We have a maintenance policy with SS&B and each year they come and check ac and furnace. They do an excellent job and change filters as well as cleaning the outside ac condenser. Ben Ladd was our tech this time, arrived on time, did a thorough check very pleasant and professional couldn't ask for better service.

Having just moved to Republic we were worried about finding a reputable company to service our heating and cooling system so we are thrilled to have found SS & B. Thomas, their technician was professional, polite and patient, taking time to check out our system and answer all our questions. We will call them with any future system needs.

They arrived and fixed the problem promptly and correctly. My AC unit is over 50 years old. They cleaned and serviced all they could. It is working fine now but will need replacing soon. They set up an appointment for an estimate. SS&B Heating & Cooling was professional and courteous. Will recommend this company and Charles Randall to anyone needing HVAC services. Five stars.

I had my air conditioner and furnace both replaced on 9/10. Myra showed up at the projected time, and was extremely courteous and professional. The work was completed much faster than I anticipated. She went over the paperwork and instructions before leaving, and I feel very comfortable with the work. Thank you for a great job done ! I highly recommend SS & B.

The technician, John Smith, was on time for the HVAC review. He was courteous and explained the steps he would follow. He changed my air filter, checked the temperature on my thermostat, and reviewed both the AC and furnace. He checked the freon level and added some to top it off. He left my house as clean as it was prior to arrival. He was friendly and answered all of my questions. Great job, John!

Excellent Service. The technician was very professional and very knowledgeable in his craft. He dedicated a lot of trouble shooting time to an intermittent A/C issue, with his persistence and knowledge, he duplicated the problem and repairs were made in a timely manner. Another issue with A/C happened approximately 1 month later, the technician was out the next morning and repairs were made. Very happy with the service and technician's work. Job well done!

SS&B Heating & Cooling was quickly able to diagnose and resolve two issues keeping me from having my furnace working to provide heat in my house. The technician was polite, respectful, and professional. He explained what was needed and what it would cost to make sure I was in agreement. I don't feel I was overcharged. Our unit was really to old to spend a lot of money on repairs so we opted to have salesman to come out. Brad was very knowledgeable and got us set up with a new unit and we wanted a mimi split system for the upstairs to keep the bedrooms cooler. The installers did an upstanding job. We are very pleased and happy to have cooler rooms upstairs. I can't forget Kate in the office as she was very helpful when I called with questions. Thank you all.

Excellent service with a not so easy installation of heat pumps and furnaces in the attic and crawl space. The evaluation of the home to determine whether what was there was sufficient is seldom seen in the HVAC companies I have used in the past. I felt comfortable with everyone involved. Their one year free service/maintenance was a nice bonus. Thank you to all involved in the installation of our new systems. I had other estimates and they were equivalent to SS&B but they had it in stock and ready to install in less than a week.

We have been customers of SS&B for many years. They have always provided excellent services and the repair visit yesterday was no exception. We noticed our air conditioner wasn't working, called SS&B, Charles called us back in about 10 minutes and was at our house maybe 20 minutes after that. He quickly diagnosed the problem, explained the cost, fixed the problem and was on to his next customer in another 20 minutes. He was polite, professional, had the needed part on his truck, and he worked quickly because he had two other clients waiting. That's why we recommend SS&B.

We chose SS&B to replace our aged HVAC system. Brad listened to our needs, answered our questions and made us feel at ease throughout the process. Denny and Brayden showed up on time and worked to remove the old system. They waited patiently once it was out while I cleaned up the area and then installed the new system with excellent craftsmanship. Denny showed us how to change the filters and made sure we didn't have any questions or concerns before cleaning up and heading out. We are glad we chose SS&B for our heating and cooling needs and we would recommend them to anyone!

Response time was great! Same day service; ac went out on a 104 degree evening. I called first thing in the morning and they were here early afternoon. After a thorough check of the system technician, Thomas Farron, communicated recommendations, reasons, and costs for my approval before completed repairs. Within a very short time the ac was blowing cold air again. What a relief! Being new to the area it is such a relief to find an honest, professional, knowledgeable, trusted, and dependable heating and air company with excellent technicians. SS&B Heating & Cooling has provided great service across two houses, a complete HVAC install, maintenance of an old system, and diagnostic work. I am always impressed at how responsive they are in both getting to my home, and how they answer questions. They really do provide service with a "no dumb questions" policy (and I've had some dumb questions!) The technician was the latest fantastic technician to visit my home. He was professional, on-time, and even wore slip-on shoe covers. Both the technician and SS&B go above and beyond each time I deal with them. I never thought I would be so enthusiastic about my HVAC company, but here we are...

SS&B is excellent and responds quickly to service requests. Dakota was courteous and very helpful. However, I have two issues: The technician could not find the reason my new unit (less than 3 months old) from Trane was low on refrigerant. He recharged it and it was working fine. But this is very likely to happen again, so I'm not really satisfied with the fix. Also, as explained to me by the technician, if the issue turns out to be with the Trane unit, the manufacturer will replace the defective parts, but I will have to pay SS&B to install the new parts. This seems unreasonable to me since I would expect the unit to work as installed for some warranty period. SS&B should acknowledge that they installed a defective unit, find the problem, and make good on it.

We had SS & B Heating & Cooling install a new central Air Conditioning Unit on 3/30. I tried to turn it on yesterday (5/10/22) and it doesn't work. Called SS & B and was told they will not service it. Why you ask? My furnace needed work last fall. I called SS & B instead of the company that installed my furnace. Bad move. I went through three different SS & B technicians, three completely different diagnoses and three checks written. I was shocked at the price of their “parts acquisition fee"! After seven, repeat SEVEN house calls and my furnace STILL didn't work, I cancelled the work order with SS & B and requested a refund, which I received. Now I have a A/C unit that's a little over year old, doesn't work and the company that installed it won't service it. I was trying to maintain a professional relationship with SS & B because 14 months ago we paid them THOUSANDS for a new a/c unit and it worked well all through the summer. If the company that installs a A/C unit refuses to service, what happens to the warranty? Postscript: After I gave up on SS & B for my furnace, I called another reputable heating and cooling company. One technician, one diagnosis and the part needed was under warranty. The furnace happily chugged along all winter.
