tata sky is not working issue almost 25 days

mismanagement in collecting monthly subscription

The last date for recharge of my Tata Sky subscription was 17th Aug 2018. I was not in station on that date. Promptly the Tata Sky disconnected the DTH service and I noticed that the service was not available on 17th when I returned home on 18th morning around 7 am. I paid the subscription of Rs. 310 on the morning of 18th Aug 2018 around 10 AM. Immediately I received an SMS at 11.12 AM on 18th Aug 2018 to the effect that the next date for recharge is 19th Sep. To my utter surprise I received an SMS on 9th Sep 2018 that the next date for recharge is 16th Sep as against the SMS received on 18th Aug referred to above.
Here I wish to state that previously I was availing DTH service from Sun Direct. They played all sorts of dirty tricks by raising the monthly subscription suo moto at exorbitant rates. So i decided to change the DTH service provided by the other organizations such as Airtel, Videocon, Reliance, Dish TV and Tata Sky. I have chosen Tata Sky because it belongs to Tata Group.I was born in the year 1939. As far as my knowledge goes, there was no case of tax evasion or IT raids being conducted on the organizations of Tata Group of Companies.
Arising out of the above I wish to point out the following -
- The Tata Sky DTH service was installed in my house on 27th July 2017. I am paying the monthly changes regularly. In such a scenario how the monthly charges payable on 27th of every month came down to 16th of this month. It is also not out of place to mention that I have gone through the Complaints Board of Tata Sky where grave complaints were made and Tata Sky has admitted in their website that only 20% of the complaints have been resolved so far viz., out of 9245 only 1836 have been resolved. There is no denying the fact that certainly it is a blot on the Tata Sky.
I have made my position very clear and it is for the Tata Sky authorities to give their explanations failing which I have no other option except to simply refer my complaint to Tata Sons directly for redressal of my grievance.

I have seen these Sony Max +1, Star Gold +1, Zee Cinema +1, Colors +1, Sony +1, Zee TV +1, Star Plus +1, +1 while subscription of Dhamaka (non-HD) package of 220 Rs (2420 Rs annual) but not able to find this in service I got.
I am already paying for Base pack (242O to 616O) + Addon Pack + Additional services.
Is my mistake I am using HD setup box and not paid Additional HD services of 175 Per Month (1925 Annual) just for viewing them on HD as I cannot afford it on top of base pack and addon pack charges.
I think its my mistake to remain with TATA SKY who charges for Base pack and does not provide promised number of channels service as they want a heavy an additional HD service fees just to view some of Base pack channels for which I have already paid.
TATA SKY excuses are like you don't have HD subscription / you have HD setup box. If TATA SKY can't provide, TATA SKY should not show while subscription.attached list of channels.
I don't want to know any hidden reasons. Whatever problems you have should be notified.. I will go to consumer court.

Wrong billing.
Recently my Tata sky dish was relocated by a Tata sky service person, due to poor signal reception. On day 3, after the activity, I had received an SMS with charges double the amount that was stated by the service person. I was totally shocked to find that the account was also deactivated, as that faulty charge was auto debited from my account and it has gone to a negative balance. I made number of calls, registered complaints, but still no action was taken in this regard, from Tata sky. Instead I suffered a mental torture and had to pay additional amount to render the services. Culprit has to be brought to justice. This is pure treachery. Need immediate action on this complaint. Its already end of day 4. Lot of mental disturbance was created due to this wrong billing.

my customer id is [protected]. we had changed our SD box with New HD box last year on 17 august 2017, this year just when our warranty expired the next day our box started giving problem, we called up on customer care on 19th august because there was no signal since morning when it was raining heavily and then in the evening when we switched it on there was still no signal.so we called the customer care and they asked us to switch the box on and off, it still didnt work then the person asked to remove the card replace it back and switch it off n on again, we did and it started working but the next day in morning it again was'nt working showing the error that there was no card.we filed complained the technician came next day he switched it on and it was working automatically.then he removed the card and reinserted it an it stopped working again.so he said the box will need to be replaced and we will have to pay 400 Rs.
the whole issue is tata sky hardware is so pathetic that it doesnt work beyond warranty period.we have been their customer for 10 years and they still provide such bad service and product.we have second connection which we were going to change with HD connection but now seeing one HD box performance we are going to stay with SD box.u people should try to better your products and service rather than fleecing and cheating customers .
tatasky website down at night
The tatasky website goes down during the night time on most of the days. Recharge/adding package is not possible during that time.
The website shows different kind of errors while trying to log in:
- This service is temporarily unavailable
- Number is not registered in the system
- Packages is temporarily unavailable
or The website is down
This is ridiculous. If at all they are doing maintenance activities during night time, it should not be done in the main consumer facing website. The IT team must be really incompetent in TataSky

