Uber Technologies stay away from uber

Uber drivers treat customers like garbage. Very rude and disrespectful. You never know who will drive the car. There were so many situations when a driver could throw a passenger out of the car, or when someone else could use your account to make a free trip. I finally deleted my account and I am not going to use uber anymore. I ертшл it's too dangerous.

Uber Technologies unknown charge

On the 6th of august I found a $12 charge on my account from Uber. Well I really took an Uber three times but it looks like I was overcharged because of the driver. I can’t say anything bad about him, he was nice and polite, but his gps device a little misled him and we lost some time searching for the right way. So I guess that’s why the ride was expensive.

But like I said I took an Uber several times that day and paid less for the same distance. I tried to contact the customer service, but the line was busy.

Please look into the matter and refund my money.

Uber Technologies fraudulent cancellation fee charged to riders by drivers who fail to show up and cancel trips

3 instances in one week, I have been charged cancellation fees for trips where the driver failed to show up after accepting the trip.

2/7/17 - Driver Charles just refused to show and blocked my number. 15 minutes later I had to cancel the trip and was billed Ksh 200
2/7/17 - Driver Nefat - Accepted the trip then his car could not start. But refused to cancel the trip and I was billed 200 shillings for cancelling.
13/7/17 - Driver Robinson - Accepted the trip then picked up another rider on Taxify app as I was watching--as in left me standing there next to his car and refused to cancel my trip AND Uber charged me ksh 200 for cancelling

Uber does not have an emergency contact number for us to report. only option is to post a complaint on the global website after Uber and their driver have pocketed Ksh 200. Absolute fraud on both parties

Uber Technologies abuse power

Hi,

At 5.40 dated June30, I was heading down 5th Av to penn station, Try to turn 34th street, I was behind the bus to tuen west 34th street, This lady stop me middle of intersection unnecessary yealling and took my number plate and force me not to turn, Everybody turn except me, I have pic and video,

Uber Technologies charged for a trip I did not take

I am a resident in johannesburg, south africa and have been incorrectly charged for a trip that I did not take. We incorrectly requested a trip and cancelled it immediately as obviously I cannot take the trip as I am in johannesburg south africa and not in usa. I was charged r3352.56. Please can you ensure that this charge is cancelled and removed from my credit card account immediately!

Yes this is a common practice and when you look into it they pass you around from one agent to another and try and tire you out so that you just drop the issue and they will block you from using your account to try and muscle the money out of you. Basically holding a gun to your head. I have had an issue since Feb that they have not resolved but they go their 33 dollars.

Uber Technologies I was overcharged for a 3 minute trip, im a regular user of uber and I know what trips cost

On 3/27/2017 about 7.30 am, I got a uber I was going 3min from my house to a dr. Apt I was charged 8.40 only went 1.5 miles, I know what trips cost and this is not right. Should not have been more than 4.00, I want the differance refunded to me. I feel like I was taken advantage of. This has never happened before. My home is 12827 s. Ponderosa dr. Palos heights, illinois 60463
I was going to 12251 80th (Palos heights hospital) its not even 2 miles away. I never request special cars of any kind

Uber Technologies uber driver

Uber did not pay me my driver referal bonus. Initially I was suppose to recieve $1600. Then Uber tells me I will only get $1000, then it went down to $920. This bonus is advertised as a guaranteed new driver referal and in order for me to recieve this bonus, I had to complete 100 trips within 30 days which I did. After so many countless messages with Uber in app support, and 2 trips to Uber greenlight hub support office Uber refuses to pay my bonus incentive. Uber tells me after I successfully completed my 100 trips that this bonus gets added up with my total earnings. Meaning if I made a total earnings of $920 im not eligible for this bonus. That is so unfair. I even have saved messages from Uber saying that I will recieve this money. They cheated me big time. Theres even messages that I saved with Uber telling me I only completed 99 trips and once I do 1 more trip the bonus money will automatically be funded into my account. Its not fair at all. They owe me this money. There has to be someway these Uber crooks stop cheating drivers for bonus incentives. Uber recenty was sued for $20 million dollars in January 2017 for misleading drivers / cheating drivers for earnings and bonus incentives. Its pretty obvious Uber did not learn a lesson because this company is still doing bad business and cheating us Uber drivers. It is illegal to do this. I hope people reading this knows what Uber is really about. For the riders, Uber provides excellent service but please know that if you ever thought about driving for Uber, they will cheat you for your bonus money. I tried everything humanly possible to get the money they owe me and ran into a dead end. My final step is currently in proccess to opt out and sue Uber. This bad business behavior should of been stopped a while ago. These guys are scams, and crooks. They robbed me cold blooded. Everything I mentioned here is 100% true and correct. - Ryan Santos

