I have observed on more than one occasion, employees, at the direction of the manager, removing items marked for discount on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
"The color of the week" sale is to allow customers to purchase older inventory at a reduced price, The sale of the WEEK runs from Sunday through SATURDAY. If the manager is pulling the discount items from shelves on Wednesday, he/she is depriving customers of the sale.
Apart from being unethical, it can be considered illegal for false advertising and abuse of power by a corporation.
Since the majority of shoppers are either senior citizens or those who have financial difficulties, this seems like a prejudicial action.
It is especially egress since the inventory is donated with no expense for inventory by Goodwill. This is akin to price gouging when a greedy merchant takes advantage of an unfortunate situation, especially those who are forced to shop at thrift stores because of financial hardship.
Desired outcome: All managers be reprimanded, forced to stop immediately. I want $25 gift card usable any USA store.
