customer service at deli dept.
I went to the deli dept to place an order of chicken for a party. The person who was there literally skipped us about 2 times finally another employee took our order but needed the worker who ignored us to charge. She never came to charge us another employee came from the back and finally charged us. It was at the stater bros in hesperia on main st midtown square. It was a blond lady the only blond lady working there at the time. It was on 9/20/17 at about 6:40pm. I've never had any bad experiences here and wouldn't like to have another one.

I am very disappointed and upset that the bag of brocolicuts I baught was just cut up thick sock like no bocoli at all.. I love staterbros and their products, but I am very disappointed of this product... I don't blam the store, just quality control I am a former produce packer and this is unacceptable custumers expect what they see on pictures of product thats why we consumers pay as so...
service at the bakery dept
I made eye to eye contact with Rebecca at the big bear city stater bos st 6:0 pm on9/9/27. With an acknowledgment she turn around and went to back around and 5-minutes a gentleman cam and told me he will help me.
This was very rude and I strongly feel she may have been tired but some acknowledgement is required. I feel she will ignored me because I am not white! I stopped shopping Vons for this reason but I like stater bros meat Dept and generally the staff/employees are cordially and polite. Not this time.

Your Poway store is my number 1 go-to grocery store for meats and a few other goods. I've never had a bad experience with your customer service. Today aroubd 2pm, I was at a checkout register with a lovely looking young lady named Olivia M being my cashier. She looked like she was over it. She was not friendly. I asked her how she is doing first and got very short reply. No smile, not a millimeter of it anywhere on her face. She pointed out that I should know if I were to buy more quantities for a particular product which I only bought a few, that it would be cheaper. I knew that but I couldn't get more bc I wasn't buying grocery for myself today. I was following a specific order of what to get and how many etc. I said thank you. Then I noticed there was no one available to help bag up my groceries. I started to bag them myself. Olivia never attempted to help bag my groceries. She stood there waiting for me to pay, and while I stopped bagging my groceries, she was still standing there not lifting her fingers to help bag them. There was someone else behind me at that point. Perhaps it isn't in the job description of cashiers to be bagging groceries, but what happened to teamwork? What happened to helping out with something that is within reach when you're short staff? She didn't have to walk anywhere to bag my groceries. She just didn't want to do it. If she doesn't want to help out, the least you can do is have her smile a little. It won't kill her or anyone. Her attitude today hurt your image a little bit. On another note, your meat departments men were so friendly and nice even while they're doing more of dirty work. Those guys give you positive image today.

When shopping at staters brothers on high land and del rosa the cashier at no 2 white skin color I believe he is the manager double charged me for one purchase item on 7/16/2017 at 11 am second time I went to purchase wic he took a juice off my voucher I did not notice till I got home third visit Hispanic nagger refused to give me a bag and told me to put eggs in my purse as he laughed I'm reporting this stater brothers because it is racist and I feel like going off
chicken & stars condensed soup. no chicken?
Being a family of 5 kids we try and save money wherever we can. We purchase the Stater brand for this reason. I would never complain of an off brand for not being perfect because it is a off brand? Whatever that means. Anyways we purchased 6 cans of Stater Bros Chicken & Stars Condensed Soup. I opened the first can for my 5 year old and when I warmed it up and stirred to cool it off I noticed there was no chicken? So I looked a little harder and finally found 1 little chunk of chicken? I open 2 other cans and each one had 2-3 pieces, and not big, but little pieces. I saved one can unopened. This is a problem. The picture on the can shows 6 square pieces. I can video the can and opening if needed.
meat dept refusal to slice some meat
I asked the Meat Butcher to slice some 2 inch rib eye steaks into 3 slices because I need to use it for a church fundraiser for 150 people. he refused to slice it for me contending that the price of meat does not change. I told him that this is for a fundraising for a church and it is more cost effective for me to feed 3 people using a 2 inch steak rather than 2. He still refused to do it for me. Three days ago I had one of the personnel on the same store to slice 2 inch ribeye steak in 4 slices with no problem.
This is not good customer service. I will not buy from your store and I will inform our 5000 church member what you meat personnel did.

Good morning, I usually am not a consumer to complain but my experience at Stater Bros Store #23 in Yucaipa was upsetting. I went in with my toddler for fruits and random groceries. In all I had 6 items so I proceeded to the fast lane check out that had its light turned on. I had a few staff members look at me directly without telling me to move to a different lane cause it was actually a closed lane. I had to ask if it was open. Only then was I directed to lane #4. No sorry. Then when I get to the new lane, I said "good morning" to the clerk, with the response, as she was switching over her register to someone else. Also an unfriendly clerk. I said thank you when she had back my change, no welcome/no greeting from anyone. They were busy talking amongst each other. Rude customer service I hope the staff can change.