I left my phone in an uber car. I tried to log in after the ride, but could not remember my password. After 4 hours of trying to work through their customer service web site, I gave up (I obviously did not have my phone to receive the verification sms they sent asdn they have no phone number to call). When I contacted my credit card accounts they all had been used whiel I was trying to reach someone at UBER. I had my phone, driver's license and credit cards in my phone case. The value is well over the 1500 limit to constitute a felony in my home state. I am working with police to issue an arrest warrant for the driver, but am contemplating naming UBER as aiding and abeiting a felon. Will they have to issue an arrest warrant for an UBER corporate officer in San Francisco and if so, who do I name in the warrant?

Orlando is about to crack down on Uber drivers going too fast in the parking lot of many restaurants and hotels they are considering putting Gates and Cones to stop all ubet drivers to stop them from enter ing the property because of concerns over guest safety. We are also considering putting up signs warning everyone of Uber driving too fast through our parking lots.

Uber Technologies lost phone

I used Uber service and can't say anything bad about the provided service, it was nice and driver was also friendly. But unpleasant accident happened when I forgot my phone in Uber car.
I contacted Uber company as soon as I noticed it and told them everything they asked and even drivers name and they promised to contact the driver.
After a week of waiting I contacted them again and they said that driver said that there was no phone in the car. But I'm 100% sure I forgot it there and the second thing what bothered me was that they did contact the driver but no one called me back!
I believe I was scammed. I will not use this dishonest company ever again!

Uber Technologies uber service

The cab company in Jefferson is not capable of servicing the City of Jefferson. You can wait up to 3 hours for a cab and sometimes may never get an answer when calling. The cars stink, the drivers are rude and the cost is outrageous.

Why does Jefferson City oppose Uber. They are a very reliable, reasonably priced, convenient for everyone AND a much needed service. Uber would make our streets safer by giving people a QUICK, RELIABLE & AFFORDABLE ride after having a drink.

The City government needs to quit worrying about hurting Tom Landwehr's feelings and make decisions based on what is best for all the citizens.

Uber Technologies renting of cars for uber and grabcar

Dear Sir/Mdm,
I'm complaining on this ad [protected], contact no at +[protected],
I called this guy to inquire on the status for renting a car and this guy started threatening me with vulgarities and also offered to chop me up, all I did was text him on the business ethics that he does not have any, he got unhappy and started the threat.Sometimes I wonder if you actually do any background check on this kind of incompetent guys...I strongly request that you get to the bottom of this matter... thankyou.

Uber Technologies driver was trying to rob me!

When I was in Florida I needed a taxi. I heard a lot about Uber but never used it before. I decided to give it a try and called a taxi.
I was seating next to the driver and then I got a phone call. While I was talking I was looking at the window and my purse was next to me. I felt something strange and then I saw that driver was trying to take something out of my purse! I started to yell at him and demanded to stop the car. I took my bag and run away. That driver was trying to rob me!

Uber Technologies highly unreliable company

I was late for my flight and needed a taxi as soon as possible. I called Uber and said that it was an emergency and they said I'll get the car in a few minutes. Stood there waiting and no one arrived!
So then I called a local taxi service and they arrived within 10 minutes! When I was already at the airport Uber customer service rep called and said that my car was awaiting. I said no thanks and hung up.
Never again I will use Uber! Total joke!

über is app based. If you called and spoke to someone it was not Uber. More then likely a cab company trying to give Uber a bad rep. Cab co.do all sorts of lame tricks even hire people to write bogus reviews and complaints instead of improving their product.

