faulty car exported
I had purchased a car from prosper japan car dealer- toyota vanguard 2011. The car agent for the company was miss mika. From day 1 when the car reached the off loading port at dar e salaam the car did not start. The car had an electrical problem and which basically means that the dealer sold me a faulty car. When we reported to the company, they did not take action. My concern is how did a faulty car pass jevic for export. Does it mean the dealer paid the agengy under the table to clear the car even though it was fault. I had purchased the car in august 2014 and was shipped by dec 2014. The company and neither their representatives took any interest in resolving the matter. Prosper japan has been very un professional in their work. I have already repalce the intergrated relay for the car. And still while driving suddenly the entire system goes off and the car comes to a total stand still in middle of the road.
I want the concerned agency to take strict action against propser japan and miss mika for selling a faulty car.
If required i can provide more car details
thanks,

I went to abdullatif jameel, toyota dahran office to report the violation dated 12-05-1436, but when I talked to the leasing in-charge he said no need to worry about because there was no violation so I don’t need to worry. Few months later I got received a text messages from moi-moroor. Violation#[protected] (registration paper not original). I’m upset because I think it was nothing but when I see the violation it goes tripled I am very disappointed about the service and the people who involved of this matter. Hoping you can help me back the money I paid for this violation.
Thanks..

air leakage
Hello,
I purchased 2014 Toyota Yaris hatchback "made in France" and when approaching 80 Km with all windows closed I hear a noisy air sound inside the car.
I went to the authorized service shop and they changed the driver's door window.
Unfortunately the sound does still irritate the driver as well as the pasengers in side the vehicle.
The car odometer now reads 1, 200 km.
defective toyota yaris 2014
I have experienced several problems with the vehicle mentioned above after I bought it in the last week of june, 2014. The problems continued after a near fatal accident and accident. I complained to toyota trinidad and tobago ltd who took my car from december to january stating they fixed the problem. However, my response was that they exchanged the vehicle because I had no confidence in it. They refused to exchange the vehicle. I got my lawyer to write a pre action protocol letter to the company asking them to refund all my money. Toyota trinidad and tobago wants to only give me part of the money. I believe this is very unfair to me. The matter has not been resolved to this date. (may 30th, 2015). I humbly ask for the intervention of the rightful authority of toyota international. My email address is [protected]@gmail.com
bad customer service
After 3 times of the same complaint from the brake system. And every time they told me " dust in the brake system" and finally told me " heating wax", after I wrote complaint on the website then I take appointment, I went on time but they told me you have to wait until finding free place in the maintenance hall...
I wait 5 hours for fixing car after that the car was in a bad condition ( dirty and many scratches on the paint) and they told me " it is not our problem"
I feeled angry from this dealer and I want to process this scratch on the paint
tire or rim
I have purchase many toyotas and now own 3. My 2010 corolla has a tire that goes down real slow. 1 or 2 lbs a month. the care has less that 10, 000 miles on it. I have put up with it ever since it was new. Will Toyota do any thing to fix the problem. I have had it to tire stores at leas 6 times with no success. I wonder if the rim could have a weld problem

