I planned a vacation at another resort which was horrible and UVC had these excursions available for $60 if you take a tour of the property/resort. I wish I would have paid full price for the excursion and not taken the tour. I was an emotional wreck at the location (it had mold, linen/room was dirty, food was disgusting) so when UVC promised all these things in a package I was excited to go. They put me in a really nice place, food was delicious but there were hidden fees. They showed me a book stating the high prices of resorts but when I looked online the prices to stay at the resort was the same as a non-member. I put $7995 on my credit card because of what was told me. I trusted them. They make you sign your name once and then it's inserted in all these fields. I should have read the contract prior to but after being there for over 6 hours I was exhausted! I just wanted to get to a room. The rooms are beautiful! They even give you a butler as a preferred member. That treatment comes with a big price which I found out later. I was told that the move/upgrade was free but found out later it wasn't. Once I returned home that's when I read the contract. I called RCI and they said no weeks were purchased on my behalf as of yet and I should call UVC and cancel with them. UVC stated the weeks were purchased already. Also UVC stated this is a HYATT MEMBERSHIP and it is not. It took 2 weeks for someone to finally return my call and that was once I said I wanted to cancel my membership via email. Then the rep offered to add an additional 10 year to the membership. UVC added to my stress. Now my daughter is 1 year from going away to college and my intentions were for us to travel a couple of times with the membership but I won't be able to afford to do anything with this contract. I thought this was a great deal but truly it is not. Run don't get a membership with them unless you read all the fine print and negotiate to an amount which is fair/right and exact. ive attached the promise writeup. I will never do anything like this again!
Desired outcome: Get me out of the contract and allow me to pay the going rate at that time that I stayed at the resort. It sure wasn't $2,600+

Unlimited Vacation Club certainly took you for a ride, and not the relaxing kind. They dangled a dream vacation, but it turned out to be more like a nightmare with hidden costs and questionable promises. You signed up for what seemed like a great deal, only to find out later that it was anything but. Lesson learned: next time, the fine print gets all the attention.
It is so sad that we can't trust what people say anymore. I will never do this again! I won't be pressured! The amount of time I was in the office I should have read the entire contact but they don't show you the entire contact. You sign your name once and it is populated into the entire contact that you get to see once they email it. I am very disappointed and I hope no one else ends up in my same situation. Have a great day.
