Unlimited Vacation Club Unlimited vacation scam!! Don't do it!!

My friend and I went to Dreams Jade in Puerto Moreles, MX on Jun 2-5, 2023 and were convinced to take the 90 min sales pitch so we can get free spa certs. We took the tour and was presented this 'wonderful' sounding vacation club membership where we would only pay $67-114 per person/per night for any of their all inclusive resorts for an unlimited number of weeks along with all these other incentives only to find out after getting home their entire sales pitch was a bunch of strategically worded LIES.. We were NEVER told that this membership was merely just a 25% discount off their published rates and were led to believe that we had fixed prices as vacation club members and that only if we traveled on holidays like Christmas would we be subjected to higher rates of around $300, which we were also made to believe were fixed rates. WHen you look online through thier site, it's like finding a needle in a haystack to find a rate under $100 pp/per night. Everything was like $300-400/night minimum. I can find better rates online on my own, for free.

During the contract signing the sales manager Luis quickly summarized each of the 65 pages as he had you initial it, quickly passing over each section so fast you barely get a chance to skim over it. Whenever I caught a potential discrepancy in what were told (specifically the flyback program) he would go to the back like a car salesman and then come back with the contract like he got special approval and would move forward.

One of the things were promised w/the flyback program was that we would get $500 each/per yr reimbursed once activated. When I questioned the price of $1795 or something like that on the contract he went back to his sales team and came back saying that we could get it for 2yrs instead of 10, and only pay a $99 activation fee instead of the almost $1800 and that we would could wait until next yr to activate it b/c we were already financing part of the down payment for the first 6 months. Once back home, we received a call from flyback who advised it none of this was the case. It was $500 once/per yr, for 10yrs, and there was no $99... it was the almost $1800 activation fee.

They kept us there so long and kept telling us we had to re-sign the contract, even meeting us over at the pool later that day to re-sign the contract on their ipad for like the 4th or 5th time that day. At this point I'm convinced they switched contracts on us b/c by the end we weren't even looking anymore b/c we had repeatedly signed all 65 pages over and over.

As soon as we realized what happened we reach out to cancel. we have been getting the run around from different departments pointing the finger at another phone # or department we have to call and basically telling us that they will call us when they call us.

Today I managed to speak with the QA dept in which I was told yesterday I couldn't get a phone number to by the call center rep, only to be given it today by another rep. When I called there I was told I need to call the sales center at the resort we bought from. IF I had been told this from the beginning I would have started there. But they keep sending you in circles to further delay the cancelation process and screw you out of any chance of getting anything back.

I finally got spoke w/someone today who said they will process the cancelation but refuses to refund us our down payment. I have gone back and forth with her and I'm fed up. I have canceled my credit cards and disputed the down payment charge on my credit card and my friend is doing the same w/her card. BUT I want it refunded through the resort directly!

This company is a complete scam and looking at the negative review and complaints, others were given the same lies we were.

Desired outcome: We want our down payment completely refunded to our credit cards and this cancelation finalized ASAP.

@UnlimitedVacationClub - I emailed you guys at that email address yesterday and it was NO help. All you do is tell me someone will contact me. I spoke w/Adriana today via WhatsApp who refused to give me a refund and instead tried to convince me to keep it for an even 'lower' price. And that was after the sales rep from the resort texted me to try and do the same earlier today, trying to scare me into keeping it under the guise of 'trying to help' so I don't lose my money. The only help I want and need is to get a 100% refund on my down payment. I'm sick of hearing about how by law you only have give us a refund within 5 days. Well by law, you CANNOT lie to customers. So you already broke the law by misleading myself along with many other victims of your scam, so how about doing the right thing and issuing me a refund. You can start by looking through your inbox for my email from yesterday and respond to that with an appropriate resolution. I'm about to go on every single social media site, every travel and complain forum, the BBB and blast how big of a scam this company is to anyone and everyone that will listen.

Unlimited Vacation Club Sales tactics, scammed by salesperson after joining the club.

We joined in December 2022 at the Secrets Resort in Huatulco. We got along very well with the salesman, and he contacted us in late December after we returned home.

He told us that he had a certificate that was used by employees at the club for a one-week all-inclusive vacation for two for $500. He stated that he would not be able to use it, but he could transfer it to us for the cost ($500). We trusted him and wired him the money from my wife's sister's bank in Mexico.

