Don't use Ship Sticks
If I did my research, I wouldn't have used Ship Sticks.
Going from California to Illinois - they lost my clubs (and all my equipment). It's been 3 weeks now, and just going through the claim process, which will cover a quarter of the value.
Ship sticks is essentially a middle man. They don't own/control any part of the shipping process, just facilitate it through the regular channels (fedex, ups, etc). Pair that with all these lost bags (on multiple customer review platforms), the assumption is they're a pretty big target for theft. I wouldn't trust them with high value items (financial and/or sentimental).
Go the airline route - Southwest allows free check-in for golf equipment, and UA counts sports equipment towards your checked bag allowance (subject to fees). Or ship direct. Fedex does not offer insurance, but you can declare value per shipment - and at least you'd be dealing with them directly in the same scenario.
Recommendation: Avoid - use alternatives
Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service. They didn't deliver on time, and I'm not even sure if they will deliver on time even though we dropped off early and paid extra for early delivery. They haven't offered any resolution. Don't use them!
I used Ship Sticks to ship my golf clubs from Minneapolis to Tucson
I used Ship Sticks to ship my golf clubs from Minneapolis to Tucson. The clubs were supposed to arrive on 11/29, but they still haven't arrived. I've tried to get this issue resolved, but all I've gotten are excuses and no clear answer about where my clubs are. They used UPS, and even they have been giving me the runaround. I won't be using this service again!
First and last time I used Shipsticks
First and last time I used Shipsticks. I sold a golf club case online for $50. The buyer paid $50 for shipping. I shipped it through Shipsticks (because they care), and the case arrived on time but it was broken. Shipsticks said they will give me back the money for the case, but not the $50 for shipping because it arrived "on time". So now we're out $50. I'm only giving them a 1 because they're giving me back the money for the case.
Ship Sticks has awesome customer service
Ship Sticks has awesome customer service. It's FedEx, their subcontractor that messed up and didn't deliver my clubs. My whole golf bag, travel bag, shoes, golf balls, and other stuff are nowhere to be found. FedEx lost or took them. Ship Sticks is doing a great job trying to locate them. They've been missing for a whole week now. If you decide to use this service, make sure to attach tracking devices to your bags. Don't blame Ship Sticks, it's all FedEx's fault.
Despite their claim to have international shipping expertise, if there is a problem, be careful
Despite their claim to have international shipping expertise, if there is a problem, be careful. I had to call the FedEx team in Ireland/England to find out what was happening with my clubs. To cut a long story short, the FedEx people said, "If Ship Sticks had called yesterday, this would have been resolved." As a result, I had to rent clubs for the first three to four days of my golf week in Ireland. It was a complete amateur experience.
Honestly, it's like zero stars
Honestly, it's like zero stars. ShipSticks didn't do any of the things they said they would. They picked up my clubs a day after they were supposed to. They didn't deliver them on time even after changing the delivery date. They lost them. And now, except for the insurance I paid for, they don't want to make up for the difference. So now I'm gonna be out $2,000 because of their terrible service. Don't use ShipSticks. They messed up at every step, even in the end by not doing the right thing and offering to fix everything.
My story is too long to put on paper
My story is too long to put on paper. Bottom line... due to Ship Stick's poor communication and limited operating hours, my International shipment was late for my Ireland "trip of a lifetime". My wife and I incurred costs of over $2000 for club rentals and golf accessories needed to play. Of the six games I played on some of the nicest courses in Ireland, my wife and I played with rentals on three of them. As of now, all that has been offered in compensation is 30% off the cost to ship. Unbelievable! I will let it be known every chance that I get that this company is not to be trusted and would never recommend that its service be used.
I gotta say, Ship Sticks is like the worst biz in the whole industry
I gotta say, Ship Sticks is like the worst biz in the whole industry. As a golfer and a businessman who's always on the move, it's a real pain when my travel plans get messed up for a bunch of reasons. My crew ain't ever gonna use Ship Sticks again, that's for sure. Their way of doing biz is just not acceptable, man!
