I served in the military for 22 years, and was abroad the complete tour
I served in the military for 22 years, and was abroad the complete tour. I moved back to ***, bought my 1st house stateside. Having no idea that you aren't to actually use your home owners insurance, I filed 2 claims with a previous insurance company. After being dropped, I opened a policy with tower Hill. I have not filed any claims, nor did I have the intention uses the house burnt to the ground. Today, I open a letter from tower hill and it was a cancelation. Reason for cancelation was 1: tree branch touching house 2: roof worn Did tower hill contact me before this, to give me time to correct their concerns? NO! Now, anywhere I call I am black balled. What a great country we live in.

Dealing w these folks has been a MASSIVE HEADACHE!
Dealing w these folks has been a MASSIVE HEADACHE! I submitted a reroof claim and it has been a fight tooth and nail for several months . Now that I get my roof replaced I have to wai for Hillsborough Inspectors to get out here and give the final approval. Needless to say it has been several weeks. In the meantime THIG sends me an email saying my Claim has been closed!? What? I still need reimbursed for the roof and water damage to the inside of the house! COVID HAS DELAYED EVERYTHING.. All the problems I have w these people and NO ONE from the management level has even bothered to reach out! Never ever had such poor service and experience w any company I have dealt with.. They simply don't flipping care! Amazing the state of FL allows this to take place...
This is a fraudulent company that will rob you of your monthly payment. I have been in contact with them for 10 days and they are still playing games. They don't answer calls. Hang up on you if they do. Pretend they got disconnected. This company should definately be investigated.
Within the past year I filed a claim with Tower Hill which required a lot of coordinated effort to return my home whole. Tower Hill did a great making that happen. I recently renewed my policy with Tower Hill for another year.
If you lose money I pay. Group plan $6800 for the year with Hurricane window and doors and wind migration. From $5000 no claims in 11 years
The process to acquire homeowners insurance is usually complicated, but with Tower Hill made everything easy and pleasant. I would definitely recommend them.
I have been a loyal customer of Hill Insurance for many years
I have been a loyal customer of Hill Insurance for many years. I had no claims after any of the hurricanes since moving here. My home, built with hurricane mitigation measures and a new metal roof added in summer 2021, remained unscathed. The only explanation given for policy changes was a reduction of hurricane exposure. I had switched to Hill Insurance from a major carrier after the larger carriers were dropping policies following the active hurricane seasons in the early 2000s. Hill Insurance had marketed themselves as a reliable company committed to protecting homeowners and claimed they wouldn't engage in such cancellations. There was no prior warning that they would consider such actions. It seems they are just as inclined to prioritize profit over customer care as the major out-of-state providers. Consumers should be cautious when dealing with this company.

I am new to this company having only joined last week but so far so good. I've never put a claim in with any home owners insurance company as long as I've owned homes over 30 years so I can't compare. The price is certainly better than my previous one.
Im new to Tower Hill..so far so good. Have high expectations for the company.
Covered roof damage fully.Fast service and excellent response.Would highly recommend Tower Hill!
Tower Hill Insurance, isn't there for the people they serve
Tower Hill Insurance, isn't there for the people they serve. What go is insurance if we can't file claims, but you punish people for filling claims. My canceling their policy. I got a home inspection, which Tower Hill never reviewed. Plus the lady that did the interview on the claim, said it would effect my policy because it didn't fall under my policy on a recorded line. If I could give zero stars I would, but that isn't possible. Then they won't talk to me about my policy. I am the policy holder, you have to talk to me. This company is all about the money and not the people it serves, they will deny every claim while they are in business. Insurance is there for the customer to use, that is why we as customers pay all the money for coverage. Then cancel the policy for using our coverage. That is wrong, because you as a company didn't look at the inspection.

