I just joined shopgoodwill.com about a week ago. My family learned about it on a Facebook page and got the rest of us to join. I joined late since I was out of town when they got into it. Anyways, I have items paid for and appointments scheduled to pick them up. I also have items from won auctions that I need to pay. However, when I went to pay, I couldn’t access my account. At first I thought I typed my login information in wrong, but it turns out that shopgoodwill literally BLOCKED me! I sent them an email about it and they essentially responded by saying they wouldn’t let me back in. I have absolutely no idea why considering I am new and I have paid for items, and not a single overdue item. The only thing I could think of is that because my family also has newer accounts as well under our address, it was seen as suspicious or something. I truly have no idea since support won’t give me any explanation. Their support team via email literally replied to me saying they won’t be replying to me anymore. How unprofessional and disrespectful! They won’t even give me information on my paid for items that I scheduled for pick up. Since their email team has been less than helpful, I’ve left two voicemails for them via phone. I have yet to get an answer or a response. So not okay… Here I finally thought I’d found a way to thrift things that are home essentials I couldn’t normally afford without having to go to rummaging through used stuff just hoping to find something I need.

Desired outcome: To talk to someone who will actually help me and who will let me in my account! (It would be nice to receive an apology as well haha).

Don't get me wrong, over 95% of my experiences with Shopgoodwill have been great, most locations honor there auctions, ship out promptly and pack really well however there are some really bad apples out there, The majority of my problems seem to arise from damaged items in shipping because of very poor packing, I buy a lot of guitars and vintage Lionel trains and no telling what, I am writing this negative review today because today I received a box of broken up 75 year old Lionel trains from the Goodwill industries of the Valleys, Salem Va., I always send a message to wrap these rare Lionels good with bubble wrap to protect them in shipping, these today were just all piled in a box and nothing was wrapped with bubble wrap or any kind of protective packing, I think everything in the box received some sort of damage, this location obviously has some really lazy people, you might want to avoid buying anything from this location that is breakable.

Another recent bad experience was with the Oakland Ca, Bay location, I purchased a guitar amplifier and received it all broken up because it had just been put in a box and shipped with no protective packing, more lazy people.

I have also had bad experiences with the Austin Texas location on pickup only items, I purchased a collection of Lionel trains and when we went to pick them up all of the more valuable stuff was missing, no one seem to know what happened to the missing items, I also purchased a land surveying kit and when we picked it up the sight scope was missing, the people they have in the warehouse obviously have some sticky fingers.

My worst experience was with the Easter Seals Northern Rocky Mt. Boise location, I purchased a large collection of Vintage Lionel Trains and like always I ask them in messages to wrap each unit good with bubble wrap, they wrapped nothing, just piled all these 75 year old trains in a box with no protective packing whatsoever, nearly everything in the box was a total loss, more really lazy people, you will definitely want to avoid this location

But like I said in the beginning, 95% of my experiences with Shopgoodwill have been great, just look out for the bad apples.

🛑🛑🛑 DO NOT bid on, or purchase ANYTHING from the Detroit shopgoodwill.com locations. I paid for an item that was $35.00, after waiting 2.5 weeks to receive it, I emailed the location I'd bid and won my item from. I heard nothing back. After 10 days of waiting, I emailed them again. Still, 5 days later I had not gotten a response from them. At this point, I knew my email was being read, and they choose to not reply. So every 3 days I sent them another email, as to where my package was. After 7-8 more emails, over a 4 week period, they finally replied to me, and it simply said, "Your item cannot be found in inventory ". There was no, ""We apologize, and will issue a refund", no apology of any kind, nor any mention of refunding me my 35.00. For another 2 weeks I emailed them more 3 times asking about my refund, and NO reply was ever given. It was very clear at this point this location never had ANY intentions of refunding me my money, and that's why they'd waited weeks to reply to me from the onset of my correspondence to them. At that point, I contacted the shopgoodwill.com main administrator, and told them about my ongoing 2.5 month long situation with a Detroit location. The main administrator was (at the time) nice enough to apologize and told me they'd look into it. 2-3 days later I got an email from the administrator stating she had contacted the Detroit location, and they informed her they HAD refunded me my money - which was a LIE. I told the Administrator I did NOT receive a refund, and asked her to get the Detroit shopgoodwill.com location to email her proof of my refund. Then I heard nothing back from the shoopgoodwill.com (MAIN) administrator. My last correspondence to the Goodwill location in Detroit was me calling them out for what they are, THIEVES! 🚨Now the shopgoodwill.com website has changed to where you can no longer contact the main group Administrator. I'm sure because they were tired of getting compaints about various shoppgoodwill.com locations. NOW you, the shopper/bidder has no alternative in seeking help when having a problem with any shopggoodwill.com online location. If you get screwed by a particular shopgoodwill location, that is also the same location you're left dealing with! And because of that, you're forced to accept however they treat you, with no recourse.
