Bad business
This was a big mistake and a regret I have to deal with for a year. I was lied to by Sebastian, he claims he told me about all the start up fees, fees for not using their fuel card which we had 2 people on the call when we spoke with Sebastian and he didn’t tell us. When I contact Sebastian by email because he will not give you his number he said the fees were for security fees, the client service supervisor tells me it was for start up fees and we still haven’t been charged for the underwriting fees. They took around 70% of our one and only invoice I have submitted to them. To cover the fees. I asked today what else are you showing I will be charged to finish the set up they can’t tell me, the client services supervisor told me I would just have what they want to charge taken out of my next invoice. So we are supposed to send invoice and wait to see what this place is going to charge you and then once they are finished taking all your money out on a card which I still have not been able to activate and deal with what they give you. This company has terrible customer service, terrible salesmen, they will nickel and dime you. Stay away if you truly want to make money for working. We ended up paying out of our account to deliver the load that I submitted the invoice for and they want to stay come make a lot using this company for factoring. Which they should say is come make them a lot of money for you working.
Recommendation: STAY AWAY. You will go broke.
This Company SUCKS!

If 0 stars was an option it would definitely be a Zero! This company is out to bury your company! They steal money from you, you basically do all the work they are suppose to do and charge you fees for them not doing THIER JOB! We submitted a termination in time and the DENIED our termination, PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF AND YOUR COMPANY! Its false advertisement. They are all a lie and no one can answer your questions this company is literally run by the dumbest illiterate people Ive ever had to deal with.
Terrible company never calls back, wait times are hours to days long then they forget about you. If I could give no star I would. The only reason they get one star is because of our account manager ***. He's accurate, always reply back and is respectful BUT HES NOT IN-CHARGE OF HOW WE GET PAID. The department for CS and for Accounting is by far the worst. I can't wait to get out of my contract with them and leave them forever. NEVER GO TO TAFS! NEVER THIS IS A WARNING. If you want to get paid on time, or at all go to someone else!

ZERO starsThese people are the worse. And seeing all the negative comments, its no hope for me Whhyyy didnt I come here before signing up with TAFs? This has been the worst customer service I have experience ever. I've had my account open with TAFS since September 2, 2022 and I'm already ready to end our agreement. I've been over talked, hung up on. *** and ***, if thats really their names are the worse, just terrible at customer service. I was charged $100 from *** because I wasnt aware that *** paid out a load for $500 we completed automatically . I did my due diligence by calling TAFS and *** to correct the issue and still I was charged by TAFS. However your company, TAFs, can keep my funds for a weeks, remove my bank account information without my knowledge or consent and then proceeded to hang up the phone while I'm trying to resolve this issues that is obviously causing us problems. was extremely unprofessional that I had to ask her not to over talk me as she is a representative of your company and she proceeds to hang up the phone. ***, well she's just tells you what she thinks you want to hear. She never sent the transaction receipt that she said she would to prove they sent the payment she just lied and said my bank returned it. My bank NEVER received the payment. In actuality the error was from your accounting department who didn't use the correct routing number for wires. When we try to call its hours on hours of waiting and sometimes after holding for so long it just hangs up. I HATE THIS COMPANY AND HATE THAT I EVER SIGNED UP.Someone needs to do something about this business as they are taking other companies money and leaving them stuck. I think some lawsuits needs to be taking place now. Too many people with the same complaints and issues
Very unprofessional, disrespectful, steals, taxes your hard earned money with fees not even listed. This company should be shut down. I have had to file a police report and now seeking legal assistance. They have stolen our money. They refuse to release it. They have blocked us from logging in and removed all our invoices. DO NOT EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!SHUT THEM DOWN NOW!
Lousy service cant never get through to anyone, and if you do they are so rude that you wish you hadnt. Double charge you even after broker has paid invoice. Complete jerks in my opinion, will not respond when you try and get out of contract. DO NOT USE THIS FACTORING COMPANY! Theyre the worst!
If a rating of negative ninety-nine stars was an option, that would be my choice. I have been associated with this company for over seven months, and it's the single worst decision I've ever made. This company operates in a manner reminiscent of organized crime, showing complete disregard for their customers. It's all about maximizing profits at the expense of others, and I'm not exaggerating when I say this company could drive you out of business.
Today is December 1, 2022. I submitted my invoice for payment at 10:30 AM, well before their noon deadline. Shortly after submission, my payment status changed to 'reviewed', so I immediately tried to contact them, to no avail. I was subjected to the usual ten-minute wait that inevitably lasts longer and requested a callback as the automated system suggested. Now it's 4:27 PM, I've received no callback, and they've removed my invoice from the queue. As a result, I won't receive payment until Monday, which disrupts my plans to operate over the weekend. My business is relatively new and needs timely payments. This company is a complete disaster, threatening the viability of businesses with their predatory practices. My advice is to steer clear if you rely on running your business effectively and profitably.
We are Express, LLC and began our partnership with TAFS in April
We are Express, LLC and we began our partnership with TAFS in April. Initially, the BOLs and Invoices must be submitted by YOU! Initially, I had issues and sought assistance. The representative questioned if I had been helped before, which was frustrating. We attempted to cancel our contract but were told we missed the cancellation period by days. They insisted we continue for another year. In 2021, I calculated the 90-day period for cancellation and marked it, then counted back to 120 days to determine the window for termination requests. This time, our request was timely, yet they couldn't factor a load, claiming our contract had ended, despite the invoice being submitted prior. We asked for a release letter, but they demanded all payments first. With no disputes or negative balances, we're now locked out of the system. As former clients, we deserve details on unpaid invoices and debtor contacts. TAFS suggested using the client portal, ignoring our expired access. We're determined to obtain the necessary information and our Letter of Release, or we'll seek legal advice. I advise against choosing TAFS; it's been a nightmare for us!

