Sedgwick Claims Management Services Workers comp claim service and unpaid medical bill

My daughter has had nothing but problems with company starting with no communication from her Workers Comp claims examiner. Her incident date was Nov 19, 2021 and all she has received was initial 'welcome' packet and then the form to confirm her treatment was complete. Her claim was closed Jan 18, 2022 with no notification and with an outstanding medical bill that the examiner was aware of since Dec 12, 2021. She has sent 4 emails through the 'contact examiner' link on the claim, 6 emails directly to him, 1 email to general box, 2 voice messages at his extension, and 2 voice mails on the general mailbox. The phone number listed on the claim to call if she has questions on a closed claim is a wrong number. She has not had ONE return response! To date the medical bill is still due and she cannot get any help.

Desired outcome: Medical bill to be paid before a negative mark is placed on my daughter credit.

Like many of the other comments, if I could leave a Negative rating I would. My workers comp claim examiner has not responded to ONE message I have sent. The claim was closed 1/18/2021 without notification and with a medical payment due (as of today 2/3/2022) that the examiner has been aware of since 12/14/21. I have sent 4 message directly through my claim account, 6 emails directly to examiner, 1 email to general box, 2 voice message to examiner, and 2 voice messages to the general mailbox - all with NO response. Phone number provided to call if you have questions on a claim is a wrong number. If your company uses Sedgwick, good luck if you have a workers comp claim!

It sounds like the examiner feels your daughter had no injury. I am becoming quite an expert for I have seen a few wc at my work it is a big company. I would like to know if you dont mind how was your daughter hurt? Did she immediately report to Mgr. Or ASM. Did they have her call the hotline to Sedgwick immediately before leaving work? Did she go take a drug test and be seen at a Nextcare or similar Dr provided by Sedgwick?

Sedgwick Claims Management Services Payment of temporary disability

I suffered a heart attack on Nov. 26, 2021

I filled out the forms with all my Nordstrom, personal and banking information and submitted it to sedgwick. I have spoken to sedgwick representatives and received mail stating deposits were made to my checking account.

I have not received any money. Please respond and or send money.

Sedgwick Claims Management Services Sedgwick failed to inform walmart of my leave of absence

