I ordered 4 * Friso Standard 3 from the website: https://www.typicaldutchstuff.com/ on March 1st, and till now, I have not received my goods. IN this period, I sent many mails to them, and only have received one reply for the first email, for my first mail is to ask why not ship for 10 days after, pls see their reply mail by the attached file.

I could not see such explaination on the website, could you pls give me a link to see? if they do not ship to china, why do not stop on the process of placing order. and I did not receive any email from Typical Dutch Stuff that they could not ship to china.

it stated they will not ship the milk powder to china by TNT, and it is not to say they will not ship to china.
it was two different conception. I am confused by TNT. why another site could ship the milk powder to china by TNT, it is also fast. I am confused by the so long ship time. I placed the order in May 01, now it was May 20. two and half months past, but TDS have not shipped the good. maybe when I received the milk powder, my baby grow up. need the toddler milk powder.

Dear all,

The situation Pieter is referring to has been solved. He placed an order for frozen meat and dairy products to be shipped to Canada, which is technically not allowed to begin with. It is stated on our website that only vegetarian products can be shipped to Canada, as Canadian Customs is very strict with these types of products and we only ship these products when the customer accepts the risk that it might be confiscated and/or destroyed. This is mentioned on our website. If a customer cannot or will not comply with this, then we obviously cannot process the order, as the risk is entirely on us in this case.

The payment has been refunded in full, but because iDeal payments are not handled directly by us, but through an acquirer, payments do not show up instantly on the bank account of the recipient. The customer has been informed about the process through email.

I am sorry to hear that your package has not arrived, as mentioned in our email to you as well. We have a disclaimer on our website and customers can pick whatever shipping method they want, just as many other web shops do: "Unregistered mail is shipped to you at your own risk and you understand that there are absolutely no guarantees, no replacements, and no exceptions if your order is lost when Unregistered Mail (PostNL below 2kg) option is chosen. This option is NOT trackable"

We offer both registered and unregistered shipping. Yes, the unregistered shipping method is a few Euros cheaper, but like with all international unregistered mail, there is no way of tracing it. We do not force anyone to select unregistered shipping, but when we remove that cheaper shipping option, customers request unregistered i.e. cheaper shipping. This has happened in the past when we removed unregistered shipping from our website.

At the time you have to select the shipping method in the shopping cart, the information about unregistered mail is listed again. Unfortunately, sometimes packages do get lost in transit and we have to rely on the services of the postal services. We do not own a courier company and deliver packages ourselves. We are very sorry to hear that this has happened to you and apologize for the inconvenience.

The risks of this are clearly listed and explained in detail on several locations on our website. We did not force you to select this untraceable shipping method. We offer fully traceable shipping with UPS for only a few Euros more.

Thank you for posting this message, even after you received a full refund. Your package was shipped, proof of shipment is available, but the package unfortunately never made it to you. This can happen with international shipments. Several emails were sent about this back and forth and you were refunded in full. We also like to point out that we are not out to keep people's money: we have been in business for almost 11 years. If you paid by credit card, you can always get your money back. It's as simple as that.

Thank you for your response. You ordered at the end of November and selected PostNL shipping. During the busy holiday period, it is not uncommon for packages to take up to 2 months in transit with this shipping method. The expected delivery date was therefore set in January. Another issue with the order was that it contained cheese, which usually triggers a red flag with customs and causes a delay in transit. This is unfortunately beyond our control.

As mentioned before, we were closed due to personal circumstances in February and March and re-opened again in April. It is now April 18th and you have received your refund in full.

As a courtesy, we will ship out your entire order again - free of charge - with FedEx. This is a fully traceable shipping option and no risk of it getting lost. You will receive a tracking email from FedEx once it has been shipped.

Our sincere apologies for the inconvenience regarding your order.

Oh man, READ THEIR WEBSITE before you place an order and complain here. It clearly states they do not SHIP to China. Every Chinese person I see complaining also does it in a very rude manner.

WE DO NOT SHIP BABY MILK POWDER TO CHINA WITH TNT! NO EXCEPTIONS: PACKAGES GET LOST OFTEN.