Very happy to be a new customer of *** Hill. The enrollment process was quick and easy.
I was quoted a fairly reasonable rate. Then they asked for my social security number and quote increased $200. No one could give me a reason why. My credit score is an 820. I have never filed a claim against my homeowners in the past. What a scam!
Tower Hill increased my homeowners premium 100% year over year. After the previous years 20% increase, I was later mailed a letter after inquiring that it was because of credit reasons. I have perfect credit but keep my credit locked. Disappointing after being a customer for 10 years
Horrible business. I have been a loyal customer, never complained, always paid my policy on time, never a second late. We get hit with Hurricane ***, file a claim. Tower Hill cancelled the claim and referred to someone else without even calling me. I had to call someone who works there who didn't know my claim was cancelled. Still haven't heard from this joke of a company.
Tower hill incorrectly cancelled my home owner's insurance (that's what they told me), then send me a refund check, which I deposited
Tower hill incorrectly cancelled my home owner's insurance (that's what they told me), then send me a refund check, which I deposited. Three months later they sent me a collections letter for $242. No warning, no other letters, no "past due payment" notices, just straight to collections, which of course hit my credit.Mind you, TH is being paid by my mortgage company (***), which sends them money (that's they job), and TH takes the money (that's they job). But for some reason TH decides to cancel the policy (clerical error?) and refund money they've been paid.THEN my mortgage company charges me for $350 because my house isn't insured.Did I cancel the policy? nope. Did TH receive all the money they needed? Yes. So can someone explain to me why they sent me to collections? And they can't undo it. Even after I've pad whatever balance they think I owe.

Hurricane Ian held me hostage for 9 hours with constant winds from 105 to 145 mph and 20 inches of rain
Hurricane Ian held me hostage for 9 hours with constant winds from 105 to 145 mph and 20 inches of rain. Tower Hill has held me hostage ever since. I received a partial payment on 11/10 (Ian was 9/28) and not one person can tell me what this payment covers. Documents and estimates for repairs were uploaded to my customer portal, as directed, additional documents uploaded in November. Now, I am unable to access the portal for my current claim (current policy expires 04/2023) until I agree to the terms of the renewal policy terms, including a power of attorney for Tower Hill. Effectively, I can't upload documents, see any progression or notes for my claim until I agree to their terms for a policy not even due until next April! Customer service says "accept the terms, then just cancel later", that is lunacy. Every letter I receive from them, every hold message when calling states I should check my portal. I would if I could. Doesn't give me a lot of faith in Tower Hill. Getting paid for damages is a whole other animal. At 67, I'm still using a rubber mallet to get out of my front door.

While applying for would a mortgage, I was told an estimated monthly cost would include interest, principle, insurance, and taxes
While applying for would a mortgage, I was told an estimated monthly cost would include interest, principle, insurance, and taxes. Nobody told me that I had to secure my own insurance, and consequently, I was at the deadline for closing, when they asked "who my insurer was"? So I called a friend ***, from *** who informed me that because the Tropical Storm had had been upgraded to Hurricane ***, nobody was writing new policies. Now, I was in panic mode (They 1st talked me off the ledge, and calmed me down), then they told me to rest assured that they had great connections, and would try to secure a policy for me with one of the best companies in the ***. That was when I was fortunate enough to meet the people from Tower Hill Insurance. I had to fill out a flurry of paperwork, yet they hand-held me through the entire process, explaining each step in the process, and we got the policy executed that very same day! I don't recommend waiting till the eleventh hour to hire their services, but I highly recommend them at any time as a professional, compassionate, and hard working group of agents that go above and beyond to get the you most affordable and timely policy. Two Thumbs Waaay Up!
I've been happy with Tower Hill Insurance
I've been happy with Tower Hill Insurance... up to now.. Their recent switch-over to a larger Tower Hill Corporate Group appeared to be "no big deal"... until I got my recent bill from Tower Hill.. My house insurance actually "jumped" by nearly 80%.. the reason given was that due to increased risks from hurricanes, severe weather changes, etc.. etc..so.. they had to "increase" the premiums.. but to "increase" by nearly double?! that was never truly expressed and I only received word of "how high" it would be when I received by latest bill.. BUT..You can believe I'll just go ahead and pay it.. what else can I do? move to another insurance? nope.. not going to happen.. and why? tower hill said my wife and I called on tower hill for some repairs of some molding issues.. well.. we found out.. we could just deal with it ourselves.. and we did.. it was very minor.. and what did tower hill do? they "looked at the problem" (and they agreed with us.. it wasn't a big deal) and they didn't spend a dime.. BUT.. guess what any "new" insurance company would look at? our initial "call in".. tower hill expresses it as though they had to do something.. they didn't.. and they still don't have to do a thing.. but it sure looks like they did.. any "new insurance" company.. will truly focus on that..