I would love nothing more than to give positive feedback, however, the handling of my claim has literally DESTROYED my life. I returned to work on 12/12/2021 after being on leave due to COVID exposure. I suffered a fairly substantial knee injury where I could no longer bend my knee & when I would pivot and/or twist, structurally, my knee felt like it was going to give out. So on 12/13/2021, I called in due to personal injury and went online to start a claim related to such. On 12/15/2021 I went online to check the status of my injury claim and it was nowhere to be found, so I thought it was maybe due to not uploading the corroborating paperwork. So from 12/15/2021 thru 12/17/2021i attempted to upload the paperwork several times and each time, I would be alerted with "unable to perform function due to low memory." My phone had plenty of available memory and storage so I tried with two other devices only to get the same alert message, so I contacted someone through your communication portal and explained the problem I was having and their response was "try again later, I'll let tech support know." My medical excuse had me off of work through 12/18/2021, so on Sunday 12/19/2021, I did the health screening before my shift and failed it because 4 kids in my stepson's class tested positive & eight kids in my daughter's class tested positive for COVID on 12/14 & 12/15, respectively. We pulled them both out of school on 12/15, and by 12/18 we were all very sick. So due to failing the health screen I was instructed to stay home through 12/31/2021. So, I went online and it stated that (paraphrasing) "... if I was already on leave & needed to request more time due to.." and it listed a few different reasons, one of them being a failed health screening, then I didn't have to open a new claim, I could change my return to work date. So I thought that was all I had to do, so I looked for my claim change my RTW date to 12/31/2021, which is an off day for me, so technically my first return to work date would have been 1/2/2022. However, I still couldn't find my claim, I didn't understand what was going on because whenever I would hit submit to submit the claim, I would get a thank you notification stating "thank you, your claim..." it would list the claim number ".. has been received." So I'm thinking that you are receiving my claims because I'm getting that notification yet when I would go online to either check the status, to upload documentation, or to change my return to work date I couldn't find the claim anywhere. So I thought maybe I had to file a new claim because I was coming off of leave due to injury and starting a leave due to COVID. So, I filed a new claim for COVID with first absence being 12/19/2021 through 12/31/2021, my first shift after that would have been 1/2/2021. On 1/2/2022, I was on your site trying to find my claims again to no avail and I caught a glimpse of the word "Terminated". To make a much longer story short, I called my supervisor that evening to ask him why I was terminated and he said dude to no call no shows, mind you, I called the Walmart Associates line to report each and every absence I have ever had, I explained to him that I had been on leave (he was the person that told me to get my knee looked at & to submit the necessary claim to Sedgwick.) He said they never received anything about me being on ANY leave except for the one from 11/29/2021 through 12/11/2021. Much to my dismay, I couldn't understand how this was possible cuz as I mentioned earlier, each time I would click on submit to submit my claim I would always get the thank you notification that my claim had been received. I explained to him everything, every step, just as I have explained it in this message to you. He said if I could provide proof that I was supposed to be have been on leave for those dates that they would reverse my termination and I would be able to jump in right where I left off. This was right at the point where all my benefits we're just about to kick in because I was approaching my 90 days of employment with Walmart. So the following evening 13/2022, I went to work and met with my supervisor and gave him all the evidence I had, he stated "I absolutely believe you.. 100%, but what I need is something from Sedgwick stating that"yes Dorian Haggerty was supposed to be on leave for these dates."So I tried calling Sedgwick on 1/4/2022, wait times were more than 90 min, so I requested someone call me when my place in line came up, waited all day and the next and never received that return call. So, it was on 1/6/2022 I believe, when I called back and waited on hold close to THREE HOURS before I was finally able to speak to someone. At the end of that call, I was confident the rep fully understood what the problem was, after all, she basically regurgitated everything I had just said to her to confirm exactly what my claim was for and the dates it covered, which was from 12/13 thru 12/18/2021. That being said, a few days later I received an email from Sedgwick stating that they had been informed that my employment with Walmart was terminated on 12/26/2021 so they were therefore closing my claim... SMH... I was speechless.. I had already told them this more than once, I was terminated strictly because Sedwick NEVER informed my supervisors that I was on a leave of absence. The rep I spoke to on the phone knew this, understood this, and assured me she would let my superiors know that I indeed was supposed to be on a LOA for those dates, so I would then be able to get my job back. But... they dropped the ball again, by closing my claim because I was terminated by Walmart SOLELY because.. Sedwick didnt inform them of that claim in the first place. Now, if I may explain, how this has completely ruined my life. First, my payroll check that I received right before Christmas was almost nothing because my injury claim wasn't on there, even then I thought that it due to the fact that it just wasn't covered by the policy, I had no idea it was because the information that I submitted, (on SEVERAL occasions, AND was given a notification that my claim was RECEIVED by Sedgwick's website) was NEVER sent to my job and I was fired STRICTLY because of THAT failure. So, not only was I fired, it ruined Christmas for my children. Due to me ruining their Christmas, my fiancee left me, so my children won't speak to me, I am now homeless, I have had to sleep at a homeless shelter, on concrete floors, on the bus, anywhere I can close my eyes for a few minutes without having to worry about being robbed, beaten, stabbed or shot. I had a home a month ago, a house, a nice house.. in a great neighborhood. Ive been battling severe depression, I've even contemplated suicide a few times because of all of this. All the benefits that had just kicked in for me as a Walmart employee, were no longer available to me. There is literally not one area of my life that has not been affected by this. And the worst part of it, the figurative"salt on the open wound", is that I did everything exactly how I was instructed to do it, I was simply following the instructions in each and every step of this process... And as a result, its as if my entire world was thrown into a garbage disposal, because it has been that catastrophic and that rapid when it comes to ripping apart my entire life. And I don't know if Sedgwick has ever given that information to my job because I have yet to get my job back.. I just don't understand how this happened or why this happened.. I never will!.. and unfortunately, even if you could fix the situation, you would never be able to FIX the situation! I guess I'm just another unfortunate soul that it happened to. I hope, hell, I PRAY that no one else EVER has this same experience, it is extremely hard to keep it together when everything you have known is falling apart or disintegrating before your very eyes. Your system is fatally flawed, and anyone I have spoken to at Sedgwick seems to be completely incompetent, or at the very least, incapable of doing the job they have been hired to do, because I don't know how much clearer I could have been in my explanation of the issue. I lost EVERYTHING because of this. I HAVE LOST EVERYTHING! Never even received an apology.

