emerald satin paint
I have purchased several gallons of paint from the store in Seekonk, Mass. The problem is I just bought paint, Lemon Meringue, and the paint was so thin it took 2 gallons to paint a 12 x 10 bedroom. We painted over a light grey, and to be honest it could use a 4th coat.
I have never had a problem with any of your products so I was very disappointed this time around. When you spend $60 some dollars a gallon on paint you expect better quality than you would get with paint from Home Depot or Lowes.

Over the past year or so each time I go into your Sherwin Williams store in Tobago, Trinidad and Tobago, the store NEVER has the SW product I want.
Today, I again went into the store to purchase an item and again the store did not have it. The male clerk that was attending to me found out that some store in Trinidad had the item but needed a supervisor to authorise since they could only order a certain number. When I asked to see the Assistant Manager, the clerk went into the office and she told him to close the door. He spent about 10 minutes with her, and then came back out and said that she was having lunch. Note the door was opening earlier and she was not having any lunch as she stated. I asked if I could see her only for a moment he then went in spending about another 10 minutes and came back out saying, no she could not see me. Please note that this lady who is the assistant manger has always been obnoxious, rude and has absolutely no customer service skills. She is a horrible, obnoxious individual.
Since I had all the details of the product I wanted, I went to one of Sherwin Williams competitor in Tobago, spoke to the manager, gave her all the details with a paint sample and she was able to give me exactly what I needed.;
It is most disgusting to have to go into your store and deal with such obnoxious behaviour especially since 2016 I have been purchasing Sherwin Williams products and now when I need to touch up or need additional product I am unable to get this after sale support. Very horrible of Sherwin Williams. You have me use your paint in my home and now you are not willing to provide after sale support by providing the necessary products.
I will make sure and let everyone in Trinidad and Tobago know of my experience - using your product to paint my home and then having your staff refuse to provide the product for touching up and completion. I have used only with your product in my home and now I am unable finish and have to choose another product.
I will also lodge a complaint to the Consumer Affairs Division in Trinidad and Tobago and all the necessary bodies so that other customers do not have this same experience.

I am a sherwin Williams fan, I have purchased many gallons of your paint as it is superior. I went to the store above and purchased 5 gallons of exterior paint but due to shortage of base I was informed that more would come in on Thursday 6-13. Due to time constraints and living an hour away I called ahead to get the other 2 gallons needed. The manager said he would have it waiting on me at 2 o' clock. I arrived at said time without receiving said product. Due to time constraints I did not have time to wait. So now I have to drive back an hour there and an hour back home for the product I should have received today. I would like to see better customer services thank you

Two years ago I purchased 4 gallons of the super deck and dock coating. I did this in the summer, very hot, and followed all the instructions. It is now 2019, and the stuff has peeled up very badly. This was supposed to be a 10 year product. Now I have to redo the deck with something and it won't be this product. My husband and I are in our 70's and can't do this again. Very disappointed in this product and a supposedly 10 year guarantee.

Yesterday, 5/7/2019, I was driving along Grove Street, in Fayetteville, NC, at 9.30am and encountered something I never have before. One of your trucks decided to get into the left turning lane, where I was, right in front of me. I slowed down, but they they changed their mind and moved into the first of the right lanes which went straight. The only problem was that they decided they needed to block two lanes of traffic. Which obviously didn't bother them but I did upset me and the other driver. We had to wait thru a change of light because neither of us could move forward until your driver decided to do so. He almost hit the both of us but that didn't seem to bother him either.
His truck number was BT 7137. I believe it was his license number but I'm not sure, I was so shook up by then.
I really do hope something is done about this. I consider such driving to be reckless and dangerous.

I was driving home the other night heading North on Rte 3 in the Burlington MA area and one of your truck drivers almost ran me off the road. We were lucky we had heavy traffic and wasn't traveling more than 10-30 mph. I was clearly on his right side when he started to move over but I had to move into the breakdown lane to keep him from hitting me. I have this on my video cam. He then started to harass me riding my bumper and honking. He got off at exit 26 which is rte 62. You can see the time and date in the photos I'm attaching. I couldn't get a plate number because of the glare.

paint - agreeable gray color
I am purchasing a new home here in Las Vegas from Richmond American builders, and the paint they use for the interior/exteriors is Sherwin Williams. In the elevation my husband and I chose there was a gray color pallet called Agreeable Gray that includes:

Mega Greige trim
Griffin trim
Iron Ore garage door
Black Fox front door
My house is now beige with brown/beige trim.
When I asked the builder to send me a copy of the paint scheme I chose from their book the colors were gray in the photo, but the house is beige. When I went online to the SW site the Agreeable Gray color was actually gray. When I went one step further and went to the SW store to get a color sample the sample card is beige. How the hell can beige be called Agreeable Gray?!? There is nothing gray about the color. And because the houses don't get painted until the end I have no recourse with the builder for a repaint in a different color; we're stuck and will have to repaint at our cost later.
Why on Earth does a paint manufacturer call beige gray? Their entire job is to make paint and paint colors, and to know the difference between gray and beige! Now I get to spend a few thousand dollars more getting my house repainted, and that's assuming the HOA approves the new color.

