I was shopping at your 7th st and Union Hills Phoenix Az location yesterday 7/11/2023 as I have been a regular customer for over twelve years at this location without incident. As I was leaving I had a pair of socks in my hand along with my wallet which I had inadvertently neglected to purchase which I would have the moment I realized I was still holding onto them. Suddenly a manger one I have never previously seen as I know all of them by sight, came out and accused me of theft. He assaulted me physically tearing the item from my hands causing me to drop my wallet. As soon as I realized what I had done I cautiously headed back inside to pay for the item. He refused me standing at the door physically demanding I leave the premises or he would call the police. The item was $2.00. I have seen transients and drug addicts carry out shopping carts full of clothing from there without paying. This is indeed unfortunate. But to be treated as I was physically accosted when I have spent thousands of dollars in this location alone was unimaginable. I have been considering legal action and have contacted R&R law firm in hopes something can be done. As I said this was outside of the premises when he contacted me not inside. The manager or employee who did this was a tall brown haired man probably in his forties and he trespassed me from the property. I am appalled at this action and share some responsibility I do not condone be assaulted especially for an item so insignificant. When I could easily have been approached politely and been given the chance to pay for the item which I most assuredly would have done. Please contact me for the time being until my attorney takes over the case. Perhaps we can avoid some legal action.

Desired outcome: Further training and reprimand for overzealous employee. For the embarrassment and the ill treatment possibly additional avenues must be pursued.