I have purchased a brand new Toyota Aygo, which was involved in an accedent in September. Toyota SA now wants to tell me that there are no spares avalable and that the spares will only be avalable on 27 October.
are there no flights to SA till then or is it a case of the customer has purchased the goods, and so what now he can waite till we decide to assist?
My Toyota Concor 2400 TX 4x4 was involved in an accident on 19th feb . I sent it in on the 26th Feb. A month later UI was told there was no back door and one would have to be imported from Japan.
After many polite promises that actually help me not at all . there is still no door. This leaves me in a precidament as Outsurence have stopped my hired car after the precsribed month.
Good Day,
My husband and myself received a sms message to say your mobile number has won 500, 000 pounds in Tiyota awards. Claim code & e-mail address to send e-mail to to claim the prize.
Can you please investigate to see if this is legitimate or a scam.
Thanks,
Ms. W.
Last year Rosner Toyota of Fredericksburg VA tried to charge me 150 to change my head light, they said the bumper had to be removed, I threw such a fit they ended up charging me 50. Today I found out it's not necessary to remove the bumper with instructions from an auto help site my husband changed it in less than 30 min. And he is NO mechanic. Shame Shame on Toyota for the lie and the design.
I recently took my celica gts in because of engine surging they didn't diagnose it they went off recall bullitin and told me that was my problem and it turned out after they charged me to replace it it did not change a thing I paid them 630 dollars now they are telling me it is something different I really feel I'm being ripped off because I paid for a part I did not need because they didn't do their job in the first place
Red Mccombs Toyota, a terrible dealer, doesn't care about customers . I had purchased a 2010 Toyota Camry V6 in January 2010 to initially get to and from work. The car started getting dirty by a lot of dust has been covered inside the car. I brough my car to dealer too many time and received nothing fit but waiting and waiting.
I have a late 2005 model Hilux 2.7 petrol with 65 000 km on the clock and have a severe gearbox problem and toyota refuses to fix the problem although they know that there has been a several number of these vechicles that did have the same problem as the workshop manager at th dealer told me so! We own a fleat of three of the vechicles but i am selling mine and buying a vechicle that do offer some after sales service!
Its annoying that Toyota thinks they can smooth over the PR issue with cutting prices on their cars. How about making better cars to begin with. Maybe this is a time to switch brands.
If Toyota really wanted to change their image they would be more active trying to answer customer questions. I have been trying to get someone there to answer me and so far they have not contact me.
is anyone else trying to get through to the decision makers at Toyota or TMIS(Insurance Services)? I have reached our regional manager and he was of no assistance. I am told over and over that I need to call the Customer Experience number--and what be told that I can not speak to a manager, failed by dealerships too. Just looking for someone to listen to the customer and not the just the dealerships.
deceptive practises
After being called 17 times and offered a deal which would fit her budget, 65 year old Mary C. was swindled. The salesman convinced her the deal was perfect so just sign. It was not even close. The contract was written so instead of receiving credit for her trade in, she had to repay the money the contract shoed they had paid it off. This place is criminal...

This is the absolute WORST dealership I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. This dealership is full of employees who are rude, lie to you and difficult to deal with. Read full review of Toyota and 2 commentsdenial of extended warranty
After extensive research we found out that the issues I've been having with my car were under an extended warranty that Toyota did not repair when the car was under warranty. It's a manufacturing defect and a safety issue. It's unfortunate that such a large corporation is willing to risk this and their liability.
It’s undeniable that the main advantage of owning a Prius is for the fuel efficiency, but I’m beginning to see there are more disadvantages to owning a hybrid vehicle. Many of us know the controversy of the Prius being an environmentally friendly vehicle. Prior to buying my second generation Prius, I did my research and know that the vehicle production is more energy-intensive and results in higher production emissions than conventional vehicles, but this is offset by the Prius’s lifetime carbon emissions. However, I did not anticipate the amount of repairs and the frequency of them.
I knew that the hybrid battery was an inevitable expense when I purchased the Prius. I was relieved to find out that there are alternatives to the estimated $4, 000 battery replacement. Often times one or two of the cells are bad in the battery, which does not warrant a brand new battery - just a replacement of the cells. It’s unfortunate that Toyota does not offer such a repair given that the production of hybrid batteries require much more energy than producing a standard car battery and results in higher emission levels of gases like sulfur oxide. Also, the production of the battery relies on rare earth elements often coming from China who ignore the environmental safeguards during the mining process like removing topsoil and using acids that enter the groundwater.
The production and the disposal of the hybrid batteries have given the Prius a bad reputation. Fortunately in 2010 Toyota launched a battery recycling program which may offset the carbon footprint, but it does not offset the expense and waste of creating a new battery. This does not seem like an “environmentally friendly” solution to me.
It seems to me that Toyota’s strategy is to put you in a new Prius, but buying a new car does not resolve anything - again not very "environmentally friendly". Hybrid cars require more energy to produce than conventional cars, emitting more greenhouse gases and burning more fossil fuels during the manufacturing process. The production of hybrid batteries, in particular, requires much more energy than producing a standard car battery and results in higher emission levels of gases like sulfur oxide:
These more efficient technologies of hybrids often have higher upfront costs because the additional technological element and electric components in them seem to create more issues to fix and more difficulty to work on them independently. Toyota has a monopoly over hybrid parts and services for these vehicles making them much more expensive for repairs because they are newer technologies and basically have to amortize development costs over a smaller number of units produced. For example, the cost to replace the center multifunction display on the Prius runs anywhere from $1, 500-4, 000!
Since my car turned 150, 000 years I have had to replace the Hybrid battery with an estimated cost of apx. $4, 000 and the 12 Volt Battery with an estimated cost of apx. $450. Now I have a proposed estimate of $3, 660.26 to fix the combination meter and the brakeactuator which seems to be a manufacture defect and is out of its extended warranty. The total cost of repairs for this would cost: $8, 110! (This is not considering the annual maintenance and costs for expected wear-and-tear on vehicles over its lifetime.) The cost to repair a Prius is absurd. It's cheaper to buy a used Prius, so it’s no wonder that most people opt to buy a new vehicle. It’s unfortunate that we live in a generation were we think that everything is disposable and not repairable. I think we are going to continue to see more issues as we move to more technologically advanced vehicles in the future and these issues are not going to be cheap or easy to fix.
I have always loved Toyota for the longevity and integrity of their vehicles, but I have to say I am quite disappointed by their inability to uphold to their mission "To attract and attain customers with high-valued products and services and the most satisfying ownership experience in America."

