Not only is anyone allowed to upload themselves as a professional for a fee of course but anyone... and I mean anyone including decendents of Jeff Dahmer can list a casting. Be very careful this entire operation manders as one separate casting listing but is in fact the same... the exact same jobs appear on mandy, bakstage too so if you pay for one, you...

The numberof times I am blocked for applying for a role which i appear to fir perffectly
I have been blocked from a number of roles because I apparently don't have the required physicaln charaxteristics. I have never heard such utter nonsensei have been acting for a while and I personally feel that this practise of yours is in fact blocking people from roles that they perfect for and I don't take kindly to paying fior a sitewhich then obsructs me. iI have got a lot of roles by instinctively choosing to apply. The acting profession is difficult enough without you making decisions rather than the production company. If it continues then will leave the sites before next renewing with you. You sare not the duiector of whatvis on your site.

Membership cancellation
Hello, I'm wanting to issue a formal complaint against Starnow or to find out who the head of the company is? And how can I contact them?
I'm a long time Starnow member and recently there was an issue with my payment (6 months subscription). Starnow apparently tried several times to retrieve payment but didn't contact me at all (so I could potentially rectify the issue as I had no idea there was an issue) and then cancelled my membership without my consent or knowledge!
This is already quite poor customer service.
I went to apply for a role and wasn't able to, then a screen popped up asking me to join Starnow! I thought I'd been hacked! And had no idea what was going on.
Then began a very long email thread with the customer service team who then finally let me know there was an issue with the card I had on file and they told me they had cancelled my membership and that I'd have to rejoin. I asked for my membership to be reactivated and they said that this wasn't possible. I was then put on to the manager who I kept getting generic responses from (we tried multiple times but payment failed so we cancelled the membership). No one has been able to answer why I wasn't contacted about the issue, why I wasn't contacted to say that they would cancel my membership and then finally why I wasn't contacted to say that they actually had cancelled my membership! No one has apologised. No one can show me where it is in their policy that they can cancel your membership without your consent due to any issue. I was then put on to someone else, not sure exactly what his role is. He repeated all of the above and didn't answer any of my questions...etc But he even took it a step further and said he could offer me a one time discount on a new membership which happened to be the one anyone who joins starnow can get! Unbelievable! This has made me so angry! Such poor customer service and I'm being treated so horribly after being a Starnow member for 10 years plus!
I just want to be put on my old Starnow subscription (which was a lower rate because I have been a member for so long). It's just not fair for them to cancel my membership without my consent. Or to not give me any opportunity to rectify any payment issues, or to not even inform me that they had cancelled my membership is such poor customer service. Surely, they can see there is an issue with communication here?

No response from starnow about my subscription and useless advice from backstage.
My subscription at STARNOW has expired and I have been charged $44.95 as an automatic payment for a subscription for BACKSTAGE of which I am not a member. I realise that STARNOW and BACKSTAGE are within the same company but STARNOW now asks me to activate my membership and offers me payment plans.
I have written to both companies. STARNOW has made no response to my 4 emails (including forms) and Backstage refers me to STARNOW. I have asked for a refund from BACKSTAGE but there has been no answer
Desired outcome: For my subscription with STARNOW to be renewed and for BACKSTAGE to either refund me $44.95 or transfer the money to STARNOW

Taking money from a cancelled subscription

I have informed my bank that I am no longer associated to your company as my subscription was CANCELLED and that whatever I signed up for it was cancelled sometime ago.
It is Fraud that Backstage has not deleted a cancelled subscription and keep the ex customer details on file and takes money without telling them.
I want my money returned.
And want all my details deleted after you have sent back my money.

Casting website
To whom it may concern.
I have been a loyal paying member of StarNow for many years, in fact since it’s inception as a business. I pay via direct debit and have done so for years, so 6 monthly payments are taken out of my account.
In late January this year, unbeknown to me a payment failed on my credit card, simply because my card had recently expired and I had not listed my new card with StarNow as yet. Once I was notified I then rectified the situation straight away, and spoke with someone online to advise them the card had been fixed up and to please retry the payment which the lady told me they would.
In short, they did not do this, they deactivated my account and won’t let me rejoin unless I pay at the new much higher payment rates. I was still being honoured as a lifelong member at the previous rates due to it being via DD but when I complained they simply ignore me, or send me an online to the new membership rates. No advice on why or what happened or why they didn’t just deactivate my account with the new credit card I have them!
I found them to be rude and insulting and when I asked them to escalate the complaint to a manager of StarNow they just cut off all contact with me and refused to get back to me OR to provide me with a complaints manager to speak with. Something I thought was against the law? It is in Australia where I reside.
I also have all the emails that I sent to them and in return they sent back which were unhelpful and dismissive.
I would really like help and guidance with this as I am upset and angry at the way I have been mistreated by StarNow.

Desired outcome: To reinstate my membership, as it was using the card I listed weeks ago, at the same rate I have been paying previously. I.e. just because I had to list a new credit card number shouldn’t mean I pay more!
Star Now is a False app
I am an actor
I have just paid $20 for a 1 month subscription and I was charged from my bank account. I am unable to book auditions. I was asked to join again I just paid $70 and I am still not able to book an audition.
The app did not provide receipts on both occasions.
I have spoken with a bank forensics team and they are convinced that the app is a scam.

