misrepresentation on defective product
Toyota SA & Imperial Toyota Strydom Park agreed to settle the vehicle and pay toward a vehicle of my choice, new or used. As I purchase other vehicle, they reneged on their offer, changing the terms to the purchase of a brand new vehicle through them only - making money off me again, after costing me over R200, 000 at the time. Misrepresenting themselves for the second time!
After 11 jobs over 4 years and a catastrophic failure to the gearbox and clutch, my husband and I investigated the history of the vehicle (which was at 60, 000km at time of purchase). It is unfortunate that we had to become Private Investigators to get to the bottom of this and that Toyota are so nonchalant in the manner in which they have disregarded me. I would like to point out that at least one of the Bulletins around this MMT defect is still valid, making it a current issue.
A worldwide recall was conducted on the Toyota Corolla Verso MMT due to a manufacture defect. Imperial Toyota Strydompark performed a warranty claim "repair" against this bulletin 3 months before selling the vehicle to me and did not disclose the manufacture defect. 11 Jobs couldn't fix the car, but I must just deal with it?
The Verson MMT were recalled in the US and replaced with a manual version, due to Toyota being unable to repair the problem - why has this not happened in South Africa and why have I had to foot the bill for their "dud" vehicle?
customer service
The individuals working at the service deapartment are non helpful. I recently had service done to my car and the rep "James" was acting as if he was doing me a favor for having my vehicle serviced there. The place appearance is not well and the attitude of the individuals behind the counter is terrible. I came in to pick up my vehicle which I dropped off 3 1/2 hrs earlier. The individual at the "cashier" booth told me it was not ready. This place SUCKS. The paper mat was still in the car when I picked it up. The worst experience and I would never go back to this Service location or ever buy a car at this dealership.

no customer service skills! When you call you are on hold for 5-8 minutes! I'm always waiting for a call back and yes, we are doing them a favor by spending our hard earned money there. The sales people are pushy and the finance department was shady! I would NEVER refer anyone here for anything!
can't get my refund because sfg is out of business
Same as everyone else...can't get my refund because SFG is out of business. What about the dealerships? In my case it was Toyota. I was led to believe I was buying a Toyota Warranty backed by Toyota (not some unknown company I've never heard of). We should not let the Dealers just wash their hands of the whole mess. They were in business with SFG not us.
bunch of thieves!!!
I saw there advertisement on TV and I thought well I will try it. As soon as I walked in I felt like a total loser. These sales reps are the most unprofessional, the most uneducated sales people I have ever met. A bunch of kids that work there. The sales rep Amy Fehr was good to your face, but when reality all she wants is a paycheck. Once you drive off that lot they don't want to have anything to do with you. Watch out for Victor the General manager he won't even talk to you or look at you if you don't have money. When they told me the price of the car it was already $3000 over its book value which I accepted, however when it comes time for the contract they shove it up your ### with a 21% interest rate which they are making another $5000 on top of it. I was asking for another key to my car which is a chip key that cost at the most $60-$70. I fought so hard to get a simple key and they still turned me down. I called Amy my sales rep let her two messages and she stated that she did not get my messages (### I wasn't born yesterday) and the owner and manager will not pay for another key. People today may have bad credit, but don't shove it in our ### and take advantage of it just because people are in dying need of a car. Beware this dealer is a total total ripoff, unprofessional and the most stupid people I know. I may even file a complaint with the BBB and place this add on www.[redacted]s.com.

miss leading information, very rude
I went to purchase a vehicle at Lexus West Kendall. We negotiate the vehicle price and trade in price. While in the financing depart. I was asking to sign two contracts. I went ahead and sign the actual contract which was all filled out. I was asking to sign another blank contract. I question it? They claim that it was in case they could get me a better...

