cricket commentators on sky
Why have you introduced the women commentators into cricket, no problem with them doing women's cricket but their inane chatter ruins the matches for me and from my chats to my friends, a lot of people are thinking as I do. Some of the commentators are great but I am watching the final between England and New Zealand and would have loved male commentators from those counties to be doing this. Or at least your top commentators, the woman on today tries to bring up women's cricket every time she opens her mouth. The last insult was to call this the men's world cup, when everyone but them think of this as the world cup. Stop ruining our game and go back to the days of sensible and pleasant commentators, and concentrate more on the match in play instead of the crowd, who seem to be there to get on tv rather than to watch the match

I'm just writing in as a female in the hope that my feedback adds to others... Why can't women Commentators be assigned to the women's game... I find the obvious comments, dramatic response, nonsense chatter really annoying, especially when there are Male specialists that I do want to hear from...
I haven't enjoyed one female commentator's views and it's led me to record the match so I can fast forward past it... It has ruined my enjoyment...

cwc 2019 unprofessional commentators
CWC Unprofessional Commentators
I've watched almost all the matches so far and felt the need to complain about the below par commentaries. Especially the final few games, or should they be called the ‘death games'.
Beginning with the Pakistan/Afghanistan game, match 43 [05 July].
I felt this game was being treated as an irrelevance because too many of the commentators [even Mike Atherton...once] were talking over the bowlers' deliveries. I'm sure I'm not the only one who finds this very irritating and ignorant. Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought this was a no-no with commentators.
The following day, [India v Sri Lanka] Nasser Hussein showed how it should be done. ie cease talking and don't respond to colleagues during a bowler's delivery.
Today's 1st semi, India v New Zealand has been really annoying. Why was there an interview with Steve Waugh for about 20 minutes, during which Waugh & both commentators were continuously talking through the match-play, not just the bowlers' deliveries?
One might assume Waugh was happy that New Zealand were getting off to a poor start and like-wise the commentators seemed to have decided that India was already through to the final. However, in Waugh's favour, he's not a commentator which can't be said for Ganguly & Bhogle who should know better.
A chat of this nature would usually have it's own slot. This wasn't the right time to listen to this group being nostalgic when we actually had an important game being played. It really is… very ignorant.
Isn't there a ‘floor director' or controller responsible for instructing the errant commentators who are obviously used to a different style from Sky's usual professional (cricket sports) team.
It would be appreciated if someone with influence at Sky Sports Cricket would acknowledge this problem or is this an issue to take up with the ICC?
I see zero response to 181 complaints, so I won't be holding my breath.
Regards

The commentators talk incessantly, as if their jaws have to keep moving. They even talk over the play! Some of the voices are most irritating, we thank goodness for the mute button, which we use a lot. Do they ever listen to themselves? Are they trained? Do they have criteria and/or standards set for them?
Far, far too much talk. Less is more in this context.
Sky Sports - Cricket World Cup 2019 Commentary
Sky Sports Cricket World Cup 2019 - Commentary...
A few of your current commentators TALK TOO MUCH, in fact so much, it makes you want to switch-off. They often repeat the same ‘OBVIOUS' stuff over again.
This is NOT to be taken as some disrespect to anyone of them. Although most of them are former cricketers, NOT everyone can be a reasonable live commentator.
Excellent cricketers do not necessarily make good commentators. It requires a different skill.
It is annoying and irritating when some of your ‘expert' commentators' consistently talk without a pause and with no consideration for the average viewer trying to follow a game peacefully. It is not enjoyable viewing and unacceptable, there is no ENJOYMENT in watching a game. Just get them to stick to the points and STOP, please! Surely most viewers are quite capable of making-up their own mind and judging situations. There are many of us viewers who have played and are familiar with Cricket. We are neither novices nor amateurs. I do not believe there are viewers who would like to listen to more talk than peaceful viewing. This has been going on for sometime and viewers are fed up now.
It's time now for some "Enjoyable-Viewing", what they subscribe for. It would be better for your controllers to listen and judge for themselves and simply advice them accordingly, but I do not mean penalise in any way.
It is fair not to mention any names of the most irritating few but fair to give credit to the following for their Calmness, Fairness, Expertise and no doubt who give Consideration to the Viewer's peaceful enjoyment.👍 DJ

It is a pity that an ex-umpire is missing the limelight.
He did manage not to comment on Jason Roy's dismissal in the semi, and I must have missed all his all-too- clever comments about other umpiring errors in earlier rounds that might even affected who actually played in the final. Or did he refrain from doing so.
What an attention seeker.