just no words terrible company going to out of Business soon bc of them cant get paid, DOT NOT SIGN WITH THEM NOOOOOO YOU NOT GONNA GET PAID NOOOOO YOU GUYS BETTER PAY 3% AND BE SAFE SIDE OR SPEND ALL YOU Nervous there GOOD LUCK
The worst company I have ever done business with— all I want is a letter of release. I submitted several requests days ago, sent certified letters and emails, but everything is met with no reply; they are like mobsters. I've been out of contract since November 8, 2022. I factored my last load on November 5, 2022. There is no accountability. They have a 1.2-5 rating, yet they boast an A rating. I don't need a deceptive response. Send Hy 5 Trucking their Letter of Release. Your level of professionalism and fairness is lacking. I spoke with the authorities in my state and the officials of Missouri. Your company may have deep pockets and political connections, but I have my own resources. Since this is the only platform where you seem to respond, I suppose we'll have to engage in our discussions here. I'll be waiting for your insincere response. Be aware that a community of truckers will be waiting and watching.
This company is okay, as long as you don't need to speak with anyone in customer service. You will not get to speak with anyone until they call you back. Which for example I called in the morning they will call you in the afternoon sometime. If they approve a broker, and they don't pay in the time allotted they will charge you, and still give that approved broker a good credit score. I've been with them for a few years, and it's getting worse with them answering a call. I almost forget what I was calling about . Check others before dealing with them.
This people is running me out of business as you all know guys the trucking business is very challenging this days fuel is high and load arent paying plus Im dealing with a 0 star factoring company that will not help you in anyways you could possibly think. Now Im using there fuel card once I get pay from TAFS I pay any bills I can and save the rest for fuel. I did one load I pay for my truck and trailer and fuel up with the rest of the money to finish the load After that I had some leftover fuel I went and pick up the next one I only had $12 left me the previous load I submitted Tafs didnt wanna pay me for it now all my credit cards are maxed out didnt have nobody to call. I asked for a loan to finish the load they denied me I sat in the pilot parking lot for two days with the load on my back I couldnt run because of fuel before a friend came and helped me out this people have no mercy stay away from them now mind you I did the load to pay for my insurance and to renew my license plate they hold all my money because other broker didnt pay them I make sure I got at bottom of it and all those brokers paid and sent me a remittance but still Tafs doesnt wanna pay me my insurance is about to cancel my tag is expired they wanna shutdown my operation now I cant pay no bills Im totally stuck here they running me out of business last year I wanted to leave they said I submitted the letter to late my point is that if Tafs isnt trying to help a business succeed whats the point of being in business. This people have no soul no mercy. You already have your money I need to get pay to keep going and on top of that they forcing to get a loan on money that the broker already paid to them thats some ***moors operation. Please I really need help !
Ive been dealing with a TAFS over 1 year, and never complained about the pour service
Ive been dealing with a TAFS over 1 year, and never complained about the pour service. Recently I was hospitalized due to Covid and my heart condition. While hospitalized my cousin was in charge of my business affairs, and was robbing me blind. He was processing paperwork with factoring, stealing my money, then having the loads repowered instead of delivering. Once I got better and found out I had him removed from my TAFS account and terminated immediately. I spoke to several people at TAFS about the situation and getting setup on a payment arrangement to repay the funds. I had been doing business with TAFS OVER A YEAR with no issues from my end until I got sick and this happened without me knowing. TAFS associates tell me over the phone the collections team has reviewed the matter and are working on a payment plan for me so all the funds dont hit me a one time once charged off. Ive been being told this since April 2022. whenever they finally call me back days later almost every time I call at this point I tell them everything is palling up at this point and I cant afford to haul anything because they are going to take every dollar I make at once. And again they give me the same response but no action, no payment plan No help yet. Im stacking BOLs on my desk basically because they dont care and will take every dollar if I factor them.. Im almost to the point of shutting down completely because I cant collect any funding. Still no response no help. I was about to end my contract last year but they begged me to stay and actually answered the phone every time at that point. Signed for another year and the next day no answering again. Then this happens and no help. Its bad enough with fuel prices and low freight rates on top of so called business factoring partners not trying to help at all. I should have known better because I actually worked for transam years ago and I saw it was bad then. They get what they want and will leave you for dead, thats TAFS!

We were told a what our fee was going to be per invoice, when we submitted the first invoice they took 60% of the entire payment. They listed 3 fees stating "security interest fee/cost" plus a transaction fee and a invoice processing fee. I was only told about a transaction fee and I understand the invoice processing fee. I didn't understand why I had other fees and they were listed the same fee 3 times for just my first and only invoice. I called numerous times spent hours on the line and never got through or received a call back. It's safe to say I won't be using them again!
Very poor customer service, on hold for hours on end (right now 11-10-22 on hold for 3 hours and counting). Just to get an answer on a simple question. They process invoices after hours, but no phone system. No other way to communicate other than phone. Problems with their online app. It won't let me download / attach invoices, missing cut off times. Complaints from brokers, they aren't getting invoice and POD's.
If I can give them 0 Stars I would! I havent been with them 30 day and I dont like them they are unreachable which is unprofessional because they have your money seem to me like after contract signed you get no more communication from them, but when they want you to sign up they call you every day to big you! Also they have hidden fees I had security interest fees taking out my two payments I had from them so far paid out to me the agent alley *** told me the payment only comes out my first payment as well just like they have told others in the past as I read the reviews! Definitely SCAMMERS DO NOT USE THEM! HIDDEN FEES HIDDEN FEES! RUN FROM THIS COMPANY FAST VERY FAST! If we are all complaining in these reviews on the same issues then clearly THEY ARE THE PROBLEM! I am reporting to complaintsboard.com IN THE MORNING! Dear Tafs please dont respond with BS Lies about superviser will call me or you dont no know this email to link the account with you all to fix the problem BECAUSE THE ONLY PROBLEM YOU ALL SHOULD FIX IS FIBBING AND SCHEMING PEOPLE INTO YOU ALL CONTRACT HAVE A GREAT DAY TAFS REP
THIS IS THE WORST FACTORING COMPANY PLEASE good people for you and your family DO NOT use this company for factoring! Tafs has been taking thousands of dollars from me and putting it in RESERVES and telling me that they do not know how I can receive my money back even after the broker has paid Tafs! I WISH I HAD NEVER USED TAFS FOR BUSINESS PARTNERS! TAFS WILL LITERALLY RUN YOU OUT OF BUSINESS! I cannot wait to leave

Minus, Negative, tafs is representative of all the worse things. is bad that Review Rating system should invent negative star so they can go in negative balance with starts, 1 star for TAFS is way above their abilities. Tafs get money form broker and loose it in their system if you do not get transaction # or check # from broker, but even if u have it, they will require it from broker. but hold on that is only part of the problem. TAFS uses a system called credit checks and this allows for the business to show who pays their invoices within an allotted time frame as well as how customers like myself are able to factor the loads through the business. If you choose to use a customer who has a good credit rating, they factor the loads and then send the invoice for the load to the broker to be paid out. As long as the broker agrees to pay out the load there will be no recursive action however they are a recursive company. I recently expressed my dislike with TAFS on 1 April 2022 and ever since then they will not factor any loads. They now tell me as a customer I have to wait to hear back from the broker to say they will pay the load prior to me being sent the factored money with the fee taken out. This is the first week of the month and everything critical to ensure business continues to move however they refuse to factor any loads or call the brokers. They only send emails and I have been able to get in contact with the broker to ask if they have replied to emails or received paperwork and in some cases they have said no others they have said yes. In short I now have to deal with a process of waiting for the broker to respond to TAFS first before they will factor the load which TAFS could get a response right away but in the long term it could take weeks or months to get a response. I now have to wait for the response from the broker to say yes we will pay for this load although the reason for using their approved brokers via credit check to not have to wait for this process. This is what you pay the fee to factor for. However it seems like its more a direct attack on my company versus continuing to help my business grow and operate. They take more than a day to call back. They don't respond to emails at all, they don't process funds like they say they will. Just terrible. RELEASE ME AS A CUSTOMER I DON'T CARE ABOUT A $2500 FEE. I want my UCC LETTER TODAY!I would give TAFS half a star!