We kept in touch with him and he would answer our calls. At first, he said there were problems getting it approved.

After, he said that they wouldn't approve it for members and that he would refund our money. Months passed and he kept coming up with excuses like he was laid off, that he was waiting on commission checks and would pay us back after getting that money.

After 6 months of false promises, I called the Huatulco Secrets and told them about it, but they couldn't do anything since he no longer worked there. I told them they shouldn't hire dishonest salespeople and all they did was apologize.

It's hard to trust a company that would employ these types of individuals and these timeshare deals are mostly ripoffs anyway, so stay away from this company and the other companies, whether they are in Mexico, the USA, or any other company. They are not worth it!

Desired outcome: I would like a full refund of my membership, but I would accept some kind of voucher/deal if we reserve a week in one of their resorts in the future.

Unlimited Vacation Club Misleading and lies - falsified promises

On October 17th, 2022, my friend and i, signed a contract with your institution (Unlimited Vacation club at Riviera Maya at the dreams hotel) on verbal conditions issued by your agent Asiah whose phone number is +[protected] and his manager. Conditions that were read by a person from your legal department who promised us that all the verbal conditions were the same ones mentioned in the written contract. We signed an electronic document of about 5 pages. This employee had mentioned that we will be entitled to this document a few days later, so we waited. Among the conditions mentioned, there was promises of 4 weeks of initial vacation in an all-inclusive hotel except countries where Hyatt hotels are not; Guarantee that on your platform we will find the best travel ticket promotions; assistance by an employee to answer our questions; the right to cancel at any time. So many promises that turned out to be false.

Month later, after trying to discuss to the agent who sold us the package, we have decided to spoke to another departmen which informed us that we had only 3 weeks instead of 4 weeks. After many discussions, they finally sent sent us the contract in which it is mentioned that we can cancel our contract only 1 to 5 days after signing. First, you sent us this contract dated February 09, 2023 which is 5 months later when we mentioned to your employee that we wanted to cancel our contract because we realized that you were selling false promises. Secondly, the first electronic contract that you had us sign on October 17th, 2022 is different from the one received by email. Thirdly, the online contract on your website also does not match the one you sent us because you included abusive clauses in response to all the complaints against you, where customers mentioned that your employees made them sign this contract under manipulation and under the influence of alcohol consumption. Which is true, because we have experienced it ourselves, you gave us alcohol before signing the contract.

The promises of assistance are false because your agent Asiah failed to assist us, same for many agents we spoke to. They chose to ignore our messages when we insisted on getting answers. The calls we received from your employees were to pressure us to pay and purchase other packages. Your employee Sabrina +[protected] line 22656 was pressuring us to buy other packages.

In your contract it is mentioned that this is not a business opportunity and we are not allowed to sell our package. However, a manager from your company offered to sell our contract (malicious-intentioned on your part) to another person who would want it. This goes against our moral values. Why would we want to get rid of a malicious contract and sell it to someone else?

After checking the promotions on your website, we found that you do not guarantee better promotions as you promised. In fact, your packages are more expensive than other websites. For example, a trip to Hawaii with the same criteria (date, airport, etc.) costs more on your site than elsewhere.

In summary, you violated the principles of your own contract because first, the verbal contract does not correspond to what is written in the paper contract. Secondly, you put our signature on all the pages while you did not give us access to this document. Thirdly, in the contract it is mentioned that we should have immediate access to the contract, while you sent us the contract after the 5 days deadline, i.e. on February 09, 2023; which means that we did not have access to the document to see the abusive clauses. Fourthly, in the contract it is mentioned that we should not trust your employees and that we should only rely on the contract. If you employ people to represent you and you know that they are not credible; if the clauses of the contract tell exactly what your employees are doing wrong and you have not taken steps to prevent it, it means that you are condoning these malicious practices and you are an accomplice.

In addition to the reasons mentioned why we would like to cancel the contract, we have done research on your company that proves that you have had the same behavior with other buyers. People we don't know have understood and signed for the same verbal promises from your agents. Don't you find this suspicious?

Desired outcome: I need a refund.

Hi,

I couldn't wait to update this case. So, I've sent you a message with the information requested and you send me a message to let me know an agent will contact me.