First and foremost I feel that I was never taking seriously
First and foremost I feel that I was never taking seriously. Ive never been treated with such manner before. Ive called and made complaints time after time about lack of sympathy that I have been receiving from my supervisor and adjusters. Why do I have to constantly take the time out of my work *** to basically do their job of making contact. No one calls to see how Im doin in regards of my living conditions at this point. I explained to my adjuster and supervisor that I have a pregnant wife that I have to take care of while in her first trimester which is the hardest; I cant keep telling her that it will be ok when I know that its no one Ive talked to seems to understand me and its very frustrating. I ask my adjuster Mrs. to call me every*** if not every other *** just to keep me in the loop of every things. I stated to her several times that I felt as if it was been handled unprofessional and she never called. I was told from another lady named *** that she wouldnt know when my claim would be resolved because she had others claims to take care of so she was not sure when she could get to my claim. I have done everything they ask me. I was asked to provide proof the home was mine and I did so. Supervisor *** told me last week my claim would been finalized last week on Feb 21 which was president *** that he would have everything finalized and if they didnt he would make sure they gave me some type of funds to help me. I still havent gotten any help. I been paying out my pockets to stay in hotels and with family members. Valentines Day passed and they wouldnt even provide me with a hotel for me and my wife. No one wouldnt even answer the phone. I never missed one single payment I dont understand why I am getting treated this way. My home caught a fire while I was at work. *** said it was electrical . I am suffering and need any help. I have no place to go. Can someone of town *** staff help me. My name is

Filed a claim with Tower Hill Insurance on August 1 for a mold issue in my home. They sent an adjuster out promptly who sent in his findings. I have provided Tower Hill with 3 estimates and have hired a remediation company because I cannot live in my home due to mold contamination. I have followed up with the claims department via phone and email and was told by the adjuster that I would have answer on Weds. 8/18 by 10am. It is now Friday 8/20 at 12:30 and despite calls and emails to my adjuster I have had no response.
Have been customer of company for 20+ years...now received notice of nonrenewal. Called company for explanation was told "for reduction of hurricane exposure". When asked to explain what that meant I was told "just what it says". I feel I am being singled out for some reason or another.
On 12/23, our roofing co. tore off our old roof in advance of installing a new tile roof. During the tear off, our roofer advised us that we may have an insurance claim for our roof as the old tiles were not even adhering to the roof possibly because of wind. Taking the roofer's advice, we filed a homeowner's insurance claim on 12/23 and Tower HIll had their adjuster come out that day to look at the roof. On 12/24, Tower Hill wrote of letter confirming that they were opening a claim and included the claim number. Two business days later, on 12/28, Tower Hill generated a letter stating that they would not renew our homeowner's policy. The reason was "Reduction of Hurricane Exposure." We did not see their 12/28 letter of nonrenewal until January 5th, 2022 as we were away from 12/28 to 1/5/22. Before we ever started the reroof, we fully expected to pay for the new roof and not involve our insurance company. It was upon bad advice from our roofer that we even filed a claim with Tower Hill. When we arrived home on January 5, 2022, we withdrew the claim and no payment was ever made by Tower HIll. We have a letter dated 1/6/22 from Tower HIll confirming that the claim was closed and no loss payment was made. Our complaint with Tower Hill is that the date of the claim was 12/24 and that it only took them 2 business days, on 12/28 to determine that they would not renew our homeowner's policy due to "Reduction of Hurricane Exposure." This determination was underhanded and suspicious and was not made with all the facts involved. Tower Hill especially targeted our home as one they did not want to insure because they were afraid they might have to pay out something for our roof. They did not, as they state, just randomly chose homes they no longer want to insure. It just took them just 2 business days to deny renewal after the claim was filed on 12/23.

I contacted this company to obtain new home owners insurance. They sent me a cancelation email without any follow up. I had no idea that I was not covered for my home insurance. They will now not answer my calls or emails. This is very unprofessional and discouraging. I am now having to pay even more for coverage with another company.