employees mistreat customers & refuse to sell paint
Visiting the Oviedo Sherwin Williams store was the absolute worst experience I've ever had in my entire shopping life! I simply wanted minimal assistance in selecting which paint product best suited my needs for painting my family's new home. There were different prices and textures and after a few minutes trying to understand the differences in the products I expressed frustration by joking, "Maybe I should have gone to Home Depot." In response, the extremely rude employee at the counter said, "You should have gone to Home Depot! 'm not selling you paint today!" He actually refused to sell me paint, so I told him that the Corporate Headquarters would be very unhappy with the way he was treating me and I sat at the table and dialed the Sherwin-Williams 800 number on my cell phone. While I was waiting for assistance on the phone, the same employee who refused to sell me paint called the local police who then came to the store and informed me that I had to leave and not come back. All I wanted was to buy some paint sample quarts in the correct texture, but that employee decided he didn't like something about me (maybe my coloring/pigmentation?) When he refused to sell me paint, he did not tell me to leave his store, or I certainly would have left. He also did not inform me that he was calling the police! I have never been a criminal and I do not deserve to be treated like one by some teenaged employee who doesn't know how to help an older lady buy paint for her home. The Store Manager (Maria) was pleasant to me a few days before when I bought my ceiling paint, but then she never even listened to my side of what happened after I waited in the parking lot next door for almost an hour for her to arrive to speak with me. A little searching on the internet shows they have quite a turnaround at that store. Maybe they should hire polite employees who actually sell paint to people who want to buy it. Boycott Sherwin Williams! AGAIN!

This is a ready-made product (not a custom mix). We were told this was an exceptional product (they were out of stock on the product we requested) we paid extra for, based on assurances of durability.
We painted several doors and other items in the house. It dried flat (no sheen) and we have hesitated to clean any of the areas for fingerprints, etc. because we feared permanent spotting. They told this was the same finish, but higher grade than what
we requested
We're asking that this gallon be replaced, or replaced with "the grade lower" to guarantee a satin sheen to match what we have.

I had my house in Apollo Beach Florida professionally painted 5 years ago. Prior to painting I researched various exterior paint products by various manufactures. Some were Sherwin-Williams, Behr, Glidden, Clark Kensington, Valspar, Benjamin Moore, and Olympic. The house was originally painted using a contractor grade paint. I don't know the manufacturer. The house was 10 years old when I had it painted. It was originally a very light tan with brown trim. The paint was in fairly good shape considering the grade of paint and its age.
After my research I decided to go with Sherwin-Williams Duration. My painter agreed it was agood choice. He explained it has very good dirt shedding capability and should last 10 to 15 years. He power washed the entire house and applied two coats. This first was sprayed and the second was sprayed and back rolled.As it states on the paint can this had "UNSURPASSED LIFETIME DUABILITY" and a " LIFETIME WARRANTY". I chose product number 6346 Fame Orange with white trim. I received a lot of compliments when it was done. People also asked about the color and the brand. I highly recommended Sherwin-Williams Duration.
Last year I noticed some yellow bleeding through in some places. I also noticed some green mildew on the back and sides of the house. I had enough paint to touch up the yellow bleed through. I had the house power washed. The green mildew came off but under it was black staining. How is Sherwin-Williams going to address these issues. I am not a happy camper.

On July 20, 2018 I visited the Somerset, KY Sherwin Williams store to purchase stain to restrain my vacation log home on Lake Cumberland. On that day Sherwin Williams had 40% off all paint and stain. I needed 15 gallons of Duckback stain. The store did not have it in stock and had to order it. The clerk assured me I would get the 40% off when the stain arrived. The stain cost was regularly priced $54 and some change. The clerk said the stain totaled $498 plus sales tax. I was told the stain would arrive on July 27. I came back to the store on that date but the stain had not arrived. I was told it would arrive the following Monday. For the third time I drove 20 miles from my lakeside cabin to the store but the stain was still not there. I was told it would arrive the next day. I called the store that day and still no stain. The stain, which was ordered on July 20 did not arrive until early September. When I went to pick the stain up the clerk wanted to charge me $868, which was $370 more than the price originally quoted on July 20. I refused to pay that amount and had to cancel the job with the contractor I had hired to stain the home. I could not get an explanation from Alex the store manager. I do not think they actually gave me the 40% discount that I was supposed to get. I filed a complaint with the corporation but a week has passed and I have heard nothing from them even though the web site said an associate would contact me in two business days. I guess the next step is to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and to write a review on Angie's List and other web sites. This treatment of a long time customer was not right.