I am assuming lost packages are the reason for this, probably yours as well. Since the company has responded here that they will re-ship your order for FREE..I don't see why you are accusing other people. Patience is a virtue.

Dear All,

I strongly advise not to buy any goods at TypicalDutchStuff.com! very bad experience.
I made a order with frozen goods 6 weeks ago but they could, and did not deliver.
They said they would transfer the money back but still no money and also no contact ever since. Unbelievable.

I also placed an order months ago back in May, i emailed and asked if it had been shipped in june, Wendy emailed to say it had. To this day i still have not received my order and they no longer reply to emails i have sent about 6. Very disappointed, and i only ordered slippers, there cant have been a customs problem with that.

I ordered a pair of slippers on September 10, 2011 and they still have not arrived. I have sent inquiries regarding the order and only one email was responded to in December stating that they have been shipped, but the mail this time of year is slow. I live in California, USA and have made other purchases from Dutch companies that have made it here with no inconvenience. I am very sad to see that many others have had the same problems. Honestly, all I wanted was a pair of slippers for my grandmother's birthday. Maybe they'll arrive by her next one?

Thank you for your email. Your order was shipped with PostNL/TNT in September and should have arrived by now. I am sorry to hear that it has not arrived yet. The shipping method you selected does not come with a tracking number, so there is no way we know if a package has or has not arrived if we do not hear from you. Selecting an unregistered shipping method has its risk, which are all explained on our website. We offer several shipping methods that do include a tracking number.

After a bloody YEAR of waiting, no goddamn package. Tbh, it's just over the flipping channel to the UK. And to top it all off its just freaking SWEETS. And yes I have sent a few mails when I was annoyed it did not arrive, a few of those emails went unanswered.

Just because a package doesn't have track and trace doesn't mean you can do this! I always buy stuff online and get it sent to me from all over europe often without Track and Trace and it always ARRIVES. Just because it doesnt have a track or trace doesnt mean you can cheapskate your customers and make them believe you did everything to send it.

God almighty what kind of service/company do you run.

I have ordered goods from typical dutch stuff also, and after around 3 months, still no goods. I have sent countless emails to which there is no reply. The after purchase customer service is frankly disgusting. All i want from this company is my paid for goods or a refund.

It was not "a few euros more", it was almost double the price of the goods! And from the countless complaints on this website and many others, i don't think my goods "mysteriously"dissapered. I would like a refund please for the goods i ordered, but did not purchase. If you do not, i will have to take more drastic measures.

I have the same type of experience with them: a quite extensive order came incomplete and with one pair of the dutch clog slippers in the wrong size. Several other items were also wrong, but those were less important. The "customer service" was friendly enough. Of course they were going to send the right stuff right away. Nothing arrived, but according to them it was the US customs' fault. They could not give a tracking number because that was not given for orders under $100? After I spent 2010 trying to get the right stuff I gave up.
I'll never order with typical Dutch again. And I can assure you, having lived 44 years in the Netherlands, there is nothing typical Dutch in this company.

We ordered "Sinterklaas" goods and were expecting this to arrive on the 5th December, we paid for express shipping. We received an email on the 5th of December, saying that they are now dispatching it!

How can you charge us the express shipping when you have not even sent it yet on the supposed arrival date? And yet, it is now 17th of December and still waiting for our order! What a waste of time and money. NOTHING TYPICAL DUTCH about this company. Of course we are instructing Vista to get our money back if they do not fully refund and report them to the authority both here in the UK and Netherlands as i am Dutch citizen myself.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM; THERE ARE OTHER GENUINE COMPANIES THAT WILL DELIVER WHATEVER YOU NEED FROM THE NETHERLANDS.

A few months ago I ordered about EUR100 worth of stuff from Typical Dutch Stuff, besides the initial email nothing ever arrived, they not answer the phone either. They are a fraud, do not buy anything from them. I have involved the Internet Fraud investigation team in the The Netherlands, let's hope the police arrests them soon, wherever they are.