Now, let me tell ya about the communication with their claim service department. It's been a real headache, I tell ya. They're supposed to be in the service biz, but they ain't provided any service at all. I filed a claim for damages to my golf travel bag, golf bag, and golf grips. And guess what? All of 'em got messed up while they were in Ship Sticks' hands. But they've been mishandling my claim from the start and not keeping me in the loop. It's a real bummer, man.
I expect 'em to sort out this claim today, not tomorrow or next week. If they don't, I'm gonna up the value of my claim to $2,000 and add in some legal fees. They better get their act together, 'cause the ball's in their court now.
If I could leave zero stars I would
If I could leave zero stars I would. Good rule of thumb during a pandemic where travel restrictions are limited especially with something a smaller percentage of Americans are utilizing (Golf) these days you would think holding on to customers would be a good idea. My bag was shipped home and my wheels were completely ripped at around a 2 ft length and completely unusable at this point as the wheels will not roll as it was damaged on return. I sent pictures, communicated the day I received the bag and their claims department continued to not accept it as they tried to get out of responsibility. I have 6 trips scheduled this year they are losing business on now. It's such a mediocre way to treat customers who drop $200 or so to ship golf clubs when I could easily check them at the airport. What a joke of a customer service company. Please expect any damages they will not be of any support for those looking to utilize the service.
Ship Sticks ain't really a service
Ship Sticks ain't really a service. I've tried everything to work with customer service, but they ain't helpin' much. What happens when Ship Sticks loses yer clubs? Well, in my experience, nothin'. Okay, maybe not nothin'. Ship Sticks gonna spend weeks "lookin'" for yer clubs, talkin' to some ghost person at UPS or FedEx, tryin' to find 'em. Then, when they give up, they gonna tell ya that it's yer problem and ya gotta rely on the insurance policy ya bought. Ship Sticks don't take no responsibility for their own mess-up. Yer lost clubs, yer problem. They ain't gonna help at all. I can't remember a company I've used before that refuses to own up to losin' yer stuff. Their whole business is just printin' labels for UPS or FedEx. What happens next ain't their concern. It's the worst service I ever used. I regret it big time. I can't recommend trustin' 'em with yer business.
Worst experience ever with a company
Worst experience ever with a company. Ship Sticks, which is like a fancy label printer, lost my whole set. FedEx came to get my clubs and they never saw daylight again. I work in insurance, so I know you get what you pay for. But I gotta warn y'all about Ship Sticks and their false ads, bad customer service, and shady practices. They promise "hassle-free delivery, guaranteed delivery, better than the other guys." But from start to finish, it was the most stressful, inconvenient, and expensive mistake I ever made. They don't care about your bags or where they end up. They can't even fulfill a simple order. It's a joke when I see their commercials, 'cause everything they say is the opposite of what I experienced. Why compare yourself to other businesses like airlines and logistics companies if you're just as bad? They don't offer any benefits over other logistics companies. Now let's talk about their customer service... While I'm sure they're nice people and all, ShipSticks is a mess. They'll do anything to shift the blame and take no responsibility. Lost clubs? It's FedEx's fault, not theirs. During the claims process, they give you generic answers like "we'll keep trying" and "we're sorry," but they never actually do anything. They won't even show you any proof of their "efforts" when you ask for it. Want an update? You'll have to wait for a generic email or sit on hold forever. I wasn't happy with how they handled my claim. It felt really unfair. So, here's the bottom line: if you use this company (which I'll NEVER do again), make sure you get insurance for your whole bag. Who would've thought they could lose a whole 6-foot travel bag?

I shipped a package thru ship sticks
I shipped a package thru ship sticks. The package is lost, and ship sticks has no idea where it is.
