Unauthorized charges
I've tried cancelling subscription numerous times since April 2020. However, the charges continue to be deducted. I finally canceled my card to stop additional charges.
I have opened a ticket #3485294 with scribd and have not heard back.
Update: I heard back from Scribd and they said that I was the one who reactivated it - same day which makes no sense. Why would I cancel several times just to have it reactivated? As of today the message shows "will be canceled" when it should show canceled.

Unsolicited membership charges
Hello, I'm writing this complaint because my mom has been suffering from unwanted scribd membership charges ($12.99 a month) for a few months now. We have no idea why this is happening; both my sister and I had accounts but my mother's card was never used on any of them. We've tried getting help from you and from the bank to stop all this but so far no luck. Last month my mom even changed her debit card number in an attempt to stop this, but today noticed another pending charge from you guys! If you guys could at least contact us so we can figure out what's happening it'd be a great start!

Scribd has been deducting 9.99 every month from my checking account. I tried to locate my account but can't seem to find any account that has any membership. Scribd unauthorized monthly charge
I did my account on Scribd this year and then I cancelled the subscription but then I was getting charged monthly by this website, which I've cancelled many times before but it just kept charging me, I don't know how to delete the account and I'd like a full refund too for the 3 months I've been getting charged without my consent. Unauthorized membership
I don't ever recall creating a membership with Scribd and giving them my card information, but they've been repeatedly month after month charging my card. A few months back I even swapped my card to prevent this from happening and disputed the charges through my bank. fast forward to today and I go online to check my bank statements and see that they are still able to charge my old card despite it being cancelled. WTF! Are you kidding me. This must be illegal to be charging cards like this. Remove my information.
Desired outcome: Remove my card information and ban me forever from utilizing any of your services in the future. Just remove my card information.
Unauthorized credit card charges
I have tried unsubscribing from Scribd after finding out that they were charging my card when I wasn't using the service. I have been charged for half a year of usage that I wasn't aware of. I tried again for the past few days to unsubscribe on the website but when I log in again, it says I have to cancel my subscription again. I have been charged almost $100 for a service that I wasn't using. I don't want a credit, since I'm not using the service at all. I'd just like my money back.

Unauthorized Monthly Subscription Payments
i have only noticed recently that my account has been charged for monthly fees of Scribd's subscription. I haven't even used their services and I only inputted my debit card for the purposes of a free trial. I have been charged approximately 500 Pesos or around 8$ per month and I want a complete refund for all of those payments. I did not even avail of their SERVICES for a single time in any of the past months or year. Please help me get my money back.

I canceled my account 4 months ago, but you keep billing me. The CitiBank says all I can do is get a new card.So I canceled my credit card and got a new one and you billed the new one! When I look at my account it shows no reading history, and no credit card on file but you keep billing me. I want a refund for the last four months by check, since now I have to cancel my new card and get another one and there is no way I'm giving you my new credit card number.

I have been notified that my account was compromised by this company. I have never had an account, applied for an account nor do I know anything about this company or its services. It's pretty frustrating when a company misuses its authority and prey on the public for its own financial gain. Billing 8.99 monthly
Today, April 25th, 2021, I looked at my visa bill and noticed a payment I didn't recognize. A $8.99 USD charge from "Scribd Inc [protected] CA" .
I went through my billing statements, and I have been billed monthly starting July 24th 2020 . This adds up to more than 80 EUR .
I never subscribed to this service. I checked all my regular email addresses and I have never received any mail from them. Before today I had never even heard of Scribd.

I was charged on 2/21/21, 3/21/21, and 4/21/21 all of which I thought I wasn't being charged for at the time. The website has you click through a bunch of stuff before it is actually canceled. I thought I had gotten through all of the clicks but apparently not.

Scibd payments taken from account for three years without a direct debit and without realising I was signed up

I have only just noticed that I have been paying a monthly amount of 6.53 GBP, is this since January 2018?
But I didn't know I was signed up to Scriber and I have never used it since the first time
I request a refund because I did not know I was subscribed and I have never used the service. It was taken from a bank account (Halifax) that I never log in to, by DEB, but I don't have a direct debit set up for it, and I have no idea how to cancel.

To add...I found my history, and it tells me that I read 4 documents ever, everything else was 0. Zero books, Zero audiobooks, zero snapshots, zero articles and zero songs. Only 4 documents, which must have been the only time I went on your website in December 2017!

Android app login error
When I use the "continue with google account" option to login on the android app, I get a box that says "you have been logged out, please sign in to continue." I have the latest updated version of the app. My support ticket numbers (for the same issue) are: 3269781 and 3233510. I tried clearing the data/cache for the app from my phone but that didn't work either. Interestingly I've had no issues with the "sign in with email" option, so I made an account with a different email address. My free trial expires on 4/18 so I really need to cancel it before I get charged.
Desired outcome: I want to cancel my free trial on my google account, delete that account, and just use the account I made for the "sign in with email" option.
