My Social Security is paid at 12:01 AM Central Time on the day its due. Why does US Bank wait several hours past that time before it shows up that they have the money. If i look in my account at 1 am Central time its not there, 3 am central time its not there. Every other bank that i have used has always had my Social Security check deposited by 12:01 am Central time on the day its due. why does US bank not due that. Dormant fees
I have been charged dormant fees on my account for months without my knowledge. I contacted customer service and talked to the most unhelpful customer service supervisor that I have ever talked to. His name was Brian and he claimed to have talked to his supervisor whose name was Mike. Brian refused to give me his last name or tell me how I could refer to him specifically to other supervisors. He refused to waive any of the dormant fees and refused to allow me to talk to anyone that had the authority to waive the fees.
Desired outcome: Waive the dormant fees. If I worked as a supervisor for Brian, I would also demote or terminate his employment. He doesn't seem to understand how a customer service department should work, much less a supervisory position.
Closed account
On 8/21 I deposited a check of 14,300 from an employer on 8/22 a hold was put on the check for 7 days when policy states 5 days. On 8/23 the check clears but US Bank proceeds to cancel my debit card . I was still able to log into account spoke with a rep that said my account was pending closure and was not given a reason if check was bad or returned that is a different story I need my money as soon as possible to pay my other workers and car payment plus mortgage

GAP refund never received after 7 months of paying off loan
We paid off our camper loan 7 months ago and were informed that we had a refund due on our GAP insurance. After speaking with loan officer, Chad Pierce, in detail about a home equity loan, and spending an entire afternoon gathering and sending extensive financial documentation that he requested, I was notified by USBank that they don't do these types of loans. I was also notified at the time that a hard inquiry had already been made on my credit even though the loan process should not have actually been started at this point. I called Mr. Pierce and explained to him that I was highly displeased about having my credit score lowered for no reason. He agreed to stop the loan process and have the hard inquiry removed. This was one week ago, and he has done nothing to rectify the problem.
Desired outcome: Remove the hard inquiry from all credit bureaus.
Stolen money
I opened up a bank account with US Bank, ignoring all the negative comments about that bank. I tried to do a mobile check deposit, then a couple days later the account gets close down I tried to call to see what was going on. No one could give me answers. It took a while to finally be told what was going on with that account And all I told them was I just wanted my money so after a while and non-helpful people I finally found someone that told me a check was coming. The check that came after many weeks wasn’t the amount that was in my account. There was missing total two checks a $200 check and a $29 check again I called to complain. No one could give me answers and I started to get frustrated because that’s a lot of money that I really need right now Again it took multiple people multiple transfers to finally be told it was the checks were in question I asked what was going on with the checks they couldn’t give me much answer so I go back to the person who wrote me the check he said he had his check stolen and to go to his bank to get a new one. The bank teller at his bank said that US Bank did indeed pull the 200 out , so when I called U.S. Bank to tell them that they said no, they returned the check. I said the check was returned once because when I called and talked about the check, the lady told me that they return the check and to go deposit it elsewhere so I tried to deposit the $200 check elsewhere for it to get bounced back as a duplicate so I tried to explain to US Bank you guys returned it the second time from Wells Fargo, because I was told to deposited a second time, because the first time didn’t go through but that was not factual I tried to explain to US Bank that they indeed pulled the 200 out and I have confirmation on a printed copy that they pulled out the $200 check and they told me there was nothing they could do that is not OK and I need this $200 that was stolen from me. Corporate tells me to call the branch branch tells me to call corporate both places tell me they cannot help me and that is not OK. I would like my $200 please or at least the check to be returned so I can try to get a new check from the customer.

Them all my information but they keep coming up with more reasons why they cant take it. I have given them a. Mo drivers license. My birth certificate my voters registration card, mail with my address on it. Yet they keeps saying it's not enough. I think they were lying to me.
Desired outcome: I just want my money back to close the Account won't trouble any more. I have never in my life seen the beat of this.