Ship Sticks doesn't stand by their policy of insurance
Ship Sticks doesn't stand by their policy of insurance. They hide different things on their websites. If you ship in your club glove last bag like I did, they won't pay for the damage to the bag. They destroyed the top of my bag and the zipper was completely torn off from there. Does it say they won't cover it on their page when you book? No, it is hidden in a claims page. They don't even say to look at the claims page for what is covered and what isn't. The page you book says the coverages. It is deceptive. I'm out $400 on my bag due to their lack of insuring that it arrives in good shape. It was shipped from *** to my home and arrived at my house on 4/20/2022 and the pictures of the damage are attached. Tracking ID I want a replacement for my bag due to their deceptive advertising and damage that cannot be fixed.
I sent my golf clubs to my vacation spot 12 days ago, but they still haven't arrived
I sent my golf clubs to my vacation spot 12 days ago, but they still haven't arrived. It's been 4 days past the expected delivery date. I scheduled the shipment in September, planning to send them from Minnesota to LaQuinta California for my golf trip on November 27. They were supposed to arrive on December 4, giving me 10 days to enjoy golfing. However, as of today, December 8, they still haven't shown up, and Shipsticks has no clue when they will. It's been a real hassle for me. I had to buy golf balls, a golf glove, and even rent clubs for 4 rounds of golf. Renting clubs costs a hefty $50-75 per round. Shipsticks offered me $200 as compensation for the inconvenience, but their "policy" won't let them go beyond that amount. I anticipate having to rent clubs for the next few days, as there seems to be no end in sight to this mess. I honestly don't understand how this company manages to stay afloat with such poor service.

I used ship sticks to ship my clubs to Ireland for a golf trip
I used ship sticks to ship my clubs to Ireland for a golf trip. The clubs arrived 5 days late, so I had to spend a lot on renting clubs, shoes, rain gear, and stuff. I reached out to them when I got back to ask about getting my money back, and their international boss said he would help me. I emailed them and called a bunch of times, but they never replied. Every time I called, they said the international boss was "on another call." I attached a copy of the email I sent to this complaint thing. I have receipts for everything I spent and can show them if needed. In my email, I said I knew we had to talk about the cost and find a solution.
I sent my golf bag with Ship Sticks to Key Largo, Florida for a family vacation
I sent my golf bag with Ship Sticks to Key Largo, Florida for a family vacation. I used my trusty ***r Tour bag that I've flown with many times, and packed it properly. I shipped it on 3/22/2022 and it arrived at Ocean Reef Club on time via FedEx/Ship Sticks. But when I picked it up, I was shocked to see that one of the outer shoe pockets had been slashed open, completely ruining the bag. And to make matters worse, the stiff arm I used to protect the clubs inside the bag had been sheared and snapped. I asked Ship Sticks for reimbursement to replace both items, but they denied my request. They said that because I used a soft travel bag, it was reasonable to expect damage. But in my opinion, the bag was handled with complete carelessness and suffered way more damage than I would consider reasonable for a package.
Shipsticks lost my golf clubs
Shipsticks lost my golf clubs. I told them about it, and they said they would look for them. But it's been like a whole month or more, and they still haven't found them. And guess what? They won't even help me pay for the loss. They're saying I can only get money from the insurance I bought when I signed up. But that insurance doesn't cover the full value of what I lost. Ship Sticks won't fix the problem, they just gave me a 20% coupon for their service in the future. I've been asking them over and over again to make things right because it's gonna cost me around $4,000 to replace everything. But they keep saying it's my problem to deal with. This is the worst business I've ever dealt with. I want them to give me back the rest of the money or replace my special golf clubs that they lost. I mean, come on, their whole job is to ship golf clubs. And they couldn't even do that right. They messed up and won't fix it. I hope the ComplaintsBoard.com can help me out so I don't have to sue them. I really don't want to, but if I have to, I will because Ship Stick's behavior is just so terrible.
On 2/10/2022, I reached out to Ship Sticks to come and pick up my golf clubs from my house on 2/14/2022
On 2/10/2022, I reached out to Ship Sticks to come and pick up my golf clubs from my house on 2/14/2022. They were supposed to deliver them to the *** by 2/21/2022. I had a coupon from Dick's for one-way shipping, so I only had to pay $98.96. I also included a $200 Shipment Protection Plan in my payment.