Uber Technologies partner

Uber lies to get people to drive their own personal vehicle for them as taxies incurring all the expenses other taxi companies pay to provide the same services. You will not be reimbursed for fuel, maintenance, wear and tare depreciation of your vehicle and any other expenses to drive for Uber. They say you will make $45.00 an hour. This statement is false. After taxes, fees, fuel, vehicle expenses, tolls you will be lucky if you take home minimum wage. Then you start to realize you are being lied to about special offers to provide services on a specific date for a set amount of time for which you will be paid a large flat amount of 30- 40- 50 dollars an hour and you do provide the required services but uber refuses to pay claiming you didn't meet one of their set criteria's even though you had. You begin to realize Uber is unjustly enriching them selves at your hard work and expense.

After I had agreed twice on two separate occasions to drive during a requested period for which I would receive hourly compensation unless I earned above the amount, both times I didn't get the pay. The reason changed three different times after I could provide evidence that I did in fact meet the obligation. The final reason stated that I would not receive the pay due to my failing to maintain a high enough rating from those I served. The rating system is computer controlled by Uber who can change the rating to appear as though you failed to provide a good enough service and therefore not pay for the services received. This is outright fraud. So after I complained the first time I all of a sudden received a suspension from Uber who stated I had a complaint that I appeared to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. I was suspended from driving for three days before I was allowed to drive again which cost me a loss of earnings. The claim which was made by a rider who was upset that I went to the wrong apartment complex even though I stopped the meter half way through the trip upon realizing the error and adjusted the overall cost by entering the correct beginning address and ending address which calculates the correct fee for the ride. The rider stated she shouldn't be charged anything and was going to report me to uber. As I stated to uber and the only reason I was reinstated was because I had completed numerous trips before the report and no other riders had stated I appeared to be under the influence. The exact same thing happened two months later in a another city, I was suspended because a rider claimed I appeared to be under the influence again. This occurred after my filing the second complaint for money not paid to me. This time like the first I had many riders before the complaint and as such no other complaints but I was still not allowed to drive for almost a week.

After driving for more than 5 months in two major cities and two small rural town and completing over 1, 000 trips I have no moving violations and the two tickets I received, one for parking in a taxi designated area when the city ordinance declared I was to be considered a Taxi, and second was for failure to obey a traffic control device when I entered a road closed to get to a gas station as I was running out of gas. Both were dismissed by the courts. However Uber has given me a permanent suspension claiming my driving has been reported numerous times as being unsafe..

Just like the rating system there is no way to verify the information and I must take ubers word for it. I question the numerous times claim because no one ever notified me that I was receiving these reports and if it was happening surly the 4.41 rating out of a possible 5 when averaged over 1000 riders and 4 months does not reflect numerous complaints.

So beware if you want to drive for uber thinking you will make a lot of money. Take it from an expert you will barley make minimum wage and with all the hassles it really isn't worth it. And if you get terminated you cant even file for unemployment.

The only valid point is the rating system is flawed and suspect at best.
Did Uber say they would reimburse fuel or anything else at hire. I knew and was clearly informed prior to driving on platform. I am sorry you were suspended but first you said after everything from fuel to your tanning saloon membership you did not make anything but now you lost by not working. you have legit gripe but don’t imbelish and use incidiary speech.

Uber Technologies drunk driver

Me and my friend were shopping and bought a lot of things, so we decided to take a taxi because we had these really heavy bags. My friend told that she always wanted to try Uber, because it was a very popular service and she wanted to try it herself. I agreed and we ordered a car. When our car showed up we noticed something strange about the driver and then we felt that terrible alcohol smell! That man was very drunk and could not say a word! We refused to drive anywhere with him and escaped from him. We did not want to risk our lives.

Yes for premium service use taxi by all means. No cabbie has ever drank even a sip of booze, never committed a crime, and is always transparent with pricing. When cabbies are not busy picking up fares for people of all race and economic status they are vigorously cleaning the cab and finding ways to evolve and improve the cab industry.
Nice try, but who really wrote this story? Did you really escape the awful oder and the iron clutchs of the driver. If so I am sure you called the police and emailed Uber as that would be the thing to do.

Uber Technologies worst company!

I had some problems with their Uber driver, contacted the company to complain but they doesn't seem to care. I explained the situation and the person on the phone promised me a refund, but I never received anything. I sent them some messages, but received no reply. I missed a flight because of the complete incompetence of their driver, who didn't even speak English and went to the airport for the first time in his life! That person did not even know the difference between Arrivals and Departures at the airport! I had to spend extra money for the hotel and getting to the airport in the morning. Completely ridiculous! And now these people are ignoring me and don't want to do anything!

