My recent experience with Travelup has been quite disappointing and frustrating, to say the least. After having my flights cancelled by the airline, I immediately contacted Travelup for confirmation and assistance. Unfortunately, it took me hours of trying to get through their customer service line before I was able to speak with a representative. I requested a refund over the phone, but I was told that I would only be entitled to a credit note, and that I had to rebook a flight by the end of August , and fly by February . I felt stressed and felt that I had no option but to agree. Along with the phone call, I was informed to reply immediately to an email confirmation.
It wasn't until a few days later when I stumbled upon some customer legal rights materials and social media posts that I discovered I was entitled to a full refund. I contacted Travelup again, but unfortunately, their staff was unhelpful and equally unresponsive. In fact, it has taken them an unreasonable amount of time to address my concerns and provide any form of assistance. I even had to join a Facebook page for support where over 1500 users shared similar issues with the company.
I remain aggrieved by their treatment and continue to pursue a full refund as prescribed by my customer rights. As an essential worker, I am mindful of the value of my hard-earned money and the importance of ethical and lawful business practices.
Therefore, I strongly advise against using Travelup for any travel arrangements, as their services do not seem to comply with legal standards. In the future, I know better than to use a travel agent and intend to book directly with airlines.
Realization of My Unhealthy Eating
I must express utter disappointment and dismay regarding my recent experience with this service provider. Given the unprecedented circumstances surrounding the global Coronavirus pandemic, I was appalled when I was quoted a fee of ?280 to change my flight plans, while Emirates, the airline responsible for my booking, offered a gratis treatment of the same request.
Moreover, when I requested clarification, the representative provided vague and illogical reasoning. December is supposedly peak season, hence, I was penalized with additional charges. However, such reasoning contradicts the fact that a new ticket would cost marginally more than my original ticket, raising valid questions regarding the rationality behind the company's unsatisfactory pricing scheme.
Regarding the staff, I am disheartened to report that despite the gentleman’s status, which he failed to exhibit, he failed to exemplify the exemplar behavior expected of any professional representative. Instead of providing a voucher, he continuously reiterated the excuse of December being the peak season, which arguably fails to justify the exorbitant fees being imposed on my request.
The added challenges faced to access support representatives also infers poor service quality. After holding thrice, my total waiting time exceeded 2 hours, which is regrettable. In contrast, I must offer commendations to Emirates for their swift and efficient resolution of my predicament, handling my request in less than 10 minutes.
Additionally, my initial booking endured a similar challenge, where confusion lingers around my baggage allowances. To my utmost displeasure, I had to pay nearly ?200 in extra charges after being given different prices for the excess.
Although I understand that mistakes are inevitable in the business world, I find it unacceptable that no email response was issued despite sending approximately 20 emails seeking clarification and resolution. It is rare for me to leave a negative review, but the atrocious service I encountered necessitated this action. Regrettably, I will not recommend this service to anyone and am willing to incur additional costs to avoid future contacts with them.
My Encounter with Scammers and a Bait and Switch
The experience I had with booking a hotel through Travel Up was wholly disappointing and unprofessional. Despite submitting my booking in advance, I was shocked to discover that my reservation could not be confirmed by the hotel directly. It became apparent that I had been placed inadvertently in the cheaper and inferior section of the hotel at a cost of almost $1K. This was clearly an act of deception, and it felt as though I had been scammed.
How I was treated throughout this unfortunate process was even more distressing. Travel Up's initial response was full of platitudes and empty reassurances, stating that the situation would be "fixed" within three days. This droned on for almost two months, with countless emails promising resolution that never materialized. They refused to return my full payment, citing flimsy reasons such as the reservation being confirmed, which was far from the truth.
I had no option but to file a credit card charge dispute, which led to a speedy resolution in my favor. Nevertheless, dealing with Travel Up has been an agonizing and stressful experience, and I would not recommend them as a viable travel booking service.
In conclusion, I cannot stress enough about the lack of trustworthiness of Travel Up. They engage in unscrupulous practices and provide a deplorable customer service experience. I would advise travelers to steer far away from them and choose a different travel booking service to avoid a similar predicament.
My Terrible Experience with Travel Up when Booking
In January last year, I eagerly booked a British Airways return flight to the United States for a trip I intended to take in June. However, the global pandemic had other plans, and I found myself unable to board. Consequently, I contacted Travel Up, and was informed that my sole option would be to utilize the ticket's value to rebook the flights before January 25th.
Unfortunately, owing to the ongoing restrictions imposed by the government on non-essential travel, I have been unsuccessful in scheduling a trip to the USA by this deadline. I have submitted numerous requests to Travel Up since December last year for a full refund, yet to date these efforts have been unfruitful.
Subsequently, I have spent a substantial amount of time calling Travel Up's customer service line, only to be transferred to an Administrative Officer who was consistently "unavailable". My requests for him to return my calls went unheeded, and my emails were left unanswered.
Through sheer persistence, I finally gained an audience with the Administrative Officer. However, to my dismay, he instructed me to communicate with the Administrative Manager instead. I attempted to reach this individual on numerous occasions but was told on each attempt that he was not available. Additionally, my requests were yet again ignored.
Customer Services of Travel Up recently informed me that they would only be refunding me ?300, rather than the full payment I made of ?530.33. This is entirely unreasonable and goes against my right to a full refund.
I would strongly advise against booking flights with Travel Up, despite their claim to offer "excellent service" and be "a name you can trust". Based on my personal experience, I can only describe such assertions as fictional.
I Got Lost in the Woods on a Camping Trip and it was a Bad
From personal experience, I cannot stress enough the importance of avoiding TravelUp. In every aspect of my dealings with them, I encountered nothing but incompetence, unprofessionalism, and a lack of customer care that borders on negligence.
My flight tickets were not sent to my email, despite being reserved and paid for. When I called their customer service line, I was forced to endure an hour of waiting and multiple unsuccessful attempts at the call-back service. When someone finally answered, they were so rude and uncooperative that I was left wondering if I had unwittingly stumbled onto a scam artist. Moreover, their staff appeared to have a poor grasp of English, which complicated communication further.
To make matters worse, they failed to notify me when my flight had been moved to a different day. It was only by chance that I discovered this myself on the airline's website. Despite this, I was unable to make any changes or receive help from the airline because of TravelUp's policy that requires all alterations to be made through their company.
Although TravelUp will respond to emails, it can take over 24 hours to receive a response. In cases of emergency, this waiting period could prove catastrophic. On the return trip to my home country, I discovered that my tickets had not been rebooked correctly, and that the airline could not check me in. TravelUp had made an error in their system, and had assured me that my ticket was valid despite this. In this situation, I was exceedingly grateful to the airline staff who went above and beyond to help me fix the issue.
In light of these experiences, I strongly recommend against using TravelUp. It is far wiser to spend a little extra and book directly with the airline of your choice. Doing so will ensure that you are not left stranded and helpless in the face of TravelUp's many shortcomings.

Dear Sir,
Unfortunately yesterday I got scammed by travelup agency on flight from London Heathrow to Majorca on 25th of September.
After booking my flight I realized that I booked on the wrong date instead of 26th. I contacted British Airways and they told me they I have 24 hrs to change my flight without any fees. So I contacted Travelup to make the changes on my behalf since I booked with them. They refused to make any changes and told me it is not their problem. They didn't even want to check my booking on the phone or do anything about it.
I read later negative reviews about this company on several websites.
My question is how can I cancel this flight and get my money back. I have learned my lesson never to book with them again. But I would be grateful if you could interfere in resolving this issue.