Something happened to me too.
I'm so glad somebody started this. I had the same issue with Red Deer Toyota as unhappy customer crustybandaid. I 100% agree with everything what was written in this article. As soon I paid $500.00 deposit I wasn’t their customer anymore. I was only a slave.
CROOKS! No dealership can legally keep a deposit if no contract is signed. This place is unproffessional and dishonest.
Nobody will care.
Not to discourage you, but Red Deer Toyota doesn't actually care. The dealerships aren't Toyota OWNED, they merely pay a fee to sell Toyota vehicles. Any problems that aren't directly related to the mechanical operations of the vehicle falls completely outside of Toyota’s “zone of responsibility." I had a HORRIBLE experience with a store manager with my car - no end of troubles, terrible service, lies right from the owner, etc - and no matter how high I went up at Toyota, they couldn't do anything. (The fish stinks from the head down). I called VISA, Toyota head office in Toronto and also the Police department in Red Deer.
They repeatedly told me it was up the DEALER to solve the problem, and the most they could do was "alert the dealer I was unhappy." Yeah, I already did that. The dealer was totally useless and didn't give a damn about my problems.
Best thing I can suggest is write a letter indicating that you will no longer return to that dealership and then just don't.
Also, go to Canadian Tire and buy new license plate rims that are unmarked, so you don't drive around advertising your first dealership. They like to replace the plate covers to have their name on it.
Red Deer Toyota you are dead to me.

quality of product
I purchased a Toyota Avensis in 2008, for the use of my business which is a one man band Hackney Cab. when the car had done 63, 000 miles it was recalled by Toyota, a new engine was fitted. I paid £18, 000 for this vehicle. it has been well serviced and kept up to D.C.C.standards. The vehicle has done 113, 000 miles, unfortunately the car is out of action with the Cylinder Head Gasket unrepairable, to fix the vehicle would require a new engine fitting at the cost of £6, 000. I contacted a couple of garages for an estimate, I was offered £850. and £1, 000 as it stands. I have lost a lucrative D.C.C contract as my vehicle is stationary, My business is suffering immensely, I have lost a considerable amount of livelihood. I am extremely upset as you can imagine as I bought this vehicle in good faith, having been advised by my business colleagues that Toyota were very reliable. Please could you advise, before I take this upsetting matter further.
they provided broken car and asked to pay for the repair
People, stay away from the company Coos Bay Toyota. I paid money for the car, which was bad and broken. These jerks refused to help me at the beginning, but later they asked to pay $5, 000 for the repair and other services. Total scam, so better avoid these jerks and post comments if you have the same problems as I have. As well as I won’t advise to buy from this awful company.

Toyota has to bear full responsibility for my safety and be responsibility for the quality of my Toyota Vios.
On 18 Oct 2013 evening at about 5:00 am, I was driving on wet road in the highway and when I avoided some problem on the road, my Vios skidded completely out of control. It almost ended my life !
This is my first accident since I started driving in 1998 but this also led to the lost of my first favourite car, 2009 Vios, which was completely destroyed.
At the time of accident, when my Vios skidded completely out of control, my eyes was wide open seeing the whole process of car spinning on the road and it almost fell into the deep cliff. This was what I encountered personally at the edge of death experience!
Very lucky I did not get killed in this accident.
I know that all this while Toyota has been in the best of reputation in the market and loved by many people, and I was one of them, so my second car selection in 2014 was the new Vios which I deliberately chose the highest specifications, the TRD Sportivo version.
On 9 Feb 2014, I was driving my brand new Vios in Malaysia Cameron Highlands which almost led to a second accident.
In the early morning, after drinking Starbuck Coffee I was going back from Tanah Rata to Brinchang when the temperature was so cold with cold wind blowing around and there was also light rain.
(throughout the year average daily minimum temperature is 15oC)
I ran into the car in the cold and wet and did not wind down the window or turn on the air-cond. Driving half way on the road suddenly the windscreen became so misty that I sat in front of the steering wheel in the car totally cannot view through the windows and front windscreen for the surrounding situations. At that moment I could not find the Front Demister switch, immediately I pressed the Hazard Light and halted on the roadside. In that location between Tanah Rata and Brinchang there are no street lights but winding mountain road, behind my car there could follow other cars or heavy vehicles or could be travelling in the danger zone of the mountain cliff.
At that time my situation was so dangerous, can you imagine what will be the consequences?
Because of this eventuality, what I intended for leisure in Cameron to relax on vacation with a happy mood was completely destroyed.
After the unfortunate accident back in 2013 and the 2014 bad experience in Cameron highlands, I later discovered that you are selling in the Malaysia market and what I now drive, the high price new 2013 highest Vios specifications TRD Sportivo was not installed with Vehicle Stability Control. Toyota referred to it as VSC which is the next most important safety feature after the Seat Belt. http://www.toyota-global.com/innovation/safety_technology/safety_technology/technology_file/active/vsc.html(VSC is the crucial safety feature which according to the FIA and global NCAP, is the second most important safety feature after seatbelts) extracts from Live life Drive.