I shifted my home from adyar to thoraipakkam.I requested to dispatch the Tata sky antenna and need to install it to our new home.The technician came and didn't dispatched the antenna but told the they done it .The next day I came take the antenna but it haven't dispatched and we called customer care but there is no proper response.They told us again they will send technician within 1hour.I we're waiting in the road for 2hours but they is no response or no technicians comes.
Tell me...now what I need to do ...can I sure to the company...is that Tata sky Workin for customers...very bad response.

On 22nd August, 2018 I had complained that I am not getting the Voices in the different channels and i was given No175TOZJY and was told the problem would be attended with 24 hours and I got a SMS on 23rd August, 2018 at8.50 AM wherein the it was told that the problem would be attended between 14.55 & 15.55 on 23rd August, 2018. But nobody turned up till 5.45 PM that 17.45 hours. Even I called the local person his Cell No. is [protected] at 17.45 hours and I was told that it would be attended within 15-30 minutes time, but did't turn up till 19 hours. So i called again the customer care at around 19.00 hours that 7.00 PM and I was told that superviser would call me. I got the call around 19.30 hours by one Mr.Manoj ( cell No.[protected]) wherein he spoke so rudely and threatened me that he would see how I get service from him and finally refused to attend the problem. I was so annoyed from his rudeness and hung up phone. I have got all the conversations recording with me ( even conversations had with your customer care and that manoj etc.) If this is the service that TATA Sky is offering to their subscribers/customers and I don't your DTH service at all, hence, please refund my money paid for 6 months subscription, otherwise I constrained to approach the proper forrum for redressal. I never expected such a kind of rude, arrogant, threatening and finally refusal attitude of your personnel at Shimoga (Mr.Manoj- I was told his so, I don't even know whether is name is true or not - but i have call recordings), who is working for TATA group of companies. If you need and give me a whatsapp number I shall post all the audio recording of our conversations with Mr.Manoj and your customer care people.
I am also thinking of writing a personal letter to the head of TATA GROUP. I am very much upset from rude, arrogant, threatening and refusal attitude of your personnel.

I am a Premier customer of Tata Sky since very long and I have two connctions and a SUPER LNB was fitted very recently in my connection and I paid the full amount.
I had gone out of station from 23rd.June, 2018 to 21st.August, 2018 and when I came back yesterday night I found no transmission in my both TVs.
I contacted your customer care and registered the complaint vide WO # 175HKAC1 for which one SRi BIPIN engineer came to attend and he found no LNB and no clamp also. Since clamp is not available as spare as he told, he replaced a new DISH and SUPER LNB.
On my enquiry in my Apartment where 70 flat owners are there, they told me that on 27th. or so in June, one engineer named Sri DIPAK SAHOO from Tata Sky franchise at Bhubaneswar came to attend complaint of Flat no.606. On his leaving it was found that 8/9 LNB's are missing and our Manager took it with Tata Sky and got all LNB's fixed without any charge and since I was not there my installation nobody has marked and it remained not attended.
Therefore I request you not to charge for my replacements as I am a Premier customer and please take necessary action against the Franchise and the said engineer.
If it is not possible at your end please let me know how to apprach your highest authority.