Dear sir,
I'm Sherif Hassan from Egypt
Kindly note that I bought a new corolla 2012; 13 days ago on the 6the of December 2011 from Toyota Egypt-Abassia premises, but I noticed that the car deviates towards the left so I reached Toyota Egypt-Alkattamya service center yesterday to adjust the deviation but they couldn’t fix it despite the long stay (from 9 am till 3 pm), while the car is on the tool I noticed that not all the readings gives green as it should be so I asked the engineer to let me see the car so he approved then I noticed that they are adjusting the car on a different models (not 1ZR FE) so I asked him about this difference in which he tried to convince me that all the cars are the same, but I didn’t convinced with this so he asked the service center’s manager to handle the case with me and he told me that he referred to the technical team in which they informed him that they will provide the center with the correct CD which have the correct software for this model and I should wait about one week to install the software if applicable, so I wrote a complaint with the incident but I surprised today with the reply in which all what I have is to wait till they arrange the software and it will not happen to replace the car and the only solution is to try to fix the problem during the coming three years and this is the company warranty policy which doesn’t permit to replace the car under any condition taking into consideration that the car mileage was 726 KM only when I reached the center.
So I ask the company to replace the car for me and take the necessary action regarding fixing the car and even they can send it to Japan again in case the problem still persist as it’s not logic to buy a new Toyota car and spend all my time in the service centers waiting the possibility of adjusting the deviation.
NB. The deviation still persist

Sherif Hassan

delay
Would like to complaint about my Toyota Hilux Late delivery . I suppose to received my Car this month( DEC) . But was told by the sale personal it was delay and i be only received it this coming February . I already waited for 4 month plus another 2 month . I sold of my old car as promise to the person who wanted to buy my car . Now i don't have transportation . please do something Toyota Malaysia . please take responsibility on the delay .
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Same here in Australia, I will have waited 6 months by the time I get mine, if I get it when they say. Would buy another brand but stuck in the contract. Little clause which says "I haven't dicussed delivery with my salesman" very smart but not helping their reputation, neither is the laughable delays.
The "floods" thing is growing old, the floods didn't last 6 months
bad dealership
I purchased a used Toyota 2005 Prius from Earnhardt Toyota at Mesa, Arizona. They charged me $699 for security system, they say they already install in all of their vehicle. Two weeks later I try to look for the security system in the car, it is no where to be found, took it back to Earnhardt Toyota, they said they will install it for me now, but I refuse to put it in.
I want my money back. They said they can’t give me money back, because it is already in my contract (monthly payment.) That’s bull. So they charged me on that for nothing. I don’t know how many customers got charged for the same reason, but that’s rip off, fraud, and sales people at Earnhardt Toyota were rude.
I will say that they are two face money suckers, they will be nice when you are going to buy something, but after you made the purchased they don’t care for you at all!
Earnhardt Toyota is a bad dealership. I will tell my friends not to buy another vehicle from Earnhardt Toyota again. That aren’t no bulls. Right…
I asked to speak with the store manager or supervisor, my sale man Troy Maxwell states that he is the one in charge of the whole Earnhardt Toyota dealership. When I asked for his business card, his title is a customer adviser…..
poor customer service
I purchased a 2010 sienna from Bill Wright Toyota about 9 months ago, have had lots of problems. It had no car mats, the paint was peeling, two tires had nails, two hubcaps came off. Even with my extended warranty I recently had to pay $50.00 for towing. October 1 the van would not start, was told by Bill Wright to tow it to dealership.
After they checked it over they wanted to charge me $154.00 for a new battery. How can a battery go bad after only a few months? I was treated badly by the staff and by Kevin Juergens the sales manager, after I complained it was not fair. I was even yelled at by Kevin Juergens. Kevin refuses to talk to me, would not return my calls.
Roadside assistance and their extended warranty are useless if they don’t cover these kind of problems.
scam
My fiance’ (Yonas Muluneh) and I, bought a car from Tracy Toyota on november 5, 2011. When we bought the car Frank Niknam ( general manager) and Omid Hatif ( General Sales Manager) told us the car been inspected, pass smog and safety.
The saddest part is my fiance’ works at the same dealer ship.
Two days later on november 7, 2011 he went their to pick up some stuff that we forgot from the car that we traded in. So the customer relation manager told him (her name is Victoria vierra), the car that we bought never been inspected, smog nor none of the safety features done on the car! So my fiance’ talked to the general manager and he told him again its been done! they went to service departement to see the record whether its been done or not, but there was no record found that says they done anything on the car we bought .
So on november 7, 2011 they did the inspection! If my fiance’ didn’t find out about it, they put my family and i in danger and we will never find out! so my fience’ ask Frank (the General manager) why they did that to him and his family, the human resource called him and told him they are going to suspend him with out telling him why, the reason he’s going to be suspended. so he has to quit because it is going to be bad for him to look for another job.
Wish I could give this dealer a rating of zero stars. STAY AWAY! I ordered a new car from this dealer in early May. I was told it would be 6-8 weeks. After 8 weeks of not hearing anything I contacted them and they stalled around a few days before telling me it was to be built on August 1. By mid-August I asked for an update via phone and email and never received a return call. Ended up complaining to the Bay Area sales manager who promised to find out what happened and never heard from him either. Tracy Toyota is not to be trusted and the Bay Area sales manager is harming Toyota's good reputation. GO ELSEWHERE TO BUY YOUR CAR!
engine burning oil
I bought a Toyota Camry in 2007. After driven 60000km, my engine oil light starts flash after change engine oil and just drive 5000Km during I use brake. I went to Toyota to ask a test, it is said the normal engine oil consumption is 0.4 to 0.5L/1000Km. If so, Toyota recommends 6000Km for each engine oil change. If so, after driving 6000Km, the engine oil consumption is 3Litre. But each time, the dealer just put 4 Litre oil in. That means there is just 1 Litre in engine after driving 6000Km. Does anybody have standard engine oil consumption? As I searched, even in some undeveloped countries, it is just 0.3Litre/1000Km.
That means Toyota is over too much than this standard. Does Toyota is a trusted car maker in Canada? If is, why could it not get an undeveloped country’s standard. Or is Canada’s standard is lower than an undeveloped country? I do not believe it.
We have owned 2 toyotas in past and after many years we decided to go with Toyota again. We own 2011 Toyota camry. Recently I went over a pothole and it da abet tire, rim and wheel. I didn’t think the bump was that big. And on a car which is only 3-4 months old repair cost over$900. Nothing was covered inspitevof purchasing extended warranty. I am close to 60 hrs. Pld and in all my life of different cars, this was the most expensive we felt. I have no complains yet for the car but about how expensive your repairs and maintainance is.
Will I recommend Toyota to any one, maybe to only rich people. Not average as maintaining Toyota is most expensive. May be someone will read this or delete this, or reply. Anyway I feel it should be told.