My husband and I are so heartbroken!
My husband and I are so heartbroken! This is the worst company. They sent us a paper in the mail and keep calling us and we eventually gave in to talking to ***. We were on the call for over and hour with him sweet talking to us and giving us all the good stuff they can provide. We eventually gave in and so we received 30 pages of documents that we were to signed and get through while he waits on the phone. It was never explained to us that we were going to have a UCC on our company. My husband also ask the question if after a month he wants to get out of the contact and he said yes. A day after we were contacted by the same *** that his underwriter needs our SBA loan documents so that they can take first place of the lien. We were shocked as we did not know that they took out a lien on us. I told him we are not taking out a loan so why should we provide this. At that point we decided we will no longer work with him. He was not happy and so I told him I will talk with my husband about this. My husband said he no longer wants to move forward and when I call and spoke with him he said he cant release us as we sign a 1 year contract. I said we want out of this as we have not started the business quite yet as we are just setting up. He keeps telling I cant get out cause we sign and have to wait 1 year. How are they still business? This company is holding our company hostage. I will be reporting them to ***, the *** the *** The *** and I will be going to every Media about their cruelty to new owner operators and our Attorney will be contacting them. as early as today I try talking with *** asking if we can pay to get out of the contract and he told me no I have to wait as we sign a 1 year contract. The contact is not complete as we have not provided the documents that they require to take out the lien on our company. Truckers please get a lawyer to read any documents you are signing! Runnnn from these abuser as they abuse their power.

ZERO stars
ZERO stars...The most crooked company I have ever dealt with in my life. They have made life so miserable for my company and my drivers. To start with ,I started with them in July 9,2021, I should have checked Complaintsboard.com before signing up with them,I have gone through a lot with with these unprofessional workers they have in clients service department.About 2 months ago or less, they did a charge back on my account for $1900 for no reason, they signed an agreement with you and still take your money unjustly.I tried to asked them for reason why they did a charge back on my account, but to no avail.I reached out to *** @ ***,the " Customer" to know exactly why they had *** have my $1900 charged back. Apparently, there was a miscommunication about a load that was delivered by my company weeks before the invoice was paid. But all efforts made to talk to have a manager intervene on this issue, proved abortive. They do not care about their clients and most of these workers don't even have knowledge about the services they offer, all they do is keep you on hold on the phone. Shame on you guys...There is something weird about TAFS, they only have one phone number to clients service and tells you how crooked they are.I have tried to reach TAFS in the last 5 days straight, at a point in time, they kept me on home for 2 hrs and still hung up on me and when I requested a call back , they turned deaf hears and act like zombies.. but as soon as I submitted an invoice they took my money and said my residual balance is low. When there is a mistake made by either party, there should be room for dialogue before action is being taken to take my money. I will be patient with you guys and when I run out of patient ,be prepare to face the consequent. My contract was renewed automatically after and after that, its being a roller coaster . I need to get out of these stupid contract before something happen. You are guys are making my life unbearable. Stop taking my money

TAFS is a hard place for truckers that don't know how to submit proper paper work or use the tools that are provided to run the business in a more effective manner. Good days far outweighed the bad days during my employment at TAFS. I invested a lot of time/effort to this place and ultimately disappointed in myself in the way I handled the situation as I let my emotions get the best of me and acted out of hurt and didn't thinking my actions through. I still want to see the best for this company and all I ever did was truly care about the job we were all doing and trying to provide the best experience from top to bottom, from the initial call to the last call. Here are some of my suggestions,There should be more training that is provided for CS so they can handle the calls properly and more efficiently. I don't see any issues with creating an incentive plan for them to create more cases to close them out! Or invest more into training procedures For me, I wear my heart on my sleeve and that's true for my some of my other co-workers on the floor that are still at TAFS, it's just the competitive nature. When Supervisors can tell something is wrong or someone is stressed out, don't sweep it under the rug you got to address the situation so it doesn't end up the way it did with me. Or ultimately it's about employee retention Got to get everybody on the same page. Where I had some of my issues was I felt like everybody wasn't on the same page and things weren't communicated effectively and some of the things could've been prevented if there was better communication.I am sorry for the way things ended and take full responsibility. There is no hard feelings as it was self inflicted on my behalf, I just should've had more discussions and asked questions when I was in a level state of mind and been a man about things and not a little boy. I am available to come back to work if I am lucky for you to have me back and will start all over if that's what it takes. Regardless, I wish TAFS the best and always will. You took a chance on me and am forever grateful for it.
I was cohered into signing a contract with a sales member Jeremy W*** In November
I was cohered into signing a contract with a sales member Jeremy W In November . I am fairly new and just purchased a truck to start my own business. I am black owned and had not been working under my own authority at this time. I was not fully aware of the constraints working with a factoring company. This company sent an email to me on December 2nd stating that I was at fault for not sending them my receivables from a Company that I decided to work for that does not require factoring company as I am paid with quick pay. Somehow, TAFS got a hold of 2 of my receivables dated January 5th and 6th and I have yet to be paid and don't have fuel for next loads or food for my family. I am a very small company and just started now I am bullied into keeping this company and I have yet to be paid for my services for over a week ago. I have sent several emails to Jeremy, client services, vice president of sales and no response. These people take advantage of communities that are just trying to feed their families. I want a release letter as I did not intend to use them at all. I tried to cancel and that is when I received emails stating that I am in breach of contract for not supplying receivables but first you have to find the work and I could not because I had not worked under my authority for over 90 days. This was not explained and I see that this company does this to alot of truckers that are just out here trying to make an honest living for their family. I truly believe this is racist and a way to keep people from progressing. This should not be legal. I want to be released from this contract as I don't have any receivables to offer this company and they stole my receivables from Convoy and now I have yet to be paid for my services from either company. This is not fair. I need that $1k to feed my family and to get fuel and I can't do any of this as of today. Please anyone help. I will be telling my story all over the internet. Black LIVES MAtter and so does their money! I am just trying to survive out here and my wife lost her job and now you are stealing my funds and not giving me anything. I don't have 2500 because I can't get fuel to keep pushing my business. Melanin Trucking is my business.

