Unlimited Vacation Club review: Misrepresentations

We were very skeptical about high pressure sales pitches, prefaced with breakfast champagne. However, after repeated efforts to obtain representations as to what was being offered, and the guarantee of the Hyatt brand, we agreed to a plan that included "unlimited booking of all Hyatt Properties and all inclusive for 5 years." Since we intended to use the Grand Hyatt in Nashville, as well as other Hyatt properties outside of the All-Inclusives, and being assured we would get 25% off those, we agreed.

When we went to book our hotels, both in and out of UVC, things were not as represented. "All Hyatt properties" were not included, and the restrictions on the use of other properties were all not as represented.

We should have known that when we were unable to get copies of the handwritten notes explaining the program, that there was a problem. How big the problem was couldn't be determined until we tried to avail ourselves of what was promised and learned it wasn't true.

We will not require our money back, or for the dozens of hours lost trying to find a way to make this work, but we do want confirmation that our contract was cancelled without further payment and there will be no adverse credit report as a result.