I received a non renewal letter from Tower Hill requesting proof of repairs from a hurricane claim - which I did submit and then then proof of a total replumb of my home. The request for a total replumb of my home is outrageous and totally not needed. I have not and do not have a single issue with the plumbing of my home. Many years ago (7yrs I believe) I had a toilette leak which I took care of and replaced the toilette. Tower Hill refuses to renew my insurance because I wont replumb my home. GREAT I wont renew with you BUT we are now unable to get insurance from anyone else because Tower Hill wont take " Total replumb through the slab" off my nonrenewal letter. They have NEVER paid a penny for any plumbing issues. If they didnt want to renew our insurance they should have just dropped us. NOT sent out a outrageous none needed repair that isnt even the recommendation of plumbing. They have caused us to basically be blacked listed from getting home insurance because of their request.
I am appalled at the lack of follow up and accountability at this company
I am appalled at the lack of follow up and accountability at this company. I filed a claim on 9/16 and 37 weeks, many calls and emails later, i have no communication regarding the status of my claim. The claims representative assures you on her voice mail that she will respond within 8 hours and if not, gives you contact info for her supervisor. That is a joke because Nobody returns calls. I have documented this entire journey and kept record of all emails sent and phone calls made. Most comical was my last call to my claims rep where she said her system was down and she would call me "as soon as its back up". Guess its been down for 10 days ?
We experienced a pipe burst in our kitchen on 4/23 and promptly contacted Tower Hill Insurance to file a claim. A loss adjuster was assigned to our case on 4/26, and on the same day, she arranged for a field inspector to assess the damage. The inspector, Scott, completed his report and sent it to the adjuster on 4/29.
Since the assignment of the loss adjuster, we have had no further communication from her despite leaving numerous messages and my husband sending an email. There have been no return calls. To protect our home and prevent additional damage, we took the initiative to remove the cabinets affected by the water and had a plumber immediately locate and repair the burst pipe.
We urgently need a return call and a follow-up from Tower Hill, as our kitchen has been without running water since the incident occurred on 4/23. It has been almost a month without any communication. Just yesterday, I reached out to Tower Hill again and was assured by customer service that the loss adjuster would contact us by the end of the day, which did not happen.

Claim ***
Claim ***. The cause of the claim is winter storm hit texas (02/15), no power for 2 weeks, water pipe busted and flooded the whole house. At first, they agreed to pay for the damage and sent the demo company to dry out the house. After two weeks, the whole house was destroyed, kitchen and bathrooms were completed demoed. I received the denied letter with the reason I did not maintain heat before the loss. The estimated damage of at least $60,000 for repairing and income at over $10,000 were not covered. They never ever sent me a report nor the contract with the demo company. All I got was a rejection email. Any help in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

After getting my roof inspected I was told I have hail damage. I filed a claim with Tower Hill on March 17. I received a call from the desk adjuster 2 days later and was sent a notice in the mail. The desk adjuster set up a time for the field adjuster to come out which was March 24. I then received notice that the desk adjuster received the report on April 2. I called on April 3and was advised by the customer service department that the report is not in. Well I called April 10 and left a message for the adjuster to call me back. No call back. I sent emails requesting status and numerous call to Tower Hill. Then on April 24 I called the customer service department number again and was advised if no one calls me back in 2 business days to ask to speak with a supervisor. I called back and did just that. I spoke with a team lead who said she would have to look up the repair and call me back. She never did.on April 29th I got on social media and was called with 25 minutes. The team lead said she wanted to send out an engineering firm because the previous field adjuster could not determine what caused the damage to my roof? Really. So I was told by the team lead that she would have the engineer call her from my house and get verbal confirmation of damage. I was told if there is any hail damage they would not delay the claim any longer and would pay. The engineer came out on Monday April 11. I called Tower Hill Tuesday and the desk adjuster said the team lead is out but he will call the engineering firm and get back with me. Well no call back! Called today the team lead and desk adjuster no call back. Tower Hill is stalling to pay a claim. They should not be treating military families like this or civilian families!