Even the most basic car in the Malaysia market will have Front Demister but the highest Toyota Vios TRD Sportivo has no such device, on the Dashboard you can only see superficial Windscreen Front Demister outlets but without any function.
Here I emphasize again that Toyota must understand that existing Vios users has the existence of all these risks, I strongly urge that my existing car must have VSC active safety systems as well as Front Demister Function. http://blog.carlist.my/2014/11/news/global-ncap-dont-buy-cars-without-esc/

I am a person that enjoy driving my own car to travel around with family and friends, travelling on North-South highway from Johor Bahru to Penang. I do not want my existing Toyota Vios with no VSC in the active safety features to bring me and my family the third accident!
____________________________________________
Vehicle Stability Control (VSC)
Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) is a system that helps prevent side skids and help stabilize the vehicle while turning on a curve. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA) report, vehicles equipped with VSC compared to those without can effectively reduce single-vehicle accidents by 35 % (Toyota website)
Why Toyota in their own web pages mentioned about the VSC, TRC and other active safety features on how good, how important they are, but in the Vios car models these safety features do not appear? I hope Toyota will seriously care about every Vios user’s life on the road, essential safety and protection assurance.
Now I also want to let the Toyota know that my Toyota Vios has been having quality issue since the beginning, that is, around the position of the front wheels, over almost every hump or uneven road surface, even when going at speed of less than 40Kmh there is unusual ‘Knocking Sound’.
Since first time driving this new car and since it's 1st Servicing, I had raised this issue, and your technical staff also told me that the car did have this problem, and I've tried my best to work with your Service Centre many times, went back to do the repair and replacement of parts. Until today UMW Toyota Malaysia still has no way to solve this quality problem, each time said done and too soon the problem came back and repeated again many times.
I do not want to spend so much money including bank interest of over RM100, 000 = USD28, 000 to buy a 1.5 litre car that is unsafe and QC defective from TOYOTA.
I am now having my high specification Vios TRD Sportivo which I have completely lost confidence. Whether in the city or highway driving in the rain on wet road in particular, there has not been any sense of safety.
How in the coming days, I should continue to use this car ?
I find it difficult to convince myself and recommend it to family members, relatives or friends, which I used to say how good are Toyota cars, more durable and safe, as now what TOYOTA initially emphasized to customers the assurance of safety with quality, is extremely a disappointment.
TOYOTA MALAYSIA up to now have been delaying and wasting my time and mental energy, I would like to see that Toyota, by March 2015, make a series of improvements to the problems I am currently facing as mentioned above.
I will publicly announced all these issues, if TOYOTA does not satisfactorily solve the problems of my car!
Quote: Akio Toyoda, president ofToyotaMotor Corporation emphasized, “I would like to point out here that Toyota's priority has traditionally been the following: First; Safety, Second; Quality, and Third; Volume. These priorities became confused, and we were not able to stop, think, and make improvements as much as we were able to before, and our basic stance to listen to customers' voices to make better products has weakened somewhat”. http://www.theguardian.com/business/2010/feb/24/akio-toyoda-statement-to-congress

