Kelly France
I was really at one of my weakest points I needed some help so I went to the Salvation army because I thought well these wonderful people will probably be able to help me, I was praying, and I went in there requesting help for my 3 school age children I asked if they had bookbags and or any school supplies I would be appreciative for them if they had anything I also was requesting basic health and essential household products, such as hand soap, dish soap, toilet paper toothbrushes and toothpaste and tampons or napkins for my twin 14 year old girls. I am a single mother on disability it is so hard to make ends meet. And Kelly France one of the employees at the Midland Michigan branch treated me like I was a poor joke, she made me feel terrible like the scum of the earth just for needing help. She raised her voice at me an called me a liar, And I am not a liar I got quite offended and felt like I was somewhere thinking I could get help, but instead I got treated terrible. She was so condescending and rude. I couldn't believe it I cried for 2 days because of that woman. And she told me she was going to call me back that afternoon so she could try to help me and I never heard anything else from her. She is a mean judgemental lady and I did nothing wrong my name is Stacie Stricker and I live in Midland Michigan and my phone number is 600-2542 can someone please contact me back I was not treated fairly at all
Desired outcome: To get some help and not get treated like a lying baglady
Associate
To whom it might concern, I'm a frequent visitor of the Salvation Army located at 2270 N. Clybourn Ave and have a very good report with all the associates at the store as they all seem to know me. Besides being a constant mail in donor. However today at approximately 6:15 PM I walked in with my mask being affixed to my face the very rude associate at the...
Read full review of The Salvation Army USAYour comments about white people
I just saw a red kettle at a store I frequent and as the Christmas holidays approach I usually donate, but since your recent comments about white people like myself I have decided not to drop even a penny into any red kettle anymore. You should be ashamed and think about all the deserving people who benefit from donations from us horrible "white" people. You screwed up and will be sorry for your idiotic comments for years to come!
Too littler too late
You still refuse to Categorically rescind your insulting policy of asking all whites to apologize and merely claim it is being subject to further review. Your non apology is not acceptable. I will pass by your kettles this Christmas season and no longer will drop a donation as I have done for the past 30 years. I will no longer donate furniture as I have done in the past.
Whoever came up with this policy should be immediately fired. You engaged in a form of racism by labeling an entire group of People as hateful bigots You have no moral right to call yourselves a Christian organization. You should hang your heads in shame and ask for forgiveness
Spot on
Crt
Hello- I will not put another penny in the red bucket due to the very racist statement that I should be ashamed for being white and should say I am sorry to every person I meet that does not look white. Pulling the social teaching guide for review is not enough, actually it is a joke and insulting . The SA should cleanse their own house on racism before you ask white people to apologize, and whoever let this trash be spewed should be fired asap. What happened to just helping people and staying out of the Woke issue. like they say --GO WOKE AND GO BROKE-- a truly sad day for Christians. SA get your head on straight and when I read that whoever let this happen is relieved of duty I may reconsider my donations-thank you and you all get back to what you do best--Helping the Needy--thank you (ps) I will be watching for updates on this issue.
Desired outcome: Remove from the SA the Woke person or people that let this happen
Woke racist nonsense
Done with Salvation Army. You used to be a great organization but have succumbed to the evil permeating society. Little Sisters of the Poor will now be our charity.
Woke Policies
I donate to lots of organizations and this WOKE position guarantees I will not be giving a dime to the Salvation Army. They might hope all the woke leftist will make up the difference but the left rarely puts their money where their mouth is.
Woke nonsense and FORCED JAB of poison to workers!! :(
Your admin workers in NE office are ready to quit because of your unlawful required in injection of RNA that is NOT safe, or effective, or prevents any flu at all! Your WOKE rules are ruining your business and I will be telling everyone to NEVER GIVE A DIME to you ever again.
I plan protests and online blogs to warn others about your treatment of employees.
You disgust me and show your true shame in throwing your employees and donors under the bus. This shows you don't follow JESUS or the Bible at all.
I Pray you go out of business after your ideology forced on others.
SHAME ON YOU! Omaha NE doesn't want your type of business anymore.
Desired outcome: Bankrupt
Pushing racism
Please be advised that I view the Salvation Army's new policy pushing Critical Race Theory within their ranks as racism. The very thought that a Christian organization would debase someone because of the color of their skin is not only unChristain but shows this organization is fine with pushing woke racist ideology. I will no longer donate to The Salvation Army from my 3 companies. Critical Race Theory is evil and teaches children and people of all colors to be racist.
Desired outcome: Remove your racist teaching
Critical race theory
Will no longer be donating money or property now that the SA has jumped on the evil divisive societal poison cRT bandwagon. Demanding every white person apologize for conduct they never engaged in is the epitome of engaging in racism itself. You stupidly insult an entire race which is hardly in line with what a Christian based organization should do.
