7-Eleven - store manager

On May 8, 2019, I stopped at the 7-Eleven Store at 9651 Washington Blvd, Laurel, MD 20723, to use the air machine. My car sensor stated that my tire pressure was low and I was on my way to a Doctor's appointment. The machine had only one slot for money and required that you push a button for either "Vacuum" or "Air". I put my only change ($1.50) in the machine and immediately the vacuum came on. The machine did not give me an option to select the air button. In a hurry to make my doctor's appointment on time, I went into the store and told Betty, at the counter, what had happened and she responded that if I put my money in the wrong slot, that was my fault, as I stated previously, there was only one slot for the money. I explained to her that the vacuum came on automatically and asked if she could reset the machine and give me my money because I was in a hurry. She told me that I needed to talk to the manager. We waited until the manager was done helping a customer and Betty told him that I wanted my money back from the air machine. He was a tall India man that spoke loudly and harshly. I didn't get his name, because he spoke so harshly to from the beginning. I am an African American female, and I was the only African American customer in the store. The manager stated loudly in front of all the customers that if I put my money in the wrong slot that was my fault. I asked for his District Manager's contact information, and he immediately told Betty to give me the $1.50, I lost in the machine, and he to me to go to another store. There were several customers in line waiting to be serviced by him, and in the store. I turned to Betty and asked her for the District Manager or Owner contact information because I was offended by how he was communicating to me in front of other customers. Betty told me that the rude India guy was the owner. He then yelled, "I gave your money back; get out of my store." One customer started talking loud asking for cigarettes as the manager kept repeating that I need to get out of his store. I was afraid because it felt as if the manager was trying to incite customers in the store to harm me in some way. How is someone like that is allowed to work in or own a 7-Eleven franchise that is customer oriented? It's very scary!