I didnt want to give one star these people are not here to help they held my money saying the company stated they paid me when in fact the company had paid them two weeks prior. I called immediately once getting notification and reading the email I spoke with *** who stated she would connect with a manager and asked if I could send the remittance if payment over I actually did that. She stated the manager found the payment and everything was all good. I assumed everything was submitted correctly to the right departments but somehow a scooby doo mystery occurred and the email disappeared. I called that morning and spoke to someone before submitting my invoices for the day she stated that no notes were in the system and couldnt tell me anything. After submitting my invoices and then taking their deductions I receive an email from *** stating the oh the email thread disappeared and I needed to get the email back to her well I did several times and also included the company representative who stated she tried to contact TAFS but they didnt respond and sent me the thread of emails. She continued to contact through email with me included to just see how the situation goes. Finally after two hours I get a call back and speak to *** who tells me nothing had been submitted about the payment to be cleared although I sent it to *** thru email several times and so did the rep from the company. She states I have to hang up with you in order to clear this so we can get your money out of reserves because Im just trying to see if there is any empathy or understanding of a small trucking business see if they stand by their word that was a quick answer no there is none. I call back after two hours to speak with *** immediately with a baby in the background begins to assume and yells at me and irately tells me I have invoices in dispute so thats why their holding my money so I politely stare no maam if thats the case they would have given me a partial payment . She then proceeds to look at the notes and follow through with the situation and explains now I understand I will send an email to accounting to get your funds released its now about 1 or two do the federal reserve is still available for a rush wire. I call back to speak to a guy named *** when every time you call TAFS and get him he has an attitude and is very nonchalant and tells me the same thing *** stated and I have to repeat the situation again he then looks at the notes I assume and says oh they still havent responded. I fought all day for a mistake by the company with the payment sitting there to feel helpless alone and confused by why this company treats their clients so bad and try and trap them instead of helping them I am constantly calling on a daily basis about my account I have to call the broker companies about payments due to late invoices being sent and Im then penalized this company does not care and they are very unprofessional and dishonest
I only gave this a 1 star review to be able to proceed and leave a review
I only gave this a 1 star review to be able to proceed and leave a review. This company is a complete NIGHTMARE to work with. Tafs is suppose to be a factoring company to help facilitate/accelerate payment between two clients. My team and I have called for DAYS to speak with someone from client services and until this day have not been able to contact anyone! Yes, one team member choose the option to get a call back and NO, call back. Team member did not call back that day so their position in line wouldn't restart. Tried this method a few times WHILE also using another phones for HOURS with a different phone that is associated with the account. Since Tuesday November 23 we have been relentless on the lines with phones associated with the account for hours trying to go through the proper "lane of client services" with no answer, but when we call the sales floor IN LESS THAN 45 SECONDS you have a representative on the phone. We have drivers on the road that need money for fuel, brokers pay the money, Tafs processes the payment and charges the $25 1 hour advance (which can TYPICALLY be 3-4 hours) but where is the money ? Why does no one return the call ? Why does no one answer the phone to help ? At this point lets go and click the loan amount that is in very large print in the home page ... after requesting ... they offer less than what is displayed and again why is there someone available to take money ? A loan is money given to the client, BUT not for free interest is paid ... again why is there so many representative ready to get you enrolled and to give reduced loans that are already displayed on YOUR personal account ? *** Tafs reflects a company is factorable for 1 load, time of payment papers submitted, turns out company owes money and Tafs after reflecting one load allowed does not pay. WE inform the brokerage company of the issue, company wants to be in good standing pays Tafs. Tafs process the payment per reflection on account, collects $25 for advance pay, but then red alert ... payment has been posted for delayed pay. ***I write this with a very heavy heart ... please, please, please look else where for a factoring company. When trying to speak with ANYONE at this point called the sales teams to see if there is any type of humanity, empathy for our situation to see if there supervisor could do something like go the extra mile, but no, just "there is nothing we can do, you need to call client services directly." And don't think we just asked to speak to a supervisor we fought with "nails and tears" to get that response, because *** from sales originally stated that there is no supervisor, then after asking how is that possible that you are just there unattended with out any over view then said there is no supervisor available. Please, do NOT put your faith, time, money, loyalty, and mental peace with this company, they do not even send release letters automatically NOT requested. There are so many other companies that are not just quick to sign you up, but also support you in the time of need. I can not stress this enough please go else where for your factoring company needs we tried long and hard to get our issue of 3 FACTORABLE loads to be deposited to our account before we came to the complaintsboard.com to leave this review, because I am also a business owner and understand what is means to get a review on Complaintsboard.com. Life is hard, the logistics business has it challenges that we have to encounter and over come and trying to get someone on the phone to help you resolve a simple matter which causes major stress, should not especially when they factoring company promises to be there in you time of need.
Freight Factoring - First year business insights with TAFS
Freight Factoring - First year business insights with TAFS. My business's first nine months of sales were recorded with TAFS as my Factor. This is a review for anyone considering this company, especially freight brokers in their first year. I advise against using TAFS, based on my experience as a business owner who made over half a million in sales with them. Their response times are slow, taking 1 to 2 hours for phone calls, and they lack efficient email communication. Quickpay is useful, but I've had payments delayed for weeks. They may shortpay carriers without warning, prioritizing their fees. Many of my shipper-customers found TAFS cumbersome and encouraged me to switch. Other reviews echo these sentiments; working with TAFS can be frustrating for you and your customers. The most concerning issue is their unethical client retention tactics. They lock you into a yearly contract with steep early termination fees. When I declined a 1% rate reduction to stay, they delayed the buyout process, where my new factor takes over the invoices. Despite giving TAFS a 99-day notice, they failed to send the buyout agreement on time and later tried to charge an exorbitant $10,000 handling fee for the buyout, which was not part of our agreement. This is not a penalty; it's unethical bullying. TAFS hassles customers, shortpays carriers without notice, complicates communication, surprises you with hidden fees, and delays important processes to extract more money. They hold their contract over you, making it feel like a trap. I regret factoring with them and strongly advise freight brokers to avoid TAFS. I hope TAFS improves their practices and stops using contracts and hidden fees to push people around. They should facilitate a smooth transition for companies wishing to leave their services.