Whoever came up with this stupid decision should be fired. What you did is no different than if you labeled every African American a criminal and asked everyone to apologize for the crimes committed by a few
When I pass one of your volunteers this season I will neither apologize nor drop one dime into the bucket
If anyone should apologize it is the Salvation Army You should be ashamed of yourselves
Article on news site
I read an article put out from your charity. I see now your charity has joined and made offensive remarks about white people being racist and demand all whites to give an apology. Each year I give lots of money to your goals, but this year I stop. Your suppose to be a Christian organization to help with less than fortunate people and each year I gave a lot. You now have become part of the problem and have joined in on a political move. How dare you blame white people, your suppose to be honest and Christian. Obviously your not! Shame on you for forgetting what the Salvation Army is about. Shame on you for blaming white people. I am a white woman and I am fed up with all this senseless propaganda. All men and women of all colors are my brothers and sisters. Maybe you need to look in the mirror and see with the statement your organization made against white people, that you are the racist in this scenario. This sickened me and I no longer will be donating to your charity, obviously you have forgotten what the Salvation Army was to be all about
I’ve read many comments made about racism , coming from the Salvation Army , towards all white people needing to be sorry . This truly is upsetting, and a huge let down , at that .
Ms. Debbie V 29, I agree with you one hundred percent, along with everyone else’s comments pertaining to this white apology issue.
Oh, and by the way , I’m not white.
No matter, any person not going along with the apology , attached to being white , will be considered , white , then considered wrong, which will be equivalent to being a racist . This is racist ! So , I guess I am white after all , and PROUD of it , because I DO NOT think that way, or believe that way. I believe in the Christian way. I believe in Jesus Christ our Saviour . I thought the Salvation Army upheld Christian principles .
The Salvation Army should of never entered the arena of stupidity, but, they have. It is unfortunate. And if it is not all of the Salvation Army , “your branches are in need of pruning”, until that is done, then it is the Salvation Army with fault.
However , when a good organization starts getting donations , maybe I better use the term sponsors, it sounds “easier”, coming from huge companies that have dirty dealings, then , this is what happens to good services , which once weren’t bad , but have certain “pay back” obligations to meet . The swaying powers of money , or “sponsors”, can out weigh morality if allowed. It is unfortunate this propaganda movement coming from some of our Government Officials , which is meant to divide, and not unite , has filtered into an organization who use to see PEOPLE IN NEED ONLY. The good news is, the Salvation Army can return back to what it once was, unless , going against the tide maybe be too costly. Then all that could be said then is, “ugh oh”. Along with, Thank You Lord God for when the Salvation Army up held a just meaning to it’s name. .
No Apologies
For decades I, a white man, have gladly given you clothing, furniture, and money. For you to demand I apologize for being white is vile and disgusting. You shall never get another contribution from me. There are plenty of other deserving organizations who are better than you. You're a hateful disgusting and un-American. Your salvation is lost. Now that you're woke you may go broke.
The Salvation Army advocating that I apologize for my "whiteness".
I have supported the Salvation Army for decades to the tune of thousands of dollars in donations annually.
If this article is true: https://thepostmillennial.com/salvation-army-goes-woke-demands-donors-apologize-for-their-whiteness?utm_campaign=64501
I will NEVER support your organization again.
Please confirm or deny that this is true, and that the Salvation Army advocates this policy.
I thank you for your timely and courteous reply.
Sincerely,
Douglas G. Pfeiffer, D.C.
Desired outcome: A written response
News article
My family has donated for generations to the salvation army every year .
But we will never support or donate to a company that tells my family " to reflect on our racism "... we've never been racist nor will we apologize for this attack on good decent Americans.
This woke attempt wont work with decent and caring people, so I sincerely hope you reflect on this attack on Americans and trying to divide us by color and race .
This is not Christian in anyway
Desired outcome: Respect everyone and stop pushing a woke agenda
you abusive male employees
I had a scheduled pick up for a bed today. I have it in writing and two confirmed voice mails and this Morning a Michael called and told me after leaving a message that the men would be here today between 9 and 11am that they were not coming.
I have had this written contract since early Oct instead of admitting his mistake and finding a resolution he proceeded to bully me and try to intimidate me. when that din't work he sent his boss David to gaslight me and try to intimidate me. When that didnt' work they sent me Gerald. I am waiting for a call back from Gerald.
I will not be bullied or intimidated by a Gang of your male employees and I suggest you take this very seriously. Your hold message says that you do not discriminate - I feel extremely discriminated against and this is not acceptable.
Please have some one who is not a bully and has rational and some of that Compassion that you claim in all your ads get back to me asap.
Sue
Desired outcome: my mattress picked up and the men punished -

I was shopping in Ithaca NY store and they had a 90% off of books sale so when it rang up I asked why wasnt it 90% she tried to explain and wasn't clear so I asked for the manager. She started crying and stated to her employees I cussed her when all I asked for was the manager. I went to tale a picture of the sign but they quickly removed it. The lady...

I am writing today to inform you of an incident at your 6822 3rd Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11220 store location.