Hi I am Anil Ranjan I booked a Tata sky my id is-[protected].I have paid full amt but when technician came for installation they didn't provide wire and pipes(which fixed on roof), they used other person wire and pipes.now that person shift his house they want their wire and pipes.That time I was not present on my flat that technician chged RS.150/- with my watchman.I called so many times to Tata sky customer care but they denied to provide my others equipment even I paid full amount.I called so many times but didn't bothered.Worst services provided by Tata sky and cheat to their users.
connectivity failures
I am holding 4 connectivity for the past 6 years for my residence at Velachery Chennai. Due to technical issue connected with your dish, I am not getting signal for the past 4 days from 19th August. On lodging formal complaints with your Chennai Toll Number, an inexperienced Technician will visit; do an half baked job ad again the connectivity will go off for the same reason. Even after 4 days my problem persists. I am at dismay to know where I need to go and get my problem sorted out?

deactivation of connection before due date
I had recharged my tata sky connection with id no.[protected] for an amount of rs.390 as advance for 1 month subscription on 20.06.2018 and the company is liable to give me uninterrupted service till 19.07 2018. The connection was interrupted on 30.06.2018 and rectified by a tata sky technician on 01.07.2018, and told me that I have to pay rs.250 as service charge by online. I have received the smsdemand for the same on 02.07.2018, 20.03hrs. But the connection was deactivated by tata sky on 01.07.2018 midnight itself without any intimation. On calling, customer care executive told me that service charge rs.250 has deducted from my subscription advance and subsequently connection deactivated due to insufficient balance. This is illegal and against my customer tight.
1. Tata sky deducted service charge before intimate me the demand.
2. The amount I had remited for monthly subscription was converted as service charge without my consent and disconnect my service.
Hence I request you to restore my connection firstly asper my subscription charge. I am willing to pay the service charge as per demand dated 02.07.2018, but first you to restore myservice.

I have lodged complaint on helpline number of Tata Sky on 25.6.2018 WO No.#15WM1444 scheduled on 26.6.2018 between 14:00 to 15:00 complaint could not be resolved.
On 26.6.2018 I get Cancellation Code 122661 for WO No.#15WM1444.
On 27.6.2018 Installer visit scheduld between 14:00 to 15:00 ( No one visits/nor appointment fixed).
On 28.6.2018 visit rescheduld between 16:00 to 17:00 ( No one visits/nor appointment fixed).
On 29.6.2018 installer visit scheduled between 16:00 to 17:00 for WO No.# 15ZFOTD9 ( No one visits/nor any appointment fixed).
once again I called up Tata Sky helpline at 5:38pm but orally I was told that some one will visit tomorrow but this time I have not even got any message from tata sky services.
Since last five days am regularly following up my complaint but apart from empty assurances no one is taking any responsibility to resolve the issue.Therefore I compelled to write this email so that at your end at least my complaint will be resolved. Failing which I will be constrained to file written complaint before the appropriate competent authority.

I feel like there is no proper interaction between costumer care and technicians. My problem of sifting is not rectified since two days. Please don't force me to put it on news paper. Ads were popping up when ever I used to on my Tata sky tv that it's an Ramadan one time offer if u recharge for 786 u get total amount of 1000rs credited to ur account. I did the same on May 27th 2018 till date i didnt get any offer related amount in my Tata sky account . I even had a couple of time chat with Tata sky executive on Tata sky website they just used to promise that it will be updated within 48 hrs even after crossing 48 hrs nothing such happened again I contacted them they called me up and asked me to submit screen shots of recharged proof by email which I did still no help from their side. Feel so Cheated!...

When I had activated hd pack I was informed by Tata sky executive that for 1st 3 months I have to pay rs.99 for hd pack and after that I have to pay rs.175 for the same hd pack. But in the next (2nd month) month, Tata sky charged me rs.175 for hd pack. Even after calling customer care and dropping mails to Tata sky, my issue was not resolved. Moreover, they add packs without customer concerns and charged the customer for that. Paying to Tata sky feels that you are paying those people to cause inconvenience to you. They do anything at their will without proper information, display wrong packs on their website, give false information on customer care calls and don't take any responsibility for their faults . WORST SERVICE PROVIDER.
wrong commitments

I have purchased yesterday a Tata Sky Connection for Rs 2415 MRP at the rate of Rs 1900 from Mr Anurag Gupta - [protected], M/S Shivam Trading Co, Main Road, Jacobpura, Gurgaon. He and his employee committed that for the first month all channels (all music channels/all English channels) will be totally free with all services with HD, but after the today installation when I checked its recharge with only Rs 199 package. And now he is saying that only HD channels will be free. As per initial conversation as he committed that all channels will be free as per the package of Rs 550.
Now no any Englsih Channel, mostly music channels missed. Please suggest and guide what to do against this type of outlets. He is denying to further any proceeding.
