cracking dashboard / customer care
2004; Toyota 4Runner
Dashboard recently started cracking just like all others from this era. Cracking follows peeling then melting. The melting creates dangerous window glare. Toyota is aware of this. It is caused by a Toyota engineering defect. They did a small enhanced warranty. They need to do a FULL RECALL! ! Spoke with Toyota customer care, horrible ! Toyota position, we don't have to help you.. were not obligated too, therefore we aren't. Unreal, what's it going to take for a recall ? A body count? People crashing because they can't see because of window glare caused by a meltdown dashboard. Big FAIL Toyota!
tata indica vista
Dear sirs,
Happy new year 2018
It's a bad new year 2018 for me. as per the telephonic conversation with you; I would like to bring to your attention that my car tata indica vista kl-03 w 5453 model 2013 has been taken for repairing in focus tata motors kozhencherry, pathanamthitta (dist) kerala. for the last 1 week it has been in workshop to find out what is the problem in not starting the car. still 1 week they couldn't find out what the problem is with the car.
Still now they couldn't find out what the problem is and have taken all parts outside of car to find out where is the mistake. what is the use now after taking all parts outside and checking. don't you have good service people to check out? when the car brought itself and after 1 week every 6 months I am taking my car to there for each servicing & repairing for one or other problems. you can check out the history with focus motors.
Please do take necessary action from your side otherwise I will be taking action from my side to the consumer court and media for no fault of mine.
Awaiting reply and action from your side
Regards

no courtesy care while waiting a month for part (super ace tata bakkie used for business)
Currently my husband's losing money as tata refuses to give him a courtesy car while he needs to wait a month for his bakkie. I just think its bad service form tatas side because if they fixing the problem in the first time he should not have been in this situation now. we are currently busy dealing with a lawyer and every possible place who will help us to fight this as they are messing with someones income.
poor service from automatrix mangalore for indica
Vehicle : tata india - petrol version
Vehicle no : ka 19 z 3994
Registred owner :jayashree tantri.
This vehicle has continuous problems. one of the special problem is petrol smell inside the vehicle while running. this problem is there from since purchase and automatrix is failed to correct ot permanently.
Recently I have sent the vehicle to automatrix and while returning the vehicle they disconnected the petrol gauge with solving the problem. now while we call them they say one reason per day. and the vehicle still having the issues.
The vehicle is being used in a place which is 45kms away from service centre. who will bear the cost / time of taking in /out from service center.
Vehicle is driven by a lady and hence it is difficult to bear the automatrix service. this causes poor reputation to tata products.
Can someone take a serious step in solving the problem.

faulty vehicle - tata zest
I am using tata zest xm rt since last 2.5 years and registration no is mh 14 eu 5205 and purchased from pandit auto, pimpri, pune.
I am frequently (every 15 to 20 days) visiting to service center pandit auto bhosari and now panchajanya service ceneter, pcmc, pune for below issues and still no concrete solution is provided to me.
Every time (I believe) they are doing only some temporary settings or some times they completely denying about issue.
And hence it is prove that my vehicle is faulty since manufactured.
Issue :
Vehicle having intermittent (not regukar or every day) trouble in engine knocking, transmission, hard clutch, clutch jump and very low or no pickup and cannot drive car more than two km's.
Vehicle driven only 20000 km.
So please help me to allot me new vehicle or refund my money on urgent basis.
Today I visited to panchjanya, service center in pcmc chnichwad and demonstrated below issues, but they are denying issue in vehicle :
Shown engine knocking (they agree), right side pooling (not agree), low pickup (not agree), poloing while bracking (not agree)
Same time I have given my vehicle to other zest owners to drive and everyone is agree in said issues.
Since pooling, hard transmission, hard stearing and pooling while breaking issues are intermittent and not coming on regular basis, but engine knocking and low pickup are regular issues.
I have provided artifacts like engine noise recording, snap shot of error.
They are just connceting laptop to record issue, but I am thinking how they are judging pooling, breaking system etc on based on software and also why they are not considering there might be issue in ecu system.
You can also refer same issues are reported by many zest owners on social media.

poor after services
My tata xenon 2.2 broke down in the first week of february 2017 with a damaged engine.
