I was one of their unsuspecting prey. However, they used their other name with us, Club Newport. Steer clear away from any name they use. I've been trying for months, once I found out that they had scammed me, to get a refund. So far my bank has frozen the money and I'm still fighting. They make false promises that you don't realize until you try to use your benefits. One of the worse mistakes in my lifetime!
Travel club
On March 27, 2017 my husband and I attended a presentation for a travel club membership in Branson, MO. The presenter, Mike Messenger, was insulting, degrading and thought he was a comedian. He used Super 8 Motels as an example of a bad motel. He described Motel 6 as Motel 6 and 4 bugs. Then he joked about the 80 year old people driving motor homes in Branson. Tasteless and with very poor judgement. Mike asked an attendee to leave the presentation because he had his eyes closed. (We later found out he has a medical condition). Mike continued to badgered this poor man. At one point this man leaned over and whispered something to his wife. Mike got angry as he understood the man called him an "###". Nobody in the audience heard the remark. And did not support Mike's action. Mike didn't care if we all walked out as he gets paid anyway. Did we buy! Hell, no! Not from an company that would keep someone as insensitive as Mike on the payroll. Customer service is customer service. And Mike failed big time! If I would have represented my employer as Mike did I would have been walked out the door, as I would deserve to be.
Free offer to attend
If you attend the Time Club presentation (90minutes) and are planning to get the free offerings you will be disappointed. First the two airline tickets will cost you $300. +. There is Registration fees, also Processing fees and you are not guaranteed the destination or time frame you request. Very limited where you can go or fly out of. You are also required to stay 3 days /2nights in the destination you request. You can not use the airline tickets to get to your cruise location.
The "Free Cruise" is not free. You pay a $100. registration fee, $449.00 per person (two person requirement) so over $900. You get a small inside cabin with no guarantee you can get the cruise you want but may get the cruise they give you. If you do not take the cruise they offer, you can wait and try again, if you are willing to pay the fees again.
The $100. Dining card can only be used on a web site they provide and can only be used toward there dining offers not to discount meals at restaurants.
The old adage. "If it looks too good to be true... It probably is!" apples here.
Scam
We were invited with the postcard for free airline tickets and hotel tonight hotel stay anywhere in United States.
I explained that my only interest is airfare they assured me airfare specially international was 50% or more discounted. It was extremely high pressure and we were assured once we got to review the material we would have 72 hours to back out.
There was approximately 9 other couples that will verify what I'm saying during this presentation. The presentation was a PowerPoint program showing cost of trips with this company versus using normal Expedia or Priceline and other services. Repeatedly we were assured that this company never had a complaint and there would be people to answer the phone and provide us with exceptional services in a prompt manner.
The only feature we were interested in (and we stated that not verbally but on there questionnaire) was AIRFARE!
The rep stated that we would save 40-60% on airfare - this was stated a number of times. He told us that they had an agreement with the airlines and the saving were guaranteed.
We were told that we would receive the material by mail within the next few days we waited till Monday we receive nothing. After 4-5 phone calls to them we finally got a log on that worked.
Once we finally got a account log on our first search was for airfare - where we were sent to Kayak.com - thinking this is a mistake I called the company and was told that they DO NOT offer any airfare discounts.
I explained to the rep what we were told and all I got was a too bad.
We have made repeated phone calls and have been nothing but yelled out - we even got a manager that promised to have a PPV rep call us back and that never happened . This is the biggest scam and most unprofessional bunch of people I have ever come across.

Lying about freebies
SAVE ON RESORTS tactics to get you to their talk by offering freebies is just such a scam... You get a card in the mail that looks like it is from Sowest airline offering free flights. you find out it's really not. but an offer of free airline tkts + hotel if you listen to a 90min. presentation from SAVE ON RESORTS. The gal on the phone assures you no taxes on freebies, no black out dates. You attend seminar decide it's not for you. You go home, submit paperwork for your freebie.. a month later get the info on the freebie. turns out you have to depart only Mon or Tue. Your "free" coach fare cannot exceed $200 and taxes and fees you have to pay are about $120 - $220. + plus many more restrictions. Will do my best to make sure social media takes SAVE ON RESORT down

Just like timeshare, individuals are offered free gifts to attend a presentation. We as individuals know they are trying to sell us something. We accepted the gifts for our time. I do not understand people getting upset about free gifts, these gifts are purchased from the separate companies. They do not belong to the company doing the presentations. Once, you have decided you are getting something for nothing ask are there any additional fees associated with the gifts. Free gift hunters beware! I only complain when they keep me for over 90 mins. I have started getting smarter and walk out.
They charged me $480. 00 after I returned home without my authorization
I booked a 5 day 4 night in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. When I arrived, I presented my debit card and driver's license. Everything was fine. thank you very much
Customer service
We got great price, resort was good. We listen to 90 - min presentation without any obligation to buy. This is positive.
The negative: one important thing to remember - if you go to vacation with friends, do not tell it saveonresorts.com representatives. We asked to be placed in rooms closed to each other, they immediately changes reservation our friends made and asked to pay $700 more. They do not support groups and their definition of group - people know each other (Even they came from different places, on different flights, etc.)
Saveonresorts.com has terrible customer service.