The circumstances in regard to my firm's issues with Sherwin Williams date back to July 2017 when our Sales Rep left the company.
We average between 15 to 20 transactions daily and spend $5, 000 to $10, 000.00 on a weekly basis in SW Stores throughout Central Illinois.
Due to the volume of purchase transactions, there are often errors with our invoices that need to be looked at and corrected. When a Rep was involved the corrections were resolved proactively, however, at this time we are spending countless hours on our end managing the corrections.
After numerous to our District Rep to have a Sales Rep allocated to our account, we were assigned a Rep to assist us. The Rep we were assigned does not follow through with commitments and has a unacceptable communication skills. Again, we are spending hours each week administratively managing the mistakes.
Since the new Sales Rep is not effective and the District Representative is seemingly unwilling to get involved, I am reaching out to corporate to see if there is someone else that can assist us with the admin items that need to be addressed?
The store managers and employees do an excellent job servicing us which is why I have not already simply found another vendor. Our business is valued and appreciated by the store managers and their teams- they show us this by working hard for us, going above and beyond their call of duty, etc... It is the Sales and District Reps that are creating the issues and lack the work ethic to resolve these situations not only after the fact but also in proactively finding solutions that will prevent the same errors from reoccurring.

I bought a brand new can of paint this evening and the associate did not secure the lid. By the time I got the paint home and carried it in the house (before noticing it) it had spilled on our brick walkway, hardwood floors, ruined my pants, and I later realized it had spilled all over the back of my car. Hello, my name is Tim Mulcare, the owner of Clover Maintenance, Inc. I've had an account with you for almost 30 years. We used to have decent service from you but the last few years, it has been very poor.
We dropped off a previously stained cabinet door and 2 pieces of unstained maple to match up the stain on the door. They never acknowledge my wife when she walked in the front door and was waiting in front of the counter, is the first complaint. When they finally acknowledged my wife, they said it would take them 3 days to match it and that they would give us a call when it was done. Second complaint: They never called to let us know it was done. Third and most important complaint: When my wife went into the store to pick up the stain and the cabinet, again, no one acknowledged her when she entered the store. She stood in front of the counter for 5 minutes while 3 employees were standing in front of the paint mixer talking. The manager, Russell, was in the office and walked right by her without saying anything or acknowledging her and went over to the paint mixer and started talking to the 3 workers by the paint mixer. Still not one person acknowledged her and the manger was walking back toward his office again without acknowledging her. She then said, "is anyone working here"? The manager, Rustin, turned and came to the register and said, "yes, we are working. It may not look like we are working but we are?" My wife said " it would be nice if someone acknowledged that I was standing here and said hello, or I'll be with you in a minute, or at least a gesture." Then the manager had a very bad attitude towards my wife from that point on. Then my wife said "the service sure has changed in here since Jason, the old manager, left."
It surly didn't look like anyone was working and if they were, they would have acknowledged their customers.
There have been numerous times that myself, my wife, or anyone of my employees have gone in that store and have not been acknowledged and had to wait for up to 30 minutes to be acknowledged. This, I feel, warrants a complaint to corporate.
My wife feels like it may be a little discrimination because she's a women without painter whites on. But, like I said, its happened before to myself and my employees.

I was hired on at the Danville VA Sherwin Williams. Hires for fast advancement. After working for less than a month I was interviewed for Assistant Manager of the South Boston location. Two days later the DM text me and asked if I was ready to be a part of management, then called me. He stated I was perfect for the position and deserved it as I had preformed extremely well just as I had said I would. However he then went on to say that I would have to cover my tattoos to get the position. Thing with that is my tattoos are not in violation of company policies. After speaking with the HR manager serveral times he himself stated that my tattoos were indeed not in violation of any company policies. However I was expected just to continue to work my part time position with no extra hours or pay when in all reality I should have been the Assistant Manager of South Boston Store. The only reason I didn't get the position is because upper management was not clear on tattoo policies. Of course before I was able to shed some light on what the tattoo policy states they had filed the position. Unacceptable and unprofessional!

My wife had got some paint from your store and is not really the exact
tint we were needing.
Did not open the paint went back to the store for a refund but was told
I could not get our money back cause the paint had been tinted.
So my question is this, is all you sell is white paint cause if not technically if
you are selling other colors paint has been tinted at one time or another to
get other colors.
I feel that this is a scam to get money out people.
Your attendant did not make her aware and their are no signs stating that
if paint is custom tinted and wish to return the merchandise that at no time you
get your money back.
So I am contacting my lawyer if I don't get my money to have your tainted policy
reviewed and amended some how.
If your wife is too stupid to know what paint color she wants, that's not Sherwin Williams's fault. They shouldn't have to pay for custom paint that would be very hard to impossible to re-sell because a customer doesn't know what they're doing.

While driving to work on Friday, 4/20/2018 at approx. 1:30pm a Sherwin-Williams van would not let me merge onto the 405 Northbound at La Cienega. I was forced onto the shoulder and almost lost control of my car. I took a picture of the van and its license. California plate 29189N1.
Please have a discussion with your driver and remind him he is representing your company poorly when he drives aggressive and reckless.