Because my tata broke down close to a third party service center I requested them to check my engine. on 15 february 2017 a third party service center invoiced tata service center (main road diep rivier cape town) for the required parts to repair my vehicle. I was informed that head office are moving and that parts will be distributed from 20 february 2017.
On 20 february 2017 the third party service center and myself were informed that the parts are being shipped from johannesburg to cape town.
Some parts arrived however since 22 february 2017 we questioned the outstanding parts and requested the date they would arrive. we received poor assistance from tata parts division diep rivier. nobody could provide clarity on the outstanding parts or the date it would arrive.
On 24 february 2017 I sent e-mails to the parts manager as well as the individual who dealt with the parts. I received no response to my e-mails. I have spoken to tata head office and I was informed that they will get back to me, this never happened.
I recommend that if tata aim is to be a force in south africa, you set up parts divisions in all major towns and employ staff that can deal with customers. there is no reason for parts to be short delivered, and if it is you rectify your mistake asap, you don't have a don't care attitude.
My desirable resolution for this issue is that
tata sa customer care ignored my complaints
I bought my tatta supper ace in september last year. the day I went to get my vehicle there was chip marks on the windscreen. I complained about that. so the manager marius at the dealer I port elisabeth made them fix the stone chips. I was not happy but did not have a choice bu to take the vehicle. I phoned tata customer care. and complaind about the problem. the manager told them that I am not tlking the through. but there was 3 chip marks on the windscreen. he sead that here was only one. I have 3 witness's that was there. so when I drove the vehicle out of there the manager first connected the speedometer. but I was on my way home when a stone hit the windscreen. so now they use that not to fix my windscreen. a month after that my diff broke and the vehicle was towed in to t. tata in port elisabeth. 3 months later I got the vehicle back. 2 months later the vehicle was towed in again. there was a oil leak between the gearbox and engine.. I also complaind about the clock in the vehicle that is not working right. I had to pay for a new one.. but the new one is also not working right. my left side seat the back rest is so loose it rattels when I drive. my front suspention is not right. the vehicle has done 13000 km. and I had to bye new tyers for front.
I contracted tata customer care by email to complain but they just dont care. so plesae can you help me. I never used the vehicle vor business. that vehicle hase never even had a big load on it. I solely use the vehicle for my one use and to do shipping.
Please wil you help me this is my first vehicle that idid bye brand new. and all I have is a lot of crap.
tata super ace vehicle faulty vehicle and no help from the dealership
This is my nightmare experience with imperial multi franchise and tata accordian investments,
Vehicle : tata superace
Registration : dp 34 lf gp
Date of purchase : april 2015
Mileage : 28, 000km
Name : janine fraser
We purchased the tata super ace on 21/3/2015, within the duration of 1 month we had to take the vehicle in for wheel alignment as it pulled severely to the left,
After numerous visits the vehicle still had the same problem and hence in less than 1 year the front tires are already worn.
Tata told us that the canopy is causing the tires to wear quickly so at our own expense we changed the canopy and the problem still persists.
They now tell us we need new tires and that there is nothing wrong with the vehicle.
The vehicle has since been serviced by imperial nelspruit at 10, 000km they said the vehice has problems with the wheel system and thats why it pulls to one side but there is nothing that they can do about it.
The vehicle was taken to tata germiston on the 27th of january this year for
1) 20, 000km service
2) wheels still pulling to the left
3) hard start in the mornings
4) black smoke from exhaust in the morning
5) radiator fluid leaking/disappearing
The vehicle was collected the same evening, we were informed that all the problems were fixed, we left with the vehicle and noticed all the problems still existed.
Vehicle was returned the next day and again collected in the evening, same problems still exist.
Discussion was had with mark (imperial service manager) who mentioned that tata vehicles have a problem with cracked cylinder heads as a factory problem,
He called tata hq who informed him that the required parts were available.
We were told to return the vehicle in the morning on the 1st of february and that the repairs/change would be done.