Scam
We booked a preview and room in Aruba at the Occidental Grand, after we received confirmation we booked our flight. 3 days later we received an email that we needed to contact them, they canceled our reservation and said there was nothing they could do. We contacted the hotel and the price went from $1200 to $3800 if we booked directly. What a scam!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
On 10/17/09 I booked a trip with SaveOn. My wife and I signed up for a timeshare program. We were supposed to receive Dixie Stampede tickets. After the presentation we were told that they did not have the tickets. They gave us some sub-standard crap tickets. Save-On is their agent. They booked the trip and they could care less.
Discrimination & cheating!
Half a year ago, I booked a 5 days all inclusive package from SaveOnResort. The reason I made the reservation is I thought it was a really good deal. However, just three days before my departure date, my husband got the phone call from them, because my husband was very busy at that time and didn't talk too much with them, and he transferred the call to me. The custom service determined that my husband can not speak English, and cancelled my reservation. When the next day, I tried to contact with them again, all the phone number were not in service. Even the Hotel's phone numbers!I feel so bad, what can I do now.My flight can not be cancelled, they have charged me the whole amount of this package.
Complete scam
We purchased what we thought was going to be a nice vacation package through this company. The website showed pictures of the resort room, it was listed right on the beach. and included tickets to a show. We had to go to a 2 hour time share presentation, but had no problem with this since we were saving some money. Upon arrival we were told the room was in a tower, a block away from the beach, part of the same company. The room was moldy and dirty and wasn't even close to being similar to the pictures of the nice rooms advertised. The quality of this room was very poor and even at the discounted pricing wasn't worth what we paid for it. The 2 hour time share presentation ended up starting 40 minutes after the time we got there and took over 4 hours altogether while they kept trying to pressure us for a 30k dollar time share. We will never buy another vacation from Saveonresort.com as what is advertised, is not what you get.

Unauthorized charge scam
I tried to book 2 separate vacation packages through Save on Resorts. They advertized them for $399.00 per couple. After I gave them a credit card, they came back and told me that they could not book us (2 separate couples) for that price. They said that they could book one couple for $399.00 and the second couple would be well over $ 1, 200.00
I told them to forget about it.
About a week later they made an un-authorized charge to the credit card I provided them for $89.00
When I contacted them, they told me that it was a cancellation fee. When I explained that I never had a reservation because they could not accommodate 2 couples at the advertized price, the agent told me that I needed to speak with the manager (Diane) to resolve the issue.
For several days I tried to reach Diane and left several messages for her to call me back. She never did.
Finally I got to speak with Jerry who claimed to also be a manager.
He was pretty rude and refused to refund the fee, exclaiming that I cancelled my vacation. I explained that I was never booked and did not receive any final confirmations.
Regardless, he insisted that I did and refused to provide a refund. After I told him that I would contact the BBB and post online about their practices, Jerry hung up on me.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
They are total scammers. I thought I could trust it because I called into their radio question to "win a free trip". They said I was caller #2 and answered their question correct. They charged me an "activation" fee of $299 plus "taxes" which came to $400. I realized later that the trip they offered for 4 days and 3 nights wasnt even worth the value of the fee they charged on my credit card. When I tried calling their customer service line, they knew it was me every time because they had my cell number saved. Each time they make an excuse as to why they couldnt refund me and the manager is out to lunch. They would have him call me back but of course that never happened. When I finally told them I'll just dispute the charge with my bank, they magically were able to refund me without the "manager". They said it will take ten days to process back on my card, we will see what happens.
We were caught up in the same scam. This week however, we were contacted by an agent from Transfer Wizards LLC that says they are looking into the scam from this company and can get some or all of our money back. Their charge is 45% of what they recover. So, if we could get back 55% of what we paid in, at least that would be something, right? I am leery of this company however. I can't find anything about it anywhere. My fear is that somehow they would get our credit card credited, at which time we have 5 days to send them their 45%, then that credit would be revoked somehow. Not exactly sure how it might work but I sense another scam. Has anybody dealt with this?
Cancelled reservations
On August 1st, 2008 I booked a three night stay at the Best Wester in Ormond Beach, Fl through SaveOnResorts after being solicted by telephone. After confirmining and receiving a confirmation for my stay, I paid for tickets to an event(Daytona 500) at the cost of $400.00 plus $300.00 for airfare. Yesterday I received a call from a representative from SaveOnResorts advising me, my reservation had been cancelled due to overbooking. They advised there was nothing they can do for me except refund my money. I feel I was scamed which this company took my funds for 4 months and left me now with no place to stay. I contacted their legal department which I am waitng a response. I feel this needs to be addressed as I am sure many consumers have been victims of this company.
the most terrible customer service I've seen in my life,
the most terrible customer service I've seen in my life
Doesn't specify whether or not the money was refunded? Seems to hint that it was. If it was blazon fraud, seems the money wouldn't have been. Looks like this could have been an honest mistake. Most unfortunate, as they should be able to deliver the goods they promise. And that the company definitely needs to take more safe guards to prevent this type of mistake. And probably should compenstate him in some other way other than just a refund. However, correct me if I'm wrong, but keeping under a $1000.00 for 4 months is hardly worth the interest to "commit fraud". Seems to me it was bad planning.. not a scam.