Wow. I am so sorry for what you've endured. I hope things have starred to get a little better in your life.. I too am going thru something similar. My child tested positive, and I needed to quarantine and care for her.. my LOA was too closed because I never tested + .. ..never recieved ANY pay..and went thru my savings while caring for my daughter..my return date was 6/5 and I've been there every day(team scheduled) yet I'm NOT active in system.. my HR told me if I can't get sedgwick to approve a LOA, I'll get pointed for each day eventhough I called out per One walmart and did as website directed..and followed guidelines set forth by CDC (which I BELIEVE supercedes sedgwick) but.. here we go, another day off being spent on hold trying to get this issue resolved!

What a joke i was sent home by my manager at walmart because after 2 energy shots 2 monsters and about to start on my 2nd Starbucks coffee my boss whom I was doing a project with witnessed me falling asleep standing talking to her like eyes rolling in my head. Well as we all know it takes time to get into the Dr and then a specialist and what Dr wants to fill out medical disability papers if they don't have any answers yet well turns out I have internal bleeding and am basically lucky to be alive my dr provided a dr note to try to make sedgwick happy until he got my results in but no go I provided them my entire medical record while we waited on the Dr to complete my paperwork the next day I go on to check on my claim and to my dismay no open claims no evidence or record of a claim even existing I ran myself in to the ground for that place coming in early staying late being the runner with my bosses keys because no one was in sight or to he found while still keeping my pick rate up as i was ogp scalling racks like Spiderman to get that item for an order that just had to be gotten but no one to help or even try to help you working threw a broken ankle because they were so busy working threw an injury that flayed my leg open like a fish because they were slammed in which I am still trying to get to heal 6 months later and they do Mr like this really u lived breathed that place and have begged mt manager not to make me take leave and now I'm [censored]ed I was already severely depressed because of all the crazy symptoms a severe lack of red blood cells causes but now I'm just done I don't care so [censored] it I stopped taking my meds last night so I shouldn't have to worry about surgery or be reminded of what a failure I am everytime I go outside and see the store because my red blood cell count is as so low I was told ya the meds are gonna have horrible affects but there temporary If you don't take the meds it's a permanent outcome sorry for any spelling errors as the condition has hopefully temporarily taken almost all my sight. Dies sedgwick care NOPE they dont even have the respect to take the time to respond to communications you have sent them despite being deathly I'll and having to deal with ins doctors test etc etc and jumping there hoops on top of it mind you while your sicker than crap

I am sorry and as much as I can say that Sedwick is a pourly ran company. Sir your beef is with WALMART, you can't open a claim. That is the responsibility of your direct manager who has to report the injury to Sedgwick who in return opens the claim then you are assigned a claims by a mgr who calls you within 48 to 72 hrs depending if a weekend. He/She will take your statement down on what occured he/she has already taken the managers statement. You are then sent to a Nextcare or some type of cheap fly by night doctor where you will take a drug screen and then get xrays if needed. That is how it is handled so again your grievance is with Walmart.

Sedgwick Claims Management Services Workers compensation claims

Sedgwick has never paid me correctly. They paid me as working with restrictions for months. They miss payments and refuse to pay them. Shut off my comp the day before I even see a doctor and the day of my surgery. They refuse to answer my lawyer or me! They are a joke and should be shut down. Anyone who has been dealing with these unethical criminals should contact all your news stations and government agencies until they are shut down. They are a 3rd party processor and they truly only try to figure out how to get away without paying you!