Vehicle was delivered to imperial germiston, after which we have had to call on a daily basis to find out the progress, the excuses in that duration were as follows
1) tata hq has not given authorization
2) tata has authorized but now does not have the part
3) tata has an alternate part but it will need engineering
4) engineer has not returned the part
5) part has come back and will be installed
6) part has been installed but the tappet cover is wrong
7) tata will send tappet cover
8) tata does not have tappet cover
9) tata has said to remove tappet cover from vehicle in the showroom
10) vehicle will be ready by 11am on 22 february.
22 february - collected vehicle and has the following problems
1) tapping sound from engine
2) metal clanking from bottom
3) black smoke from exhaust
4) radiator fluid still disappearing
5) vehicle pulls to the left
Returned vehicle on the same day.
Mark and ab of imperial germiston say that the vehicle will need a new engine
And that will take time, in the meanwhile they have given us a tata indica for a few days, I have a snack manufacturing company, its a small new business and now I have to make deliveries in a car the size of a shoebox.
Communication between tata, imperial and us is terrible, if you do not call them they will never call you.
Our business depends on the vehicle which was purchased brand new with a warranty and service plan to avoid mechanical issues.
In the duration of all this we have communicated directly with tata hq (mr gavin)
Who informed us that they will do what they can but in the meanwhile there is nothing that can be done but wait, when I told him that we need to cancel this purchase as we can not operate without a vehicle, his response was "thats up to you" he promised to call and keep us updated but that has not yet happened.
1st march - the vehicle is now ready according to imperial, when collected the vehicle still pulls to the left and the fuel consumption is very high, imperial germiston says that these vehicles are faulty and tata is not the kind of company that cares about what the clients are going through.
7th april - we have had to call road side assist to collect the vehicle in sabie, mpumalanga because all the fuel has leaked out from the engine compartment, the vehicle was taken to imperial nelspruit,
After 3 days there they informed us there was a problem with the diesel system and they have repaired it.
July 21st - the vehicle has been taken back to imperial nelspruit because the turbo and exhaust are making loud noises, after 1 week tata informs us that there is a problem with the engine again and that tata hq has yet to approve the repairs, we are still waiting for the vehicle.
I called tata head quarters and spoke to ori who informs me the vehicle will be repaired though she can not say how long it will take, when I asked her for a replacement vehicle as this vehicle is clearly faulty she said that was not in tatas policy, I asked her about the consumer act and her response was to do whatever I wanted.
Its now 10 days we have no vehicle, I have been calling every few hours to get an update from imperial nelspruit and tata hq, tata hq claims the part is not available in south africa (how can a vehicle be on the market and have no parts) they have ordered it and it will arrive on the 8th of august.
Meanwhile imperial nelspruit claim they have found the part at imperial witbank and it will be dispatched immediately, the car should be ready by the 3rd of august.
On the 3rd I called imperial and was told the parts have arrived and the car will be ready in the afternoon, I go to collect the car and am told the parts have not arrived and my vehicle has not been worked on and that the parts are expected on the 8th again because imperial witbank did not have the part.
On the 4th I called them again and was told they had made arrangements and the part was already delivered and the vehicle would be ready on the 5th.
On the 5th the vehicle is still not ready because the part did not arrive, but the part that was ordered is still arriving on the 8th.
Later that day the floor manager tells me the part has been sent out after taliking to tata hq and was to arrive that evening and the vehicle would be ready on saturday.
Saturday 6th, the part has not arrived from tata hq, now the system shows the part was ordered but there is no eta on when it will arrive, the mechanic at imperial tells me they too have been waiting on parts for 3 months from tata hq and that I should just dispose the tata and get another vehicle.
I get very upset and the mechanic and floor manager make some calls to a senior person at tata hq, who tells us that the individual part is not available but there is a complete kit, he is dispatching it right away and will make sure its at imperial nelspruit first thing monday morning on the 8th and by lunchtime the vehicle will be ready for collection.
Monday 8th, I call imperial and they inform me the part has arrived but the work will take a little longer and though tuesday is a holiday they will work on it and I can collect the vehicle on wednesday 10th.
Wednesday 10th I am at imperial nelspruit and the vehicle was not worked on and the part never arrived.
The general manager now gets involved and insists that tata is a very problamatic vehicle and that they will arrange a trade in immediately for another vehicle, he then proceeds to offer me a trade value of r 45, 000 for the vehicle (I paid r 150, 000 less than 2 years ago for it new, and its still under warranty)
I am told that tata khas no value.