My claim number for damages done to my house, insured by Tower Hill insurance company, is pending. On June 6, a storm in West Florida destroyed my pool cage and damaged my property. After waiting 23 days to hear back from them, all I received was a rejection email. They claimed that even though I was covered by hurricane insurance, they had a disclaimer on wind storms. The estimated damages of around $25,000 were not covered, nor was the loss of rental income, which amounted to over $13,000. They never even sent me a report. Receiving just a rejection email is not the proper way to treat a loyal customer. Any help in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

We got mold under the sink which was caused by water damage
We got mold under the sink which was caused by water damage. I called the company and I was tod that It will be cheaper for me to have some one to look at it first and then call back with the report. I did that which took me a while to get some one genuine. After a long time of trying to get all they needed they sent out their appraiser who did exactly the same as the one we had gotten. I didnt hear from them after several phone calls they sent a reject letter. We have been with this company for 14 years never claimed anything and have paid ontime for 14 years. This last month they sent us a letter stating they are dropping us for renewal in september stating that we are not trust worthy customers accusing us of not keeping up with our home.
Canceled our flood insurance with a previous provider
Canceled our flood insurance with a previous provider. At that time we were told to do nothing, do not pay the bill, and the insurance would be canceled. Now, Tower Hill insists on billing us for $117.61. We found it literally impossible to speak to our agent, during the time we had the policy in question. We started with one insurance company, which morphed into Guided Insurance Solutions, and finally Tower Hill Insurance. Through the roll ups and name changes, we found the customer service to be abysmal. Tower Hill couldn't bother themselves to make a phone call before turning the mistaken bill over to collection, further illustrating the company's arrogance and malfeasance. We have paid all our bills on time for the last 40 years, and is a matter of public record. This is not our debt.

I filed a water claim with Tower Hill Insurance that was denied
I filed a water claim with Tower Hill Insurance that was denied. I proceeded to make repairs totaling $11,000. Tower Hill Insurance requested proof of repairs with photographs. I have submitted all documentation and now Tower Hill Insurance is challenging the repairs and disagreeing with my contractors. They have issued a Non-Renewal stating that I have not made any repairs and that has black listed me in the insurance industry from obtaining coverage with a new provider. I have read through other similar complaints with the Complaintsboard.com relating to disagreements of repairs and how Tower Hill Insurance will black list you in the insurance industry. My desired resolution is for Tower Hill Insurance to either rescind the Non-Renewal or to issue the Non-Renewal as a Reduction of Hurricane Exposure. Then I will be able to move forward and obtain coverage with another provider.

Tower Hill issued a Home Owners policy with Animal Coverage listed in the declarations
Tower Hill issued a Home Owners policy with Animal Coverage listed in the declarations. Then they hid an exclusion for the same item on page 8 after Omega insurance transferred all their Florida Homeowner's Policies to Tower Hill. After a questionable dog bite accusation, the accuser "disappears". Subrogation from this person's WC provider is suspended after 30 days pass. Tower Hill, has not sent us confirmation that this claim closed without payment. Tower Hill has now sent a Cancellation Notice due to a "biting dog". But since their position on the now closed dog biting case is that we do not have coverage, How can that affect the policy? Tower Hill tries to walk with one leg on each side of the fence and is not there for you if you do have an issue. Their practices are duplicitous and unjustifiable. You can't insure and then un-insure a client in the same set of documents. Furthermore, how do you cancel someone for a non-claim (closed, unpaid) over an incident you claim you don't cover?

I recently had to change my type of homeowners insurance with Tower Hill (have been a customer for many years). My son-in-law helped and reviewed the policy with an agent from Tower Hill who was courteous, helpful and responsive. *** was very helpful too with me in processing the final policy on line.
This company are a bunch of crooks. They ignore actual estimates and make up numbers that are a fraction of the costs that are required to do repairs. They also ignore many of the items damaged and leave them out of the estimate. They use out of market adjusters that have no concept of the costs in the *** market. The adjusters estimates are a scam and they send you a check for a small fraction as to what the actual damages are. They do this even after they have signed contracts in hand for the repairs to be done.
Quick to get me covered at far better price than previous carrier.