Up to now UMW Toyota Malaysia did not do anything to solve my problems. Did Japan Toyota an sure UMW Toyota Malaysia seriously solve Toyota user problems.
Toyota Vios in the highest spec ( TRD sportivo ) sell in Malaysia RM93, 200.00 = USD26, 177.57 has no VSC no TRC no front Demister and has only 2 airbags, Thin car shell body noisy sounds from rooftop when drive in rainy day, and knocking sounds from front wheels when cross uneven road surface even low speed in below 40kmh. Already many times return to Toyota Malaysia during repair or replacement parts until now problems still have.

noise defect during uneven roads
I bought a new Toyota Vios 1.5 G in Sept 2014. The minutes I collected my new car, I discovered noise occured during uneven road or over humps. I repeatly make complaints and finally got the engine mounting changed. However the noise defect still appearing n remain unsettled. I was told by the service centre and toyota complaint dept Malaysia that toyota is not able to eliminate the noise defect but can only minimise the noise. I was told to accept the situation as there is no corrective action. I cannot accept such explaination as this is a new brand car wih 3.5 mths old with less than 2000km and my old vois does not has that sound eventhough it is already 10years old. Toyota as A leading company can solve this. please help. My email:[protected]@yahoo.com
Hi Gooi, I got my new Vios J spec in Mar 2015 and facing the same engine mounting noise problem. Each service time i complained at the Balakong service centre and the SA gave me lean excuse like: "oh, the new Vios is designed like that, so there is nothing we can do!"
I guess this is the best excuse they can give so they can wash their hands off easily. How's ur problem now? I intend to write a strong complain letter to UMW Toyota and copy to Toyota HQ Japan to record our dissatisfaction about the matter. Regards!
P.H.Chan, Seri Kembangan.
I bought Toyota Vios 1.5G less than a month and i am hearing the noises already. I am suspecting the noise is from the engine. The noise is even there when the car is not moving.
unlawful business dealings
I was looking for crazy 8 car loans. They gave me an address so i gps it and instead of crazy 88 dealership it was rick case fiat. They seem to be using or are behind a scheme to hurt people with low credit scores. I bigger problem is that they added 2 other cots for my car. Skyline and gap both of which my finance company stated were not required. The staff at rick case fiat have been deceiving and won't allow me to talk to the general manager. I believe that isreal washington, the guy that sold me my car is the main source of this deception. Both the gap and the skyline were added to my loan. I need to know how can i file a complaint and to who i file my complaint.
Bad after sales service by these guys...
Veterans discount
was going to purchase 2 vehicles from my local Toyota dealer. I'm a Retired Army and a Desert Storm Vet. I Retired in 2001 with 20 years in. here what got me Toyota only gives a discount up to one year a person gets out or retired from the service on some vehicles none. Unlike other dealers it a military discount all the time no mater how long you been out as long you have a DD-214. so when the sale person informed me of this we (me and my wife) got up and went to FORD and got $500 for both cars. to me Toyota not Military friendly.

bad service / many parts damage
I had sent (Towed) my accident car Toyota Vios to UMW Toyota on 17 Oct 2014 but up today 15th Dec 2014 Toyota never move the car for repair and left at hot sun and heavy rain at their service centre. This car get rusted and cable spoil. I lost confident on Toyota.

customer service
I called Toyota Finance to make my last payment at Toyota Finance took and I was not able to access my account. It took nearly 10 days before I could figure out the prompts and find a live person . I would be placed on hold through the automated service and suddenly disconnected. Finally, I was able to talk to a person, the first woman that answered the telephone and was extremely rude and not wanting to help me at all. I asked her why I had to go through the Recovery Department…I did not understand what that was. I asked if it was a repossession department and she said it was. I did not understand why my vehicle was being repossessed. She put me on hold for 40 minutes. Than Agnes got on the phone and she was even ruder and confirmed my truck was being repossessed. I told her that I had not received any papers. I told her I did not understand and she told me I was not my fault that I did not understand.
I asked to speak with someone else and she refused. I asked for a manager and she would not transfer me. She pretended to transfer me to a manager, she actually transferred me into a woman's voicemail that was on vacation for another week. At this point, I called my sister very shaken, 3 hours later, she reached a live person named Tom who confirmed my truck was not in repossession.
So, after lying to me, refusing to give me my last payment information Agnes is still working at Toyota Finance. I never did get a pay-off amount, my sister had to call again. I called today, I made the payment on November 25th - Agnes said she would need a few days to confirm. I am certain since the payment is confirmed from my bank, Toyota has it. She is just being vengeful. Today, she said there is an order for Toyota to pick up my vehicle. I am not sure if she is lying or telling the truth this time. I did not receive a letter, nevertheless, I am afraid to leave my house.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