URGENT: Read Before Engaging with TAFS - Unfavorable Experiences Highlighted
Do not sign anything until all your questions are answered fully. Please read and beware, TAFS is horrible! Let me give you details on why. This will be a very detailed review, so you'll know the truth about what you're signing up for when you sign with TAFS. Like all companies, when you first call, they'll sell you on what an amazing company they are and what they can do for you. The first person you talk to will fake play nice until you sign the docs. After signing docs, the only thing TAFS can do for you is give you a headache and waste your time on the phone all day. My issues started the minute I signed the first contract. TAFS files a lien on your company when you sign up, which is standard. I already had a lien for something else on my company. They wanted me to disclose all my loan docs regarding that lien. I said no because they could see what the loan was for, so they didn't need my personal loan documents. I was told this was going to be problem and they couldn't move forward with getting me set up with them without having that and I was told by them they would not be my factoring company, I had no problem with this, the problem occurred when I moved on to get setup with a different factoring company. The new factoring company informed me that they couldn't factor for me until I received a release letter from TAFS because I'm set up with them. So, I call TAFS back and request a release letter via email because there is no phone number for this department (how convenient). This factoring company has one number for everything (department), red flag! When I received an email back this is what it said you are bound to factor all loads with us for 12 months and at that time you want to cancel you would just give us a 120-day notice that you want to cancel before the renew date is up. Please let me know if you have questions! Let's make you some money. After receiving that email, I then speak with 3 different managers until I'm told I can now factor with them without providing my loan documents. Side note I also have my broker authority and they said they couldn't work with me because of that too but eventually they said that wasn't a problem. Fine. Even though I'm not wanting work with them at all now, I'm locked in, so hey maybe things will be better now that the back and forth is over. Wrong! Every time you call you are on hold for a minimum of 1 hour and that's on a good day. They do have an option to receive a call back, however I never receive a call back when I choose that option so I just hold the phone to my ear all day listening to that horrible music (p.s. if you're going to make your clients wait that long the least you can do is figure out how to provide a whole music channel with different music). Sometimes you're fortunate enough someone answers the phone and then other times you can hear someone pick up and then the line disconnects. So, you get to start the whole fun process of waiting again. When you do speak to someone, they usually have an attitude like you are inconveniencing them. Instead of listening to the problem they are to busy trying to over talk you, giving the same generic reasons of why such and such problem occurred. Rarely ever are they able to resolve the problem that you have. Such as the fuel card 1 hour advance. Let me clear this up for you, it's 1 HOUR if the invoice is less than $6,000 and then it still takes more than an hour sometimes. Now their reasoning behind this is they must verify anything over $6,000, which I can understand to some degree, however this process should not take all day. You can literally send them all the correct contact info for a load, and they'll still say they are unable to reach someone. They'll give you this run around all day, and then when you personally call the person, they've supposedly been trying to verify the load with you're able to reach the contact immediately which leads me to believe TAFS doesn't actually reach out to them like they claim. Here is literally a note a received on a load today Unable to verify at this time called was waiting on hold for 3+ min. So I'm supposed to wait on hold for you to answer my phone call an hour plus every time but you can't wait on the phone to verify my loads so I can receive pay. As far as a rush bank wire it's pretty much out of the question. Especially if the load is over $6,000. Waiting for the slow people at TAFS you will still miss the wire cut off time no matter how early you submit the load. Another thing that waste time for getting a load funded over $6,000 is them asking a company if they have a notice of assignment on file. If it's the first time you've delivered a load for a broker, I can understand needing them to answer that. However, if it's a company you commonly run loads for, they should not have to ask if a notice of assignment is on file for every single load. That's redundant especially if we literally just factored a load with the company two days ago. This came out of a TAFS employee mouth if the load is over $6,000, we have to reverify the notice of assignment every time because some companies will still try to receive quick pay on a load after they've already invoiced with us. Reread that. Confirming a notice of assignment will NOT stop a company from doing that. Taking so long to factor a load is probably why the company had to try to beat TAFS. They could've been in a pinch and needed the funds that day and here's TAF taking their sweet time about getting the load funded. Moving on to other issues. I have submitted paperwork with everything in order and it still kicks out for stupid reasons. Like one time a load got kicked out because they said it was missing a notice of assignment when the notice of assignment was there the whole time. It was an intra company load so instead of reading the paperwork they just saw the same logo on both the rate con and notice of assignment and assumed it wasn't correct. Which caused a delay in the load being processed that was completely in order. Another problem I have, as before mentioned is whenever you finally get ahold of someone at TAFS they have an attitude. When you ask to speak with a manager there is NEVER one available, but they can request one to call you back and it can take up to 24 hours to receive a call back. HAHA we've already discussed their call back practices. There is no number for corporate, not to mention no direct emails (there's a handful but good luck getting those, and they still don't answer any quicker). So literally you just get stuck in a loop of nothing getting done and then they think you're supposed to be ok with the service you receive. That's a big fat NO for me. Especially when it's my company that you are making your money from to pay your horrible employees. Another problem I have with TAFS is loads in dispute. I know things can go wrong sometimes but TAFS is poor at communicating when there's a problem. You get one email, and it often ends up in spam. Anyway, when a load goes into dispute instead of TAFS doing their job and reaching out to see why they haven't received payment they just put the load in dispute and make you do the footwork. What my footwork has discovered more often than not, the loads in dispute usually have something to with a TAFS EMPLOYEE NOT DOING THEIR JOB. An example of this is companies not receiving an invoice from TAFS for payment. Another problem is TAFS not sending the notice of assignment. How do you NOT send the notice of assignment with an invoice when it's literally the first thing I have to provide to you to get the load factored. TAFS THIS IS YOUR JOB TO INVOICE AND PROVIDE THE PAPERWORK THAT WAS PROVIDED TO YOU IN ORDER FOR YOU TO RECEIVE PAYMENT! While on this note I had a large company (motor carrier/broker company approved for millions on TAFS credit check) tell me that TAFS is the worst factoring company possible. That they receive so many problematic calls with loads when TAFS is the factoring company. I couldn't even disagree or try to defend TAFS because my experience has been the same. Let me see if I can come with something positive to say about TAFS. Their loan program is okay, so far, we'll see what happens. The only drawbacks are, that whatever you need the funds for they claim they need an invoice. Invoices are not always available an example would be if I need a loan for fuel for my fleet because you're pulling me around on a load, I wouldn't have an invoice for that. The other draw back is if you have a load in dispute and you are approved for a loan, they use the loan to cover the load in dispute. TAFS we've already been over this. MAJORITY of the time the load in dispute is your fault. Why am I being punished for that. Another thing I don't understand is TAFS wants you to jump through so many hoops before they factor a load, and they still don't submit the paperwork to the broker correctly. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE TAFS. If you're a small company that runs cheap freight TAFS might be for you otherwise get a different factoring company. Anything is better than TAFS. P.S-TAFs if you're hiring work from home personnel let me know because I can clearly do the job your supposed to do or I can do what most of your employees do now which is nothing.

I am extremely disappointed with the factoring company's lack of cooperation and their failure to release my UCC filing (Uniform Commercial Code). TAFS has the worst customer service ever. You cannot reach anyone, there are 3 different phone numbers for the same phone line, and it takes days to get a call return. The customer service agents are rude, they hang up on you and TAFS do not honor their own agreements and make up rules as they go. This is the worst company for any trucking company to use for factoring.