Desired outcome: I want all the money's owed to me and for them to stop playing with my money! To stop shutting my checks off before I even see the doctor

Second I couldn't understand her for it sounded as she just woke up to answer my call and I could hear someone in the background snoring. She was not very professional at all. Sedgwick Claims Management Services FMLA Care for Spouse

Sedgwick keeps asking for frequency and duration so they can approve my case and I keep going back and forth to Kaiser asking and demanding my wife's treatment frequency and duration.

Kaiser informs me that all I need as a Caregiver is already provided on the WHD Wage and Hourly Department form they have given me. My wife is currently going for chemo and Sedgwick denies and closed my claim.

My wife was diagnosed last 11/2021 for IDC Stage 3C Breast Cancer. Oncologist wrote on my Caregiver Status Report that I be excused 1-3 days each week as needed to provide care to my spouse from 11/21 to 02/22.

I even got tired speaking with Sedgwick's Rep that I went to Kaiser ROI and asked Kaiser ROI Rep to speak to them and ask what they need to approve my claim.

Sedgwick wanted their own forms be filled out by the doctors but certain healthcare provider like Kaiser has there own forms they fill up for us to hand to our employers.

Sedgwick is an insurance company that I pay my dues straight out of paycheck that instead of assisting me get through this unwanted event with ease, adds more mental and emotional stress on what we (my wife and I) are already going through.

Every time, I need to contact my Examiner (which seems to be change daily) I have to go through a representative and leave them a message and then informed that an examiner will return my call in 2 business days in an unknown number? What's up with the unknown number? Are you a fraudulent company? I receive a lot of fraudulent calls and just to talk to you, I now have to answer all unknown numbers that I receive WOW!

I am so sorry that you are going through this with your wife. These people are RUTHLESS they have a MOTTO when they hire adjusters you have to be cruel and be able to deny every disability short/long term claim meet you quota. These [censored] ( dictionary) have no heart.

Sedgwick claims to be there for the injured worker, I have had nothing but issues from Emily Taylor who has gone out of her way to drag on my workers compensation claim. She acts as if she is a doctor and knows better than orthopedic surgeons. I would like to see her MCAT scores she couldn't take care of injured farm animals. She's about as pathetic as Tradesmen International.

Sedgwick Claims Management Services Sedgwicks validation and loss adjusting

We had a visit from a dreadful man at sedgwicks yesterday at home in Cornwall and I was left so upset.
He was sexist, patronising and rude and refused to look at our surveyors report or photos taken and only looked at the front of the house and didn't even go around the back where he would have clearly seen 2 damaged tiles from recent storm damage.
We have had 3 storms in a row hit cornwall since we moved in 3 weeks ago, one was a named storm with severe hail and extreme winds. We moved in literally on the day of the named storm 3 weeks ago and had a comprehensive survey done less than 2 months ago showing the roof to be completely in damaged and dry.
Within a couple of days we noticed water coming into the ceiling in the top rooms so called our insurers immediately.
They sent a validator from Sedgwicks. He kept repeating he had to get to Southampton but the end of the day and was in a rush so was determined it was condensation without looking at any evidence we had or even the back or the house.
My eldest son and our builder were just as shocked as I was at how he behaved. How can you assess a roof if you only see 50% of it? He was sexist towards me, rude and patronising and they are committing fraud by charging my Insurance company Aviva for a job they are not doing properly.
They are a complete disgrace and clearly employ dishonest and unqualified unprofessional people to fob off claims.
I was so upset by the end of his visit and his blank refusal to look at our recent survey or any evidential photos we'd taken that I immediately wrote to make a formal complaint and also lodged a complaint with our insurers and will now be contacting our local MP, the media and anyone and everyone I can to expose this appalling and fraudulent behaviour.

Sedgwick Claims Management Services burglary claim not paid

I have a storage unit at Public Storage, I pay my bill monthly including the company insurance. My unit was burglarized, a police report was filed, all information was sent in and I have not heard from anyone! I have left emails, voicemails and still nothing! I can never get anyone on the phone and it always goes to voicemail! This company is a scam! My claim was filed September 27, 2021 and here it is almost January and I am still trying to get this claim taken care of. I had the police called on me by the staff there on the day that I was advised my unit was burglarized! I want my claim paid for all missing items!