All the staff at imperial openly talk about how unreliable and useless these vehicles are and that they encounter such problems regularly.
The general manager tells me he will put his neck on the line and make sure the part arrives today (11th) this will not happen.
11th august, to my surprise I have been asked to collect the vehicle and that it is ready, I have collected the vehicle and after driving 400km there is a rattling sound from the engine and a hissing sound when in gear, I have to take it back to nelspruit again.
Now the vehicle has a diesel leak and the same engine problem that was just fixed is back.
In the mean time I have lost most of my business and my faith in the south african consumer rights.
We have no rights what so ever.
Tata should have refunded me the money for this vehicle or given me another vehicle, how it is possible that a vehicle that is not road worthy, has no parts, has no obligation to its warranty is allowed in our country is un believable.
The end result is that I have to buy another vehicle and take the loss on this vehicle, keep quiet about it because there are no rights for me as a consumer.
Tata and imperial should be held liable for this and they should not be allowed to take advantage of paying clients.
These are too many problems for a vehicle that was purchased new and is still under warranty, the vehicle will never run more than a couple of months at a time.
Please help me I am losing my business because I have no vehicle and can not afford to buy another vehicle while I am still paying for this one and even when I do have the vehicle it is not reliable so I am limited in my business this way too.
Tata has ruined my business, the vehicle is faulty non stop
truck problems and improper repair
Hello,
We bought a tata 1 ton truck in feb this year.
Within 6 months and less then 10 000 kms it started leaking oil.
They sent a tow truck and took it to tata/kia randurg
They had to order parts which took 3 days to get repaired, excluding the weekend,
No courtesy van was provided even though its my husband business tool
It started leaking again after repair and took the tata/kia the glen - they charged us for randburg's shoddy work
Took both issues up with headoffice (ororiseng moloisang - [protected]@tatasa.co.za) and was told to go ask for our money back at tata/kia the glen
To date I have been asked if issue resolved, advised them no, but I guess its my problem.
[protected]@tatasa.co.za"
super ace
On 29/9 my superace broke down and as it is still under warranty I called tata road assist who promptly arranged for it to be collcted and taken to tata paarl. the next day, upon enquiring what was wrong, I found out the car was missing. eventually traced it to tata stikland who stated the engin needs to be replaced but they are awaiting autorization from tata. a week later, during which time I made about 10 calls to tata (gavin and christel) on [protected] all I found is that they are avoiding the problem by saying the car was not serviced. when I provide proof it has they find some other tactic to delay matters. up to now, a week later, I still have no idea what is happening and we use the bakkie daily for work. all I want is for the bakkie to be repaired so that I can get back to work or at least an indication of when I will have it back. please be warned that while tata is a fairly good bakkie the service is pathetic!

Customer care and service
We purchased a new TATA Super Ace for our business from Tata Vryburg last year April (2013). After driving for about 5000kms and complaining to the service department that the bakkie was over heating, we were told it was normal. After driving back and forth to Vryburg, 200km one way, on numerous occasions to find the fault being the radiator having a pinhole in it, the bakkie gave us endless trouble. The radiator was eventually replaced, then the diesel was leaking into the radiator. Then the clutch cable broke and the gear box was replaced and the engine seized. After complaining to Customer Care and with numerous emails back and forth with Madhu Singh from Tata South Africa head office, we eventually received a new Super Ace on 26 March 2014 from Tata Highlands North, Andre Marx. After driving for 1000km, we complained that the clutch was tight and something was not right. We were told that it is fine and it was because it was a new vehicle. Well, the clutch broke and the gear box was replaced after 2 months of it sitting at Tata Vryburg. When enquiring about when our vehicle would be returned, Corne, the service manager told me it was ready and has been standing on their showroom floor for a couple of days. When I asked him to deliver the vehicle it was made clear that it was not their problem and we were to pay for it to be delivered. I did not agree, eventually they sent a driver to deliver the vehicle, 10 July 2014, and we had to give him money to return to Vryburg. As well as not having a reliable vehicle for our business, the paperwork was done in haste and we have a balloon payment of 40% which we only became aware of upon receipt of our first bank statement.