Money not going into my account . Weconomy expeditors llc
This is the second time this has happened first time it happened 2 years ago all they did was just apologize but when I factory in a load and the funds was suppose to go into my account the next day I never received the money I've been calling and they keep saying the money should be in my account I dont see anything I'm done with this factoring company I'm talking to a lawyer about this my company is Weconomy expeditors llc.
Delayed payment on a batch
I submitted a batch on June 8th 2023... For some reason the only pay option was "Delayed Advance"... I didn't know why that was the only option but the note on the submitted batch said that I will be paid on the 12th. That's not too bad... I have enough gas in my truck to last me until I get paid on said batch. So when the 12th arrive, there's no deposit in my account. So I called to speak to someone about this... and after waiting 6 hours on a call back, I called them again and selected to be called back while still holding my original place in line.. "so they say", and after another hour or so, I get a call back and explain my issue. I was then told that the company I submitted for factoring had bad credit with TAFS and that's why the "Delayed Advance" was the only option available. I then told them that not possible, because I did a credit check on the portal and they had credit of about $40,000 so I booked the load with the broker. The agent then told me that the broker is showing to have bad credit on their computer. So while I had the agent on the phone I went on the TAFS portal and sure enough, the broker is still showing to have credit of $40k and I told the agent this... He then told me there was nothing he can do because they have bad credit so I have to wait until they pay them before I can get paid... I then said, that's not fair... I did business with that company because your portal stated they were good to do business with... I should not be punished for the mistakes of TAFS and that I need that money for gas to haul my current load. I then asked to speak to a supervisor and the agent said one will call me the next day... Needless to say, no supervisor called! I have called TAFS four (4) times about this batch and no one wants to get me my money! The last person I spoke to said that the brokerage company is now showing that they are in good standing in their computer! Yet, I still have to wait to get paid!
Desired outcome: I just want to be done with this company, TAFS, if you read this... Please respond with an email address I can send my termination letter!!
They made me do a delayed advance on an invoice and once the broker paid tafs gave me the money. Then the proceeded to do a charge back and claim that the broker didn’t mean to send the money for me so I had to reach out to the broker to get proof that they sent the money for me so tafs can give me my money back
I originally reached out to Tafs because I was looking for a factoring company
I originally reached out to Tafs because I was looking for a factoring company. They let me know the terms of the agreement and said before moving forward we will need you to fill out this application to see if we can get you approved. So I filled it out not knowing that once approved you are automatically put into a year agreement. There was then no contact between Tafs and myself for 5 days and during that time I was unsure if we were approved so I started working with another company. When the other company is working on getting this finalized with my first set of invoices they let me know that Tafs has already filed a UCC. Of course I was shocked because I had little to no interaction with the company between that time. So I called to ask them to cancel the ucc filing and they say we cant your in a contract with us and we dont cancel our contracts for any reason. If that is the case I have done no business with you all yet can you please cancel the ucc or let me know how much it cost to do so. I then ask to speak with a supervisor or a manger and then am told you dont need to they will tell you the same thing. I am then told if you need to speak to a manager they will have to call you back. I waited over an hr and never heard anything back so I called back in and was told that no managers were available and that they will tell you the same thing and that if you want to get factored you will have to send us your operating agreement and we will start factoring for you. I let them know I would like to just cancel so if you can please just do so. They say they do not cancel and try to force you to work with them. I even offered to pay to get out and was told no. I would rather have no factoring company at all then work with this company. It takes no time to cancel a UCC filing. I would understand if I had done business with them but I have not done a penny worth of business and am getting the worst treatment from this company.

I tried to change my factoring company on my trucking business. I requested information from TAFS. So I had been contacted ***, Strategic Business Executive. She said she can process and help me do transition to move from one factoring to another and will buy out from previous company. But transition process lasted 2 and a half months and she couldn't do what she promised me to do. Than I said ok, I will stay with my current factoring. She said everything ok. But after 6 months, I am finding out she filed UCC filing against me and my company. And she would not remove it, until one day I break my current contract, than she can take it over. Forcing me to work with her, because she locked me in with UCC filings. Now, No matter what I tried to tell her, she would not remove UCC filings against me or my company. No-one in TAFS would talk to me about this matter, than her. And she purposely refusing to work. I need help Complaintsboard.com to resolve this issue. I am happy with my current factoring company, and not planning to go somewhere. Please remove all UCC filings against me and my company
I write this complaint in the hopes of resolving an on-going conflict with our factoring company, TAFS
I write this complaint in the hopes of resolving an on-going conflict with our factoring company, TAFS. I am also hoping this shows others of how TAFS does business and interacts with its customers. Our company has been with TAFS since November. The first contract was for 2 years. We requested termination in 2018. We were informed our request was made a few days too late from the 90-day threshold. The contract automatically renewed. Once again, we requested termination in 2019. This time we were also informed we notified them 7 days too late. This despite multiple emails between us and our account manager, ***, informing him how unsatisfied we are with their service and our strong desire to terminate this relationship. I believe this company strongarms their clients into staying. When you try to call them and find someone to talk to, you're told that the department you're trying to reach only works via email. Let me be clear: you will be on hold for over 15 minutes only to be told that there is nothing they can do. When you try to communicate with them via email, they take days to respond. This is very uncharacteristic of a company department that claims to only be available by email and we do believe this constitutes an unfair business practice. All we want is for TAFS to let us negotiate our early termination. We offered to pay the early termination fee pursuant to Section 18 of our agreement with them. We believe this section of the contract allows a company that desires to terminate the agreement to do so should they agree to pay a monetary penalty. This company has new ownership and given the experience of past ownership and our current experience in our dealings with TAFS, we do not wish to maintain this factoring relationship. Given that this company has not been operating or factoring for several months, it is our wish that TAFS comes to an amicable resolution with us -- one that is fair for both parties. Please help us out.

This summer, I resigned up with TAFS rather than planning to cancel because they offered me a good deal. They offered to match my competing offer for a factoring company and match the 2%. After months of reaching out and dozens of ignored calls, I reached out to a VP on LinkedIn who rather then helping told us it's not his problem and deleted the conversations and blocked us. On every point I have been ignored or blocked and now my account cannot be found and I'm locked out from being able to receive payments. I will go bankrupt if I cannot get the money from them and by contract, I am not allow to go directly to the customer for that. If you have any questions please let me know! I would like to get my percentage adjusted from the 2.5 down to 2% pr get out of the contract due to them lying and not holding up their end of the deal.
They do not pick up at all. Their call back feature does not work. I requested a call back on Dec. 2, Dec. 5, Dec 7, Dec 9. No call back and I've tried to wait the 3 hours and my call get disconnected. I need to reach client services because they "put" money into my reserves but they wont put it into the reserves so it cant be paid out. So at the moment since I have received no callback, no email, no corrections, it is an illegal hold of funds.
In June , a Tafs agent misled me, trapping me in a one-year contract
In June , an agent from Tafs misled me, resulting in me being ensnared in a one-year contract. On the second day, he questioned my background and readiness to earn. For two months, I faced issues with the fuel card and payments; it was a disaster. Encountering various problems made working unfeasible. With money on the fuel card, I could only use a dollar and got stranded despite numerous calls for help. From day one, I sensed trouble with the contract as communicated over the phone. To summarize, they suggested I complete the paperwork and decide the next day. Upon reflection, I chose not to use Tafs. The agent was irate, insisting on the contract's completion since they held my MC. With no alternatives, I argued with him and his supervisor, who threatened a breach of contract. As a new business owner on my second day, I felt pressured. My first trip ended with my truck breaking down for days. Despite messages and pictures sent to the agent, I received no response. Later, I got a letter accusing me of breaching the contract while I was stranded and unassisted. On September 3, after three months of work, they halted my business amidst the pandemic, devastating my livelihood and affecting my family. They cited an issue with my background, yet initially allowed me to work. Their actions prevented me from providing for my children. I urgently require a release letter.