Fraud department
I bought 2 dresses on a website that stated they are a us company, then found out that its a china based company (bc they charged a foreign transaction fee). I then reported to the fraud department bc the scammer does not want to take the items back even though they are poor in condition, color not as expected, and style not as expected. Instead of punishing the scammer aka criminal, they sided with the criminals to allow them to steal my money and perhaps many other buyers around the world. The scammers change their websites so often and lie to customers by stating that they are either in usa or europe when in fact, they are based in china with no warehouse, no phone number, no address. Its a disgrace that a big bank like this would reward the criminals so they can scam more people around the world. Shame on us bank. I am taking my business elsewhere and hope other people would stay away from this scammer -loving bank because they wont protect the consumers. They will protect the thieves to steal your money.
2 months later Business Checking closed and no refund
Received one of those new business checking account offers with a $500 bonus. Account opened online 5/26/23 with a $6k wire transfer deposit from old business checking with Chase that I was hoping to close. After some confusion, I decided to not continue this transaction with U.S. Bank and requested they close the account. I performed everything that was asked of me, including the notarized letter. U.S. Bank mistakenly issued the refund check to the incorrect address and instead of just correcting their mistake, they claim to have mailed me a document called a Notice of Loss (that I never received) that I have to fill out and have notarized before they will be willing to re-issue the check that they already stop paid weeks ago. They never called to discuss the letter t hey claimed to send out and when I called in and was advised about this letter and requested they email it to me, they advised they cannot. Here we are 2 months later and no payment has been received.
Desired outcome: Refund - $6,089.50
My truck loan with us bank
Hi, my name is maria gloeckler and I currently have a loan with US Bank for my truck. I do not have an issue with payments or the amt of my payment. I have an issue with US bank calling me daily; sometimes twice a day, not leaving a message what it is in reference too. If US Bank is going to call me every day, leave a message; don't just call and not leave a message. I have spoken to several customer service reps over this same issue and yet I still keep getting phone calls.
Desired outcome: I appreciate a response and an apology.
Debt card services
On May 27 2023 My health care payment comes out with auto pay. Its worked since the begging of the year. On May 27 my health care was block and payment could not be made. I had the money in the account, I called card services and they said it wasnt blocked, I then called my health care back and went through the security process and my card was still blocked. I called card services back explained the problem all over again. Was told there was not a block and payment should be ok. This process of calling back and forth with no resolve untill June 19,2023. I was told to get a new debt card and that didnt work or solve the problem. I called so many days in a row spending 2 hours or more on the phone. I never found out the reason payment didnt go through.
My husband had back surgery end of Janurary 2023 so during the denied blocked payment time He had xrays and a neurlologist appointment which because of the blocked payment was not payed because my health care was cancelled after two weeks of non payment. They only take debt card payments.
I gave the reciepts to the us bank in north hills reno nv to send to the complaint dept. and was told us bank would not cover these cost even though it was US Banks fault for Blocking payment. And I was told it was my problem. Also was told on the last conversation that my health care was blocking a payment to them. I was treated so poorly ive been a long time customer.
I feel that was stressful wasted time and now I have a bill that should of been covered except it wasnt because of US Bank Debt Card services. I will keep complaining to every where I can till this is resolved some how.
Desired outcome: I would like a explaination of why i was put through this. I lost sleep, cryed all the time. And there is the medical bills that should be covered. None of this was my fault or doing. Just read my debt card file.
Focus card
Trying to change the phone number for my Focus Pay Card. I have updated it in their system 22 times and have not gotten a straight answer from them. My old number does not work. One rep tells me that it takes a hour to update and another rep tells me it takes 24 hours to update. I have called alot of times to get it updated, I think their UI sucks. Its flawed its needs to be addressed.
Desired outcome: I wanna be able to log into my Focus card and see my balance and have my new number updated.
