Hi I will send you a picture of 4 gallons of my paint that inside has been completely rusted you can see that the paint is still liquid form which shows that I cleaned the inside of the rim and I put the cans lids on properly now unfortunately this paint wasn't usable because of the rust pieces I did go to Sherman Williams in Whitby and still purchased your paint product because that is my preferred paint I couldn't salvage any of it fory kitchen touch ups .I suggest that Sherwin does a paint can such as behr at home Depot . because the paint itself is my number one choice.
Driveway Paint
I used your product a year ago and within 30 days it started chipping away. I thoroughly cleaned and pressure washed the driveway prior to applying your product. It has continued to get worst. My neighbor has experienced the same results.
I am open to suggestions, remedies, partial reimbursement or store credit. I am enclosing pictures and a copy of my receipt.

Ordered and paid for paint in advance due to time constraints. Got home w paint. The trim had not been mixed. Was semigloss white.. phone store. Clerk said I had to bring it in. I said it was very inconvenient. I was under time constraints. Clerk was silent. I said don't I at least get an apology. Why? Wasn't my fault, he said. So, I purchased it. I am an experienced painter, and know what I am doing. I finished the ceiling this a.m. (11/17/2021) and have OVER a HALF GALLON of paint left.
I could have saved money and bought a half gallon, money is tight these days, I am a widow, and now am stuck with over a half gallon of paint!

I purchased 2 5gallon buckets of paint. The 1st 5 gallons no issue, the second bucket had lots of what would be dry paint all through out the paint. When questioning this to the sales rep I was told this is normal in 5 gallon bucket. I’ve never seen this before in any paint I’ve purchased. Having to strain paint to use seems ludicrous. Adds lots of time and aggravation to the process. I only use sherwin paint and will continue because of quality, disappointed though.

I've been shopping at Sherwin Williams for a for years and have An account with Sherwin Williams for years. What I don't understand is for the past 3 months you guys have been out of semi gloss latex and oil base paint in Southeast Texas. Weather it was from a freeze or whatever, this is it's very poor management and bad service. You have people that need paint and you're constantly 100% and plus, All the time out of semi glass latex and oil Base paint. I am told several times they get trucks in on Friday, on Monday and when I call all the truck hasn't been and if it has been there is little to no semi gloss paint on the truck. If Sherwin Williams want to keep the customers then produce the product. Because as of right now I don't hear any good word about Sherwin Williams from any of my customers and contractors. It is a pisspour excuse why there's not more paint being manufactured. If this continues I will never by your paint and take business else Where's.
Refund of deposit on a spray Gun
On 2/12/20 I went in to the store at 2 Montowese Ave in North Haven Purchase material and rented a spray gun. I left a $350.00 Deposit for the spray gun that was required by store. The deposit was put on my Visa Card # ending in 6493.
The Gun was promptly returned however the deposit never to date refunded.
I had went to store several months after it was picked up during accounting and the manager was not in. the representative researched the receipt and said a CASH Return was made. This appears to be a possible inside theft. why was my credit card never credited back the $350.00 deposit.? I certainly didnt receive cash back. I called again on This issue and was told the manager was off and someone would be back in touch. No one has responded.This is my final attempt before ITake legal action . Exterior House Stain, A15 TQ 8054, [protected]
Last year we extended our back yard deck and painted it with the above listed stain in 3021 SPICEWOOD. This spring I noticed that on a few boards the stain is peeling in small patches along the wood fiber. I suspect that treated wood used was not completely dry when painted last year. I went to a local S-W store with the empty can of the original stain for "refill". To my surprise the agent informed me that the stain I was using is good only for vertical (not walked on) surfaces. For horizontal surfaces exists another stain. Before that one is used the surface must be stripped down to bare wood before the new stain is applied. The instructions on the original can of the stain mention "deck" with no further specification horizontal or vertical surface. Which, as a key info, should have been included to avoid a difficult situation as one I am in now. So, now shortly after my 85th birthday, I am facing a new project: stripping about 48 sq. meters of deck and re-stain it. Any suggestion on easier way out?