We have had Toyota's for years and have been getting service at Toyota Carlsbad for a few years. We always have good service from them and if something needs repair they explain it very well and explain how serious it is. Molly has been our best service tech.
Last month we bought a new car after shopping around for a couple months and test driving many cars of various brands. We went back to a Toyota car; smaller than our normal SUV size. We chose the Prius with great MPG. and we fit into it fine with great comfort.
The only thing we felt bad about was how hard it was to shop through the variety of new cars. When we finally did choose the Prius 5 model we thought it had the parking assist on it. We do have LKA along with other fine features; just wish we had parking assist. Well; it will be with us for 5 years; It is a great car and we are glad to have stayed with Toyota after shopping around. We are very happy with the service department. Suec
extremely poor service in service department
3 times been there, and 3 times the service gets worse. Got a free detailing because of the last issues and that was worse than a 3. car wash. Now suppose to give me a loaner but have to use my credit card for it. Didn't fill my fluids and forgot to reinforce the plate that covers the oil filter. left the cap off the battery cable and the car smelled like dirty water for 2 weeks after my special detailing. can't wait for my free oil change to be over with because I'll never go back to Sansone Toyota again.
breech of contract
Melissa Nordeen (and Nathan Blocki),
I can go on and on for hours on how your "complaint" is a bunch of bs, so I will attempt to keep this short...
It all started when you asked me to hack your former employer because you were unhappy with your salary. I had told you when you asked me to deface their site it was going to point all fingers at you, but you insisted, so I did it. Little did I know you had called them minutes after telling them about the defacement (at 3am), making it even more clear you had something to do with it.
Of course, me being the smartass that I am, I had put the SAPOL e-crimes website, phone number and street address on the defaced site. You got fired. You got raided by the SAPOL e-crimes.
The day you got raided, they had taken your computers and other things, but they left your numbnut husband's computers alone. You got online and messaged me about it. I got you to give me the contact information of the officer you spoke with. I called him right then. I then bugged the hell out of them and your former employee until they dropped the charges on you, I even offered myself up so you wouldn't goto jail. Had I not done this and had I not talked your former boss, the CEO of the company you worked for, and helped get her to drop the charges you would be in prison and so would your [censored] husband.
Shortly after this you felt like attempting to do chargebacks on paypal money you had paid my company for hosting services, though with all the evidence I had, I won. After that you went as far as chargebacking with your bank, and you lost that as well.
Because you kept being an idiot and emailing my wife, and just being plain dumb after I tried to help you, I did hack you. I hacked your linkedin, I hacked your facebook, I hacked your myspace, I hacked your gmail, I hacked your godaddy, I even hijacked your domains. I hacked your mom's email, I hacked your mom's facebook, I hacked your friends on facebook, around 60 of them actually, I pretty much hacked anyone I saw talking to you until you backed off on talking ###.
Little did I know this whole time you had been trying to file a claim against your former employer, first for mental issues and stress from getting fired and the problems with the police, then for wrongful termination, then for some other crap.
That was shut down by the court system.
You even went as far as to try and get the FBI and Sacramento Police on me saying that I stole your mom's credit card from her AOL account that I had hacked. Guess what, AOL doesn't keep online records of credit cards.
You have tried to blame me over and over for all your failures. You are a scam artist, you lie and lie and lie, even your friends think that.
Your whole linkedin profile and resume are BS. You have NO degrees from any of the colleges you put. How do I know this? I called and verified. You aren't attending a college in SA. How do I know this? Again, I called and verified.
How does your car get repo'd if you have money for it? How am I involved in your car being repo'd? Are you trying to say that because I hacked your facebook and email, and I won over 7 chargeback attempts from you and your bank, that I got a loan for a car, but let you get the car? I am not following this line of thinking.
I warned you awhile back, drop the bs. Clearly you haven't.
You want to sue Toyota for "libel"? HAH. What you did with this post is considered libel, not what some guy said on the phone to you.
Ok, I did try and keep it short, I was planning on posting some of the screenshots and logs of conversations and other things with you to show how full of it you were, but I did *try* to keep it short.
Stop blaming others for your failures. Own up to things. Stop lying. It's to the point now that I won't even do anything to you in return because I can see how miserable you must feel inside. It would be like picking on the kids that get off the short bus. Though, I am going to warn you if I find any more things online with my name in them, you better hope to god you got factual evidence that points to what you are saying... And feel free to copy what I wrote here, because it is FACTUAL. Anything more is some crap you fabricated up to make yourself look like the poor little victim.

