I bought a truck from United Nissan Reno and they said they would give me the missing parts and a service manual when they delivered it
I bought a truck from United Nissan Reno and they said they would give me the missing parts and a service manual when they delivered it. But when it arrived, those things were not there and they didn't even bother to order them for me. Jeffrey M, the General Sales Manager, told me to order them myself and said I would get my money back right away. So I went ahead and ordered the missing stuff, but I never got reimbursed. I just want my $852.22 back like Jeffrey M said I would.
My car was makin' a weird noise when I was drivin'
My car was makin' a weird noise when I was drivin'. I took it to Nissan and they said it was the transmission makin' the noise and it needed to be replaced for $5400. So I paid that amount and they replaced the transmission, but the car still makes the same noise. Now Nissan is tellin' me I can't safely drive the car and I gotta pay an extra $10,000 for a transfer case, which they never told me about before. So far, Nissan has charged me almost $6,000 and now my car ain't safe to drive. They won't admit that this is unethical and none of the managers wanna help me right now.
Acquired a truck with my dad on finance from Nissan, encountered issues
My dad and I financed a truck from Nissan. He co-signed, and as an 18-year-old, I found the payments steep. We traded it in at Nissan, putting down $2,000 on a new agreement. They assured us the deal was set, but later claimed they undervalued our trade-in and demanded $14,000 more, despite their initial confirmation.

I sent a letter to Nissan of Reno, askin' 'em 'bout what went down on November 22nd
I sent a letter to Nissan of Reno, askin' 'em 'bout what went down on November 22nd. Me and my bro went there so I could co-sign his truck purchase. But dang, Nissan of Reno never bothered callin' me back or takin' the time to answer my letter. Now here's the real kicker, my identity got stolen on that same day, November 22. Ever since then, my life's been a total nightmare, like a whole new world of trouble. I'm just the guarantor for this loan, ya know? So I wanna see all the contracts and documents with my signature to make sure they're legit. And I need a record of all them calls made to Nissan of Reno, pretendin' to be me. I'm gonna report this to ComplaintsBoard.com and the Federal Reserve, already started a case with 'em. And I ain't stoppin' there, gonna file a complaint with the Nevada Senator's office and the Attorney General's Office too. I need y'all to work with me on this. Who did Nissan give my info to, huh?
I'm givin 1 star cuz of a problem after the sale
I'm givin 1 star cuz of a problem after the sale. My salesperson (Eric H) is 5 stars tho. He wasn't pushy and listened to my needs and kept in touch with me before I picked a car. The 1 star is cuz there was hidden damage (scratches) on the right side of the car. I thought someone scratched my car within 3 weeks of gettin it. So, I made a claim with my insurance company. I found a body shop, took the car in, and the estimator asked if I painted the scratches. I said no, no reason for me to do that when I could have it fixed properly. He said it was damage that was already there and the dealer covered it up, so some unsuspecting person would buy the car. So, I go back to the dealer where I bought (2) new cars in the past 6 years. They come out with me to look at it and say "there ain't no paint there and that happened after you bought the car." The sales manager then goes to someone above him, comes back 2 minutes later and says
Me and my mom bought a used 2012 Nissan Juke from Nissan of Reno, now called United Nissan of Reno
Me and my mom bought a used 2012 Nissan Juke from Nissan of Reno, now called United Nissan of Reno. These guys are shady. They straight up lied to us about the 7 year 100,000 mile warranty being expired, just so they wouldn't have to do any work. The Carson city location told me it ended in 2020, but United Nissan said it ended over 2 years ago. And to top it off, after getting an oil change on February 12, I drove about 8 miles and all this gross black oil started gushing out of the engine. I was stuck in Sun Valley, Nevada for more than 5 hours waiting for a tow. Their solution? They told me to use my own car insurance to get it towed to their dealership so they could add more oil. They didn't really do anything to make it right, except offer my mom a new air filter for the cabin. But guess what? They conveniently forgot to change it and made my mom come back a second time. The Carson city store even told me they've heard similar stories about these guys before.
We took our car to United Nissan Reno to fix a problem with acceleration
We took our car to United Nissan Reno to fix a problem with acceleration. When we dropped it off, my husband, Andrew Davis, asked them to check the ECM. Nissan said the initial computer diagnosis didn't show any codes, but the next day they called and said we needed a new transmission. We reluctantly agreed, but we also asked if they had checked the ECM, and they said they did. We don't have proof of this inspection, except for their Complementary Multi Point inspection, which we noticed was inaccurate. We know we need new windshield wipers, but they marked them as being in good condition, even though they hop when we use them. We ended up spending $4,274.56 and waiting 2 weeks to get our car back, but the original issue wasn't fixed. We had to bring it back 2 more times, and Nissan kept our car for a total of 31 days. The first 2 times, they said a part in the new transmission was bad and needed to be replaced. This was concerning because the part was brand new, but they assured us it was covered under warranty. Finally, they replaced the ECM, and the car has been fine since we picked it up on Friday, September 4. Before picking it up, I tried to discuss my concerns and request a refund for the difference between the transmission and ECM with Nick V, the executive manager of the dealership. He was resistant to even talk about the possibility that their service department misdiagnosed the issue from the beginning. He also said I was ungrateful in an aggressive tone for the free loaner car they gave us after we asked for it multiple times. I tried to continue the conversation, but Nick kept interrupting me and eventually told me to get a lawyer before hanging up. He was very rude throughout the whole process. We feel like United Nissan Reno took advantage of us, two essential workers during the pandemic, and scammed us by charging us for a part that was more expensive than the final fix. If they had replaced the ECM like we asked in the beginning and the acceleration issue still persisted, we would understand the cost and be willing to pay. But that's not what happened, and we believe that not charging us for a part that wasn't even on the transmission is an admission of faulty diagnostics. We filed a complaint before, but it got closed because we didn't respond quickly enough. According to the ComplaintsBoard.com site, these complaints stay open for about 30 business days. We disagree with Nick V's response from United Nissan Reno. The information he provided about the ECM being checked is not on any of our service tickets prior to the last one. We don't believe they actually checked the ECM like they claim because it's not on the tickets, and their multi-point inspection says the windshield wipers are in good condition when we know they need to be replaced because they hop. This inspection makes us doubt the service technicians even more. We won't be paying anything else since they didn't get our authorization to replace the part in August/September, and they gave us a receipt with no charge.