I had my pool deck painted back in October last year. the paint started pop in some places. My painter Gus .came back in March to fix .Jason the AGENT from Sherwin-Williams told him that he would not let the warranty for seven years stand .He came up with different things to void the warranty. First it was I was dragging thing( everything I have is on wheels) Then it was the way I power washed the area. Went to Sherwin-Williams in Springfield, Tennessee today to get 5-gallons of ProMar 200 Interior flat latex... Young lady (employee) said they didn't have any! Said Sherwin-Williams was having a problem with their "refineries" manufacturing the "stuff" that made the paint flat... I said WHAT? Told her I was familiar with latex and I was pretty sure that latex paint had nothing in it affected by a refinery. She corrected me and said YES it was! I ended up getting ProMar 200 latex eggshell... Then, I identified myself as a retired employee and she ran my purchase and tried to charge me $255.00 for the 5-gallons of paint... I was floored as J had offered to show her my retiree ID for proof! She consoled with another employee and I was charged correctly, $125.00 for the 5-gallons.
My point is that I have a "boxing match" EVERY TIME I try to patronize Sherwin-Williams... I'm going to continue to buy with Sherwin Williams however I would appreciate having properly trained sales staff!

Gloss enamel paint
This paint is so bad I can't see it ever being ok to use. I spent two days sanding down a kitchen door and making it perfect. I purchased the paint at a local Sherwin Williams store and attempted to paint the door. I got through the first coat with extreme difficulty. It's like thickened, sticky Elmers glue. It clumped, bubbled, clotted, and did NOT spread well at all. It looks absolutely awful. Now I have to spend two days doing the door all over again. I'm pissed, disappointed, and dissatisfied. Will be returning for refund, but I'm certainly never going to use Sherwin Williams paint again. A nightmare disaster.

Sherwin-Williams has a very poorly explained return policy. In picking paint from the display cases at a Sherwin-Williams store, it is not explained that this is tinted paint and therefore not returnable. This is not a reasonable policy, considering these are colors that they themselves offer. I should be able to return THEIR color paints within the 30 day window.

Stain matching
In the past, I have gone to Sherwin Williams stores to get a stain color matched to refinish existing woodwork or furniture I was refinishing. It was simple, probably took a day, and the color match was nearly perfect. Recently I went to the Sherwin Williams store in Trenton, MI (a block from my home) to purchase some stain match and was treated like they didn't want the business and really had no interest in doing any stain match. The woman at the counter rudely overruled another employee that was attempting to help me and I left the store furious, since I have purchase all my paint and stains there since 1988.
I then went to the Southgate, MI Sherwin Williams store to try again. I was told they could do a match, but it would take about 5 days, and maybe even 7 days as they were pretty busy. I accepted their plan and left them a drawer having the desired stain I wanted matched, and a piece of bare matching wood to test the stain match. They were to call me when my stain was ready. After 7 days, having not heard from them, I called and was told they were close but needed 1 more day to get it right. I said okay, call me when it's ready. I did not here from them for another 4 days so I went to the store. The stain was still not ready but I was promised they would get it done quickly. I saw the match progress on the bare wood I gave them and agreed it didn't match. I told them I would be back the next day to get either the stain or my drawer back if they weren't finished. About an hour after leaving the store I was called and told the stain was ready. I went back in the next day and was shown the sample wood showing the stain. I asked about the match, since the stain had been obviously brushed on heavily and not wiped. I was told not to worry, it was a good match. The store did not charge me for the stain and apologized for my wait. After returning home, I tried the stain on one of the 6 matching small tables that I'm refinishing the tops on. The match was terrible, not even close. I called the store back and told them how bad their match was and hung up on them before saying something I would regret if I was to listen to more of their lame excuses.
In a few days I'm going in for some surgery and will be out of commission for at least a month. I plan to use the time I'm laid up to research other stain match sources and places to buy all my future paint and finishes. I think I'm done with Sherwin Williams. Your stores only care about their commercial customers and walk in customers just seem to be an unwanted distraction.
Desired outcome: Train employees on stain matching and some customer relation training wouldn't hurt. Review whether walk in customers are even wanted in your stores anymore. Lots of places to buy paint and stain if you aren't interested in dealing us.