Indeed an agent called me this morning(see image). The so-called agent called to threaten me with a lawsuit if I didn't drop this case because he said they had to reimburse the lender who had financed my contract. Let me tell you, "PLEASE SUE ME."

The last time I had spoken to an agent, I had asked him to send me proof that UCV had sent me the contract on time, since then I have not heard from him again until my message.

I'm not the only one you're trying to scam. The agent told me I wouldn't have any money to support this lawsuit. I repeat, sue me because that's what I want from you or else refund me because you've lied to lots of other people like me. So, threatening someone is your way of dissuading them from making a claim? or it's your way of finding a settlement? Shame on you. I'm going to pursue my claims to the end. You promised 4 weeks verbally, you show us in the contract that there are 4 weeks and when we receive the contract months later, there are 3 weeks. We ask you for a refund and you threaten us?

Unlimited Vacation Club False promises, refusal to cancel, threats

Brought a membership under the ruse of getting free nights for me and my family. Was told i could cancel at anytime for free and they are a good business.

I Activated the gifts and then they said after payment, that instead of 4 nights , it's only for 2 nights and then got an attitude with me. I requested to cancel and the member got rude with me and stated I would have to pay 50% and hung up the phone when I refused to pay and asked to speak to a supervisor. Totally horrible service.

Desired outcome: Cancel my membership and give me a refund. I don't need to be a part of any business that would treat members so harsh.

You notified me that you were changing agents due to the last one being rude, disrespectful, then hanging up the phone. Instead he contacted me again and insulted me, and threatened me that if I did not work with him, who ever you gave me, it would go right back to his desk. I was promised a cancellation at any time without charge if I did not use any of your services. I did not, so I want to cancel and a refund of my deposit now. I want this over with.

Unlimited Vacation Club We want the stay we paid for! I don't even want the money back

We visited Secrets Cancun. We went to a 1 hour and a half long presentation which was too long, to begin with. With a reservation, we signed up for the club. We enjoyed our stay so much at Secrets we were committed to only using them for our vacation journey. We did the whole pre-pay to get in. Us being Hilton honors and Marriott reward members I thought it was odd but again we enjoyed ourselves at Secrets. We knew our next destination would be Jamacia. To us, this was a good deal to lock in lower pricing. Well, we booked our trip to Jamacia. There was a tropical storm warning/watch on the day of departure. Not knowing what to do because we didn't want to get caught in the storm we canceled our flights and Southwest sent us a notice of the storm. Informed the hotel of the problem. All pre-paid funds we lost. No refund and No apology due to the cancellation policy. I understand entirely cancellations but they just took our money. The point of joining the club was all the benefits. As I mentioned we are rapid reward members with other travel companies. All make concessions. Southwest refunded our money because of the issue. We didn't even want a refund we just wish for our stay. This was for my wife's birthday! So not only did we not get our trip we lost money. Double loss! Horrible customer service Horrible business!

Unlimited Vacation Club Stay at one of there resorts

Unlimited vacation club member Michael Meeink NLX-001564

I and my Wife went on an all-inclusive to Cozumel Mexico staying at secrets May 6 thru the 11 2023

With the exception of the ULV support staff working there, this had to be the worst secrets all-inclusive vacation resort we have ever had the displeasure to stay at.

1. The A/C unit is our room was broken. I had to call maintenance 6 times to make repairs and the unit was never fixed by the time we left. The unit leaked condensations all over the floor each and every day making it a dangerous slip hazard. Each time that I notified the front desk they never though that this was a big issue. After the 2nd time reporting the problem I requested they move us to a different room and they responded with a “we are unable to accommodate that request” They was one time that maintenance never bothered to show up to fix the unit. I am not sure why housekeeping never reported the issue (beyond belief) Oh I have pictures of myself having to assist the maintenance folks when making the A/C repairs along with supping up all the water with Room and Pool Towels

2. Food service in all location with the exception of the market place was far from being exceptional and or even average. Wait staff seem to really dislike their positions/jobs. We felt as if we the customer was an inconvenience for them to be serving us meals.

3. The pool bar (not the one for the preferred guest) served me a dirty martini that had NO Vodka in it. When I asked to see the label of the product he used he refused, I waited for another bar staff person to arrive and asked that individual to see the bottle. THERE was No label. I ask other folks who just got done dinner with me to taste the drink, they all confirmed that there was no alcohol used to make the drink. All you could taste was olive juice.