false advertisements
We received a flier in the mail that listed a special deal for repossessed cars. This was for a sale going on June 15-19. Said all credit was ok. We have bad credit but I am desperate for a car. The cars prices started a $72.00 a month So I went out and was grabbed by a salesman named Brian. First we dealt with a lottery ticket we had that said we had won one of four prizes. NO we had to scratch off another ticket. Of course we didn't match anything. But we were told there was another prize that wasn't listed. A vacation. He came back after taking our little scratchoff ticket and said we had one the vacation. He brought us one of those big fliers with tons of small print writing. It was one of those vacation scams where you have to send in money and go listen to sales pitches. anyway. We are in a chapter 13 so I had to get a lot of paperwork in saying it was allowed for me to buy a car. He told me I was approved and would have no problem I just had to get in the paperwork from the trustee. I had told him my situation and told him we needed a small payment because I have been ill for a couple of years and am working only part time till I get my disability. He said no problem. So it takes a couple of days of trying to get the paperwork in. Of course he wasn't there the next day so I had to wait. Took three tries to get the fax in, they kept saying that they didn't get it. Finally they got it and I talked to him and told him my husband and I would be out in the afternoon. He asked what kind of payment and I told him the trustee would only let me have a $225. payment and he just went Oh... I said that anyway I wanted one of the cars that was advertised for $72-110. Dollars and he said they didn't have any of those cars, that they had been sold the week before. I said well I don't understand that because my flier said the sale was the 15th- the 19th. His reply was that the sale had actually started the week before and that some people got the flier the week before. Yeah right! I guess the dates were just a misprint. I thought this kind of thing was illegal. They are nothing but scam artists. They wasted a bunch of my time and energy which is valuable to me because I am in pain all the time and would not have went out there to begin with but for their false advertisements.
false promises
Unpleasant Experience - Car dealerships like Mac Cathy Lynwood made promises they never kept. I was made to believe when I trade my car in that they will settle the amount in full and this never happened. I even bought a car from them and they were so sch rude that they also made me believe that my shortfall of the traded car will be loaded on the new deal - which in actual fact was loaded. So it is very clear they did not settle the car firstly, loaded the 2nd deal which calculates to 3 x the profit. BE WARNED - DON'T DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE AS THEY ARE NOT HONEST AND YOU CAN NOT TRUST THEM - I WAS A VICTIM - SO MUCH FOR THE NAME TOYOTA SA