I am always disappointed with the customer service. Cashiers oftentimes are too busy talking to the people who are bagging or to the other cashiers, about thei personal life instead of paying attention to us the customer. Since I go to that store by my job at least 4 times a week in the morning, afternoon or after work, I have seen management always and I mean always handle customers in a negative way. They have no idea what customer service is about. Instead of diffusing a situation, they make matters worse. I'm not talking about the drunks and the thieves, I'm talking about the customer that goes in there with a complaint and maybe a little upset but by the time it ends they are angry because of the lack of knowing how to speak to customers. For 20 plus years, I have seen your different managers and assistant managers tell people "goodbye", "you can leave now", "go" and again I'm not talking about the drunks, thieves, troublemakers.. The managers are teaching the other employees how to be disrespectful, inconsiderate, dismissive and as a customer I think that I am going to be treated that way if I have a complaint.

I went to return a few items I had purchased earlier that day and exchange them for other items and security was following me around as I approached the counter a few employees whispered amongst each other and one of the cashiers that was off shift jumped in front of the other employee and said I'll take care of this one then snatched receipt from me trying to walk away with it, I said "where you going with my receipt" I then asked her to give me my receipt back. Management came and I tried to explain myself then was bombarded with all types of questions from different employees at the same time. Security started accusing me of trying to steal and I tried to explain once again that I wanted to do an exchange. There was total confusion due to the lack of customer service skills. I feel they discriminated against me due to the way I was dressed because when I go in at other times dressed up I have no problems. I was humiliated and disrespected in front of other customers. I then asked for corporate phone number and there names and security man said I'm not giving you anything and walked away. Manager then wrote number and names on paper and I called it and he had given me the store number. Proper protocol should have been taken
meat counter worker fired
As a DEAF community worker, it is not often you find someone who can sign to the public. At the Huntington Beach (Adams Ave) store there was a tall skinny young man who helped many of my clients. When they asked about him, they were told he was FIRED for a spill of Meat from a Broken cart. The co-workers were upset he was gone, but the manager "Maurice" said he didn't know anything about it. Maurice stated this worker quit because he did not like the new rules. After I walked away I heard him say to his staff that they should always say the person quit and that they were to b written up for their lack of respect for his management decision. If anything Maurice needs to go. This was on 3/21/17 and I am letting all the DEAF community know not to use Stater Bros due to the lack of respect for their needs as customers in this store.
I was in the Huntington Beach Store (Adams Ave) on many occasions and have never seen a manager with such disrespect for his hard working employees. While he walks through the store he asks if he can help you, but before you can say anything he goes the other way. I have heard him verbally harass his staff in plain view of everyone in the store. Don't know why they replaced the old manager with this man. On 3 different occasions two times in February and once in March of 2017, i heard him call an employee an ### as he walked away from the employee. The first time I thought it was just a mumble under his breath, but when it happened two more times I knew it was his true feelings of these employees. He needs to go as he is ruining the store's already tarnished reputation.
low fat milk (stater bros brand)
My name is Hanh. I can be contacted [protected]@gmail.com. Today is Sunday, March 19, 2017 and the Low Fat Milk (Stater Bros brand) states "Best By 22 March 2017." Upon opening the carton today and pouring the milk out in a bowl of cereal, it was no longer liquid but instead was thick and lumpy as if it had curdled into cheese. It didn't smell spoiled though. I have never had this happened to me ever. I am very disappointed! It says best by 22 March 2017. Well it wasn't. Attached are some pictures of this curdled milk. I should either get a refund or a supply of free milk.
the employees in the deli department including the manager won't sell me any fried chicken.
Shontai S., the manager and the deli employees told us they have to make us wait 2 hours to be able to sell us 8 pieces of chicken. There was 1 other costumer and myself waiting and being rejected telling us they had no chicken even though they were advertising it on the board. They said they had a party order and that all the chicken that was being made was for that order. It was ridiculous that they did not want to sell us not even 8 pieces of chicken. The reason i'm taking the time to complain is not because of the chicken but because of the service. I have had this happen in the past already but didn't say anything. It has happened twice before and they have not made any intent to fix this issue. Stater Brothers has always been my preference because of the service they provide. Please send them another fryer or something. My family, and i'm sure many other families, enjoy Stater Brother's chicken.