4. At the same pool different day I reported to the Bar keep that there was a pool light hanging off inside the pool, hanging by just the wires. I ask that he call maintenance. Never happened. I was at the pool all day and no one ever showed to make repairs.

5. Sitting at any of the on-sight pools (secrets or Sun Scape) there was NO pool side drink service. There was No service while seating down by the beach either.

6. I spoke to a guest who was staying at Dreams, their vacation experience at that location was just as bad as ours.

7. At any of the Bar locations if you wanted a cocktail, water and or soda you waited in long lines as there was one bar keep to serve guest in line and all restaurant orders

8. I went in to the preferred customer check-in location at secrets to make a SPA reservation. Both the ladies in this building were very lazy and rude. Again they made me feel like I was an inconvenience to them for showing up asking questions about what the SPA had to offer and or their pricing. Here is how they (did not help me) She Gave me one of their PDA’s and said scroll through and see for yourself.

NOTE *Again I want to make clear that we were very pleased with the UVC sales staff, Agnes and the SPA person over at Sun Scape resort. All were very very helpful and accommodating. *

This was NOT what we have experienced at other Secret resort location. This was NOT a relaxing, enjoyable vacation as advertised on your web-site. This place sucked. I recommend that you let people know that this is more like one of you 1 star vacation resort.

Very respectfully, two unsatisfied customers, UVC members and clients

Mike and Kath Meeink

Unlimited Vacation Club Entire contrac is a lie!

We signed up with UVC last Fall when visiting a resort in Mexico. Everything we were promised is a lie. We were told no blackout dates, and then when we wanted to vacation in December we couldn't use free nights due to blackout dates. We were told we had free nights available to use ASAP, but then when we go to use them, we have to use two for one at the resorts and still pay for upgrades. We purchased the highest level club membership, giving us the best rooms, and when we check into hotel, we have to pay for upgrade to nicer rooms?! This is beyond frustrating. We pay $1,000 a month to be a part of this club, and have never paid more for vacations to Mexico. Promised two weeks a year at the Registry collection, yet every single one we have tried to book is always sold out.

Desired outcome: Cancel contract and stop paying.

Unlimited Vacation Club Vacation package using RCI

On February this year, we visited UVC secrets resort in Cancun. We accepted to be in the presentation and soon we realized this plan was not the plan we were looking for since we did not care too much about all inclusive hotels, which UVC was trying to sell us. They were so persistent that we should have realized that it was too good to be true; later they realized that we travel frequently and started offering RCI as the solution for our request; After 5 hours of pressure, they convinced us to get this membership by showing the RCI's s book and website with all kind of great deals; they promised we were able to use the 40 weeks offered by UVC with RCI for ~$280 per each week. When finally we received the RCI membership after 60 days, we spent 3 weeks trying to make reservations in different places, but RCI was not as good as they told us; many times we called to UVC and they insisted that we were able to use those 80 weeks, however RCI was telling us we were able to use only 1 week and only in certain hotels and at very expensive prices. In one of the calls, UVC told us RCI is an independent business and UVC is not responsible for whatever RCI does or says; which is very different than the information they gave us when we signed the contract. We were so disappointed that we called UVC to cancel that membership because we feel that there is not benefit on using it. After several weeks of talking to voice mails and some UVC people, finally Quality Control called us and told us we can't leave this contract, and we have to pay otherwise we will be suit and charged 9% for unpaid bills, and they said that their lawyers never lose because they are very well protected by the laws of Panama. They called us several times and finally they offered to sign a new contract where we have to pay $170 per 3 years with 0% interest to be out of the contract but we need to sign it by Friday (Today is Tuesday night). I feel that this is so unethical that even if they know we are extremely disappointed for this poor service, their only concern is to make us pay for trusting on unscrupulous salesman. THIS IS A RIP-OFF AND I WIL BE PROMULGATING IT TO EVERYBODY AND EVERYWHERE IF I HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS

Unlimited Vacation Club Membership

I was a member of this company since 2013, unbeknownst to me my automatic payments weren't coming out. When I called them to rectify the situation, mind you they did not call me to tell me I was in default I called them to see why my payments were not coming out. They told me that my account was a few months behind and was scheduled to go to collections instead of letting me restart my automatic payment, and may payments to keep my account. I have never used this and I feel like they are a scam.