Dear starnow my name is Owen Carroll I have been with you for many years now I have alwaysed had trouble signing up or signing in what can you do to help me do both please.

Last year I was charged for the year subscription and was not refunded. I told them to cancel the subscription and they assured me it has been cancelled. However I have recently checked my bank statement and have been charged for another year. I would like a full 2 year refund and to cancel my subscription.

I registered with this company about 12 months ago. They gave me 3 months free membership but because I never got any work from them I did not want to continue with their services. Then I noticed they helped themselves to money from my Santander bank account (transactions comes up as card payment). I went to log on to my Starnow.com account to see what was going but it kept asking me to reset my password and then did not accept my new password. They must do this deliberately so that you cannot cancel the subscription and they continue to help themselves to you money every three months.
They are absolutely disgraceful and have no shame that they are robbing people.

Fraudulent auto renewal of cancelled membership
I cancelled my membership mid term months ago via the StarNow website. The website acknowledged the cancellation and advised although cancelled it will remain in place until end of the subscription period.
Their website terms advise a cancelled subscription will not be auto-renewed (see attached)
Today they auto renewed the membership and deducted NZD50.76.
I've cancelled again and asked for a refund and confirmation that my membership is cancelled now as opposed to end of (fraudulent) subscription period.
After researching I see there is a common complaint about auto-renewing. It is fraudulent though to auto renew a cancelled membership.
Desired outcome: Refund money and confirm cancellation.

I never agreed to an auto renewal subscription to StarNow.
I acknowledge paying for 6 months but NEVER gave permission, written or verbal to extend.
I advised customer service of the above and that my husband is unemployed due to Covid and I only work part time.
They basically said too bad too sad read our terms and conditions!

Starnow subscription
I subscribed to Starnow for a promotional membership for 6 months, however i did not use the service much and infact had stopped using it in the last 2 months of the period. Now i suddenly see a charge on my card for a subscription renewal which i did not sign up for, no email communication, no reminder, no receipt, no notification absolutely, such a sneaky way of charging people who may have left the site. To top if it, refusing to refund or make arrangements of a partial refund. Such sneaky unethical way of charging customers should be strictly looked into by the authorities

I had standart membership of Starnow for a while. In summer 2020 I've got notification for automatic payment for the subscription. I decided that it will be the last payment because Starnow didn't give me anything. I cancelled my subscription on the website because they don't even have that option in their app. But fter 6 months they withdraw money from my bank account again which I didn't want to. I contacted to Starnow for refund. They didn't give me refund and they said they only see my cancellation right now which I cancelled 6 month ago. I am disappointed with their service also scam like subscription trick.

I have cancelled my subscribe because Starnow didn't give me anything, just waste my money. After paying for Standard membership again, I decided that it was the last time so I cancelled my membership. After 6 months I've got notification that Starnow renewed my subscription and billed me. This happened yesterday. I mailed them immediately about this mistake, but they said that my membership is cancelled just now and they won't refund anything.

Removal of my profile

On the 20th September I received an email from Amy at StarNow stating my profile had been removed. After questioning the reason, Teresa emailed back stating it did not meet guidelines and their decision will not be revised.
I have used and paid for StarNow on and off for many years. I have booked recent jobs through this platform and deem myself highly professional.
I would like a manger to explain the specifics of why this decision has been made, and on finding no fault, to reinstate my profile that I have paid for.

I'm complaining about my profile I did when I was younger, it has been broadcasted on the internet ever since. I have noticed it as I googled my own name to download my profile for my CV and I saw nudity and I want to delete it for good as I have not got any jobs on here. I have a profile under my name on Google as I was a professional dancer, and need to delete this profile on star now as it will ruin my reputation.
Having trouble signing into my account
It's keeps taking me back to the sign up page on the starnow and it won't let me sign into my account, and I won't delete my listings and not have other people copy my story. And make my account is deleted and decatived on their so I don't have to worry about it anymore. The story of things I posted on their called Alexa Loftis and the time travel watch and Alexa Loftis and Nathan Matarince.

When I was sign for star now they said for get more job and v they will show my picture more than other users and gI've me better service so n I sign for Elite option which is better then standard as they mentioned..and again option was 1 month, 3, or 6, or yearly..I selected only 6 monthso option..one time payment..but I have got no job ..or better service..they never call n or message about it..the day my 6 month finish..without my concern they still from my account for another six months $68.94...when I am asking my money back..they said same thing..big time scamer cheater...please help to take action against this kind of people

I signed up for the 6 months subscription to see what the website was like. I didn't like it, I didn't use it and the membership wasn't worthwhile for me, so after the 6 months I knew I wasn't going to renew my subscription. I got an email to advise me that £29.94 had been taken from my paypal account. I emailed and explained I only wanted the 6 month membership and advised I cancelled my membership as soon as I saw the payment coming out as I didn't want it. They told me they would not refund this payment as apparently it states that the member has to cancel thit payment themselves. Normally an email reminder would be sent for things like this and looking at reviews for other companies they are much better at refunding. So now I have paid a further £29.94 against my wishes and star now will not refund this. I think this is disgusting customer service. I work for one of the UK's biggest companies and know myself if a customer came to us with the same circumstances as s gesture of good will this would be refunded. So disappointed in Star Now, would not recommend to anyone.