Desired outcome: I want my full claim paid and communication from the company

I too was burglarized at Public Storage. Sedgwick Claims will not pay because I don't have receipts. Who the heck keeps receipts for everything you own? The claim will only pay 3% of what was stolen anyway, so what is their issue? Are they so miserly as to not pay a small claim? Everyone keeps telling me to take them and Public Storage to court. I am starting to think they are right.

Sedgwick Claims Management Services My claim denied

I've been out injured since [protected]. After many attempts I finally got thru the hurdle and started getting paid from Sedgwick. Then on [protected] my claim was denied when my fmla ran out. I have foot issues and have had the same injury since this started. Now the only thing that changed that got me denied was my fmla running out. I walk around my house with my walking boot on and I recently got crutches. It has been three months since they denied my continued claim saying my injuries don't support my claim but they did it he whole time before until my fmla ran out. Then I'm told there sending my office notes and everything to Pfizer to look at but Pfizer is obviously on Sedgwick payroll so how do I even stand a fair chance of getting my claim approved when there paying the doctors to look at my notes. Note problematic for me is that there making a decision and not once examining me foot in person to even know what's going on. I feel like Sedgwick has acted in bad faith dealing with my case from the start to protect there bottom line. Sedgwick sees me as nothing more than a number on a board to get back to work at all costs, no matter the effect this has had on me emotionally and physically. I'm having daily chest pains to the point where I'm having to see a cardiologist for a stress test and him putting me i medicine that I wasn't on before this started. My car has been repossessed this the third month I haven't been able to pay my rent. Doctor gave me a letter to go back to work for light duty which was told Comcast doesn't have at this time

Desired outcome: I want to get my back money from the time they stopped and be treated fairly

Sedgwick Claims Management Services Disability insurance

I lost my brother in august due to Covid 19. I had a relapse in depression and have been unable to work since august. I saw treatment but due to case load and lack of physicians I was told it would be at least three weeks until my first available appointment. These uncompassionate individuals denied my claim for lack of treatment and notes didn't show full disability. They indicated I was in treatment 2 x a week for anxiety, disassociation and depression. I am a single mother of 3 and have not been paid since Oct! My doctor back dated my disability and took me out until Feb 2022. This is ridiculous

Desired outcome: Pay my claim from 8/12!

Sedgwick Claims Management Services closes claim while still in PT

Sedgwick took 10 months to open my claim and closed it while im still in PT. Was hurt at work in jan disnt get pt till nov 2021. rep was on vaca for 2 weeks and didnt assist me in anyway. They closed my case with im still getting care. had to end care today. I wasnt paid anything and still need physical therapy.

Im a single mom and getting hurt more then once at work because of unsafe work conditons or being asked to perform duties i wasnt trained on.. shouldnt be my fault. I shouldnt have to be forced to quiet my job because they wont fire me or offer me any hours. issues with the employer, sedwick and the state for discriminating against me. Im disabled and shouldnt be treated like this.

Desired outcome: physical therapy, work comp, to be treated like a person, makes changes so others arent treated this bad, lawsuit if no solition is met.

Have a few options for attorneys but need a team that actually cares about my civil rights, heath rights. Im a sexual assalt survivor and this whole situatiom feels worse then getting raped.

Sedgwick Claims Management Services Case Manager

Josh Arnoldus claims examiner with Sedgwick will not do his job causing me delays in treatment. Causing delay in payment for over three weeks while off work with a workplace injury. Josh refuses to reply to my emails regarding the status of my claim. Due to Josh Arnoldus not doing his job I have not had income for over three weeks. I had to call everyone else to get to Josh and still he has not followed up with me. I need someone in a position of authority to deal with Josh Arnoldus and the unacceptable practices of Sedgwick.

Malaya that is how I have found they will do you if you don't complain. I have been on wc for approx 33 months. (Poor case mgr) and in the beginning she played that game with me because they can before they can be fined/penalized. Call corporate ask for his supervisor if she/he is not in ask for their supervisor keep going up ladder until you get a person make sure you get the name and extension number. When you get through with call hang up call back ask for that extension number/name make sure that is correct information for future use.