Desired outcome: Give me back my money

Purchased membership on 5-2-2023. Tried to cancel on day 5 but was locked out of access to the contract. Don't even know who to call. Only have a worksheet they gave us. Planning to see attorney when I get back in the United States. We were not even told about the five day period in Mexico. Fernanda was the person that made the initial presentation. The Asian man that negotiated with us did not even give his name

Unlimited Vacation Club UVC membership

UVC conned my parents out of $20,000 plus $6k for the RCI when they were in Costa Rica. This happened the month before covid lockdowns started in the US in February 2020. Many of their “free perks” expired during covid with no extension or communication. We are now having issues redeeming any of the remaining perks. Their site is difficult to use and is incredibly manual to search for prices and flexible dates. I have made 3-4 phone calls of 30-90min each to get them to explain the contract details and have received different information each time. Even after explicitly asking for various constraints for booking, I wasn’t given all the information. And new rules and limitations pop up when I call. They are rigid, harsh, and unhelpful. They are supposed to be travel agents but cannot actually help you find good pricing or deals. They keep saying “this is the contract that you signed,” but I believe they were verbally told different info than in the contract and key details were not discussed and then urged to sign with no proper review time. It’s incredibly shady and they do not put their customers first. Burying important details in fine print within a contract is so unethical. They take advantage of people and will do nothing to make amends or own up to their terrible practices.

Desired outcome: I’d like a complete refund for my parents since they are now around $28k in and have yet to be able to use it after over 3 years. I would appreciate a response at the very least.

Unlimited Vacation Club Wanting a refund

My husband and I were in Cozumel Mexico at the Secrets Aura Resort, April 24-27th, where we signed a contract ([edited]) for their vacation club for 10,117.00. We gave a deposit of 5058.50. Once we returned home and studied in detail, the contract doesn't suit us being as were 68 yrs old and the contract was for 15yrs. and there were too many different fees. So on May 3rd we contacted member service to cancel our contract, the gentlemen by the name of Jose said we would receive a call from an agent in Quality Assurance in 24 to 48 hrs. We received a call from the agent, we explained to her our situation to cancel our contract and she said unfortunately no refund applies and all benefits are lost. We never used any of the benefits, it was less than a week we notified them. She also said we could transfer the membership, but that wasn't an option for us. I also asked her if we could at least receive the $799 we paid for closing cost, her response was

It is NOT refundable. At this point we would like to receive all of our money back.

5058.50+799.00=5857.50. We weren't in default. This is a voluntary termination. She wasn't being professional at this point. Today is May 8th and we haven't heard anything else from about the cancellation

Thank you,

[protected]@aol.com

Desired outcome: Refund in the amount of $5857.50

Unlimited Vacation Club Unethical promises and scams to get membership

I went to breathless cancun soul resort with 3 other family members on March 2023 and was treated great. So we were offered a membership and was guaranteed 2 certificates for us 4 for 3 days, 2 nights at the same hotel as part of going to the interview which was suppose to be 45 mins but lasted 3.5hrs. They stated after we activated it, we would have to wait 30 days to book but as soon as I paid to activate them, I was notified that we were good to go but they changed the time frame to 90 days instead of 30. When i called back to schedule and use the certificate, they changed and said it would only allow 1 day 1 night per certificate. I spoke to the representative and they stated I was misinformed and this is crazy. I just started this and paid thousands to be lied to from the beginning just to have no solution.

Desired outcome: Fix the agreement that was told or cancel my membership and refund me my money.

Unlimited Vacation Club Promises of a lifetime of unlimited benefits-unethical behavior