Map assistance & obtaining pay off amount
i have been with US Bank since 2006. I experienced a loss in 2019 due to covid. i applied for the mortgage assistance program and was approved. I was not informed that the behind mortgage payments would be due all at once when applying for the program. Once my hardship was resolved, I was now expected to make all of the behind payments at once. I was informed to apply for further assistance, in which I did with no results. I would send over documents as requested by US Bank to only continue to receive incomplete documentation notices. Every time I called into US Bank I was told something different of the status of my modification. this went on for about 8-9 months. As a result. I had to file a chapter 13 bankruptcy in order to save my home. Now I am selling the property with a close date of July 26 and I can not received a pay off amount ! i was advised that this can take up to 10 business days! This has been an awful experience! Now I just need my pay off amount so that I may be done with US Bank! Please HELP
Personal checking account
I opened my account with us bank in april 2023. My retirement funds were direct deposit from social security and I also deposited checks from my part-time employment. On july 5, 2023 my employer passed away resulting in a freezing of all her accounts. Unbeknowst to me my paycheck was returned creating a negative balance of $372.00. I came into us bank the same day my account was negative with cash to correct my account with a explanation of what had transpired. While the "banker" that was helping me understood the situation he had no authority-other than receiving my money-to reopen my account that us bank has closed permanently wanting no other business with me. I am offended by the lack of customer service protocall and truly believe us bank is biased and simply did not want to payout the $300 sign up bonus to me due at the end of july 2023.
Desired outcome: None
In addition I have no access to my closed account to see other charges or credits that have or have not been applied.
Overdraft fees
US BANK agreed on 3 separate ocassions to refund overdraft fees that should NOT have been charged according to their agents. They never refunded the fee of $72 and stated that it didn't matter that they had told me the fees were to be refunded. US Bank stated that they can tell their customers anything including mislead and lie to customers and are not held accountable for what they say. They've now declined to refund me the fee. Obviously customer service reps are lacking in training and the institution as a whole is lacking in integrity and customer service. Very horrible experience with US BANK. They truly need a watchdog organization over them watching their procedures and antics. They operate as if they are banking crooks.
They stole $72 in overdraft fees that should NOT have been charged.
Desired outcome: REFUND $72 to my account. Stop lying to customers. Stop abusing customers. Take responsibility for your lack of training of your customer service reps.
Altitude credit card
My fiancé and I both applied for a US bank credit cards (Altitude Connect) when our furnace suddenly went out and we had to buy a new one quickly. Instead of using the 0% APR with the furnace company to finance our furnace we opted to both apply for US Bank Altitude Connect credit cards because of the following Offer: "Earn 50,000 bonus points when you spend $2,000 in eligible purchases within the first 120 days of account opening. That's a $500 value redeemable towards travel, gift cards, cash back, merchandise and more." As well as an extend pay program which states " Extended payments for unexpected expenses. Pay over time on purchases of $100 or more with no interest, just a small, fixed monthly fee."
We both apply for the cards, we get approved, we discuss in great detail our plans for the cards to the representative on the phone... each earn a little over $500 as we were both spending $5570 on our furnace, sign up for extend pay which would cost less than $100 and make monthly fixed payments with zero APR for our purchase and basically each get $400 for a total saving of $800 off our new furnace.
SOUNDS LIKE A GREAT PLAN RIGHT? This was the worst plan and here is why. You must apply for extend pay within 60 days of your purchase, you are unable to sign up when you make the purchase you must wait until you are sent an invite to start the extend pay. Month one goes by we both pay over $100 in interest while waiting for the invite for extend pay, 60 days go by an still no invite for extend pay after several calls to Bank Of America they make it very clear they have ZERO control over the extend pay service they advertise. At about day 65 we get an invite for extend pay, thats 5 days past the deadline and we no longer are eligible. We call Bank of American and again this is out of there control they can do nothing regarding extend pay. I do however explain my story to a representative and US Bank does refund our $100 in interest we both paid the previous month. So we both transfer our balance to other cards with zero APR for balance transfers we pay the 3% fee for the service and start making payments.
Since I now have no balance on my US Bank Altitude Connect Card it's time to get the cash rewards off the card. I attempt to transfer the $557 to my bank account as stated above CASH REWARDS...here's the catch you must have a US Bank account to transfer it to. So now I either apply for a US Bank checking or savings account in which my credit takes a soft hit, just so I can get the money I earned from the rewards program, or I get a $557 gift card which doesn't help me pay off my furnace and is not something I need.
My fiance and I have spent countless hours on the phone with US Bank since the day we decided to go this route to TRY to save money on our furnace. As soon as I get my $557 that is owed to me I will destroy my card, cut all ties with this company, and NEVER do business with them again..