Also I enjoy writing plausible complaints with vauge details and casting blame far from me and onto a multinational company. they better give me a hug and teach me how to be alive

well maybe if you got to the airport two hours before your flight was due to depart it would not be an issue. But I guess this isn't the first time you missed a flight of some other important event due to not giving yourself appropriate time in advance. Some people live life on the edge always racing from one thing to the next. Then there are those who prepare, plan, and provide themselves with more than enough advanced leeway to always make their flight even if their driver speaks little English and doesn't know the difference between arrivals and departures.

Uber Technologies uber drivers

I often use Uber service and must say that their drivers are not following the laws of the road. More than once I've had to witness that. They sometimes are driving on areas not mean for cars and even on bicycle lanes. Also there was a driver which was on a side street at a stop sign but made an inappropriate gesture with his hand and halted traffic moving along a busy road so that he could cross over! Uber drivers are rude and dangerous. It is actually unsafe! Why these people are allowed to engage in such a profession? It is really dangerous! Maybe they are thinking that they are providing faster service, but I think that most of us prefers safer service, not faster. I would rather be alive and healthy. Uber must do something about it. They should be ashamed.

Uber drivers are not unsafe. there are drivers on the uber app that are unsafe. they were unsafe before and will continue to be the rest of their lives. i hate to let you down Polly Anna but there are bad people in the world. some are driving ride shsre some are cops, teachers. astronauts and yelpers

Uber Technologies awful service

My sister decided to try Uber. She was returning from a trip and needed a ride home. When she asked the driver about the price, she was told it would cost $40. But she was actually charged $150! It was 2 am, it was cold and it was raining, so she paid because there were no other options. But she never expected it to cost so much. She was very tired and desperate, so she gave them all her money. I have used uber in the past as well and I also had some problems with them. Needless to say, I will no longer continue to use their service! It was my fault too. I knew that Uber should not be trusted, but never told anyone about that.

first of all the driver takes no money so there is no way your sister could have given him all her money. Second if the bill submitted for payment to her credit card appeared to be fraudulent then she could have disputed it with the credit card company and received her money back pending an investigation. Third Uber if notified will address the complaint and adjust the fare to the amount first stated. It is always possible that the driver did not end the trip at the correct place and she was charged for time and mileage she did not use.

Uber Technologies never use uber!

I had been using uber for months and was always satisfied with their service. One day I wanted to request a ride home. So I ubered, but got an error message stating my card was invalid. I contacted customer support, but their representatives had some serious problems with English. They assured me the problem will be fixed, but even 2 weeks later they didn't fix anything. A friend of mine used to work for Uber, but he quit the job because he never got paid. They're not even good to their employees! Horrible company!

Uber Technologies no discount!

Don't use Uber. Uber invited me and gave me a $25 discount on my first ride. Before booking a taxi I checked my account and it showed that discount was applied. I also used a code for a $15 discount. So, I decided to use Uber and took my first ride from Airport. But the fare was $60! They promised me $25, but actual discount was only $5. They gave me UberXL, but I ordered an UberX. My wife used Uber few days earlier and her fare was much cheaper! I tried to contact uber to straighten this out. I have even sent pictures of the $15 code and told them about the $25 discount. Do not trust Uber. The driver was pretty nice, and the car was comfortable, but they lied about the prices. That's why I'm so upset.

Uber Technologies I am sick of the way to treat their customers!

I am done with this company! A week ago I called for a car, it supposed to arrive within five minutes. But I was waiting for about 30 minutes. I called the driver many times, but there was no response. After 30 minutes of waiting I contacted him again and he finally answered. I was told that my ride was cancelled. The driver also charged me a $20 fee! It was he who cancelled my ride, so why should I pay for no service? I ended up catching a taxi, because I was very late for important meeting. The worst part is that uber does not have a customer service number to call. Later I emailed uber complaining about what happened earlier. There was no response, so I sent them another message demanding a full refund! Then all of a sudden uber banned my account. The only email I got from the stated that they need a copy of my credit card. I am sick of the way to treat their customers!