Unlimited vacation club, Reference [edited]. 9450 Sunset Dr Miami, Florida 33173. PH # [protected], [protected], [protected]. On Feb 27, 2023, my wife and I enjoyed our vacation Dreams Tulum Resort and spa, unfortunately during our vacation allowed myself to buy into a scam. I'm very frustrated and disappointed that I allowed myself to be deceived into making the worst financial decision I have ever made to join the Unlimited Vacation Club. Only 10,900. Promises of a lifetime of unlimited benefits. Weeks vacations for 299. at beautiful resorts. Big discounts, money back guaranteed satisfaction, the promises go on and on. I was told of all the benefits of the White Pearl Certificate, exchange weeks, Yachts Membership retail value 10,000. RCI luxury vacations at the most popular vacation spots. Far exceeds the benefits of a time share. All a bunch of baloney. Discount transportation that actually cost two times as much as quality transportation offered by other companies. I tried very hard to use this benefit. They are all structured to deceive you of more money. Very complicated to implement. They presented themselves as a part of World of Hyatt. Which we trusted as we know and trust Hyatt. They lied to us, they offered 1000.00 dollars rewards money, so we decided to book a cruise with the reward credit, but they said that only will get 10% of that 1000. for the cruises. They said that they give us 4 weeks all-inclusive with RCI 299. a week. This was big lie. It's 299. for lodging only. Food, Drinks, fees and taxes are extra. After I call, I can't use these credits on any hotels all-inclusive in Mexico. World of Hyatt Unlimited Vacation Club doesn't have physical addresses on any of their websites or literature and that they make it impossible to cancel the contract. We call unlimited Vacation Club with this complain and they refer Us to Everly Gonzalez said UVC Global Panama S. DE R.L. is base Panama Company #[protected], Controlling company Hyatt Hotel Corp.

Desired outcome: cancel contract.

Unlimited Vacation Club Promised to offer you benefits - unethical behaviour

We purchased a silver membership last year. In April of 2023 we were approached by the local sales team advising us of a supposed email that was sent to us to honour past prices for high membership categories. They indicated that the resorts were running out of lower category rooms and the only solution available was to provide current members the opportunity to upgraded rooms. They showed us "pictures" of what higher category rooms would cost us telling us they would be the equivalent of the rooms available now. When asked them to show us live inventory they indicated they didn't have that availability because in the past staff were inadvertently booking rooms, this should have been a red flag. After signing the contract and getting access to the site we realized how they misrepresented the information.

Within the 5 days as specified in the contract and email was sent to Unlimited Vacation Club with a copy of the recently signed contract requesting cancellation. After calling their service center they indicated someone would be in contact. Eblyn González (which appears to be a contact referenced in various complaints) contacted us indicating that since their system did not register the email there is nothing they can do. After threatening legal action she sent an email the next day saying their legal team can draft a new contract with a reduced price.

We do not want a reduced price we want to go back to the original membership or have it all be cancelled. There are various complaints and word spreading about the unfortunate experience in these resorts and with local sales tactics. This should not be acceptable and World of Hyatt should be made aware of the local tactic employed to scam tourists.

Please assist.

Unlimited Vacation Club Vacation package is a scam

This company is a scam. Soooooo many hidden fees n all lies. On February 21st we were fed a nice meal and plenty of alcohol. We were lied to and scammed into a 15k vacation package. All the hidden lies that were in my contract when I received it, were not any of the stuff I was told. I tri3d numerous times to call and cancel. Then a man name Carlos called me n told me it was 7k to cancel. That's another lie. I never defaulted any payments. I have the legal right to cancel. I never used any of the lies/benefits that I was told. I have already reported this to the Better Business Bureau. They are well aware of the scams from this company. I've reported my credit cards and no longer have those accounts. I want my full refund of $6114.00

Desired outcome: Cancel n refund in full

Unlimited Vacation Club Vacation club membership

Facetious and misleading.

I am speaking on behalf of my elderly folks. To keep this short these complaints are all so similar. My folks were vacationing at secrets Puerto los cabos in 2019/2020. With in 20 minutes of arriving they had sales people feeding them high end booze, getting them intoxicated and selling them on broken promises about this membership. They paid roughly 10k upfront and were making monthly payments after they returned home from their trip. Covid hit a short time after and they were not able to leave the country or travel for over 2 years. They do not owe UVC any money as they paid over 10k upfront. They were not told about all the hidden fees in the original sales pitch or that membership fees will increase yearly for the remainder of the membership. Since they have not been able to use the membership due to travel restrictions coupled with the lies and misleading information provided they no longer want to be members. They have been harassed with phone calls and emails and threats that if they do not continue paying for a membership they cant even use that they will be sent to collections and their credit ruined.

This is not how you do business as I am a business owner myself. We see no other means then to seek out legal council against UVC. Can anyone help with this.