We have had nothing but problems and are paying thousands of Rand for a vehicle we do not have or cannot use.
Our next step would be to spend thousands on a lawyer to help us give the vehicle back and cancel the finance. We are at a loss for assistance and have fallen victim to non existent customer care in TATA MOTORS.
Our attempts to get assistance have fallen on deaf ears and we are being passed from pillar post.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Why is tata so slow in supplying spares for their product

New Vehicle Faulty
During January this year we bought what was supposed to be a NEW 2014 Tata Xenon Double Cab bakkie only to notice the following faults:
1. Surface rust on doors and roll bar.
2. Over spray on the passenger side rear wheel arch liner.
3. Three of the tyres on the vehicle are Federal and one of the tyres is a Apollo (The spare tyre is also a Federal)
4. The front door panels are not fitting correctly.
5. No lighter
6. Passenger seat making a VERY LOUD squeaking noise.
We requested that this vehicle be replaced with a new one - only to be informed that Tata is prepared to fix any defects but that they are not prepared to replace it.
Why should I pay for a NEW car if I am getting a second hand one, that is rusting and requires panel beating etc. after only three weeks?
Tata SA - your response to this issue was unacceptable and I am EXTREMELY disappointed!

Tejaswi Motors Cheating
To,
The Chairman,
Tata Motors
Passenger cars division
Ref: Tata Indigo AP 28 CB 6821 - M/s. Tejaswi Motors Pvt. Ltd., Opp. Cyber Towers, Madhapur, Hyderabad.
Respected Sir,
I would like to bring to your kind notice the agonizing experience and great disappointing that one of your service dealer Tejeswi Motors brought to me over the past one month. Please take a moment to read though the whole experience and why TATA will lose trusted customers due to unethical service dealers such as Tejeswi Motors.
I work for Accenture and as I set out to go to my office during one of the days in the last week of November 2013, the car does not start. I ask my husband to check the car and he found oil leakage below the bonnet. He dropped me off at my office and I called Tajeswi Motors and informed them of the problem.
We stay not far from Tejeswi Motors in Madhapur at Indu Fortune Fields, a large residential community and a large pool of TATA passenger vehicle owners reside in this community. The following day they took the vehicle and said there was some pump problem and it would cost around Rs. 6000 to Rs. 7000. I agreed to go ahead and asked them to fix the problem. They charged me Rs. 5489 and delivered the car on 26th November 2013. I was happy as they charged me less than estimated. But my happiness was short-lived and was not aware there was a larger agenda behind this.
Even as they delivered the car after rectifying it as claimed by Tejaswi Motors. The same oil leak cropped up again after using the car just for one day and the car does not start the next morning.
Disheartened, I asked my husband to drop me off at the office and called the customer service of Tejaswi Motors once again. The executive said that they would send someone to look into it. They sent someone after two days to take the car. The service advisor said due to oil leakage, the radiator got burned etc. I just agreed to what he said as I dint understand the technical issues. The service advisor estimated the cost to around Rs. 8, 000 to Rs. 12, 000. I agreed to go ahead and repair it since, I was already facing problem with commuting the office daily.
Again after two days, the service advisor calls up and tells me that it would cost Rs. 30, 000 since they have to replace them with new parts. I was pained and asked the advisor that they are not keeping their word and they are not ethical. This is misleading and cheating! I asked him to deliver the car back and I would get it repaired elsewhere. He however said, to put the parts back into the car it would cost again Rs. 8, 000. I said not to put it back and deliver it back. Surprisingly, they took a week to send back my vehicle. By then it was already two weeks since the car was under repair and I had made alternate arrangement to commute my office.
This experience has resulted in negative feeling in TATA vehicles due to the greediness of Tejaswi motors. I am very disappointed with the service as this entire experience has put me through lot of mental agony and stress. I feel I am being charged for the same issue twice for the fault of Tejaswi Motors. To this date i.e., over two weeks, the car is still in my parking lot without any repair with all the engine parts open by the service dealer. Is this the way you treat your customer? I would like a full resolution to my issue & with all the problems fixed at no extra cost to reinstate my faith in TATA motors.