This seems to be a top down method of operation for Sedgwick. My original case worker, Abbie Marcom, stopped responding to my calls and emails and also ignored the calls left for her by the doctor's office that Sedgwick authorized me to go to. I finally got my employer's HR department to get in touch with Sedgwick, but the person who called me, said his name was Joshua and claimed he could not provide any last names, had no idea who Abbie Marcom was and told me that the only person he has in my file as my case worker was a Michael, who I had to call to find out his last name, Mallory. The only way I knew his last name was because it was on the recording I got when I called. I finally had to get an attorney involved, just to get a response from anyone at Sedgwick.

I have a workman's comp claim for being sexually assaulted 4 weeks ago. I was sent a text message, finally, after 4 weeks of no income and no medical treatment offered by my employer or their insurance, that I had something to revue online. I barely had my first mental health session today to deal with the trauma I'm going through... and I'm on the verge of being homeless from the assault that happened at work. I was hoping this information that was posted would be my one glimmer of light at the end of this dark tunnel I've been in all month. I tried over and over and I just couldn't get registered to view the documents because it didn't recognize my claim number. I called the adjuster... no answer... so I left a voice-mail. I reached out to tech supporters for help... and things went from bad to a nightmare. (I've attached the records of each person I did a live chat with by copying n paying it to a word doc). I had to reach out several times over and over and over again because they did not listen to what I was saying, they would disconnect, and they were extremely rude. By the time I got to the lady person... I was basically toyed with and made a joke for their office.. in the conversation minutes I attached here... you can see where they talked amongst themselves even and just passed me around, playing games with me. I'm in such a fragile state right now... I just am ready to Crack. I'm literally suicidal and just came from a mental health facility to get help for the sexual assault I endured at work, for the claim that their insurance company is handling. I'm so upset that these people find humor and enjoyment out of tormenting others. I even told them that I was not in a good place with my mental health from the PTSD I'm suffering right now... that messing with me was not ok... that I'm in a state that I can't handle this... nope... they just continued on. I'm outraged. I'm filing this vomplaint and plan to take it further. I'm so upset that an insurance company allows this type of behavior.

Kristal, I certainly hope that this letter finds you doing well. I certainly do not know how you put up with that nonsense. Those 2 ** were ***. I do hope by now that you have hired a female attorney to handle your claim. This has to be hard on you all you need to do is worry about your mental state certainly not about 2 ** boys playing ** whats your favorite color over and over again. Sedgwick hires Only the BEST down to earth rude, incompetent, careless, IT, CS, case mgr nurses and case mgr I know for everyone I have dealt with in all those areas they have the same qualities.

I pray that you have gotten some counseling for that had to have been a very traumatic event in your life. Take care mam.

Sedgwick Claims Management Services Short term disability denied

The examiner at Sedgewick denied my claim for short term disability, because she could not comprehend brain fog. That was not even my full diagnosis. I'm a covid long hauler, and suffer with multiple health problems after having covid almost a year ago. I was diagnosed with insomnia, panic attacks, chronic inflammation, the inability to focus/concentrate, anxiety, and severe depression. I worked until I no longer could, and have been battling with Sedgewick for over 12 weeks now. I reached out in writing multiple times, with no response. Though her notes say differently. The examiner only asked for the last two office visit notes, and my problems stem from January. Due to lack of effort, no follow up, and the inaccuracy's documented, the denial has caused my health to get worse. I am currently enrolled in an outpatient behavioral health program, after being admitted involuntarily to a hospital for four days with thoughts of suicide.
My FMLA ran out, and I had to request a personal leave of absence. I will have to pay COBRA 773.00 a month, and owe my employer 12 weeks of insurance premiums. I was told that I will need tests and documentation to "prove" my case, if I want to win. How do you test for brain fog, anxiety, panic attacks, and thoughts of suicide? Is it because I didn't sustain a brain injury from an accident, that is visible on an MRI? Or could it be that the examiner was not a clinical? Mental health is not always visible, but the symptoms are valid. I did not need to battle this with Sedgewick while fighting mental illness. I don't know how to pick up the pieces, live my life again, and not worry how I'm going to pay for COBRA, with no income. All because a trained professional did not understand brain fog.