My contract was up on 11/03 with TAFS
My contract was up on 11/03 with TAFS. I started sending emails for the release letter to be sent to *** so that I may start receiving my funds directly to my business account but TAFS would not release the paperwork stating that *** still owed them for outstanding receivables so my current loads payments were still being sent to TAFS. I was not receiving pay for my loads and $7100 was sent to TAFS and should not have. After all of this, now my company is in a bind because I can't get paid by *** until the funds are refunded back to them. I have been sending numerous emails requesting for this to be resolved. I had to go to facebook and the marketing person was assisting me with information about this and giving the department a push. I can't speak to anyone over the phone now that my contract has expired, I can only send emails. I was told on November 19th that a refund would be issued, never happened. Now all of a sudden a check was sent out yesterday and received that info from facebook but not all of the funds. I got an email saying what the marketing team provided and no other info so I asked for the aCH info and I got an email to say it was a check. I responded and asked for the check information, no response! They don't provide any of the important information that is needed. I have to email at least 10 times to various people in the business and not one responds. This is so unprofessional to say the least. No one should be treated this way especially when the funds don't even belong to the company! I just want my money, I did not violate any of the contract terms and yet I can't receive a response with the important information and now I am being told the balance of my funds that are due me will not be refunded until the end of the week. I need the check information, a copy of the check and validation that this check was even mailed because I feel they don't care now that my contract has expired and they are being vindictive.

On November 25, this company removed a restriction on my account, allowing me to submit invoices for payment. On November 29, I submitted an invoice expecting to be paid, but was informed that a restriction was once again placed on my account. They have withheld funds from my business and are not responding to any of my calls. I have remained on hold throughout the business day for three consecutive days. I may be forced to cancel planned work for the future.
Hi i ask to not renew my contract and did everything i was ask to do yet still cant get my release letter so i can move forward with mu business yet stiol tafs charging me $4000 dollas handling fee with no explanation and would kindly like and explanation
On Sent: September 23, at 2:02 PM, and again on July 21, at 2:27 PM, I sent emails to cancel this contract. I have not been involved with this company since 2019, yet they have continued to renew the contract annually without my consent, despite numerous emails sent to cancel the service. My contract expired on October 15, and has been automatically renewing since then. The fine print in their contract is very confusing for customers, stating that notice of cancellation must be given not later than 90 days and not earlier than 120 days prior to the expiration of the Factoring Service Agreements.
They filed a UCC Lien against my business on the Carrier side. Since then, we have started a Brokerage business. The factoring company does not offer factoring services for brokerages, only for Carriers. I am requesting the release of the UCC for the brokerage side of the business, as they do not provide services for this aspect of my business. It is not acceptable to hold a company under contract for services that are not offered. If this issue is not resolved, I will have no choice but to initiate legal proceedings against the factoring company. There are numerous instances of unethical and sneaky practices already noted in the ComplaintsBoard.com that we must ensure do not continue. My account number with the factoring company is referenced in the correspondence.

TAFS has costed my business thousands of dollars by holding my contract which was inactive for over 10 years without offering the factoring services I signed up for, charging hidden fees with no explanation, and then putting a malicous lien on my account which is preventing me from develop the business relations necessary for me to stay afloat. My owner/operator trucking company at the time, ***, joined TAFS on 10/19. But, I stopped using TAFS services within 3 months because of horrible service. That trucking company was dissolved in 2015. In February 2022 I applied to factor ny loads with a new company with my new owner/operator trucking company, ***, only to find TAFS was holding my contract hostage and had put a lien against me for $26. A fee that was never presented to me for payment and I still don't know the reason for it. Nevertheless, I paid the $26 fee on 2/28/2022 and requested a release from the contract. TAFS refused to release me saying that my contract automatically renews annually unless they receive a termination notice 90 to 120 days from renewal date. On 4/18/22 I requested contract termination again, specifically requesting any other obstacles that may be made known, to which TAFS responded "Thank you for contacting TAFS Notices. This email is to confirm that the pending termination has been received 109 days prior to termination date, making you eligible for termination on August 1, 2022." On 8/1/22 I requested my long anticipated release to which TAFS responded "Hello, There is currently a balance of $179.50 owed for the Security Interest diligence expenses and fees. Once this is clear a release can be provided. TAFS wire instructions are attached. Thank you, Notices at TAFS" TAFS has not formally billed me for any services since they have not provided any services. I will pay you gain my freedom from this horrible business, However, I want to publicize their unfair practices.

My company has been factoring with TAFS since 5/10
My company has been factoring with TAFS since 5/10. We signed a one-year contract for factoring services. There have been several issues with the company holding funds, charging a one-hour processing fee, not paying/releasing the funds for several days later, and more recently holding funds in a reserve account that have been paid by the third-party logistics company. On 12/31, my company submitted an invoice for $1250.00, and TAFS took $900.00 due to reserves being negative. TAFS claimed to have no payment on a load that was completed and hauled on 9/26, for $900.00. After providing proof of payment, several client service reps stated the pay was received on 12/30 and it would be pending, to be released on Tuesday 1/4/2022. On Tuesday, 1/4/2022, my company submitted an invoice for $1485.00, of which TAFS took $1,000.00 due to reserves being negative, claiming to have no payment on an invoice also hauled on 10/6. This load was paid out to TAFS on 11/2. After speaking to several client service reps, I was informed that it was my job to provide proof of payment to an email that is not monitored. Client services also informed me before hanging up several times, that it was not their job as a factoring company to verify payment on loads, even though that is why I am paying a portion of my loads to them. After asking to be connected with a supervisor, I was told no. I was informed they are not able to send proof of remittance unless a representative from TAFS calls and requests it. Client Services said on record that they would not be doing this and hung up on me. I have been also asking for information on who to send contract termination paperwork to as there is a discrepancy in the contract and I don't want any issues when it is time to terminate this contract at the 120-day mark.

I notified TAFS factoring since my last contract renewal (over one year ago) that I would be leaving
I notified TAFS factoring since my last contract renewal (over one year ago) that I would be leaving. I kept contacting them as it got closer to my allowed days to provide termination notice to make sure I did it correctly and on time. Once submitted to buyout department I talked to ***, one of our rep managers, and discussed the new factoring agreement I was going to move to with a company called ***. He kept trying to convince me I cannot get such a good deal and tried to keep me as a client. I was determined to leave; days before my contracted officially terminated 09/02, I got aging report and paperwork from him since I would lose access to my portal. I was in constant contact with TAFS to make sure everything went smooth. *** and I reached out for over 2 weeks to finish buyout and get release letter. TAFS buyout department kept dragging their feet for 2 weeks not answering or delaying answer. I have sent them tons of emails and requested call backs with no calls returned for days until 09/13. We received info requesting $15,000 extra in buyout "handling fees" which is not part of my contract with TAFS. They have provided no proof of fees or charges claimed and are holding my company hostage and I feel horribly threatened and abused by buyout department for TAFS. They are trying to force me to pay an extra $15,000 in handling fees to close my account and move to my new factoring company yet they cannot answer how those fees are calculated or where they come from. They said I cannot look at my contract (that has all termination rules) because it expired 09/02, but we requested the buyout before then... but I am supposed to just accept whatever fees they decided while having no current contract or agreement with me. I am unable to move forward and factor or work because they will not finish the buyout and termination process, so I feel they are aggressively attempting to hold my business completely hostage to force payment not owed.