I was attempting to drop off goods for donation at this location, as I have been doing for 15 years. Upon entering the store a nice polite gentleman at the register informed me that they would not be accepting any more donations today. I responded to the employee stating that if they could not accept donation that I would be forced to leave the box outside because I would not be able to take it back with me. He stated that he wanted to see the contents of the box. As I waited for this employee to complete his current customer transaction, a very angry man calling himself the store manager came storming from the rear of the store towards me in the front by the register and furiously stated that if I attempted to leave the box outside the store. He would follow me outside the store and force the box into my car. At that time, I placed the box to be donated on the floor infront of me. I responded to this managers hostile negative response by stating he should not be acting in such a manner. He responded by stating "Get the [censored] outta my store". I responded that "this isn't his store. And that he was not the owner of this location" as I was leaving the location. This manager still furious, over the cashiers head and around another customer threw the box to be donated at me while outside. The box hitting me on the shoulder. Immediately the cashier started to apologize for this managers actions. And attempted to de-escalate the situation. As the other customer there forced the manager back inside. The box fell to the floor after hitting me and 2 large glass cups shattered. I am physically hurt and may peruse legal actions. But the scary part was that an innocent bystander or a child walking past could have been seriously injured.
This location has become toxic under this managers direction. And he must be removed immediately.

Read full review of The Salvation Army USARed Shield Atlanta, Georgia
My experiences at the Red Shield began around 2013 as I decided to explore the option of moving from Memphis to Atlanta so that God could use me to help people with addictions. I would visit Atlanta for a week at a time, as often as possible, until we were able to move. Initially, Red Shield was the only place that I found that I could afford. I was thrilled to discover the Christ-centered meeting led by the members of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church and started a relationship with their members. After several visits to Atlanta, I found other places to lodge, but I would visit the Christ-centered meeting at Red Shield on each trip.
On August 1, 2020, my wife and I were finally able to move to Atlanta. After learning that Red Shield was loosening their restrictions from CO-VID 19, then I inquired whether they would be open to another Christ-centered meeting. Johnny Smith told me that he was looking for someone to lead a Nacrotic's Anonymous meeting. I said that I only support Christ-centered meetings. Mr. Smith said that I was welcome to attend their Men's ministry that met twice a month.
Michael Davidson led the men's ministry. After meeting Michael, I gave him a copy of my book Turning to God from Idols. Michael began to share the book with the residents. The residents liked it so much that they asked if they could have a class. Once I met the requirements as a volunteer, I started teaching once a week. I shared copies of Turning to God from Idols with some of the staff as well.
Michael Davidson died unexpectedly. When the man that replaced him invited me to his induction then I looked forward to meeting a staff member that I was looking forward to meeting. I was hoping to commend Pastor Dan Schmidt on his service and inquire about becoming a soldier. Because I wanted Pastor Dan to know that I was there to serve and to share some of the things that God has been teaching me, I gave him several of my books.
I asked Pastor Dan if we could meet sometime. He agreed to the next day. The next day, Pastor Dan told me that my book was missing some things and that I did not know any basic Christian doctrine. The next week, I was told that my class was canceled. When I tried to reach Pastor Dan, his wife informed me via email, "Dan said he already spoke with you. Your responses caused a lot of concern that you were teaching principles contrary to our recovery program and Bible studies. I am not sure what else needs to be discussed. We wish you well in your future endeavors, but your point of view and ours do not match. We are not wanting to have contrary ideas put out in our program. Thank you for your willingness to serve. God bless."
The response from Jeanne Schmidt was sent on August 3rd. In mid-September, I sent a letter to Mrs. Schmidt since she is the director. You will find a copy on the next page. The next time that I went to the men's ministry, I was told by an escort that the director has banned me from the facility.
I am addressing this letter to you (in particular.) James 3:17 says, "wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. I pray that you are open to reason and impartial in hearing my view on your decision to deprive your residents of the teaching on addictions that God has given me.
The publishers of The War Cry of January 2019 agree with my findings on addiction. You can find the link to the article at
https://www.qgdigitalpublishing.com/publication/?m=58350&i=550708&p=11&ver=html5
Have you read any of my writing? Can you tell me that there is anything unscriptural? Every book that I publish is also backed with at least two pages of bibliography from other Christian writers. Just take a look at my Facebook page Quality Christian Resources on Addictions to get a feel for my research. I gave Pastor Dan a copy of some of my books and the next day he said that they were erroneous and that I don't know basic doctrine. I have been well indoctrinated by my parents, family, many pastors, books, radio, and most importantly by the Lord Himself. I have many letters of recommendation if you would like to see them
You said that Pastor Dan told you that my teaching is contrary to your bible studies. There is nothing false in my teaching. The other accusation is that I teach contrary to your recovery program. I am guilty of that! I pray that you would reverently consider what I have to say on this. Recovery is unbiblical. Jesus transforms (He is not interested in recovery.) Being conformed into the image of Christ is what I teach (as it is our sanctification.) That means that God desires to make people into something that they were not. I know that it is not what has been taught since the popularity of AA, but it is scriptural.
I'm only sharing this because I am genuinely interested in your residents. I believe that the purposes that God has for me largely involve the Salvation Army. I asked to meet with Pastor Dan that morning to ask about soldiership. Instead, he attacked me and insulted every pastor that I ever had as well as my dear departed dad who taught me well. I have too much reverence for God not to question whether He is being dishonored in this situation.
His glory is my pleasure,
Respectfully yours,
Gregory Madison