However, on 2/21/2022, my clubs didn't show up at my hotel as expected. I contacted Ship Sticks, and they assured me that the clubs would arrive the next day at the *** golf club, where I had reservations to play. Unfortunately, the clubs still didn't arrive on 2/22/2022. This forced me to rent clubs and buy accessories like a glove and *** to be able to play.
I immediately informed Ship Sticks about the situation and expressed my desire to use the $200 Shipment Protection plan to cover my out-of-pocket expenses since my clubs didn't arrive on time. On 2/28/2022, I filled out the claim form and sent in the receipts for the shipment protection plan. Ship Sticks issued a $200 check on 3/21/2022.
However, when I deposited the check into my bank account at *** it bounced due to insufficient funds on 4/19/2022. I wasted no time in calling Ship Sticks to report the issue. They assured me that a new check would be issued, and they would also reimburse me for the bank charges incurred due to the returned check. I remember speaking to someone named *** in their support department.
Despite my efforts, I still haven't received the replacement check from Ship Sticks as of today, 5/23/2022. I am now seeking your assistance in getting them to fulfill their obligation of paying me the $200 Shipment Protection amount, along with the bank charges they owe me.
I bought stuff from Ship Sticks on 3/19/22 to send my clubs to my vacay spot and then back home
I bought stuff from Ship Sticks on 3/19/22 to send my clubs to my vacay spot and then back home. The clubs came late to the course, so I couldn't use them for a day of golf. They picked up the clubs on 4/01/22 like they were supposed to. I checked the delivery status, but there were no updates. Shipsticks hit me up on 4/7/22 saying they lost my clubs and asked me to describe my case and what was inside. I gave them the deets on 4/07/22 through phone and email. They said they'd keep me posted, but I haven't heard anything since. On 4/11/22, I got my clubs, but the golf travel case was messed up and unusable. Inside the case, everything was soaked in stinky, dirty liquid. It looked like the case had been underwater for a while. The hard shell carrying case, clubs, bag, shoes, and everything in the bag were ruined. I emailed Ship Sticks customer service on 4/11/22, 4/14, 4/15, and today 4/19, but they haven't replied once. I paid for insurance to cover damages, so I asked them to cover my stuff. Ship Sticks hasn't said anything or responded at all. At the very least, I expect them to acknowledge me as a customer and treat me professionally and respectfully. This is totally not okay.
I went to the Kiawah Isl Cougar Course on 10/25 for a tee time at 12:20pm
I went to the Kiawah Isl Cougar Course on 10/25 for a tee time at 12:20pm. I had shipped my golf clubs with Ship Sticks a few days before, but when I asked for them, they couldn't find them. I realized that I had accidentally sent them to Kiawah Isl Cassique Club, which was only 2.8 miles away. I called Ship Sticks from the clubhouse, and they said they would find my clubs and either send them to me or I could pick them up myself. I called them again at 11:56am to check if they had found my clubs, but they hadn't. So, at 12:20pm, I started playing with borrowed clubs and balls. Finally, at 12:50pm, I received a message from ShipSticks saying they had found my clubs and I should go get them. They didn't offer to bring them to me or apologize for losing them. I had to go get them myself, even though they were found almost 2 hours after I reported the error. On Oct 27, I emailed ShipSticks to formally inform them of the situation. On Oct 28, Brett N, ShipSticks Manager of Resorts Ops replied, and I quote, "...perhaps maybe could have been resolved quicker had you been there to help identify the bag as yours more quickly." ShipSticks seems to think that it took so long to find my clubs because I didn't do enough to locate them at the clubhouse, even though they arrived in a box with my name and address and my name was on the golf bag. On Oct 28, I called the Cassique Club to check if my clubs were ready for shipment the next day. Once again, my clubs were missing, but they were eventually found after several phone calls due to the kindness of the club staff, even though we didn't have a business relationship. In the end, I paid ShipSticks $229.96 for them to do nothing but lose my clubs and then blame me for not finding them sooner.