I just yelped this as I'm appalled...
We have been coming here for over 7 months now since we bought our Retirement home on the Lake and we mostly get checked out by a tall slim guy called Dan. My family have joked with him about him having the same name as my husband so he's easy to remember and have shot the breeze with him many times (we go there around three to 4 times a week). But today when I had left my wallet at home with my ID in it, ( i just had my ATM and credit card in my phone case) he would not serve me the alcohol I was buying. I thought he was kidding and I said, Dan you know me, You know my family, I've showed you my ID before. He looked blankly at me? BTW. I'm 44 and I look 44. I reminded him that he's met my 23 year old son and two teenage girls and he looked at me blankly again. OMG! really? Are you kidding me? I was very polite but said look at my wrinkles Dan, we've joked about this before. Again Nothing. I always go out of my way to be extra chatty and nice to Dan as he really doesn't have an outgoing friendly personality. Anyways, He called the on site manager who didn't even bother to come over and talk to me, a loyal customer who spends hundreds of Dollars a week there. but Dan doesn't tell me this until he rings in everything and the lady packing the bags asks for him to pass the alcohol to her to pack and he says rudely, We won't be selling alcohol to "this person." today. I was completely shocked and the man behind in the line was like "are you serious Man?" to Dan the forgetful checker. I was mortified, The lady packing the bags was very apologetic as she knows me and we talk about our like for Champagne every now and then. Meanwhile, Dan says, Sorry, that's just how it is at this store. WOW! What a disgrace, if I Looked 25, 30 or 35.. I would understand but I don't and this guy sees us four times a week on the average week. Horrible, Awful customer service by him and especially the store manager who couldn't be bothered to even come talk to me. Talk about your all time bad MANAGEMENT. We are respectful people who retired to this area and this is just not right.

So I have decided to shop at Jensen from now on due to the Management and Dan at Stater Brothers. Not that Stater Brother's will give a care in the world.

On January 19th I went to Stater Bros to shop. I went home and prepared everything to cook when I opened a piece of beef that I got from this store, I noticed a terrible smell from this and it was the beef that has gone bad. I brought it back to the store and asked to talk to the manager.The first things he told me was if I want my money back. I told him it is not ok to sell spoiled meat to your customers, money isnt the problem here, the problem is I could've end up in the hospital if I eat that. The first thing that he should say was sorry. I just want to let whoever in charge of this store how important it is to checked the meat before sell it to a customers. Sorry about my English im not a native speaker.
stater bros authentic hearth baked texas toast 8 thick slices
I went to Stater Brothers located at 16904 Main St in Hesperia CA. When my son and I started making dinner this evening, We realized that the box of Stater Brothers Authentic Hearth Baked Texas Toast only has 6 slices in our package instead of 8 like the package indicates! Now 2 of our family members do not get a piece of texas toast tonight with their spaghetti dinner! This isnt right! I paid for 8 slices! I would like some sort of compensation for this issue that has ruined our family dinner.

My grandmother went to Stater Bros this morning off of Mary St & Lincoln in Riverside. She went up to the checkout & asked about the turkey in the paper and the cashier said that it was .99 but said the one she picked didn't qualify. My grandmother told her several times she picked the one that said .99 & the cashier refused everytime. Cashier called the manager & said my grandmother was complaining. She immediately told my grandmother she needed to go talk to the manager. Another employee instead, followed my grandmother to the aisle & confirmed she had the right one. They went back up & she again, said she needed to talk to the manager & continued serving other guests. My grandmother asked who the cashier was and the employee said this hadn't been the first time this has happened.
manager is unfair to janitor
I have shopped at the stater bros located on mountain ave / philadelphia st. , in south ontario for over 20 years. Never have I meet a manager that did not appreciate a compliment given regarding an employee! I had mentioned to this manager how nice the floors of the store had been looking, and that the janitor was doing a nice job. However, brett bullard, the current manager of the store location, had nothing nice to say about his janitor! Instead he began complaining about how he did not care for the current janitor and that he had just slashed that janitor's hours for poor work performance. I had just told him that his janitor was doing a good job! Why is cutting his hours?! I am totally outraged by the manager's behavior!
I absolutely agree! I happen to know that were once 2 janitor's working there, now there is only one. I have spoken with him a few times just before he leaves early in the mornings. His name is Thomas R. and he is one of the nicest employees at that store! I can tell he really cares about how the store floors look. How does the manager expect that janitor to clean the entire store in only 6 hours! That is ridiculous! I am also a janitor and I know for a fact that that size of store needs at least 7 and a half hours per night!
I've been a janitor for 27 years now and can tell you that a store this size only needs 4 and a half hours to clean. It sounds like Thomas R. is doing crack at night on company time.

I came into starter bros in canyon country and asked one of the workers a question regarding the digital coupons for progresso soup that was on sale, and she was very rude to me, and as I was walking away from her she yelled really loud - soup for dinner, when in fact I was about to visit the seafood department to purchase some shrimp, all the customers around me looked at me and laughed, I was so upset I put the cans of soup back on the shelf and left the store, this is the last time I shop at this store.

Me and my brother In law decided to get avocado and other stuff to make salsa it was around 10:30 they where closing soon so I guess they all where in a hurry didn't get one of my bags and only noticed till I got home I called to double check manager was very rude said they where closed and come back tomorrow didn't Even apologize at least act like you care its your job so yea I'm pissed .