Read full review of Toyotano compassion during crisis!
I began a lease on a vehicle in 2006 while going to school for my current career. At the time, I had no employment and only placed a first month Lease Payment for collateral, no down payment at all so my monthly payments were $360.00. Since then, I have made my payments, some with difficulty as I started a new career. I lost my job at Christmas and am trying to strike out on my own. Of course, along with many many other people my husband and I are trying to keep our heads above water financially, which is even more difficult while trying to start a new business. I was late on my Dec lease payment which put me behind, and by late January I knew I was going to be in trouble with my January payment. In early February, I contacted IRA Toyota in Manchester NH where I leased my vehicle from and asked if I could come in and find out what my options were at the time because I couldn't keep up my payments. I went to the dealership at 8:30am, and was treated nicely enough but my inquiry was not handeled as I wished...the salesmen kept putting refinancing options and deferment options aside, the only focus was on trying to have me turn in my leased vehicle and buy another for roughly the same amount of money per month! Near 9:00 that evening, I could tell the only goal amongst the salesmen was getting another sale through for the President's Day Weekend sale. One of the financial staff was even TEXTING UNDER HIS DESK WHILE TALKING WITH ME AND MY HUSBAND! We walked away from Ira Toyota that night with no idea of what to do. Three weeks later, thankfully BEFORE I made my next payment, Toyota had my car repossessed. When I called the Financial Services number to find out if I could work out the situation with them, they only gave me two options...get back into the Lease or pay the HUGE amount to buy the vehicle. I could not do either so my car was sold at auction for Blue Book value. Now I am trying to set up a payment arrangement to pay the $4691.97 that I am still "responsible for" according to TOYOTA, and they have no one at the [protected] line that I can take my call or I can leave a message for. This has been an awful experience that I hope no one else will have to go through! I saw an ad this weekend that indicated that Toyota would help you through rough times...THAT AD MUST ONLY BE FOR CUSTOMERS WHO BUY THEIR VEHICLES, NOT LEASE!
can not get money back
To Whom It May Concern;
My name is Denny West and I live in Williamsburg Va. On 4/16/2011 I purchased a 2011 Scion TC from Casey Toyota, our local Toyota dealer. I put down a large amount of money, both in cash and trade in value. When starting the paper work with the finance manager Ernie Livesay, I was told that the amount of my loan was only a couple of thousand dollars and it would be hard to find a bank to finance it. So he added on an extended service contract from Toyota Insurance in the amount of $712.38. I told him I did not want it and he stated that he will only keep it in-force a month to get the loan and then he would cancel it, and the whole amount will then be credited to my loan..I thought at the time that something sounded not quite right about what he was doing, Again he guaranteed me that it will only be on be loan papers until the bank finances it.
I only drove the Scion a couple of months and it only had under 500 miles on it when I sold it. I then went to Casey Toyota to tell Ernie Livesay that the car has been sold and I wanted my money back on the Toyota Extended Service Contract. After many calls both answered and not answered, all I got was excuses, different reasons why it is taking so long etc. Again after many non returned calls, and trips to see them, I finally got Ernie Livesay to call Toyota to find out what was going on. When Ernie Livesay called directly to Toyota Insurance about it, I ask many times what was the amount on the check. At the end of the call I again asked, what was the amount the check and he finally said it was $695.00. When I did finally get a check it was in the amount of $612.38, exactly $100 short of what it should be. Again I called him and he said he will check into it but it was the fault of Toyota Insurance not his. He said maybe it is a charge to close the account, he was not sure. I believe it is more like his commission on the deal and he wants to keep it?
I buy a car a year for the last ten years and for the life of me I can not explain why they would want to loose my business. With the economy so bad now I can only think it is greed. I f this is how Toyota does business and takes care of its customers, then I will be happy to spread the word about these dealings and see what everyone thinks of it. I even think there may be some unethical if not unlawful ways they are doing business. I work for a large Corp. and have many avenues of spreading the word, please look into this matter and stop Casey from ripping off anymore customers.

We are looking for a new car and are considering buying a Toyota. We have never owned one before. Does anyone out there have any good reviews or have any complaints about owning a Toyota and their customer service reputation.
We have owned Hondas and Mazdas and have had good customer service with them. Is toyota any better then them.
These Toyota Insurance or Gap coverage are a scam nationwide! I had a new car that was totaled and they said there was no gap! if they really looked the gap was 1, 282.00...it sucks that such a good product is turned in to a breeding ground for insurance scammers! had a 2013 Toyota now I have a 2013 Dodge and do not recommend Toyota or its affiliates!