my name is Dena Dellicompagni and on 1/30/2021 I went into Sherwin Williams 705630 Pottstown, PA and ordered 10 gallons of paint as there was a nice sale going on and I was going to be having a few rooms in my house painted in the next few weeks. After going back and forth with associate Brian about what kind of paint was needed I decided on ALL flat paint for my rooms as we were doing a kitchen, two story foyer, upstairs hallway, master bedroom (which has never been painted and still had the builders grade on the walls) and master bathroom (which has never been painted, has a vaulted ceiling with a lot of drywall damage that needed to be fixed). Brian and I spoke about possibly doing a stain in the bathroom but once he said that satin would show all the imperfections in the walls I decided that flat paint would be the better option. I ordered SW6386 Napery for my two story foyer, upstairs hallway AND master bathroom. I ordered a 5 gallon drum of it and another gallon just in case. Over the course of the next couple weeks my painters started painting. This past weekend on 2/27/21 they needed another gallon of the Napery as they were running low so I went in and associate Brian was there again, he looked up my file and gave me a gallon of Napery flat paint. Saturday night after it was all dry I noticed all sorts of roller marks and a difference of color. I spoke to my painter and I looked on my receipts and noticed a formula difference. I called the store today and spoke with associate Ed and found out that the reason for the formula difference was bc the extra gallon I received on 1/30/21 was a satin gallon not a flat, but it was the SW6286 Napery color. I spoke with Ed and he told me they would fix it and give me what I needed once the painter came and told me how many gallons would be needed to fix it. Well, then a little while later associate Brian who helped me originally on 1/30/21 and this past Saturday 2/27/21 called me and asked what happened. I explained to him that my painters were painting and needed another gallon and that after they were finished I noticed roller marks and the difference of color. He then ventured to tell me that the one gallon was a satin and that's why. I told him I did not order a satin and reminded him of our conversation about satin versus flat and that the same color was being used in 2 separate areas. He argued with me that my painters should have noticed it was satin. But how is that possible since the same color was being used in 2 areas? I had a 5 gallon drum of the paint in flat so why would I only buy a gallon of the satin? He continued to argue with me, telling me it was my painters fault and not his. He said he would never tell a customer to use flat paint in the bathroom. But I reminded him that he told me I would see imperfections so I decided to just go with the flat all around. He could not understand that the same color paint was being used in 2 areas so that is why the painters did not study the satin paint can. Brian was extremely rude, telling me that my painters were incompetent and that he could've made a purple paint in that can and asked if they would've noticed that. I told him of course they would because it would have been a different color. This was not a different color, it was the same color used in 2 different areas of my home, why would I get only one gallon of satin? Now I have no idea how many gallons we will need to correct it since I am sure they used the paint to touch up other areas because they had no clue one can was a satin finish. I am extremely disgusted with he level of customer service I received after spending almost $700 in that store. He offered to give me a gallon but said if touch ups are needed because the painters didn't read the can that's not his problem. But, I am sorry but it is his problem. Now I have to pay for more paint and pay my painters to come and fix it all because he gave me the wrong gallon. He then asked me why would he take the time to make the can of satin and put "bathroom" on the lid label if I wasn't using the satin. I told him because he made a mistake that's why. I feel very strongly that Sherwin Williams should pay for this to get fixed.

Lifetime warranty on exterior duration paint. Honor it or remove it.
In July of 2011 I had my house painted by a professional painter in Bridgeport WV. He sold me on the Duration brand and I had used Super paint many times so it was an easy sell. Around 2016 I had to remove a large tree on the sunny side of the house. Shortly there after I started noticing large sections of the paint scaling. I will be selling the house next year and I wanted to replace the peeling paint. (it is much worse today) I went to the store, the manager was on vacation and employee said to call customer service. Two weeks later I reached customer service who told me to contact store. In a series of phone calls, and promised phone call returns that didn't happen I was told the manager was going out to the house and take some samples... on November 9th. On November 10th I spoke to her (Megan) and she said they were sending them to a lab and she would call me when results came back in a week or two. By now I am getting the impression SW is looking for any way possible to get out of honoring the guarantee. Today I called back, since I did not receive a call again, to find out the results "just came in". Of course there is moisture and "vapor" in the paint samples in addition to 12 coats of previous paint. I inquired if it was not advisable to paint over paint. Of course that is not the case but there must have been an issue with one of the paint jobs done by my painter or a previous owner. This is garbage. There is no possible way to tell when this moisture or "vapor" occurred. It could have occurred while peeling the past five years. She is telling me they will not replace the paint to cover the two sides that have failed. The guarantee was a huge factor in my deciding to use this product. I don't expect a reply or any satisfaction. And we all know I have no choice but to buy the paint and repair my house. However, I am going to be very active in making sure this doesn't happen to anyone else. I will be filing a complaint with the state of WV attorney generals office in regard to this "guarantee" as well as social media. That's what is so bothersome... if you aren't going to stand behind the product, don't guarantee it. Period.

Those cans are years old, I'm a contractor and haven't seen those labels in a long time. Also rust forms on metal cans which every paint company sells. I wouldn't expect any fix from the paint company. In the future you need to leave your paint in insulated rooms without humidity/moisture
I recently lost three cans of paint due to rust on the interior of the cans and lids. One can had never been opened after leaving the store. The employees at the store were not interested in helping or making things good. Really frustrating.