Why, during the Australia v England game, are we being subjected (in England) to two Australian commentators on AT THE SAME TIME. This is too much. At least put one England commentator on with one Australian. Also, on the subject of women commentators - please. (I am a woman). Generally, the commentating has been lacking humour which, for me, is one of the joys of watching cricket on TV. Bring back Bumble.
sky sports football commentators
Why doesn't Martin Tyler actually commentate on a football match properly. All he does is waffle on endlessly about nothing.
We turn over.
For example the recent under 21 match England v Croatia. He was mumbling away.
He needs to speak about what is happening on the pitch. Who is passing to ball to whom. Perhaps he doesn't know. It is lazy commentary.
John Motson was so good on the BBC. We need to get back to those days. Thank you.
cricket world cup commentator
I have been enjoying this years cricket World Cup but someone decided Alison Mitchell makes a good commentator for the matches. I find her style so annoying as she doesn't ever stop talking (maybe more suitable for radio) and makes every comment about each shot sound like its the most exciting thing she's ever seen (a la Sue Barker on A Question Of Sport). I am a woman and am glad to see more women presenting but I have now got to the stage when if Alison Mitchell is on, I have to mute the sound!
I've opened this page to write a similar comment to above. Alison Mitchell spoils the event. She talks far too much, states the obvious, has a deeply annoying monotone delivery and I too, must mute the sound when she is on. One of the delights of cricket is its sounds and pace. Alison Mitchell seems sensitive to neither. I understand the pressures that have recently been in place to use female commentators, but first and foremost, a person has to be up to the job of adding to the viewer's enjoyment and experience of an event. Alison Mitchell detracts from both.
Cricket coverage
Why do you spoil your excellent coverage by continually showing replays, ball after ball and old footage between overs. The spectators at the grounds do not have to endure this, so why do you feel that the watching public want this? All of my elderly cricket supporters like your overall coverage, but want less replays and less idle ‘chit chat.’ Bumble is a great commentator, very humorous, as are most of the ex test players, but some of the ladies seem to talk for the sake of it. They would be much better on Radio!
Good coverage, but PLEASE less replays and less idle ‘Chit Chat.’

advertising
Why am I having to watch adverts in between every over at a cricket match.
I am paying to watch cricket not advert, most of the adverts are for sky programmes or for betting companies, which I find very annoying as I suppose a lot more customers do.please listen to these complaints, and think of your customers for once,
As I stated earlier I am paying good money and I want to watch more cricket.

sky f1 presenters at canada grand prix
I think the views and opinions given by Martin Brundle and Karun Chandock were overly agressive. They were very clearly blaming Mercedes and Lewis for getting Vettel penalised following his mistake during Sundays race. The whole incident was based on Vettel making a mistake and according to the stewards not acting within the rules. Why did Brundle get so angry and agitated with Toto Wolff and Lewis about it. We know they want someone other than Mercedes to win but Hamilton did not cause the issue, Mercedes acted within the rules, and Ferrari / Vettel were penalised for not acting within the rules.
This spoilt the whole grand prix and the commentators need to understand that they are only that, the stewards are the decision makers so take the issue up with them.
f1
I am currently watching the replay of last night's formula 1 qualifying. During the adverts between q1 and q2 an advert pops up informing me that sebastian Vettel starts the race in pole position in front of Lewis Hamilton. What is the point of having a replay if you are going to advertise the result part way through the programme. I have been working all weekend so could not watch the live show. I now feel disappointed to know the result before I have watched it as I have managed to avoid this up to this point.
tennis commentary
Annabelle Croft is an extremely tedious commentator. She has more to say than everyone else put together. She may have been England's top player for a very short time, but her achievements were virtually nil. Other more successful players (ie Jo Durie, Chris Evert) can hardly get a word in when she is there. Likewise Pat Cash and Greg Rusedski. Please can we have less of her posing and verbosity, and more from people who have more interesting and pithy comments to make.
sky sports advert
On your advert for upcoming euro 2020 featuring NORTHERN Ireland your voice over says ireland when in fact its northern ireland.. That sort of thing causes offence to people like myself who are from NORTHERN ireland we are two different countrys so i hope this will be resolved as soon as possible an id like to be made aware of the outcome
Many thanks

