I absolutely love shopping at several Goodwill locations every week. I have a resale shop so I am a strong supporter of Goodwill and I always round off to support our Veterans. I don't like to complain but I feel it is necessary in this case.
The manager at your Alvin, Texas location is very hard to communicate with and very rude which affects your "Goodwill" reputation. His name is Phillip Paige.
A few weeks ago I noticed a set of china (not a complete set) but each piece was individually priced. I asked if he would give me one price for all the pieces he said NO. So I picked out just the pieces I could use it came to a total of almost $100.00! That was for only 12 pieces. I explained that I would take all of the set if he would discount it so that he wasn't left with just miscellaneous pieces that would never sell. He said No. I went back the next week and the china was still there, but one of the pieces that I had wanted was broken which ruined the whole set! I also found 4 matching coffee mugs which were also individually overpriced and asked the same question regarding selling it as a group, he said no. By not selling as a group your organization is losing money. I then asked to speak to the assistant manager he said no (she was listening in on the conversation. He told her not to talk to me and then he and walked away from me.
I am an honest and fair customer but I have heard from other shoppers at that location that things are way overpriced. I just think he needs training to learn the fair way to price items and also how to be cooperative with customers.
Claimed loss: none
Desired outcome: Train your manager