Desired outcome: help with an appeal, and for the examiner to be disciplined appropriately

Sedgwick Claims Management Services Short term disability

I have not been paid since august and have no money to care for my family regardless of how I stress this information to them still no help. I have submitted my required documents from my doctor and Sedgwick used information from another claim instead of reviewing my doctors information that was faxed. It has been 2 months with no pay or help I get told a new date every time I speak with someone and have been hung up on several times after waiting hours to speak to someone I just want this to be over.

Desired outcome: For my claim to be reviewed properly so I can get paid

Sedgwick Claims Management Services Case Manager is not allowing tests ordered by DR.

I have just seen a physician after a long battle of even being approved to see one. However he wanted other tests performed but has been denied. I am curious as to how the Dr. treating you can request tests to help you heal and treat the problem, but are denied. I also would like another opinion to see if another course would be helpful. This has been a long almost 4 month journey.

This seems to be Sedgwick's MO. Sedgwick has refused to authorize treatments that the doctor that Sedgwick sent me to has requested. Been in severe pain for over 6 months.
After 4 months, Sedgwick did authorize my being able to have an electric stimulator to ease some of my pain. Now, Sedgwick will not authorize replacement pads for that stimulator. They do everything they can to get people to either give up or make mistakes that will allow them to dismiss your case. They must have a way to remove any ethics genes from employees, or they just hire people who have no concept of ethics.

Sedgwick Claims Management Services Customer service getting approval in a timely manner

Every single time paper works due the ball is dropped month over month my case managers never request documents needed from my doctor I am constantly having to call and be on top of the process my documentation is submitted in a timely manner every single time I have to call and beyond somebody to get it escalated because we dropped the ball no letters go out to me letting me know whether it's approved or not approved I have to just guess and keep on it every single month every time it comes time for my approval I don't know that it's not approved because until my supervisor sends me something that says oh you were supposed to be back at work today then I have to get on the phone escalate your customer service reps are rude not all of them my case manager Tiffany B is very rude I requested Tiffany have her supervisor call me call never happened you could look at my request month after month requesting for a supervisor to call me I've spoken to one in the many times that I've requested a supervisor to contact me my doctor has requested my return to work date when she will release me as December 1 she's requested this month over month every single month it's It gets we will approve you to this date so I'm constantly having to get documentation and I have to be on top everything it's very stressful have anxiety and panic attacks I am doing everything I'm supposed to do taking my medication going to the doctor take trying to take care of myself this adds so much stress and anxiety to me because I can't breathe constantly wondering if it's going to be approved if it's not gonna be approved if the drop all‘s going to get dropped and I am really unhappy with this process I have never had such horrible customer service been treated so badly I think my doctor knows better than a nurse when I should go back to work! I am asking please for somebody to review my case see how many times month over month I've asked to speak to a supervisor see how many times the ball is been dropped something needs to be fixed her with this process this is not ideal for people especially going through mental health to have to deal with these kind of things and have the ball dropped every single time there been times when I have not gotten paid because the ball is dropped I have bills to pay and kids to take care of and my mental health to try to take care of so I can get back to work how can I do that when every single time I have to give you guys something I have to be on top of you to do your job please help somebody a manager of the nurses manager I don't care who is manager to review this and approve it for the timeframe that my doctor requested so that I don't have to deal with this every single time it's time for approval because it's very stressful when you guys don't do your job

Sedgwick Claims Management Services Communication and follow up is horrible

LUMEN uses Sedgwick for short term disability. Sedgwick is horrible at communicating. I have to call them 3+ times and ask the customer service representative to log a complaint and a call back request for the claim processor, Kristina, to call me back. I have left 4 messages with Kristina's supervisor Loraine and have never received a call back from her. Kristina needs something new from my doctor every few days before she will approve my claim. In the meantime I am trying to recover from major surgery while stressed out and worried about my claim with them. Today I opened an HR ticket with LUMEN (the company I work for) and asked them to get involved to have someone from Sedgwick reach out to me to get this resolved. Claim# 4A2109D4G38-0001. - Donald