commentary on super league
Please please can you get a replacement commentator to replace Ben Proe. The guy has no interaction with the fellow commentators he is basically a robot reading players names and stats. I have not once heard him in a conversation with the other guys. He is absolutely shocking . He doesn't seem to have inner knowledge of the game just a bookworm with very good memory.
Totally agree with you. Get rid of him. So so boring listening to him.
Bring back Eddie.
tv commentary
Why did one of your commentaters say a Portsmouth player should be shot? After the extra police attending the game at Fratton Park & somebody being arrested prior to the game for comments on social media about this agenda then one of your employees comes out Live on air saying such matters is CRIMINAL.. An apology and a full investigation is needed and appropriate action is needed I hope..
sky sorts coverage aston villa vs west bromich albion
Tonight's game - West Bromich Albion against Aston Villa in the okay offs.
Okay, it wasn't Villas best game, bit it's been a hell of a season for them.
But front he beginning Sky's commentating has been SO biased towards West Bromich Albion this evening, it's been painful to listen to and a massive disappointment. Even after Aston Villa won both their terrible pundits could only comment on WBAs performance... really pathetic to be honest. It was like listening to the BBC reporting on Brexit.
Why am I paying g for this?
sky sports football league commentators
Is there any chance of yous changing your absolute biast commentary team for wednesdays match featuring leeds united and derby at elland road. I had to mute the away game on saturdays 5:15 ko match 5 mins in. The biast commentary aimed at leeds united throughout the whole match was a disgrace and hasn't just happened at their game but in coverage off the whole season. A neutral commentary team would be better to listen to than this leeds utd hating lot spouting crap over the tv every time we play. It's got to the point i'm actually thinking off cancelling my sky altogether. Sort it out sky sports.
news picture of bielsa
The spygate situation is over and done with yet you carry this on and on it is absolutely disgusting and you should apologize to leeds united the way you covered this from day one as be way over the top why you never asked lampard why he lied at what actually happened how long is this bias going to carry on so called pundits also joining in at the end of the day nothing was wrong in the eyes of the law

adverts
My 9yr old nephew watches your channel and I find some of the adverts inappropriate. At the moment it's advertising Ted Bundy is there any way you can put certain adverts on after 7pm as I don't think he should know about Serial killers I feel he's to young and it's a shame as he loves sky sports news and I don't think it would be fare on him to stop him watching it
commentators
My complaint is quite simple. Why do Manchester City fans have to put up with Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher, two of the most biased commentators on British television. When they come on I turn the sound off (not just because of the one-sided drawl) but also the monotone dreariness, known even to send some United supporters to sleep. I hoped beyond hope really that Martin Tyler might pit his wits against these two to bring some sort of equality but it seems he's not got the nous to react in a live situation.
sky sports commentators
I just want to express my complete disgust at the completely outrageous remarks made by your commentator and co-commentator during todays Rangers Vs Hibs match. Andy Walker " hopefully Morelos can behave himself at tonights POTY Awards". Ian Crocker in reply " Doubtful".
Absolutely disgraceful and completely uncalled for. To suggest Alfredo Morelos has disciplinary issues off the pitch is factually incorrect and could be classed libelous.
Your commentary team should be completely impartial but sadly as has been the case on so many occassions previously they once again fail to disguise their clear dislike for all things Rangers.
Nothing short of pathetic! and disappointing that a worldwide broadcaster continues to allow this nonsense to be aired.
