Purchased a refrigerator from Lowes and was told it would be delivered the next day between 9:30-1:30. 1:30 came and went with no contact from the delivery service. Called for an update and was told they are an hour behind. Almost two hours later a truck pulled up and a guy walked into our house.
He proceeds to tell us that he will not be taking the ld refrigerator away after we paid for the haul away. He said he did not have room in the truck for the old refrigerator and we were out of luck. So taking an item out and replacing it with the same size item somehow equates to no room? He complained about having 22 deliveries and walked out the door. Next thing we see is the truck pulling away and not delivering the refrigerator we purchased. Called the delivery dispatcher and surprise, she can not reach the delivery team.
Contacted Lowes customer service and she was uncaring and rude. Yes I was not happy with the service and since she had no concern about assisting with the issue we cancelled the order. When she told me the delivery was "attempted" I informed her that the plain flat out refused to deliver the refrigerator. She stated that I have to put that since thats the only option.
I will shop elsewhere from here on out.
Desired outcome: Protect customers from the disrespectful service by delivery service and customer service