Unlimited Vacation Club Sales pitch & harassment

My partner and I visited the Dreams resort in Curacao today (Mon 3 Apr 23) to receive a tour and hear about the UVC. Our guide, Dyon, was new but very sweet. The tour and breakfast were great, but the numbers didn't add up for us in his pitch, so we asked a lot of questions. He asked if we saw the value of the offer and we said honestly, no. He'd only shown us that you could receive a discount, but he wasn't disclosing how much the discount would cost. To us, the value can only be confirmed if the discount is greater than the cost, so we were missing half the equation. He asked if we'd prefer to leave since we didn't see the value. We said yes. Everything was civil until his manager, Christopher, came by and asked again (with a strong tone) if we saw the value. We said no. He said, "oh so you don't trust us?" He was more aggressive at this point. Then we said, "of course not. Who trusts salespeople?" Then Christopher (clearly angry by this point) said that we wasted their time (this is a completely different angle than the claimed 'no pressure' pitch at the beginning) and that all we had to do was sit and listen to the presentation (as if we had a job to do). Eventually he said, "well you can leave and never come back because you can be very rude with a smile on your face." We left happily because that's what we wanted to begin with. When we were waiting for our taxi, he came back to berate us again and told us we should never come back again. His conduct was extremely unprofessional. I can understand him losing it once, but to return and lose it again was very low. I wouldn't want this person working for my company. We actually might have been interested in the product if we were shown it's worth. But instead Christopher wasted our vacation time and ruined our day.

Desired outcome: Reprimand against Christopher

Unlimited Vacation Club Cruise rewards and did not honor 25% discount on competitor's prices.

My wife and I signed up for the unlimited vacation club in January 2023 on our honeymoon under the following promises:

$500 off of 2 cruises (1 per year)

A 7 night all-inclusive stay at one of the Unlimited vacation club resorts

RCI stays at $299 x 7 days each

25% price match guaranteed reduction anytime a competitor's prices are lower than the unlimited vacation club prices.

My wife and I went to book a cruise and the cruise rewards of $500 for graded based on how much you were spending on the cruise, so the guaranteed $500 off now didn't apply, as we were only going to get $140 off of the cruise we found.

So we kept looking. We then found an Alaskan cruise through Holland America that was 7 nights and was $1,758 for the inside stateroom through Holland America's website on 04/02/2023. We called unlimited vacation club to tell them that the price on unlimited vacation club website was $2,598.00. The unlimited vacation club price even with the $500 reward was still $2,098.00. This is for the same cruise and same room. We talked to a representative from Unlimited Vacation club for over 55 minutes on the phone claiming we were likely getting a group discount or a member discount through Holland America. We are not Holland America members nor were we getting a group discount. The representative originally said they could not offer this price or the 25% discounted price. After bringing up that Exhibit B in our contract letter b. under "Price Match" outlining that

"Member must inform to the Members Services and Reservations Center of the Acceptable rate when making the reservation. Mediator is obligated to honor the 25% (twenty-five percent) discount on the acceptable rate. Members must provide a printed copy of electronic confirmation of the acceptable rate for validation by mediator. This benefit will be applicable on condition that the Acceptable Rate is in effect on the precise date on which Member wishes to make payment for the lodging services; and only if it is for the same room type and category, same Hotel, same dates and same number of children and adults; including taxes and extra charges."

The cruise we chose and per the conversation we had with the representative, it did match the criteria and we provided electronic confirmation that these were the prices offered. After bringing a lawyer into the conversation, the price was now available for $1,406.40 for the cruise, which was discounted from the price offered on Holland America but was not the reduced price of 25% off of the competitor's price, which would have been $1,318.50. With the $500 reward applied to the $1,318.50 would have been $818.50. The representative now said that they provide up to 25% off but as written in the contract it is 25% not UP TO 25%, so the arbitrary price we were offered, the representative could not explain.

Desired outcome: The desired outcome was the promised price of 25% off of the competitor's price with using our cruise rewards of $500 to pay $818.50 for our cruise, as promised in our contract.

Unlimited Vacation Club Complete Scam - Do not buy or use

Ok signed up for these programs and spent a lot to get in. Lifestyles is the biggest joke ever. They have 3 different points/currencies and limit how you can use each to fool you into thinking you have a ton of credits to use. Reality is you still pay approximately what it cost on other sites.

To make it worse they used the pandemic to let points expire while people couldn't travel or at least reduce the amount of time they had. Complete trash company with shady sales people

Desired outcome: Renew my expired points