I just hope that the Tata motor’s management will do something to reinstate confidence in many disappointed customers like me.
Expecting an early & prompt response.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Faulty vehicle and no aftersales service. The list of faults include
1. Fuel gauge and fuel float faulty.
2. Faulty gear-box.
3. Rust on boot.
4. SRS light coming on.
5. Car not starting and unsafe.
Yes your absolutely right Tata as a brand is loosing it's shine because of all these franchises service centres they dupe innocent people with money even if a part is perfect they say it's faulty as they have a target looks like. Tata my St cancel all these franchise and come direct to market in services this will also save the company from loosing it's shine last thing the worst people to deal with is Tejaswi motors tadbund
defective product
Dear sir/ madam, I am writing from the state of rajasthan, udaipur district. I purchased a new tata indica vista quadrajet vx on 1 december 2011 from the dealer u. n. automobiles udaipur. the vehicle number is rj 27 cc 0383; the owner’s name is pooja devija.in april 2012, I faced a problem of too many jerks and no pick up in the car; there were some disturbances in the audio player also. I made a verbal complaint about the issue and the dealer kept the vehicle for 15 days with him to diagnose and solve the problem. while handling me the vehicle back they said the problem was solved. but after going smooth for some days the problem reoccurred, the dealer again took the car and tried to find the faults. I was informed that he has changed some parts of the vehicle and now it will not trouble me anymore. but the problem continued again after some days. since then it has been 5-6 times they have kept the car in the workshop for 2-3 days each and tried to resolve the problem but have been unsuccessful to even diagnose what actually the problem is. whenever the vehicle was in the workshop they took test drives of it and the diesel of the test drives of the vehicle was also paid by us. just once they gave us a replacement vehicle, whose punctured tyre charges were also to be paid by us. and now they are telling us that the vehicle is to be kept in the workshop for an undefined time till they come to know the problem, not even ready to supply with a replacement vehicle. and the diesel that will be used for test drives will again be paid by us. we are ready to give the vehicle in the workshop of u. n. automobiles, for not more than 7 days, and not ready to pay any charges. and a replacement vehicle should be provided to us for that duration. but now the problem should be solved completely, if it is not solved this time also then we want the dealer to pay the full amount of the car back to us. n. s.:- there is one more authorized showroom of tata in udaipur, i.e. classic automobile. when they were approached regarding this same problem, they refused to take the vehicle in the workshop saying it would affect their feedback

menufacturing defect
Tata safari reg no mpo9 cj-5045, chassis no mat403723bnc03935, engine no. byyj05111, invoice no jabind-[protected], purchase date 30/03/2011, owner ujjawal sanghvi
We purchased the tata safari from tata’s authorized dealer m/s jabalpur motors ltd add. block no c-1. vip route no 1 new siyagunj, indore on 30th march 2011.
Right from the beginning my tata safari was giving problems i’m having starting problem. on the dashboard service light blink & vehicle does not start or stop while running, & these problems were shown to jabalpur motor workshop but the problem did remained and we were not satisfied it, we requested at the same time to give replacement but it did not happen, they advice me that jabalpur motor is a dealer not manufacturer, get connect with tata motor. then we approach tata motor customer care service by mail &by phone but they are not interested in solving problem & never reply my mail.
I sent safari to jabalpur motor workshop for repairing, 22 times for same problem since purchases but my problem is still not solved. (can anybody imagine 22 times at workshop from 12 month, which means almost 2 times in a month).
my safari is still at dealer’s workshop (22nd time) since 07 april 2012.
We insisted to jabalpur motor& tata motor that this particular unit is of inferior quality, defective and problematic from the beginning & we request to give replacement of the unit so that our confidence & faith is restored in them.
But tata motor & jabalpur motor indore is not ready to give a replacement and not ready to give me my money back, and insisting on repairs, why we should have a vehicle which is giving problem from day one. can consumer has any legal right to complaint regarding this & protect our right to have quality product? please reply if have any law regarding this.
Is there anybody who can solve my problem or please advise me that how I can get back my valuable money from tata motor.
Thanks & regards
Ujjawal sanghvi,
