An employee at a goodwill store in San Antonio Tx is the mother of my Nephew. We never saw eye to eye but until this day I had not seen her in over 20 years. Since all this time has passed I thought we could be friendly to each other. I said hi Megan twice. The first time in a low voice. The second time was a bit louder. This took place at the rear of the store which was completely empty. I was being nice and told her "you're looking good". She initiated a hug and it was over.

The next day I got an angry message from my nephew. His mother told him that I was being obnoxious - yelling and whistling at her. causing a huge scene.

A few months from when that happened I ran into her at a different store. I asked her why she lied. She held her position and would not budge. I asked for an apology and she refused. I reminded her that I took care of her Son (she abandoned him when he was 5) when nobody else would. Still nothing. I told her she was an awful person for doing this to me and left.

I should add that I am a reseller and have spent 10's of thousands of dollars at goodwill stores over the last 20 years. It is my livelihood.

Fast-forward 3 months, in a truly obnoxiously manor, the store manager comes running out yelling at me to get out. I am a 49 year old man who has developed many positive relationships with employees at all the goodwill locations around San Antonio. So for this to happen was very shocking.

I was beside myself.

What did I do?

Later I found out that once again this employee lied to her management regarding my actions. First by reiterating the lies from our first encounter. Saying that I was acting in a threatening way. Making disparaging claims about how she raised her son (I only brought her son up to remind her that I have done good for her in her absence).

Additionally, she maliciously told her management that I lived on the North side of town and there is no logical reason I would be at a location on the East side of town. I am assuming to allude stalking. I have been going to ALL of the Goodwill's for 20 years and she was well aware of that.

I found out about these lies when a member of risk management called me up and explained to me what she had said (She being a family member with a psychological vendetta against me for doing her job as a parent). I was GUILTY of: stalking. obnoxious behavior. insulting her.

The outcome: I was BANNED FOR LIFE. I was not able to give my side of the story to anyone. Nobody would return any of my messages. I attempted to contact dozens and not even one had the decency to reply.

This is my livelihood that was ruined by one hateful family member in an instant. I am a little concerned to even post this because most of her family are career criminals and she herself is a felon. I need others to know what goodwill has done to me based on one person who resents me for being a parent to her child when she refused to do so.

Claimed loss: Major portion of my full livelihood.

Desired outcome: It's been a year. Can we please come to some sorts of terms? If that is impossible can you, at the very least, do an investigation? The last thing you would want is an employee making false claims against your customers.