1/4 we decided to start a truck business
1/4 we decided to start a truck business. We called a guy named *** from TAFS for factoring who told us to sign up with them and gave us their perks. We continued to shop around and told him we were gonna hold off, but he said he could just start us with a fuel card with great benefits and if we decide to do factoring with them to let him know. We said yes and signed for the fuel card. We then started hearing all this bad stuff about TAFS and agreed that we would not sign up with them and chose a company called ***. Once we filled out the application for *** which was around early February, a lady named *** called us back and told us we were already signed up with a factoring company. As we are new to this we were of course really confused. She told us that it shows in the UCC Filings that we were locked in with TAFS until 2/9/22. This means that *** conned us into signing for the fuel card but never mentioned the fact that that basically locked us in to TAFS and we were in essence bullied into going with them. They have had multiple rude reps, take weeks to pay us for loads, and even a phone call threatening to retrieve 10k from us from a company saying we had an accident with their freight when in actuality the head of accounting never bothered to check the DOT/MC as there are hundreds of companies that have the names "Cargo" and "Xpress". She mixed us up with another company. Once 2/9/22 came, I called to get a release letter so that we could move on. They said they were still owed at the time 15k from companies that we worked for. We were told they will not send release letter until the balance was paid, but this was not specified in the beginning. I have a new authority but I'm told I still can't get factoring because they will search for any customers names tied to any company still held hostage by TAFS, call brokers that may have a load with them and lie and say TAFS should be paid for the load. They now have lawsuits for this very reason.

When I was originally contacted by TAFS as a new Mc#, the new sale rep worked for months on my contract and sent me a RD in February. However, our company was not ready to be fully active as an authority and could not run yet, until beginning of April. I was assured everything would be fine, so at the last minute when I was ready to start booking loads and running as an active authority, TAFS rep *** resent my contract over and we resigned everything. It was such a chaotic mess because none of my fuel cards from TAFS or paperwork was ready so we were all rushing and my rep forgot to change the dates on the contract when we signed at the end of March . My whole experience with TAFS has been a nightmare; loads never factored at a reasonable rate (sometimes took more than 3 days to verify a load), or my original rep would be super rude to me. I got a new rep and by the end of the year I had asked her to renegotiate because I was not happy with many experiences from TAFS, and she declined. I talked with her many times she never once helped me with my contract or anything. We noted in order to cancel I needed all debt/unpaid invoices to clear. I came back and found out they auto renewed my contract based on February's date - I immediately requested termination of my contract as the February date is a typo and my March date led me to still be in the time frame to request termination. For 1 1/2 months now, TAFS has been telling me they are renegotiating for me, then tells me last week they are not. It was all a lie - I have been threatened and armstronged into staying with TAFS, telling me if I seek legal council I will lose and I will never go anywhere and TAFS will never let me leave. I received 1 month of empty calls from TAFS, where nobody would talk, but sit on the phone then hang up. I was told nobody can interpret my contract or fix the date issue and I am stuck dealing with them or shutting my company down, because ***, etc. is stealing their business.

Tafs is a financial company that settles invoices for trucking companies and pays them in advance before the invoices are actually paid by a shipper (factoring). Since signing up with Tafs they've causes significant hardships including making it extremely difficult to sever ties with them based on what feels to be a predatory contract. Rather than list all of their shortcomings as an entity, the major flaws will be pointed out. To begin they aggressively market to you how advantageous their fuel card and client services are knowing that's false. Their client services team has ONE decent rep to 5 rude, condescending and unhelpful reps. To make matters worse you are promised a dedicated rep but another false claim as hold times are always at least ONE HOUR and they now offer a horrific callback option which usually doesn't work. It doesn't work because the reps call and HANG THE PHONE UP. This has occurred repeatedly, in fact just yesterday it happened. And I have to keep calling them because they reject invoices being submitted for frivolous reasons to keep their stats high as processors. Multiple times documents have shown clearly all pertinent information yet its rejected saying to blurry or not enough details included which is infuriating working in this industry with razor thin margins. The most recent issue im having is their lack of care or communication when dealing with delayed invoices or legitimate mistakes. They have a policy that says if you don't suit a bill of lading then your invoice is automatically rejected and must wait until the debtor sends payment to Tafs. I've had two invoices where the WRONG bill of lading was sent and instead of allowing a fair grace period they give 48hrs which is unreasonable if you can't get a hold of anyone on a weekend. Payments from debtors can take 30-60 days which Tafs knows and doesn't care that you've paid fuel for the load which puts carriers at significant losses. I want out-of my contract with Tafs asap. PREDATORY

Once again ,this makes three times tafs has held my invoices on billing issues at which these invoices have been paid ,making me as an owner operator have to halt all operation because I have to wait over a week each time waiting for them to recieve a payment from the broker ,which is putting my company at risk of having to file a bankruptcy filling because these people do not care for the people that make it possible for them to operate I've been waiting for over two days for a call back because there is no way to talk to anyone until they call you ,this time they have held money on an invoice that wasn't even 60 days old it was released into resevrse this morning, an I still can't get it to process an no call back .this is a big problem did this same thing little over two weeks ago I was stuck in Dallas tx for 4 days because I couldn't get fuel to run because tafs don't do their job they will tell you that since they buy the invoices it's the owner operators job to have to make sure that the broker pays them ,an charge you fees an more fees for doing there job that they are supposed to do they can't pickup the phone an call an get it taken care of they hold your money an won't tell you they ate going to hold it til you already submit a batch then they will send you an email telling you that they are holding ur funds on the invoices that they should be or already have called on impossible people to deal with always got some lame excuse for anything you say ,this is by far the most horrible factoring company ever ,service is unexcectable by far, rud people, will not release from contract that they will illegally hold you in ,at no cost to what their actions due to your business they don't care ,an all they can tell you is it is ur responsibility to check the portal, so basically you do their job for them they charge you for it an the fee plus transfer fees that are ridiculous an charge you again for the same fees that already apply twice for held invoices ,they charge a fee to get them out of reserves yeah a joke

My contract ended July 2021 and I have yet to receive a letter of release or get the UCC terminated. Even though I gave them the 90 notice that I didn’t want to renew my contract. Signing with you’ll was a huge mistake.
I have done work with my own truck and now TAFS put our funds in reserve, because they stated we haven’t factored in 14 days . I can’t believe in this country we still have people working but still not getting paid for the job. I guess a form of SLAVERY still exist in this country.