I have to agree. I ordered from them too, and with the tracked shipping, the order came to over 160 euros, and nothing ever arrived and no tracking number was ever issued, no dispatch notice, no replies to any of my emails. It's only going to the UK, and in hindsight, it would probably have worked out cheaper to just drive across and fill up the car! Disgusting. I will be taking legal action of my package doesn't arrive in full before the end of the month.

Ordered over €100 of a hamper for Mothers Day at beginning of March . Surprise surprise, payment went through fine, paid more for FedEx, after the allotted time had passes I chased up with email and received an auto reply saying they are closed for the whole of March! Why would you sell Mother's Day gifts if you are closed the month that day is in?!

No phone number, no replies to my emails, THIS IS A FRAUD SITE, I am now having to instigate legal action with the bank.

NOT TO THE OWNER OF TYPICAL DUTCH STUFF, IF YOU ARE CLOSING YOUR BUSINESS STOP ACCEPTING PAYMENTS OF ORDERS AND CLOSE YOUR SITE WHILE YOU DO IT! You are now a criminal!

Your email is only received after the order is chased, I could see no obvious mention of this on your website and believe me I looked or in the ordering process during payment, it's just poor practice if you are shut for 2 months you should put your website In admin mode so people are not lead on. And the auto email I got said you were only shut for March which again is mis leading.

Why still charge for fast shipping if things won't turn up for months anyway! I hope as you are back it seems, that you refund my order as requested several times and is stated in your auto response email you will be happy to do!

I have emailed you again, and if you keep to your word I will update this forum retracting the statements of fraud, if not my bank fraud team will be speaking to you very soon.

After reading all the other negative reviews about typicaldutchstuff.com, I must emphasize that you all read them. My experience with this website has been the worst! I ordered a shipment back in November of 2013, and it never came! After a month went by, I inquired about it. Only an auto reply stating they would get back to me within 5 days. 5 days go by, no reply, so I send another and another. Months go by and I dont receive a reply. Each email with another auto reply, now with the auto reply's changing. Some saying they are on holiday, others saying down for maintenance or closed for the month? So at this point, I am realizing what a scam this website is. After months go by and with persistence I believe the owner finally realized I wasnt just going to give up which I think she hopes most of her customers will do. Well I never gave up and after 6 MONTHS of arguing and demanding a refund, Wendy (the owner) finally refunded my order. DO NOT use this website. My wife is Dutch and I come from a large Dutch family living both in the US and the NL. I am now making it point to spread the word to as many people as I can to avoid this website! Hope this review was useful.

I think you are missing the point... It took me 6 months of fighting with you to get my refund. I am sure with less persistent customers, you would just keep their money. How do you go so long without answering all these customers inquiries? What terrible a business ethic. People please note that even after all these negative reviews, she is on here making excuses. Fact remains that it took 6 months! 4 months of that I went without replies. It wasnt until after sticking with it and calling her local police in Boxtel when I started getting replies.

One: I dont believe you. Maybe you can actually provide customers with these tracking numbers to prove what you are saying isnt just a lie.

Two: It still took until April 18th to get a refund from November. That is bad business no matter who you are.

Three: You dont answer customers emails!

and Four: My parents send me cheese every month with no problems. I think you should just stop with the irrelevant excuses.

So after 6 months of dealing with this company, Wendy (the crook of an owner) refunded my purchase. However it was just pending in my account. Then I write a bunch of negative reviews and she sends me a package (which I didnt even want anymore) through FedEx which she states is free of charge. Now that pending refund in my account has disappeared as if she still wants to charge me for the package which i dont even want anymore. This company is a criminal website! They scam people and ignore inquiries on the hopes that people forget or give up on their purchases. The customers who do fight have to do so for so long. I am still fighting. I have contacted the police and numerous internet fraud services.

This company is a bunch of con artists. Most of the responses on here are fake accounts, which are also full of racism. DO NOT ORDER! LEGITIMATE COMPANIES DO NOT GET THIS MANY COMPLAINTS! I ordered food on the 17th of januari and send many many emails to ask for the food or a refund. I have been promised a refund 4 times now and still nothing. I am about to contact the police because it is a crime to get money without delivering goods.
I want my money back or I really am going to make sure everybody knows what a company this is.
